he captured on our wedding day. Our experience with Zev started with our engagement shoot at the stunning Crane Estate. He had such a natural ability to make us feel comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera, resulting in beautiful, candid shots that truly reflect who we are as a couple. Zev’s attention to detail and artistic eye were evident from the very start, and it set the tone for our entire wedding experience with him. On our wedding day, Zev was an absolute pro. The ceremony and reception were held at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, Massachusetts, and Zev captured every moment beautifully. Zev took the time to get to know Harry and I prior to our wedding (and our personalities, our priorities, and our vision for our wedding day) so that he could meet (and ultimately exceed) our expectations for the day. He captured the big moments of our wedding breathtakingly, but we were even more moved by the more intimate moments he captured, between our guests, on the dance floor, etc. One of the highlights of our wedding photos are the stunning outdoor shots at the Beverly Rose Garden, a gorgeous park Zev suggested for our portraits and wedding party photos. The natural light, combined with Zev’s thoughtful direction, created some of our favorite images from the entire day. Prior to Zev’s suggestion I thought I had to choose between an indoor wedding and outdoor photos, and thanks to him, we were able to have both. After our portraits at the Rose Garden, he orchestrated us meeting up with our family for quick family portraits before the ceremony so we were able to enjoy all of our cocktail hour with our guests. He did all of this with an incredible attitude and unending energy - he was the MVP of the day! Our day wasn’t without its challenges — heavy rain forced a change in plans right before our first look. But Zev handled everything with grace and professionalism. He kept everyone calm, and even when we had to make last-minute adjustments, he found beautiful side streets in Salem for unforgettable first look photos that are arguably better than what we had originally planned. His positive energy and ability to adapt to unexpected situations kept the mood light and fun, and we couldn’t be more grateful. When the night shifted to dancing, Zev was right there in the thick of it, capturing the energy, joy, and wild fun of our guests. The dance floor photos are some of our favorites - filled with laughter, movement, pirouettes (!) and joy. Zev has this incredible ability to capture the raw energy of a moment — and you can see it in every one of those wild, wonderful dance floor photos. Lastly, after the wedding, the process for creating our wedding album was truly seamless. After we selected our favorite photos, he spent hours with us over zoom reviewing and editing our photo album until it was perfect. He was even able to get our wedding invite included in a panel in the front of the album, it’s perfect. If you’re looking for a photographer who is talented, adaptable, and able to capture both the big moments and the smallest details with creativity and passion, Zev Fisher is your person. avorite parts (although there are so many to choose from!) is how Zev captures parts of your wedding day that you won't necessarily see or notice on that day - the table setting details, photos of guests, reactions from family members. Unfortunately our original schedule had time built in to take pictures in the Boston Gardens but it rained on the day-of. Zev was super flexible though and rearranged the schedule to take pictures inside, and him being familiar with the venue for this was a huge plus. He also monitored the weather to make sure we still got some awesome city pictures in later in the night when the rain slowed! The 2nd photographer he brought, Masao, was also incredibly talented and easy to work with! We loved all of the photos we got and the online portal system he puts all the pictures on is super easy to use and download from!

Like many photographers, Zev is professional, skilled, and responsive. What sets him apart from others, though, is his artistic and creative eye and his genuine desire to memorialize the day in an inspired and imaginative way. He can spot “the picture” and creates beautiful and dramatic backdrops. It rained the day of my daughter’s wedding and Zev made lemonade out of lemons. Some of my favorite pictures are pictures of the bride and groom and the bridal party holding colorful umbrellas. On the day of the wedding, Zev was patient (even when the grandmother of the bride was an hour late!), laid back and fun, and looking at the pictures, he managed to be everywhere all the time. Not only did he capture all of the special moments of the wedding but he was also able to capture all of the emotion and fun of the day. It was like being at the wedding all over again and yes, I cried at the same parts! I cannot rave enough about Zev’s talents and his exceptional personal qualities.

He also didn’t seem just like “another vendor” - he was personable, truly seemed to care, had a calming presence and acted as an advocate for us - exactly the type of person you want with you on your wedding day. Originally we had our wedding scheduled for 2021 but re-scheduled due to the continued onslaught of COVID to 2022. Luckily, Zev was able to accommodate the new date. We also used Zev for our engagement photo shoot where we shot mostly around Boston Common but other places in Boston as well. He did a great job to keep us relaxed and at ease. My wife is camera shy, so we did our best to keep her relaxed, and Zev did a great job. We ended up using some of the photos for our save the date invite. Zev was great in keeping continued communication with us. As we got closer to the date, we worked through a shared document on the timeline as well as what photos were a "must have". On the wedding day, he and 1 other colleague did a great job throughout the day capturing all of our moments. Our wedding went longer than expected, but Zev was nice enough to stay longer to capture all of the photos that we requested. Zev was great throughout the entire wedding process. When our photos were ready, we discussed our wedding album and he made the adjustments in real time and the albums came out impeccable. Our parents are very impressed. We highly recommend him to photograph your special day (whether it's a wedding, engagement, baby, etc.). We look forward to working with him again when we need a photographer.
