"after hours" delivery fees to your vendors because you will only have the space on the day of your event, unless you book for the entire weekend. The other consideration is that there is no space for getting ready at the venue, so make sure to have a hotel or loved one's home available for staging, etc. Our January wedding was delightful - though it was a bit chilly (~50*), having the ceremony inside and the reception inside/outside was great.

A problem that I was worried about is their isn't air conditioning. We got married July 18th and started our reception out there around 7:00, and we honestly didn't have a problem with it. We had a portable air conditioning unit for the club house. We set up cocktail tables outside, which was where most people hung out and ate.The clubhouse sits on the east side of a hill, so it gets shaded relatively quick and catches a good breeze.

est place that they had been. Thankfully the February weather was also perfect as it would be hot in the summer with no AC. Fireplaces are available for chilly nights. The city lottery for "winning" the venue can be tricky but if luck is with you, the clubhouse is an amazing place to get married and you will certainly not regret it. Be ready to plan, set-up, and take down everything yourself, but if you are a diy girl like me, that will not be a problem. The freedom to make it your own is a blessing.
The Zilker Clubhouse was a hidden gem - I am so happy we found it! It was very economical compared to other venues in Austin, and we were able to have the space for the entire day....
The indoor space with its rustic fireplaces provided the perfect ambiance for my Spanish themed wedding, and the open air patio provided a breathtaking view of Austin's Skyline, Ladybird Lake and the Greenbelt - a gorgeous backdrop for our reception. Our guests were blown away!
