I spent years in the theatre, which inspired my dad, Bill, to pick up a camera and begin producing images of the shows I was in. As I got older I also began modeling and was able to get experience on the other side of the camera. Over the past couple of years we have teamed up and really jumped into the photography world together and started Zelina Photography.
We have been so fortunate to get to work together and bond and we love creating precious moments for our clients.

We hired Michelle and Bill for our elopement. She was the first photographer that I found that I had that *OHHHHHH!! THIS ONE* thought. I showed my other half and he said lets contact them and see what package they would have for us. We knew what we wanted. I wrote a long list of questions and when we had a meeting with Michelle she was able to answer all my questions, some times even two or three at once because she is detailed and covers everything! We decided to give them the yes! This was the best decision we made for this process. She kept good communication with us, scheduled a "we are a week out lets catch up and answer questions" with us. She literally asked me about certain things that I had not even thought about! Again, she is REALLY detailed.
Day of the elopement and nothing was going to plan. My makeup artist was over an hour late which put me super late getting to our location. But Michelle and Bill worked with us and were super awesome through the whole thing! Michelle helped me get my dress on, helped me hike down to the overlook, made sure my hair and makeup were on point. Michelle held on to my makeup touch up bag in case I needed it and truly showed she isn't JUST the photographer. She is a photographer, coordinator and a wedding planner/assistant all in one! I have worked with other photographers at weddings back when I was studying photography and none of the ones I worked with were like Michelle! They were strictly business! Michelle is completely opposite! She is warm, inviting, kind and a major help! Especially when it came to helping my husband and I stay calm through the process when things were not working to the plan.
While my focus was mostly with Michelle, Bill was there doing videography and it was such a delight working with him as well! I can say the same about Bill as I did about Michelle. Warm, inviting, kind and very focused to getting amazing footage! I cant wait to see the footage he got of our special day and what he does with it! My husband says "Bill was top notch and made me feel at ease. He was very warm and welcoming throughout the whole process. These two are stellar and would be a great pick for anyone planning an elopement or wedding!" After our ceremony we hiked down to the waterfall to take the rest of our photos and video, they could have easily packed up and hiked out without us as their job was done. But they took their time and hiked out with us instead. Michelle even helped me get out of my wedding dress in the middle of the hiking trail to make my hike back up easier on me. This truly was more than just a business transaction.
10/10 We recommend you choose Michelle and Bill for your big day! We also will be booking them again when we do our friends and family celebration because I would not trust our day of celebration with ANYONE else at this point! We even want to book with them again in the future to do family photos!

I hired Zelina Photography for my wedding. It was a very small event at night in a chapel. They were comfortable and easy to interact with (they were great with the small children present too!). They captured some excellent portrait shots. I really liked the addition of some black and white photos as well. Very affordable too! Not every photo had the quality I was looking for, but overall I am very satisfied and would recommend.

Zelina Photography was exactly what we were looking for when it came to our wedding photos. Affordable and with professional quality, they captured stunning photos, created a lovely day-of montage, and beautifully recorded our three main dances. Communication with them was quick, clear, and productive. They were flexible and considered what we wanted and what the venue could accommodate. I was even given rescue bobby pins for a mini hair emergency prior to the ceremony! We also paid for an extra hour so we could get outside photos near our location, and they were wonderful at setting up those shots. Our photos and videos came back in a timely manner as well. The father-daughter pair were friendly and all-around lovely people. I would work with them again in a heartbeat.

They made my wedding day so perfect, I cannot recommend this duo enough! Michelle made sure everything was perfect for me the whole day… seriously going above and beyond! She helped me plan the whole day, got my dress to go on right, do my veil to where it was perfect, get my dream wedding photos, I could go on and on about how great she was all day! I am so glad I didn’t get a day of planner because they made everything happen exactly as I wanted and needed it! They are super professional, helpful, and had an amazing energy that is just what you need on your wedding day! Thank y’all so much for making our wedding day incredible! 💖

I looked over Zelina Photography’s portfolio and really like the style/composition of their photos so I hired them to do my niece’s engagement photos first to see if my niece would like them to do her wedding photos as well. My wedding gift for the newlyweds to be is their engagement & wedding photography & I want to make sure I get it right! Michelle was quite easy to talk to & work with. She’s very knowledgeable, professional, & punctual. She recommended Cumberland Mountain State Park for the engagement photos in June and it really was gorgeous! My niece & her husband to be are ecstatic with their engaged photos & have used them for their wedding announcements. We have already hired the Zelina team for upcoming the wedding in January. For the engagement photos we only had Michelle. For the wedding though, we would like more coverage so hired Michelle and Bill.
As my niece & her husband are very private people & did not want me to post their engagement photos, they gave me this sample photo Michelle took from their location shoot.

We hired Zelina Photography for our small wedding on 9/30/23 in the Smoky Mountains. I am so glad we did and I can't say enough good things about Michelle (and her dad). As a 1st time bride and someone who takes terrible pictures I was so nervous but Michelle made everything so easy. She made us feel so comfortable and it was clear she knew what she was doing. In less than 2 weeks she has already given us a sneak peak of our photos and they are gorgeous! Her pricing was well below other photographers in the area and was an absolute steal for the quality and value of her work.
A couple of things that really stood out and helped to make our day special:
We were booked for a 4hr session in GSMNP during the afternoon and 1 hour twilight session at our cabin. Due to locations and traffic she ended up spending the whole day with us. I never once sensed that she was rushed or didn't want to be there, even though that was not the plan.
She literally entertained every photo we wanted. I mean like 4 locations in the park, with the kids, w/o kids, with our dogs, 50 different combinations of family shots, eating ice cream and even better pics with my car than I was expecting.
I (the bride) was running late to the church and I was already unsure of what my entrance would look like going into this old historic church which was still open to the public. To my surprise when I got there Michelle was ready to go and had already coordinated everything. Everyone inside the church knew what to do and where to go, making that moment I walked in so special and everything I dreamed of!
One of the most memorable moments from the day was the photo shoot by the cabin where we first got engaged. Michelle made us feel so comfortable we were spinning, dancing and laughing. We had such a good time being silly and taking pics with us and our 2 kids. Honestly, probably one of the most enjoyable and relaxing moments of the whole day.
She also took some video on her phone throughout the day which she set to our song and sent to us that night!
She went above and beyond my expectations of a wedding photographer. I highly recommend Zelina photography!!

So far our experience with Zelina Photography has been phenomenal. Michelle and her father were exetremely sweet, patient, and very knowledgeable. Michelle helped with so much more than the photography from helping with the corset to making sure I was as cool as possible. We were so happily surprised when we got a gorgeous and heartfelt 1 minute preview video the night of our wedding (we wrapped up around 5 p.m.) I would like to post here, but I only see a place for photos. We are so ready to see the photos of our wonderful day and will post updates as we get them! 💜
