We had chosen a modest venue for our wedding reception because it was special to us, and so we resigned ourselves to trading beauty for nostalgia. But with ZenGenius, that wasn't necessary. They transformed the venue into a magical place. Not only did they create a room that was beautiful—they created an experience. Our guests were stunned and delighted, and we could feel how the space that ZenGenius created for the reception energized the joy and love in the room. Another reason they earned their genius: our wedding day was cold, windy and rainy. Four hours before the ceremony, which we'd planned outdoors, we reluctantly decided to move inside to a barn—not a wedding venue barn; just a barn that was on the site, stuffed with hay bales and a wagon. We had no expectations that Zen Genius would have time, much less the resources, to respond at the last minute. But when we rounded the corner of the barn doors with our officiant and all of our wedding guests in tow, we were stunned. The wagon had been transformed into an elegant alter, the hay bales offered as seating, and the barn was adorned with trimming and details that were just beautiful—and beautiful in way that perfectly fit my wife and me. But there is another reason I give ZenGenius my highest recommendation. When we worked with them, we felt completely at home in their company. Immediately, it was as if we were planning our wedding with old friends. When you work with ZenGenius, you get real people. And I think that, because they were so genuine and authentic, they were able to see us authentically, and so provide a venue that was a perfect fit for the two of us. Our time spent with them in planning is among the rich and joyful memories of our wedding.

The team at ZenGenius gave us the wedding reception of our dreams. My husband and I had a few ideas we were passionate about for the reception and the team at ZG helped us refine and expand them. The result was a beautiful reflection of our personalities and the church hall we rented for the reception was unrecognizable. Truly. ZenGenuis’s experience doing large events is invaluable. We trusted their guidance and encouragement during the entire process. They absolutely ran the show so we didn’t have to. Team ZG installed decor that can only be described as art, put out little fires as they came up (including MCing the reception when the DJ backed out last minute), all the flower arranging (including exquisite bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres and centerpieces), gave us guidance on catering and managed the caterer, designed and executed seating layout, managed drop off and pick up of rented items, and cleaned up. Their value isn’t just in what they know or what they’re capable of doing. Knowing we were in such competent and capable hands, we had no worries the day of and were able to freely enjoy ourselves and our guests, just like we dreamed. We wouldn’t change a thing.
