I would hire Zachera a thousand times over again if I could! From the very first meeting, she was such a friendly and warm presence. I knew immediately that she would be a great as...
set on our wedding day, the incredible photos aside! Zachera had great suggestions for our timeline and input on where we should go for our photos around the city. She somehow made it seem like there was not another soul in downtown Chicago at the Wrigley building when, in reality, it was flooded with people. She kept to our timeline and even finished our family photos 10 minutes early, allowing us all a few minutes to relax before our ceremony. Our wedding party also made several comments about how great she was.
We absolutely love both our engagement and wedding pictures. Everything looks so natural and true to the colors of the day, which is exactly what we wanted. She captured so many special moments that we otherwise wouldn’t have seen or remembered. We are so grateful and hope to work with her again one day. THANK YOU, Zachera! Our favorite vendor by far!
I’ve done photography as a hobby for years, which means I know enough to be super picky on artistic styles, but I also know that you need waaaaay more talent and skill to to do it ...
professionally. So I did so. much. research. before choosing a photographer. I had a giant spreadsheet. There are a lot of amazing photographers in Chicago! And Zachera is the best of them all. Her photos are vibrant and colorful, artistic but not pretentious, and she excels at both wall-worthy portraits and capturing tiny adorable moments throughout the day.
By the time I reached Z on the spreadsheet, I had seen so many beautiful galleries! But Zachera’s were the first to make my heart skip a beat with JOY for two people I’d never met! Somehow she is able to capture this bright, radiant joy that pops out of the screen at you.
Working with Zachera is a dream. She truly is an expert - from helping put together a timeline to having all sorts of tips for enjoying the moment. I ran so many questions by her while planning and she had all the answers, like some sort of magical bridesmaid who knows everything about weddings.
And now that we’ve got our gallery back I am truly amazed by how much she was able to capture. She remembered every single detail on our photo wishlist and made it happen, and so much more. We have the most gorgeous portraits that I will treasure forever. She captured the joy and emotion of the first looks with my Dad and my husband, and the sweet and hilarious moments getting ready with my mom. She took so much care to learn about our multicultural ceremony so she could capture every aspect of it. She went along with all my ideas, including spending all of cocktail hour making sure we got pictures with all our guests. She was in non-stop motion during our reception, capturing the most joyful action shots of our big choreographed dances! We had so much fun planning the decor for the day, and Zachera’s photos capture all of it with so much care, artistry and gorgeous true-to-life colors. We look back through the album and are brought right back to every detail.
But my favorite thing is that before the ceremony I was chilling in the bridal suite, and I hadn’t realized that my aunts were warmly welcoming all our guests and helping them put on bindis and bangles. I didn’t see any of that but Zachera did! I love how many moments between our loved ones happened without us even knowing, and that Zachera’s photos let us experience all of them afterwards.
It’s clear from the photos, but Zachera is a technical wizard. We are an interracial couple and I really wanted to make sure our wedding photos capture the diversity of skin tones across our family and friends. Every person looks incredible in every single photo. On top of that we threw all kinds of lighting situations at her, from a dark restaurant to portraits outdoors at noon. In every picture, she captured exactly what it felt like - and we look amazing!
Zachera is also just the greatest person to have by your side all of wedding day, and we truly think of her as a friend now. My family members still talk about how impressed they are by her organization and ability to wrangle all of us into a family portrait. Zachera and her second shooter Sadie have such kind personalities and made me feel so beautiful all day. Our smiles are 100% genuine! On the most joyous day of your life, you need someone you can trust to capture that joy for you and preserve it forever, and without a doubt that’s Zachera.
It is hard to put into words how much Zachera means to us. Not only is she immensely talented, she was such a calm and grounding force during the chaos of the day. She was able to ...
capture the love and fun of our wedding in a way I didn’t think possible, and looking back on our wedding photos transports us back to those moments and feelings. We couldn’t be more grateful for her, and choosing to work with Zachera was one of the best decisions we made while wedding planning.
Zachera was the best vendor we hired for our wedding—hands down. From start to finish, she was incredibly organized. She struck the perfect balance of keeping us on schedule while ...
still letting us fully enjoy the moments.
Beyond her talent behind the camera, she brought such calming, positive energy. As a bride, you spend your whole day with your photographer, and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to be around.
Our photos are beyond stunning—so many favorites we’ll never be able to choose. Every part of our day was captured beautifully, including our catholic mass and our reception at the Bridgeport Art Center.
If you’re on the fence, don’t be. Zachera is worth every penny and then some.
Hard to describe how much of a talent and genuine person Zachera is. From our initial phone interview to the wedding day, she provided everything we needed and more! The engagement...
photo shoot was a great opportunity to get comfortable prior to the wedding day. This made the wedding day flawless and almost seem effortless!
I have had some experience with photography in graduate school and was stunned when I opened our first photo package at the quality of the images!
Besides the photo quality, Zachera is super easy to work with, extremely organized and has great attention to detail. Prior to our wedding day, we had multiple meetings and had a schedule to follow that worked perfectly! She was a pleasure to work with and always had a great turnaround time with our photos!! Highly recommended!!

ble around the camera. She is super talented and we are in love with her work! We were unable to bring our pup to our engagement photoshoot so she went out of her way to meet us again so we can have a photoshoot with him. She helped make our wedding day absolutely perfect and we can’t thank her enough.
We love you, Zachera! Thank you so much for capturing our wedding so beautifully.

ng day and she did our engagement shoot too. She also will work with you to customize your photography package in a way that works best for your goals and budget. On both days, she made us feel very comfortable and natural and we are thrilled with the way the photos have turned out!
Zachera was easy to work with and detail oriented—even remembering individual family members’ names during family photos. She went above and beyond to make sure she knew exactly how to work with the lighting and spaces by joining us at the final walkthrough at our venue. She mastered the lighting at the University Club—which I’m sure is difficult to do as our ceremony backed up to the stained-glass windows overlooking the lake. She also helped us create a timeline that worked perfectly for our location in downtown Chicago and large bridal party.
Zachera’s photography style is beautiful and true to life, which is amazing because looking at the pictures feels exactly like how we remember our wedding day. We highly recommend booking Zachera for your photography needs!
We can't recommend Zachera enough for wedding photography. We found her through a recommendation from a friend, who said of all the vendors they had worked with for their wedding, ...
Zachera was the one you had to work with. She more than delivered.
For both our engagement and wedding photos, she made us feel comfortable (which is no small feat especially for me) and even made it fun! The final product was amazing and captured us as a couple. We really appreciated that her editing style is timeless and classic, and not too stylized.
In addition, when we needed help on determining first look location, permits, or back up plans, she came prepared and proactively helped us tackle challenges. She always found a way to go above and beyond, and felt like we were in good hands.
Choosing Zachera was the best decision we made, and we would highly recommend her to any couple looking for an amazing photographer and person.

(thank goodness for the engagement shoots!), to staying on calls longer with me to ask how I was doing during the insurmountable wedding planning process, all the while keeping an open and transparent line of communication – Zachera simply ‘gets it’. She is one of the best humans to ever exist that is following her passion, and the expertise that comes with it can be seen in her work. The proof is in the puddin'! My husband and I can’t wait to work with Zachera again during other life milestones!
We can't thank Zachera and Sadie enough for everything they did to capture all of the special moments throughout our wedding day. The photos are so perfect, and everyone who has ha...
d the chance to see them is amazed at the quality and beauty. We also felt like they really protected our time and wishes throughout the day, and helped us get the photos they knew we'd want while also making sure it was the perfect day. We also noticed how hard they worked, and we are so glad they were there with us every step of the way!

in our photographs. She artfully captured every emotional moment, alongside her second photographer, and we are blown away by the results. Not to mention, having an engagement shoot was a huge plus! It was great to get to know Zachera so early in our planning process and to know she was putting careful thought into every step of the day. You can't go wrong with her!

ement photos, rehearsal dinner, and wedding day - I cannot express the gratitude we have for Zachera perfectly capturing our wedding events.
She radiates joy, and genuine excitement and happiness for her clients, and we felt it every step of the way. She has an ability to connect with you as a couple and make you feel comfortable being in front of the camera - which can be such an unfamiliar feeling! Posing, candidness, details, she will help you through all of it. Questions, planning or frantic wedding worries - she is truly a text away!
At our rehearsal dinner, guests adored her and her team for their ability to capture moments, views and ensure everyone was comfortable. Her planning is thorough and intentional, ensuring she’s informed of photo lists, vision, family dynamics, priorities, etc. With her preparation, our wedding day could not have been more perfect. Zachera and her team arrive early, prepared, ready to organize bridal parties, parents, family and capture beautiful details shots. In addition to trusting Zachera’s professional vision, she also helped bring to life inspiration photos and looks we wanted to recreate. She helped us evaluate timelines, permits, photo locations seamlessly. We were even ahead of schedule on photos - not sure if that ever happens on wedding days!!
Truly, numerous family members, friends and guests commented after our wedding weekend, on how much they enjoyed Zachera and her beautiful photos! We are literally obsessed with every photo and her ability to turn around previews and entire galleries to let us relive the day through her photos. Zachera will be my first call for any photo worthy events in the future!
My husband and I also gained a true friend with Zachera! I know she will be your favorite vendor, person and decision ever!!!!
If you've landed on Zachera's profile for a wedding photographer- no need to look anywhere else, you've found the best in Chicago. When my husband and I were looking for a photogra...
pher, we knew how important this selection would be. We weren't going to be using video so we knew we wanted someone that would reflect our personality on the other side of the lens. Upon our first call with Zachera- we knew immediately she understood us as a couple. She worked with us amidst tight ceremony location photography requirements and coached us through our engagement shoot flawlessly, immediately making us feel comfortable.
On our wedding day, having Zachera there felt like having another friend or family member alongside us. She captured the day's most important moments with ease, and went through all of the emotions with us. We had initially planned to be outside for photos but the rain forced us to change course- Zachera wasn't phased. She proposed a few different options and let us choose- ultimately I completely forgot it even rained. We had such a fun time with our group capturing our day and the photos.... THEY ARE AMAZING. Absolutely hire Zachera if you can- she will capture your day in a way that reflects YOU.
I'm writing this review almost a year late, and I only hope that I can do some justice to Zachera by saying that after all this time, I'm still in love with my wedding photos just ...
as the day we received them! We got married in May 2022, and even a week ago my friends mentioned Zachera out of the blue and were praising Zachera and her team's professionalism, workflow, and care at our wedding. Throughout the entire process, Zachera has been extremely communicative from day 1 when we inquired about her way back in 2019, survived through two postponements from the pandemic, and finally delivering our finished photos. Zachera's work speaks for itself, and she is just an amazing human being to work with. Zachera knows the right poses to make you and your partner look great on camera, and she definitely hyped us throughout the day with her positive energy. For our wedding, Zachera and her team had to shoot a lot of group photos of family and friends requiring a lot of patience while trying to stick to the schedule, and they executed this so well. I can't imagine anyone other than Zachera capturing our wedding day photos, and we're so thankful to have shared our special day with her!
I cannot say enough good things about Zachera. She is truly the PERFECT wedding photographer in every aspect. Her work speaks for herself, but the one thing I will say is that our ...
wedding photos were so incredible that we had a new unforeseen problem, which was choosing which photos to print and display! It is a truly impossibly decision to make, they are all so great I want to have my house decked out in floor to ceiling prints of our photos LOL.
Where I think Z goes above and beyond, and is truly light years beyond her peers is her professionalism and ability to command the room while keeping the energy fun. Taking wedding party/family photos was not only not a headache, it was one of the highlights of our day! Our friends and family to this day talk about how great she was. The energy was light & FUN and it truly made our photos look so candid & effortless. On top of that, she knew the names of VIPs in photos and was able to easily coordinate a large group of people (who are historically difficult to wrangle). I think this is something brides don’t think about when picking a wedding photographer but I promise you the lack of stress around getting all the photos taken is worth EVERY penny. If you want unbelievably beautiful wedding photos AND have fun taking them AND be stress free then Z is your gal. On top of that, she is QUICK the sneak peak photos arrived so fast. Literally cannot say enough good things 12000/10. ❤
Zachera and her team are incredible, they are so fun and easy to work with. She made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and helped keep our day moving right along. When we ...
saw our preview pictures, the emotions from our wedding day started all over again. We feel like she captured us perfectly. We both look so happy and genuine in every single shot. The pictures really feel like us. If you have the opportunity to work with this team, consider yourself lucky!
I am in love with Zachera. Zachera, if you read this, we should probably become best friends. Not only is Zachera a beautiful person inside and out, she stuck with my husband and I...
through the entire pandemic with grace and understanding. For our engagement shoot in 2019, Zachera flew all the way to Los Angeles to take stunning photos on the beach. In 2020 when we had the ever popular mini ceremony, Zachera was there to ensure the day was even more beautiful than we imagined. And in July 2022, Zachera helped us finally celebrate our marriage with our family and friends. She was so patient with me when I was overwhelmed and was more helpful in the planning process than I could have dreamed of. She makes the day fun, makes sure to capture who you and your partner truly are, and manages to make the lighting bend to your every wish. She is truly a photography wizard and extraordinary person. I seriously cannot recommend her more.
From the moment we met Zachera over a zoom call we were obsessed! She is the sweetest human and beyond talented! One thing that stood out as we were searching for the perfect photo...
grapher is that she included an engagement shoot as part of her packages because she wanted to meet us before the big day and get to know us as a couple! We had the best time at our engagement shoot with her and she made us feel so comfortable -it was a blast! The pictures turned out stunning and we will cherish them forever.
Zachera always goes the extra mile - we invited her to our final walkthrough with our venue and she came to scope out photo spots and see the venue with us. It meant so much that she took time out of her busy day to come meet us as we were a month out from our wedding!
On our wedding day as soon as she walked in I was SO excited, at this point she was more than our photographer, but a friend! She came in, set up, and started doing her thing! She took so many pictures and made sure she captured every detail! She made sure we stuck to our timeline and if I needed help with my hair, veil or dress she was there! The pictures turned out so stunning from our first look to walking down the aisle she captured all the emotions we felt on our day so wonderfully. She was quick to return the photos back and I go through them weekly - we are obsessed! I feel very lucky that we were able to work with Zachera. She was the wedding photographer of our dreams and I look forward to working with her again :) If you are looking for a superwoman photographer - she is the gal for you!

ortable being photographed and the pictures are exceptional. We could not be happier with how perfectly she captured the day!
Photography for our wedding was one of the most important aspects for us to plan. We did a lot of research to find the perfect fit. Looking at her photos, Zachera was evidently a v...
ery talented photographer and is able to capture so much joy and light in her photos. After speaking with her during our first meeting, we knew she was the right person to work with. Her kindness, compassion, wanting to get to know us, and love for what she does were some of the many reasons we wanted to work with her. She is incredibly organized, pays attention to every detail, checked in with us throughout the process, and listened/ really cared about what we wanted to make sure the day was special for us. At first, we were unsure if we were financially able to work with Zachera and her team. However, we decided to make financial adjustments in other parts of the planning to be able to work with her. It was the absolute best decision.
Zachera cares so much for every person she works with. This was clear when we met her but even more evident when the wedding day approached. 3 days before the wedding, we were informed that Zachera would be unable to be at our wedding due to a situation beyond her control. She informed us this is the first time she has ever had to miss photographing one of her weddings. Not only did Zachera show as much emotion and sadness about the situation as we felt, but she did everything she could to make sure we still had a wonderful experience. She was able to find another photographer (Jasmine, who was amazing) 3 days before our HOLIDAY weekend wedding. Zachera spent hours talking with us, reassuring us, and making sure every detail we planned with her would be brought to life with the other photographer. We cannot even imagine how much time she spent going over the timeline, relaying our wishes, and explaining everything with Jasmine—with only 72 hours before our wedding day. We have so much respect for Zachera because while we were absolutely devastated to hear that she would not be able to be there, she made sure that the day went smoothly and was there with us in spirit.
We recommend Zachera to everyone we know; her photography is beautiful but even more than that, SHE is the best, most organized, most positive, and most caring professional we have ever worked with. And for us, finding someone we could trust and rely on for our special day meant everything.
We knew photography was going to be a big priority for us going into wedding planning - we wanted to find someone to truly partner with us to capture our special day. We spoke to ...
at a lot of photographers, it was an overwhelming experience - but you know that feeling when your shoulders finally relax, something just clicks and feels right? That's what we both felt after speaking with Zachera. Simply put - Zachera is a special human and an amazingly talented photographer. She has a vibe and energy to her that both excited us about the possibilities of what our wedding could be and calmed the nerves we both had going into planning. Neither of us are super comfortable in front of a camera, but Zachera is an artist and made us both feel so comfortable and took the extra effort to get to know us as if we were long-time friends. She worked with us and our wedding planner to put together a seamless timeline that ran perfectly. Throughout the entire planning process, she was organized, communicative, professional and perhaps most importantly- intentional about everything she does--ensuring our day was captured just right.
Zachera, her second shooter and coordinator showed up on time with such great excitement and energy. Our sneak peak came with days and our full photo set less than a month later! I can't tell you how much we love our wedding photos and how grateful we are to have found Zachera. If you have the opportunity to work with her, don't pass it up. Zachera Photo was hands down the best investment we made for our wedding and will cherish these photographs for the rest of our lives. Thank you, Zachera <3
Zachera is the absolute BEST! I cannot put into words how incredible our experience with Zachera was but I will try my best! Zachera is that vendor that you recommend to ALL of you...
r family and friends - the one that the moment people get engaged, you're telling them all about her. High quality, professional, fun, energetic, punctual, reliable, organized, prepared - all words that can be used to describe Zachera and her team. My husband and I knew Zachera was the one the moment we hopped on a video call with her. Her positive energy radiated through the screen and we instantly clicked. We felt at ease and knew we were in good hands.
At our engagement photo session, Zachera made the whole experience so fun and lighthearted. We are both camera shy people but she made us feel so comfortable and even wore a portable speaker for some background music. It was such a nice touch to avoid the silence and made the whole experience feel more romantic and natural. She was so great with our dog as well, which is major brownie points with us!
Throughout the whole planning process, Zachera was my sounding board. She let me bounce ideas off of her and gave me her honest opinion. She helped me put together my shot list in an organized, realistic manner to ensure the day-of photos ran smoothly. Her communication is superb and her response time made me wonder if she was superhuman.
Flash forward to the wedding day - what a dream of a photography team. The three ladies were beyond incredible. Everyone was punctual, professional and prepared. They made taking photos painless and were beyond efficient, despite cold and rainy weather. I was able to get not only all of the photos on my shot list, but also all the photos on my extra wish list as well. Zachera was so prepared and even had ginger snaps for me when I was feeling nauseous after the trolley ride. Just beyond incredible.
Within days of the wedding, we had a massive preview album of GORGEOUS photos. Within weeks of the wedding, we had our full album. Again - I was questioning if she was superhuman. The turnaround time was just unreal and more than I could have ever asked for. The photos are just stunning and I have had so many people reaching out about the incredible quality of the photos. Many people have told me that they have never seen photos this amazing and commented on how incredible my photographer is. You never would have known it was a cold and rainy day if it wasn't for our umbrellas in the shots. Zachera made a gloomy day turn into the dream backdrop for our wedding photos.
The only downside of working with Zachera is that you will miss her so much once you don't have an excuse to talk to her daily BUT you can always comment on every single insta story and photo she posts (definitely not speaking from experience here LOL) & her response time is just as incredible now that it's all over as the day it all began.
Zachera was the very best choice my husband made for our wedding and we will definitely be booking her for all of life's events in the future. This is the vendor you can't miss out on - BOOK NOW!!!!!
I am not sure where to begin, but Zachera is simply THE BEST. From the first consult meeting, to our engagement session and then our special day, Zachera was an absolute dream to ...
work with. It is evident she is a hard working, dedicated photographer. She provides nothing short of a high quality experience. She cares so deeply about her clients. She took the time to get to know us and understand my husband and I as a couple.
My husband and I had to reschedule our wedding due to the pandemic and Zachera was so flexible and supportive through it all. She checked in on us and even sent us a holiday gift!!!
On our wedding day, her and her team were not simply “just photographers”. They all stepped in to help with ANYTHING, coordinate as needed, ease the nerves and highlight the pure joy and happiness on our special day.
Zachera was there to tell me how to carry my train, button the many buttons on my dress, adjust my garter, and even pick confetti out of my hair!!
Every photo she captures elicits a memory and fills your heart with so much love. You could look at the all the photos she took 3 times in one day and still feel all the excitement and happiness as if you were seeing them for the first time.
We cannot thank Zachera enough for her amazing work. We thank Zachera for all that she did and all that she is. She’s a gem. We now have stunning photos that tell our story and show us that our wedding was the best day of our lives and everyone we hoped it would be.
We are so lucky and blessed she was our photographer!!!
Much love to Zachera and her team!!
Zachera is the absolute BEST! She was such a joy to work with for our wedding! From our first meeting with Zachera, we knew we made the right choice for our photographer! Throughou...
t the whole process, Zachera was responsive, helpful, and so easy to work with. She was flexible and accommodating, as shown by our crazy, stormy engagement session that she still managed to capture beautifully. She was organized, efficient, and so professional, taking on our large bridal party and many family photos with ease. Not to mention that her photos are gorgeous - we are obsessed with each of of them! She captured our day so beautifully! We can not say enough good things about Zachera and can not recommend her enough!!
Zachera was an absolute DREAM of a vendor. I have told everyone I know that is planning a wedding to book her! From the moment we met Zachera, to well after our wedding day, she ha...
s just been the best. She is spunky and fun and creative and professional and literally just ALL the things! When we decided to postpone due to COVID, she was more than accommodating. She even sent us a little gift when COVID got really hard. It blew me away that she, as the vendor that was hit so hard during COVID, was sending US gifts. We had rain on our wedding day and my flowers leaked bright orange pollen down the front of my dress- I looked over and Zachera was plucking out those damn problem flowers for me. She bustled my dress when my bridesmaids couldn’t figure it out. She literally changed my shoes for me when my dress wouldn’t allow me to reach down to do it myself. She taught me how to carry my veil over my arm when I was walking so it wouldn’t get dirty. I could go on and on. Zachera is SO much more than a photographer. She was a true angel sent to us by the wedding gods. I have said many times that our wedding day would not have been even close to the same without her. Oh, and the PICTURES are everything! I have had many people tell me they are the most beautiful wedding photos they have ever seen. I am forever indebted to Zachera and cannot wait to book her again for exciting life moments in need of photography.

nly regret will be not hiring her. She takes amazing photos to capture your day, and she's sure everyone is having a good time while it happens! Only love for Zachera, so happy we were able to have her and Sadie at our wedding.
Zachera brought all of our wedding photography dreams to life!! My mom was a guest at a wedding she photographed for and immediately noticed her welcoming and professional demeanor...
towards not only the wedding party but the guests as well. All of our dialogue with Zachera before, during, and after our wedding was so professional. We had the pleasure of having her with us for 3 days over the course of our wedding weekend and she did not disappoint! Before our wedding date, she worked with us to find the perfect locations for wedding party photos as well as back up locations. She carries herself in such a calm and reassuring manor to really help calm any nerves and just make everything feel so perfect! Even throughout our wedding weekend, she made sure to communicate with us, so that we got everything we wanted and she didn't miss any shots. Her guidance for posing was also very helpful. It made our bridal party and all of our family feel very natural with our photos. Zachera's entire team made our wedding photos so fun and memorable. Even when we got to a photo location that was crowded with other bridal parties, Zachera was so calm and reassuring we would have plenty of time to get the perfect shots we needed. I cannot say enough amazing things about Zachera and her team! To top it all off, she was so quick to get us a sneak peak the next week then get our full photo album WAY sooner than we were expecting! All of our photos turned out beautifully. I would recommend Zachera over and over again! We cannot wait to work with her again in the future for other photo sessions!
Where to even begin. Zachera is truly one of the best in the business. From day one of our phone conversation, I knew Zachera is who I wanted to capture our wedding day. Her desire...
to truly get to know us as a couple reassured me that I could trust her with one of the biggest jobs of the entire day! Although we hired her as our wedding photographer, she was so much more than that. She helped me find the perfect spot to get bridal party photos by scoping out the venue at the very time of day that we would be there, and reassured me that we would find the perfect spot--and we did! Zachera never hesitated to call me (and vice versa) in the final stages of planning to make sure we were in communication and on the same page about the day of. On the wedding day, Zachera (and her whole team) was so calm and easy to work with despite our jam packed schedule, and she was constantly offering help and guidance. She truly had my back on the wedding day...she was one of, if not THE most trusted vendor I had on our wedding day. While we were on our honeymoon, we received a preview of some of our photos and my husband and I could not stop smiling. Her skills and talent are truly such a gift. I would 1000% recommend Zachera to any couple. Zachera, please know how much we appreciate you so much!
I don’t even know where to begin with Zachera! When I had my first meeting with her back in 2019, I left the coffee shop we met at feeling like I had just caught up with an old fri...
end. This was so important to my husband and I as so many people kept telling us about how much time you spend with your photographer and how important it is to find someone you’re comfortable with.
Zachera was incredible to work with. In our first meeting, she told me that her goal is to capture the feelings and emotions of the day and this couldn’t be more true with our pictures. Our engagement pictures show the glee and excitement of planning and counting down to the big day. Our intimate ceremony pictures capture the love despite what was going on in the world around us. Lastly, the postponed celebration pictures encompass all the love, excitement, and joy all over again and I couldn’t be happier to have these pictures to look back on for years and years.
We truly couldn’t have asked for a better photographer turned friend. If you’re newly engaged and looking for someone who can flawlessly capture all the big moments and small details, look no further than Zachera!
OMG... where to even begin?! Zachera is amazing. The most incredible wedding photographer, hype girl, and delegator of all for your wedding day - she checks every box possible for ...
a wedding photographer. She genuinely cares about her clients and it shows in her personal interactions and in the absolutely stunning quality of her photos.
Zachera came to us in a seriously stressful moment amid COVID wedding planning. We no longer could trust our previous wedding photographer to honor our postponement date and were left feeling deflated and sad. One phone call with Zachera made it all ok. She promised to make our day perfect - no matter the date - and empathized with our situation emotionally and financially. She made us believe it would be everything we had ever dreamed of, regardless of the experience we had before.
From our "would have been wedding date" shoot to the actual day of, we felt Zachera had our best interest at heart and took personal pride in making us look beautiful in her pictures!!
Our wedding photos are beyond my wildest dreams. She effortlessly captured all of the perfect moments - staged or not - and returned them to us within weeks. It has been a blast reliving the day with my husband and our closest family and friends.
I cannot rave enough about Zachera. If you're lucky enough to be able to book her (get on her calendar ASAP!), I know you'll have the best time working with her. She is worth every penny and more!
With my mother being a photographer, there were BIG shoes to fill. We were immediately taken with Zachera’s website and even more so upon meeting her in person. Her passion for her...
work is real and clearly evident. Her style is genuine, classic, individual and refined. She is easy to work with and personable. In documenting the moment, she is aware of and attentive to every detail, connection, relationship, emotion and person. She gives direction so that the tiniest gesture or nuance completes the photo. We have never felt so at ease in front of the lens or as beautiful. She captured it all flawlessly. Our wedding photos leave us breathless with each viewing. She has given us the best present and one that will endure. We cannot recommend her highly enough. If and when we need a photographer in the future, there will be no need to look further. Thank you Zachera!
Simply put, Zachera was the best decision when it came to our wedding planning! The attention to detail that she & her team had on our wedding day reflected in every photo taken. L...
ooking back at the photos makes our hearts swell; they are breathtaking. In the photos, there were so many intimate moments, so much genuine laughter & so much serenity captured. Beyond the photos, our wedding would have not gone so perfectly if we didn't have Zachera & her team! Zachera had every detail of our timeline down & did everything in her power to keep us on track. With our bi-cultural wedding having so many moving parts, that was not an easy task but she executed it in the politest/smoothest way possible.
She is the most personable yet most professional person to work with, which is so important in a photographer because they are side by side with you throughout the whole day. We believe that couples should have a connection with their photographer; with Zachera, it's like she read our minds & never missed a beat. She made us feel confident throughout the whole day and left no room for us to panic.
She really goes above and beyond for her couples- to the point that she even picked us up Gatorade on the wedding day when it was getting too hot out for us. That wasn't a one time thing or out of character for her; she checked in throughout the whole time leading up to the wedding, encouraging and supporting us in every way. Forever grateful for her presence, the passion she has for her art and her kindness.
As an amateur photographer, I always knew that a wedding photographer is one of the most important things to make sure you get right for a wedding. A great photographer can make AN...
YTHING look absolutely breathtaking. Zachera is -- without a doubt -- a great photographer. So that box is checked.
What made Zachera stand above any other photographer we could've possibly hired was her presence, charisma, and character. She didn't feel like a photographer at our wedding -- she felt like a guest. She fit in seamlessly, which led to better photos of people smiling genuine smiles, doing genuine things. That was priceless to me. Not a single regret with Zachera. To be honest, I think she surprised me in how great a wedding photographer can be.
Where do I begin? Zachera is literally the most amazing photographer and was my saving grace on our wedding day. I was living in Chicago and my now husband was living in Detroit an...
d he decided to propose to me on a run in the middle of March on Lake Shore Drive. He found Zachera to help capture our engagement and I loved her right there and then and knew we had to have her as our wedding photographer. She travelled to East Lansing to take our engagement photos and travelled to Detroit to capture our wedding. I want to cry every time I go through all of our photos. She does a beautiful job and makes you feel so comfortable throughout the entire process. It rained on our wedding day and Zachera had already scoped out the city of Detroit for our back up plan - I did not have to do anything. She took care of any stress I had from the weather and she turned made our wedding day that more amazing. I have nothing but great things to say about Zachera! I hope to have her capture all our future life experiences! Thank you so much, Zachera! We are forever grateful to have you as our wedding photographer!!!
When we started looking for a photographer, it was a very overwhelming process. Once we met with Zachera, she walked us through what working with her for our special day would be ...
like and help put many of our fears to rest. With our first photo interactions during our engagement photo session, we fully realized how lucky we were to be working with Zachera. She took the time to pick the best locations for us based on our preferences and even put up with less than ideal weather conditions (rain and lightning) to ensure we got the best photos possible.
By the time we got to a month away from the wedding and we were at maximum stress level, Zachera sat down with us again to walk through the day and ensure she had everything we wanted photographed. We felt so at ease knowing that Zachera was in charge of our photos and would take the best pictures possible.
When we got to the Wedding Day, Zachera was all over getting the photos we wanted, helping corral our large wedding party (20+), and being able to pivot locations on the fly due to weather. We couldn’t have asked for a more amazing person to be a part of our wedding and we absolutely love our photos. If photos are one of the most important parts of your wedding day like they were for us, then you must work with Zachera.

rvous about taking photos because we aren't naturals in front of a camera and we don't know which angles look best or which side is our good side. Zachera took away every insecurity, and made our wedding day so much fun. She has an air about her that makes everyone relaxed and confident. She had fun with our wedding party and worked with vendors to make the timeline work. She knows how to help you be yourself with posing, she can make you relax in front of the camera and enjoy having your photos taken. She delivered photos that are indescribably beautiful, and preserve the emotions of our wedding day forever. She will always hold such a special place in our hearts as the one who captured our first moment as husband and wife, the ten minutes we took to ourselves to soak it in after the ceremony, and the hours with our best people at our reception. And to top it all off, she's just a great human being who harbors a special talent, and brings so much happiness to wherever she is! I would hire her 10x over, she is THE BEST.
I don't even know where to begin with Zachera. She is a truly special human being, and it was an absolute honor to have her documenting our most intimate and special moments during...
our wedding day (and engagement shoot).
If you go to her website, it'll tell you what you need to know about her and her work, but what it doesn't do is detail exactly how amazing she is and how amazing she'll make you feel.
Before we officially booked Zachera, she set up a FaceTime meeting with us (we're in different states) and wanted to know our story so that she could ensure that we were the right fit for each other - an important step to making sure your day is going to be smooth and capture what you're envisioning!
After we booked her she was nothing but exceedingly kind, helpful, and accommodating.
I can't say enough how wonderful it was having her there on our wedding day. She really enhanced our entire experience, and I can't imagine our day without her help and guidance and kindness.
I am a self-conscious person who worries often what I'm going to look like in pictures, and that's not something you want to think about on your wedding day. Zachera helped make me feel like the most beautiful bride, with genuine sincerity.
Outside of Zachera being a great human, her work is absolutely stunning. It speaks for itself- you just need to look at her samples and you'll know. It makes you feel things. I don't know anything about photography but I do know that looking at her work conveys actual thoughts and feelings and not just images.
Please consider sharing your day with someone like Zachera, and rest easy knowing that your memories will be lovingly preserved.

how our love story and the joy of the day. I've lost count of the number of compliments we've received on her photography. She caught every moment we specifically requested, plus so many candid moments. And on top of being a fantastic photographer she is very organized and always responds to emails in a timely and thoughtful manner. I can't recommend Zachera highly enough, and I promise you will be so happy if you choose her for your big day.
Zachera deserves more than 5 stars. Pictures tell a story, and she wrote a timeless, beautiful novel for me and my husband. Every picture she takes is filled with powerful love &...
light. She is not only a special photographer, but a truly unique person who you will want closely by your side capturing the moments of your wedding day. I would choose Zachera 1000x over.

groom and bride, Zachera made every moment like that. It was stress free and fun the entire process. My family loved her from the start and it felt like we were long time friends. The photos do not take long to get back and they are beyond beautiful. All my friends and family couldn't stop saying what an amazing photographer we had. We will definitely be using her in the future as our family photographer. Thank you so much!
Zachera is so amazing to work with! She captures the most beautiful pictures and returned them to us so quickly. I would highly recommend choosing Zachera!
I would highly recommend Zachera to anyone in need of a wedding photographer! For starters, her wedding package pricing is extremely straightforward and focuses on the things that ...
I think most couples today find most important -- engagement session, 2 photographers at the wedding, and full access to digital files. When it came to working with Zachera, she was fantastic. She made my husband and I (we normally hate having pictures taken) feel very comfortable in front of the camera. She is also great at directing large groups on the wedding day, getting all of the desired shots in an efficient manner. And most of all, we love the way our photos turned out! An added bonus is how fast the turnaround time for us to get them was. Do not hesitate to book Zachera for your wedding!
Zachera was AMAZING! If you are contemplating using her don't think any longer and just do it! For one, I actually hate taking pictures. I've always thought my smile was awkward...
and always felt very uncomfortable posing for pictures. Upon meeting Zachera for our engagment pictures she right away made us feel great - it wasn't awkward at all. She had a way of making me feel beautiful, and was so encouraging the whole time.
Now for the main event, our wedding. I literally tear up every time I look through our pictures. Zachera found a magical way to capture every moment perfectly. Even months later people are still commenting on how beautiful our pictures are - they truly look like they are straight out of a fairy tale. Zachera wasn't just there to take pictures, but she also helped me with my dress and veil, and provided some good emotional support when things got a bit stressful. When I look back at my wedding and how wonderful it was, a huge part of that I owe to Zachera.
Zachera is amazing! Plain and simple. Her work speaks for itself, but what’s more, her work is consistently excellent. When I first spoke with her on the phone, she immediately put...
me at ease with her explanation of how she works and how she communicates with clients, and once I got the photos back from our engagement shoot I was hooked.
She doesn’t take a bad photo, her editing skills are impeccable, and she truly captures and distills the essence and individual magic of your day. Not only is she fantastic at what she does, but she is a WONDERFUL person, and great to be around. She is able to make you and your group feel comfortable, allowing her to observe the natural and sincere emotion of the occasion.
Her attention to detail, artistic eye, organizational skills, and radiant personality make her the best in the business. Hiring her will be the icing on your wedding-planning cake :)

y picky when it came to our pictures (as are most people) and Zachera listened to all of our concerns and delivered 1000%.
She is the perfect mix of professional and fun. She kept our photo timeline moving and got every shot we wanted and hundreds more. The wedding party and our family had nothing but wonderful things to say about working with Zachera. We had a preview of our photos in 2 days and a full album in 3 weeks... what?? I look at them once a day because I still can't believe how beautiful they are.
To sum it up: Zachera is an amazing communicator. She's so enjoyable to work with on the day. And she delivers exactly what you want and then some. Can't wait to get pregnant and have Zachera photograph that too!
Zachera and her photos are truly dreamy.

endous talent; (2) her ability to capture the perfect candid photos is uncanny; (3) her personality allows her to handle chaos (my gaggle of unruly nephews) and sensitive family situations (feuding family members) with ease; (4) she actively LISTENS and makes your vision HER vision; (5) she genuinely loves what she does and her energy is contagious; and (6) she delivers a huge album of gorgeous photos in record time.
I am not the mushy type -- but man, her photos give me all the feels!

n! It felt like she was part of the wedding party, and all of our friends just loved her. I cannot recommend her enough, she is incredible. Her ability to takes shots that aren't even posed, and organize people in a very quick amount of time is crucial at a wedding and she was amazing at that. We were able to get so many cool shots because of her ability to multi-task. I would recommend her 1,000 times over! She was the best part of our wedding, and because of her our memories will always last!
