We ordered a small vegan lemon cutting cake with vanilla buttercream for our wedding and were extremely impressed with the taste and texture. It was honestly the best vegan cake I ...
have ever had. The frosting was not overly sweet and hard like a lot of vegan frosting tends to be. It was buttery and silky and the lemon cake was very moist and succulent. They also nailed the design we were looking for. Later in the night we walked in on a groomsmen eating a piece of the cake, who also said “this is the best cake I’ve ever had, where is this from?” He was shocked to learn that it was vegan. We froze the rest of the cake for tradition but every day I am tempted to thaw it because it was so good. On top of this, the communication with Zest was very quick and they coordinated delivery of the cake to our venue which was a huge help. 10/10 recommend!
Zest did an amazing job on our wedding cake. The process for the at home tasting was so fun, they were responsive to work with, and nailed to the design we wanted. They were also a...
ble to make separate cupcakes to accommodate a few of our guests with dietary restrictions. Everyone loved the cake!
Our wedding cake looked beautiful! They did a great job executing such a minimalist design! Zest was so responsive and really easy to work with!
Congratulations! Your search for your wedding cake/dessert vendor has come to an end.
The Zest team is incredible to work with. We were navigating some dietary restrictions (Glut...
en Free, Dairy Free, etc.), and Gabriella was incredibly patient answering all of our questions. Their communication was top notch. The on-the-go tasting still involved a conversation with Gabriella at their shop, and it was informative without feeling pressured or sales-pitchy. It was a fun experience that allowed me and my husband to have a fun little picnic and taste all the yummy items.
The options available for cakes and desserts is truly incredible. There's something for every taste preference.
Some highlights: The gluten free chocolate cake was incredible. The regular chocolate was also ROCKIN' with the chocolate mousse. The red velvet was moist and the cream cheese filling had a great zing to it. The chocolate sea salt caramel tarts were a major crowd pleaser (one guest said they could die happy because they had eaten it, and it was the best thing they've ever tasted). The s'mores cookies are so unique, and the mini whoopie pies are such a fun whimsical treat. The chocolate covered strawberries also received five star reviews across the board.
Beyond taste, the team brought our vision for the cake to life. They nailed the Lambeth design from our inspo pics!
Delivery was seamless on our end as well.
Our biggest regret of the wedding is only getting a few bites of cake! We will be coming back for anniversaries to come to get some treats.
From the bottom of our hearts (and stomachs) we recommend Zest!
We had so much fun working with Zest on a unique cake design for a wedding. I can’t recommend them enough. We did a carrot cake and it was as delicious as it was dreamy.
Gabriella and the rest of the team at Zest Bakery did an excellent job with our wedding cake and desserts! From our wedding cake, to the sheet cake, to whoopie pies, cookies, brow...
nies, and other desserts, they ensured that the selection of sweets at our wedding was not only visually appealing, but exquisitely flavorful, which left all our guests satisfied. I’d be remiss not to mention how carefully they decorated the scale patterns on our cake, and how closely they matched the artistic vision we had for it. Cannot recommend this bakery enough for weddings or any other large events. If ordering a cake, be sure to check out their champagne cake! We got this with strawberry mousse and chocolate cake with mascarpone filling and vanilla buttercream, and would highly recommend those to any prospective wedding customers.
For our wedding in July 2024 at the Inn at Mystic, neither my husband nor I were set on getting a cake. My mom insisted and we set out to search for a bakery. Zest Fresh Pastry cam...
e highly recommended by our venue and when we spoke with them, they said they bring a cake there pretty much every weekend (sometimes multiple times a weekend!) during wedding season. I wanted a simple two layer cake that we could have our florist add some flowers to. We also did a sheet cake as backup for the guests! Our guests raved about the cake and I'm so happy we ended up getting one. Would definitely recommend!

Zest bakery and the folks that run it did a wonderful job on our Wedding Cake, this summer. We worked with Zest and Gourmet Galley together to cater our big day, and Gabriella and ...
team did a beautiful job. They created a stunning Cake that pulled perfectly and professionally from the references we chose for our “look”, and they even went so far as to work with a close friend of ours who was hand-carving a unique wedding topper, to make sure they could coordinate the cake design and size. We really appreciate the extra effort and care put into everything and the ease of communication. The Lavender and Lemon flavors we chose were delicious! We highly recommend them for whatever service you might be considering! :)

of compliments on how good the cake tasted. We chose banana cake with mascarpone filling and chocolate cake with peanut butter filling, and both were excellent. The cake was very fresh and moist, and the frosting was not too sweet. Zest was easy to deal with and delivered the cake to the venue without a hitch. Thank you!!

ke, but Gabriella not only told me they could do it, her and her team at Zest made the flavors all melt deliciously together! She also helped me find the perfect mix of cupcake flavors for our guests. And, since I’m a tad indecisive, Gabriella also had the perfect suggestion for the design of our cake. Totally in love with everything that they did, that day and six months later. Can’t wait to go visit and get some new yummy treats we haven’t tried yet! Highly recommend Gabriella and her team for your big day!

didn’t even look at any other bakeries since we knew Zest was who we wanted! We had a non-traditional small cake with a cheesecake on bottom and a carrot cake on top. Gabriella made it look amazing! Not to mention how fantastic all the other desserts she provided were as well! Especially the cake pops that we used as place card holders. People are still talking about them! If you are looking for visually stunning desserts that taste as good as they look, you have found the right place at Zest!
