The team at Zambistro nailed it. Everything from our first planning meetings to the tasting, to the day of execution was all spot on. Delicious food and outstanding service, I'm not sure what else you could ask for. They had side plates of appetizers ready for us, so that we didn't miss out while we were mingling - this was great! They also went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, even drinks! Summer was the lead server and you can tell she is committed to providing excellent service.
Zambistro did an amazing job at our wedding! We came in twice prior to the wedding to try the food as well as try the cocktails we wanted to have at the wedding. Mike and Kara are both very sweet and great to work with! They were always very quick to respond to my emails as well as answer all my questions. The food was phenomenal and we had SO many guests compliment us on how great the food is! Their Mac and cheese is to die for! The servers and bar tenders were also so great. I had a conversation a few times with the bartenders and they were always so sweet. The servers made sure we had everything we wanted to, and even brought us our food to our table so we didn’t have to serve ourselves. Would 100% recommend them for your wedding!!!

Awful rude exploitive and unprofessional.
Was a guest food was dry, and barely could even serve a full plate. Bartenders were rude as well. Making negative comments to bride, groom and their guests.
tldr: Rude & disrespectful employees/owners.
Zambistros gave their employee our phone # & address putting our life, home, extending friends & family in danger only after being given a lost car key from our vender.
The behavior from Zambistros, the employee, his "mother" & Kara is unacceptable. I don't recommend Zambistros catering service. Food was aweful, only provide what they feel you deserve not what you pay for.
Had no choice to go with Zambistro since Hill top was booked.
Our taste testing & menu planning with Mike went ok. This was about Jun 22 to Jan 23, making arrangements, our wedding was in Jun 23. a yr later. We made our initial selections Jan 23. Fast forward to 2weeks before the wedding. We tried multiple times to contact them through email, even asked the venue owner if they contact them or us with final count. There was no response. when I was in the middle of doctors visits to start family planning she finally started to call us, then while driving home, I answered & told her I’lil call her once I was safely home. Even after asking her to please wait since we have been trying to get ahold of her just time wasn’t the best on her end, to which she tried to gaslight us saying she was trying to contact us when we only got her contact # via mike after several attempts to get answers about finalizing. Kara also claimed to say nothing was ready because she thought our wedding was canceled from that point, It was obvious that she had dropped the ball began to deflect & gaslight us which then a wave of verbal/emotional abuse ensues days after including am after wedding till even now claiming, "no affiliation" w/ employee & their mom meanwhile Kara was on of the biggest problems. We were told it was too late to order the featured drinks we already finalized Jan for Jun. We had a count of 87 in jan that went down to 63, food still ran out very quickly even with -20 people for final count. 6k plus for not even a normal plate. Kara was rude, threaten us mafia shakedown style after we requested to pay early, which doesn’t make any sense. “You better bring the money tonight & cash because I want to make sure it even goes through.” We were supposed to make our final payment 7 days before the wedding we wanted to pay weeks before… Even a simple request to get ahold of Mike to which we were randomly passed on to his wife Kara last minute whom the vendor states they never talked to. Before. Karas anger/harassment, Forced us change our menu or canceling our wedding dinner. They gave us only bare minimum.
She seems prejudices since I had a latino maiden name. Several times she made rude comments on how there was no way I could afford it etc when i was trying to pay early, very weird & crazy. I put 2k down payment, booked early so why the accusation, now? Since when speaking to me she was erratic, condescending but her tone was a lot different w/ my husband. We had to rec. all interactions to protect ourselves. Kara is extremely unhinged. On the day of the wedding, there was not enough food. On top of all that bartender, a Zambistro employee, left their keys at the venue. Our coordinator wasn’t sure if it belonged to one of our guests, we took a picture sent text, left it in lost & found. The keys were returned as soon as the venue owner picked them up since it was out of our possession. I turned phone on, & received a sea of treat text, & voice messages. According employee & their mother they not only knew our phone# but our addresses via Zambistros.
We ended up booking them very early, and I’m glad we did!! Kin Loch has a partnership with them- that if you book them as your caterer you will get money off. This was not a mistake. We attended their tasting in December, picked our menus and ended up with a buffet of a lot of great options. So many people talked about their mac and cheese the next day.. it’s a must. They also provided all the linens which was so helpful!
Oh, and also they left us a generous gift card and a congratulatory card in our card box which such a thoughtful surprise!
We had Zambistro cater our wedding and they were amazing!!! Mike is so great to work with and did everything he could to make sure we had what we wanted for our menu. Day of his catering staff were on top of it all! They had everything set up before I even got there and they checked in with my husband and I to make sure we were taken care of. Great experience!
Zambistro went above and beyond, and exceeded every expectation we had for our wedding!!
People still come up to us and tell us how delicious the food was and how polite and friendly the servers were.
The chef the day of was incredibly accommodating even though our ceremony ran 20 minutes late and all of the food was still perfect and just scrumptious.

Fabulous food, customized menu, great to work with, and best: very affordable! Mike and his team did a fantastic job catering our wedding and the food was amazing. We were a little nervous because we requested specific foods (German, American, Middle Eastern, and a sorbet dessert in July), but Mike exceed our expectations. The whole family, even the chefs amongst them, were absolutely wooed. The set up was simple but perfect and working with the Zambistro team was a breeze!
Zambistro did a fantastic job catering our wedding. We had about 50 guests, and we chose a buffet. Michael helped us select our menu and provided us with a lovely tasting. If you like mac and cheese, I particularly recommend the smoked gouda mac and cheese--it is to die for! And their ranch dressing is out of this world good. We also asked Zambistro to select local beers and wines for the wedding, which they were happy to do; they charged us on a consumption basis. They provided our linens and tableware as well as a selection of desserts afterwards. Although the happy couple ate very little (and no dessert) on account of being excited and busy, numerous guests--and even our photographer--commented on how good the food was. We also received many compliments on the alcohol selection. Zambistro's even gave us a gift card to come back to their restaurant! Very classy all around, I highly recommend them.
We were given the names of a couple catering companies who worked with Spring Lake and checked out all three. We loved meeting with Michael and were so happy we went with him.
He is such a laid back person and was able to help us figure out what vegetables he recommended to go with what meats, and helped us tweak different dishes to fit what we liked. We ended up doing one beef, one chicken and one fish dish, and was glad we did. It let everyone try as much or little of the different items. We went with salmon for people who don't really eat meat, and they said they ended up trying the meat anyway and it was delicious!
The food was amazing, and Michael and his staff worked well with the winery to make everything run smoothly. He was even there working that night which, I don't know if it's common with caterers or not, but was a great touch. It was nice to see him there.
We want to go to his restaurant to check out the food again!
So I had my rehearsal dinner catered by Mike at Zambistro's. The food was INCREDIBLE and cost me only $10 a plate. I'm talking, gourmet cooking that was to DIE for. His waitstaff did a very nice job preparing everything so I had no work at all. We also had a special dietary need (gluetin free) and he made sure everything was clearly marked as gluetin free or not. This made it very easy for my sister-in-law to find something to eat without having to worry about cross contamination. Mike was wonderful to work with and personally helped me design the menu exactly how I wanted it. I highly recommend him for ANY event.
