Zaida was truly one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. She is incredibly personal, warm, and so friendly, it felt like was having a friend by our side the entire time and made the process of being photographed feel natural and fun. Even with a brutal DC heat wave during our engagement shoot, she stayed calm, flexible, and seamlessly adjusted our location to an indoor space. She is beyond professional and so organized, with an amazing eye for detail. Zaida captured the most beautiful candid moments that genuinely reflect who we are and how the day felt. We are so grateful for her and will treasure our photos forever, booking Zaida is something we cannot recommend highly enough.

Zaida is a consummate professional and an artist. The samples on her website are a very good representation of the quality provided. What you won’t know from the website is that she was also a real pleasure to have around! She’s friendly, has an easy laugh, and makes others comfortable. She’s flexible and creative when things don’t go as planned on the wedding day. She took time and care to make sure that she got a list of the shots we wanted to capture and understood who was important to us. For instance, I shared that I really wanted to get pictures with my niece and she captured some absolutely adorable shots that I will treasure forever! My husband has always been shy about taking photos, and I was very nervous about getting nice shots. Zaida gave the perfect amount of guidance – suggesting framing and approximate poses, but not overdirecting and allowing us to be comfortable with her. It worked really well. We have never had such lovely photos together! She was also totally game to do an unusual location for our engagement shoot, the air and space museum. She mentioned she loves photographing couples in locations that are special to them. You can tell that she really loves love, learning about couples and their stories, and being part of weddings. On the wedding day, the groom’s suit went missing so we had to scramble to get all the family shots we wanted – she was super flexible and unbothered, and made sure to make use of the extra time for great shots of the brides family and venue. It was a pleasure to have Zaida be part of our wedding day. We received the photos back in less than two months and will treasure them forever.

hat exceeded our dream expectations. She gave me photos of my wife that I’ll cherish forever, and she even made me look good! I’m camera shy, but Zaida’s demeanor and process are so natural and fun that I often forgot that I was in a photoshoot. If you book her, you’ll be rewarded with a truly joyous experience, and a dreamy gallery of photos too. Her aesthetic simultaneously appears modern and timeless, offering something that 50 years from now will still look good. Additionally, her photos accentuate the nature around, making the subjects appear to belong in the space, rather than seeming inserted. I can’t recommend her enough! P.S. For bigger shoots, her co-photographer is her husband, who is the perfect pairing to Zaida. If you’re able to work with both, that’s even better because the two are so fun and cute together that any awkwardness I felt kissing my wife in front of them was quickly dissipated. Even just talking with them is a great time!

Zaida’s infectious energy and positivity instantly calmed our nerves and made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. She was there to answer any and all questions, and was so supportive each step of the planning.
