Z's Cafe & Catering

I absolutely LOVED this caterer. The good was delicious and plenty. We did not run out of food and the server made sure that the food trays were full. He also helped gather trash. He was there to cut my cake for the guests. When it was time to close up, the leftovers were packed and the top of my cake was boxed. Many compliments from guests on the quality and taste of the good.

The food was delicious and beautiful. Carlo was great to worth with and is extremely thoughtful and professional. I would have them cater food again...but my only complaint is a big one...I contracted 2 TABC bartenders for my reception through Z's, and they over-pumped 2 of my 3 kegs to the point where my guests couldn't drink out of them. Very disappointing, slowed the lines, cut the available beer by 2/3...I didn't find out until the next day when the groom's men and some male guests were complaining. Even the keg supplier was annoyed when the groom's brother returned the kegs...nearly full of foam.

We wanted to feed a lot of people a real lunch, without going bankrupt. Z's Cafe had a lot of menu choices and could do either a buffet or plated meal. We chose a buffet and it worked out perfectly. We chose 2 main dishes, 2 sides and a salad (plus rolls) and everyone seemed very pleased. The King Ranch Chicken casserole was definitely a hit! Carlo, at Z's, also worked with us before, helping us estimate amounts of food and plan for the drinks. The fact that they also do bar service helped a lot. We didn't have to hire another vendor. We knew that pictures would take a little while and wanted guests to have appetizers. Their fruit, cheese & cracker plate worked perfectly and guests enjoyed the variety of cheeses. We also got a plate of cookies and desserts in case the reception lasted a long time and the caterer had to pack up. We didn't use the cookies at the reception so we took them with us and had them that evening (when our families got together) at a casual dinner. They were amazing! Carlo is great and his staff was very professional and friendly! We liked that Z's is really a part of their community as well!

I found Z's Cafe went I went to a local bridal show. It is family owned and the prices were just right for what I needed. They even had bartending services so I did not have to go somewhere else.

The food tasted alright but it ran out. There was supposed to be enough for 175 people. We had less than that, about 125 and the food ran out. The bridal party did not get any and we had to order pizza to feed them.
