Those who are from Michigan don’t need to be reminded of the magic that is Zingerman’s baked goods. They were able to turn my dreams into reality. From the sugar flowers to the lace piping to the monogram, everything was beyond splendid. Beyond the aesthetics, the cake itself was a knockout— almost every one of our guests had remarked that this is quite possibly the best wedding cake they’ve ever tried. We knew that going with Zingerman’s is always a good choice and we were still blown away by what they delivered. Even their fondant tasted good and that’s no small feat.

Zingerman's did an amazing job with our wedding cakes! We worked with Alyce and she was great with showing us different designs and options for cake decorations. Ultimately, we went with personal cakes decorated to match our florals for all of the guests and everyone loved them! We choose the buttermilk cake with a lemon buttercream filling and a vanilla buttercream exterior and the flavors and textures were perfect! They were so easy to work with and were very responsive! I would recommend them to anyone!

Our cake was wonderful!!! Their coconut cake with passionfruit mousse is to die for and everyone loved it!!! They did an amazing job with the design - it was designed based off of my dress with pearls and lace, and turned out so beautiful! Would definitely recommend them!

We loved our wedding cake from Zingerman's Bakehouse. The cake tasting box was filled with delicious flavors to choose from. We chose the Buttermilk Cake with Lemon Buttercream filling and it was fantastic. The guest loved it and we were extremely pleased. My cake was created perfectly, i sent a few pictures of my vision and it was exactly like the picture. If you are looking for a cake just choose them, you won't regret it.

We absolutely loved our wedding cake from Zingerman's Bakehouse! From the cake sample tasting and detailed wedding planning to enjoying our delicious wedding cake with our loved ones, we cannot say enough how much of a pleasure it was to work with Zingerman's Bakehouse! We loved being able to share our two favorites on our wedding day: buttermilk cake with raspberry & vanilla buttercream frosting, and chocolate cake with dulce de leche and salted caramel & vanilla buttercream frosting! This local vendor definitely lives up to the hype and we highly recommend working with them!

A review from a very happy groom! Designing our wedding cake with Zingerman's was like a dream sequence within Willy Wonka's confection factory. If you want a damn fine cake in multiple flavors designed to look exactly how you want it with a flair for outside-the-mold thinking, Zingerman's bakehouse is your bag of icing. The cakes looked so good in fact that my wife ate the samples anyway despite her allergies and had an upset stomach for the next days! "Worth it," she rationalized. With that, our wedding cake was sealed, signed, delivered, and ours. The greatest tragedy of our wedding day was that we could not reserve an hour to personally dive into the fondant fantasy, which looked as great as it tasted. Zingerman's was also able to design and create a gluten and dairy free cake specifically for my wife (and other guests) to avoid such a gastrointestinal fiasco. And it was every bit as beautiful and delectable as its larger, more typical compatriot cake. We also ordered individually wrapped cookies with our initials as delicious favors for our guests, and were just as happy with those as we were our cakes.

Zingermans made everything so easy for our wedding. My mother-in-law and I went in for a consultation, and instantly knew they were the bakery for us. They listened, came up with a sketch while we watched and gave our input, and sent us home with a box of samples FOR FREE. The planning sheet was easy to fill out. They do a phone meeting a few weeks out to get things finalized, so communication was excellent. Very professional, and their cakes are delicious. So many of our guests talked about how good the cakes were (we did several flavors of cupcakes, or which you can mix and match cake, filling, and frosting flavors, and Zingermans helps you decide what would taste good together). We also had a sweetheart cake which we cut during our grand entrance. The thing I am happiest about is the professionalism. They know what they’re doing, which is exactly what you need when you’re planning a wedding, hoping everything turns out great!

First and foremost, the cake was amazing! Everyone loved how we offered three different flavors to choose from. The entire process of working with them was completely stress-free. They have so much experience and talent for this it made choosing them as our vendor so easy. We and are guests were beyond happy. Thank you Zingerman’s!

We loved our experience with Zingerman’s bakehouse! They gave us free samples on our first visit and when we didn’t find anything we absolutely loved in the sample box they made us they made us new samples, which we ended up picking from. We also enjoyed how they would make any amount of sheet cake we needed, which other cake companies we talked with were not willing to do. I also asked them after we booked for another sample of the cakes we wanted to confirm our choices and share the cake with our families, and they made them on short notice for us during a busy season with no charge. The cake was very reasonably priced and was really good!

Zingerman's never disappoints and our wedding cake was no exception! The bakehouse was very helpful from start to finish. At our initial consultation they took our ideas and sketched what the cake would look like and sent us home with delicious samples. They were also more than happy to send additional samples when we asked. The Bakehouse was also very helpful in making sure that everything would go smoothly on the day of the wedding by checking in multiple times before the wedding. Needless to say, the final cake looked beautiful and tasted amazing!

Our cake was honestly the most beautiful wedding cake I have ever seen in real life. Five layers, each one a different flavor! The artist who made our cake even matched the piping details on the cake to the details on my dress! All of our guests raved about this cake inside and out! I also loved trying out samples for flavors, they made us all of the flavor combos we came up with to try.

We feel SO LUCKY to have had our wedding cake made by Zingerman's Bakehouse! It was beautiful and amazingly tasty and we're still getting compliments on it! The whole process working with this team was great - it was so much fun going in for our consultation to taste and design our cake. We ended up choosing 4 different flavors, all of which were amazing. Truly it was the best wedding cake we or our wedding guests had ever had! The cake design turned out GORGEOUS and is such a sweet memory to look back on. We can't wait to order a cake from them again in the future!

We've always loved Zingerman's, and the wedding cake they created for us was no exception. They were impressive right from the start, as our baker sat down to discuss what we had in mind and even sketched out our vision. We also appreciated that they sent us home with the cakes for tasting (who wants to let all that goodness go to waste?). Everyone on their teams was always friendly and communicative, which helped ease some of the pains of wedding planning from another state. Being able to select THREE different cake flavors was awesome, and our guests raved about all of them. Their cake may be a little more expensive than a lot of the other local vendors, but the quality and service are absolutely worth it. Can't recommend enough!!

We planned our Ann Arbor wedding from Seattle and Zingerman's Bakehouse was the best choice! Other bakeries wanted to charge us extra for planning over the phone or via email, but Zingerman's did not hesitate to work with us from the other side of the country - their customer service is top notch! We paid our deposit to reserve our date four months before our wedding and then did our tasting and consultation three weeks before our wedding when we were in town for our marriage license. The consultation was quick and easy (they drew the most beautiful design of exactly what we wanted as we were sitting there!), we left with samples, and then returned a couple days later for custom samples that we requested. The cake was delivered to our venue in Ann Arbor on time and was not only beautiful but tasted amazing as well! Highly recommend!

Absolutely wonderful!! They were very flexible with design of the cake and offered options for making sure the cake we wanted for within our budget. They were all very friendly and easy to work with! We ended up doing a few rounds of tasting to make sure we picked the flavor combinations we wanted. All of our guests loved our cake and gave us many compliments about how it looked and tasted! We couldn’t have asked for anything better!!

We loved working with the Bakehouse! The cake was delicious, our guests loved it, and it was beautifully decorated. The sugar flowers were unbelievable, and even matched some of the flowers in the wedding. They even made a small gum paste version of our cat, which was awesome :) The cake matched the image we had initially discussed with them during the consultation, and came out even better than we imagined!

This was the easiest decision that we made when it came to planning. My husband attended Michigan and Zingerman's was a place that he frequented, so it had to be on our list. In the beginning we were worried about price point but they turned out to be such a solid financial decision. It was affordable and we got so much for our money. Alyce was friendly and drew out a beautiful cake during our consultation. I later reached out about adding on a surprise grooms cake and they made a piece of art. We had three flavors of cake and everyone loved it. We also had two GF folks and Zingerman's accommodated them with no issues and made sure they were not left out of the fun. The cakes were truly a staple of our event and I would recommend this baker to everyone. I cannot wait to indulge in more cake on our first anniversary. Thank you, Zingerman's for making our day so special and amazing.

The pastry chef from our venue quit at the last minute, and so we decided to go with Zingerman's Bakehouse for our groom's cake, wedding cake, cupcakes, and pies. It ended up being the best decision we made! The staff were very friendly at all of our consultation appointments. They listened to our ideas and offered their expertise as well. They gave us lots of free samples, and even special ordered flavors that we wanted to try. Everything was delivered and presented beautifully and the desserts were completely gone by the end of the night! Overall, we were delighted with Zingerman's Bakehouse and can't wait to use them again in the future!

This was one of the easy decisions while planning our wedding. It goes without saying that the cake/cupcakes were incredible, but what really made the experience exceptional was the staff. They were so kind and attentive. They answered all of my questions with ease, and they were able to give me exactly what I wanted. Sami and Aly were the ones that I worked with the most, and they were both amazing. I highly recommend!

My husband and I are frequent Zingerman's customers- both at the deli and bakehouse. We love that they are a local business, excel in customer service, and use the highest quality ingredients. We did some other cake tastings in the Ann Arbor area, thinking that a Zingerman's wedding cake would not fit in our budget. Needless to say after cake tasting at other bakeries, we couldn't find the right fit for us and ended up at Zingerman's Bakehouse. We never looked back! Their cakes are seriously THE BEST, and we were amazed by the value. Their pricing is very competitive, and we felt the design, quality, and taste of their wedding cakes far exceeded any of the other places we tried. We felt at ease throughout the process, and they make multiple last minute adjustments for us. We received so many compliments from our guests saying it was the best wedding cake they had ever had! We also added a small gluten free cake at the last minute for some of our guests and appreciated the flexibility of Zingerman's Bakehouse to make that happen. We can't say enough good things about our experience with the Bakehouse and would highly recommend them! We are looking forward to our one year anniversary because we saved the top tier of our wedding cake and can't wait to enjoy it!

I am someone who hates wedding cake -- I actually didn't even want to order one until we tried Zingerman's. Their cakes were so different and so delicious that I instantly fell in love. Everyone we worked with at the bake shop was so easy to work with and let us order as many flavors and fillings as we wanted. The cake was amazing! We ordered more than enough and every single piece was gone by the end of the night! You cannot go wrong with a cake from Zingerman's!

Zingerman's Bakehouse made 3 table cakes for our wedding, and they were delicious and gorgeous!! We had 2 different flavors- cocoa velvet with ginger and chocolate buttercream frostings, and almond pound cake with raspberry buttercream and preserves and vanilla buttercream. Cake is my absolute favorite food, so I was thrilled to have 2 amazing options on our wedding day :).

The smile on my face when I first saw the cake in our venue was one of my most fondest memories on my wedding day. The cake was even more gorgeous then I had imagined. In fact, I barely noticed any of the other decor as the cake stole the show. They created a wonderful purple ombre cake for my wedding at the Henry Ford Museum. Wonderful vendor to work with, amazing cake flavors to select from, and they sum up the slogan of Pure Michigan perfectly. Zingerman's Bakehouse will not disappoint!!

We aren't huge cake fans so we didn't want to buy a cake. The Bakehouse worked with us to create a double stacked cheesecake that they frosted and we decorated with flowers. The pictures are gorgeous. They also provided our wedding pies (chocolate chess was hands down the favorite).

There are not enough adjectives to describe Zingerman's quality. I thought I was set on a local bakery for my wedding cake until a tasting event at our wedding venue. I immediately fell in love with the Hummingbird cake and cream cheese frosting - it was a game changer! We set up an appointment with a wedding cake coordinator. The meeting went very well and we thought we were set on flavors, but another game changer - they sent us home with a box of samples! We opted for a hummingbird layer, an almond pound cake layer with cherry filling and allover buttercream frosting. It was the most delicious cake I've had and a beautiful accompaniment to our wedding. The cake was beautiful, delivery prompt and staff knowledgeable. They even left a present for us (2 mugs) at our gift table during their delivery! I would highly recommend Zingerman's.

As an Ann Arbor native, Zingerman’s is both one my standards for food excellence and one of my favorite places to eat. I’d had Bakehouse treats many times before, but never tried their wedding cake, so I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect when I went in for our consultation. That said, the entire staff went above and beyond my expectations in every way, from our first consultation to designing our cake to the product they delivered to our wedding. My now-husband and I went in for our first consultation with a couple of ideas of what we wanted on our cake, including what we thought was a somewhat complicated symbol for the middle tier. They immediately took our ideas and drafted a perfect design on the first try, complete with a perfect rendering (and eventual execution) of the symbol. In addition to the design being perfect, the taste of all the samples, and our cake on the day itself, was absolutely delicious. I can’t say enough good things about the Zingerman’s Bakehouse wedding cake team and their confections.

This was the best vendor I had on my wedding day. The cake was better than I had imagined both in design and in flavor. SO MOIST and delicious. The staff was also very helpful and punctual on checking up with me to make sure I was still happy with my order. Also loved the surprise gift they left at our wedding! Really made me feel appreciated as a customer. :)

Our wedding cake was amazing. We had Raspberry and white chocolate filling with buttercream cake and it was a huge hit, everyone loved it.

Even though Zingerman's is a large and thriving company in Ann Arbor, they provided individualized and attentive services. They have delicious and unique cake flavors and welcomed me back on 3 different occasions to pick up samples of various buttercream/cake flavor combinations. The cake was as visually stunning as it was delicious and will certainly be memorable to our guests! We're still enjoying the cake leftovers 2 weeks later!

For our wedding, we opted for a small two-tier cake from Zingerman's to cut and serve to the bridal party and immediate family (~35 people). We got the hummingbird cake with buttercream frosting and it was insanely delicious. The decoration was exactly what we wanted - rustic white frosting decorated with a few fresh flowers. We had a monogram incorporated into a lot of our stationary for the wedding that I gave Zingerman's a picture of and they made a gumpaste version for our cake topper! Zingerman's has a lot of great touches that make their customer service awesome. You get a ton of cake samples at your tasting and the staff is always super friendly. When they delivered the cake they also left us a wedding gift - two cute branded mugs and a card! My only dissatisfaction was that the cake seemed a bit pricey to me - $200 for hardly any decoration and to serve 35 people. That's why we ended up going with Costco sheetcake for the rest of our guests and that went over surprisingly well with them!

I chose Zingerman's Bakehouse for our wedding cake and it was amazing! It is the best wedding cake I have ever tasted. The design of the cake was very intricate and required a lot of hand piping, but it turned out beautiful. I could not have been more pleased!

We loved our cake! It was absolutely delicious, absolutely gorgeous, and absolutely what we were looking for! The staff at Zingerman's can't be beat. They were unexceptionally friendly and professional even when we needed extra samples because we couldn't settle on a flavor and even when we completely redesigned the look during our final consultation. Just the best! Admittedly, you pay a bit more, but it's worth the splurge.

There is nothing I can say but WOW! My cakes where amazing!!! They tasted great too! I honestly couldn't have picked a better vendor to have done our wedding cake. In all honesty I didn't even research wedding cake vendors I knew I wanted Zimmerman's to do it! They did an amazing job on the star wars themed grooms cake! I gave the cake designer a picture of the cake I wanted...she created it to the exact specifications. It was beautiful. I chose an almond pound cake that was a bit too thick, but other than that...it was marvelous and great customer service. happy bride!!

My husband & I don’t necessarily agree on cake flavors, so I love all the options that Zingerman’s was able to provide. When we couldn’t quite pick out our final flavor choices after our initial taste testing, they provide us some cupcakes with additional flavor combinations for us to try at a later date. The decoration/design of the cake was transferred flawlessly from paper to real life and our cake turned out absolutely gorgeous. In all my interactions with Zingerman’s everyone acted very professional. They also sent along a card & a small gift to the reception site which I thought was a thoughtful touch! I really appreciate all the extra effort Zingerman’s went to in order to make my experience great!

We were not planning on having a wedding cake, until we tasted Zingerman's cake. Both my husband and I didn't really like cake, often finding it dry. However, we tasted the cake from Zingerman's and changed our minds. It was so tasty! The service was extremely friendly and they designed my cake perfectly! I highly recommend Zingerman's Bakehouse for your cake needs. (I would also check out some of their other departments!)

I would give Zingerman's 6 stars if I could! Not only were their brownie bites a big hit, but the coordinators I worked with were extremely friendly, responsive and went the extra mile to make things easier on us - we sent them the packaging for the favors and printed stickers and they packaged everything up for us, tied the ribbons and had them sent directly to our reception venue 2 days prior to the wedding!

We used Zingerman's for our three-tiered wedding cake & round Chicago-themed groom's cake. The cake tasting and design process was easy and convenient. We scheduled an appointment, laid out the design and tasted two cakes on-site. We left with a sketch of the cakes and a sample box of flavors to take home and try. Excellent and timely customer service and the best fondant I have ever tasted! They even left a wedding present for us. Although pricier than other options, we felt it was worth it. I would highly recommend.

When my fiance and I went to our tasting, we had no intention of using Zingermans for our wedding cake, we just wanted a taste. This was our favorite bakery and we'd stop by for a slice of cake way more than we should have. However, after our tasting we couldn't say no and I'm so glad that we didn't. We had so many guests tell us that they normally don't eat cake but ended up wanting more. The cake was beautiful too! Our meetings with the bakers were so easy and helpful, and they even left us a wedding present at our reception! Its a little on the pricey side, but you certainly won't be disappointed with the flavor, appearance or service!

We had a lot of different ideas we wanted to incorporate into our wedding cake and Zingerman's was able to incorporate all of them. I have to say I was amazed at how clean and not sloppy the final product looked with all of the things I wanted included with our cake! They also made us a unique and adorable groom's cake. Zingerman's was very low stress to work with and their cake flavors are DELICIOUS :) Our contact was Stephanie and she was fabulous!

Purchased 250 cupcakes in 5 flavors and a 6" cake. Best cake designer EVER--obviously loved her job, took pride in her work, and incorporated all my input. Tasted AMAZING and looked so good! My photographer seemed to like them, as he was taking pictures of them all night, haha. Loved that they came and set up my cupcake tree in my venue the day of my wedding free of charge so I didn't have to worry about a thing! Also received a wedding card and gift personally signed by my cake designer... Does it get any better than that?!

I loved working with Zingerman's. They truly captured exactly what I was hoping for. They have many different flavor combinations, so you can customize everything to your tastes. They are very helpful, and they even give you a box of wedding cake slices to take home and try out. They don't put any pressure on you to order more, or order something you don't want. I highly recommend them and will definitely be ordering more cakes and cupcakes from them in the future.

We ordered two small cakes from Zingerman's to compliment many family made desserts at our wedding. Zingerman's, though a big name in Ann Arbor was more than happy to take on our small event and listened and helped design with just as much interest then if we had some extravagant wedding cake in mind. The price for a basic cake seemed a bit high to us, but we were okay paying it knowing their reputation and they're professionalism. Thanks!

Everyone loved Zingerman's bakehouse. They did our BEAUTIFUL wedding cake and the pies for our rehearsal dinner. I only wish that our wedding had been close enough for them to cater everything. they are the best !!!

My daughter and her spouse wanted cupcakes and Zingerman's provided the perfect dessert! The cupcakes were yummy, lovely to look at and were resonable priced.

Zingerman's cake designer was so accomodating - she worked with me to design a cake based on a design created by a relative and revised her sketches many times based on our reviews. The cake was beautiful and unique and tasted absolutely delicious.
