os are a complete dream. He has such an eye to capture the magic and love from that day; we couldn't be happier with the images.

e what many photographers may have struggle with. He captured a beautiful mix of posed and candid images that embodied our relationship and the feeling we wanted for our wedding (intimate, classy, and incredibly fun!) He was very attentive, learning I had special wine brought down for the day and that I made all of the dinnerware myself, and took it upon himself to photograph those things without being asked. Hiring the perfect photographer was at the very top of our must have list, and we are delighted with our choice. We will cherish our wedding photos for the rest of our lives.

top priority for our wedding. Due to the wonderful reviews and awards that had been won, we went with Blue Bend. All seemed to be going well and smoothly until the week of the wedding. We were emailed before-hand with ‘wedding tips’ and were sent a very detailed photo list to fill out to make sure we got all the photos we wanted. We had been back and forth with our wedding day time line. Ect. Two days before the wedding, our wedding planner was checking up with Nick to make sure everything was squared away. Next thing we know, Nick says we had only paid for 7 hours of wedding coverage, not 8 hours, and had to pay the additional fee for another hour. This is TWO DAYS before the wedding. We had been back and forth for months, being told our everything was set and paid for. Then come day of the wedding, Maddie and Kevin were our photographers. Maddie showed up where the bridal party was getting ready, the location she was supposed to, but Kevin, who was supposed to be taking photos of the groom’s party getting ready, was NOWHERE TO BE FOUND. We explicitly stated where they were both supposed to go in that extensive list and timeline we filled out. Kevin had apparently gone to take photos of the ceremony site that had not even been set up yet. So, we have no photos of the groom’s party getting ready. By this point, Nick had stopped responding to my wedding planners calls and my husband’s emails. Some customer service. Jump to after the ceremony: family wedding portraits. We all start to line up where we are going to be taking the photos, waiting for some direction. We look to Maddie and she says, “What photos would you like?” Umm, WHAT?! What happened to the extensive list we had sent?! The one that they had asked for?! How, with everything going on, are the bride and groom supposed to think of the all the photos they asked for? IF you use Blue Bend, make sure you provide a copy of everything for them or else it will result in MANY MISSING FAMILY PORTRAITS. I am missing a photo with all of my cousins, who had not been together in more than ten years. I am missing a photo with my grandfather, the only grandparent well enough to attend. There is not one photo of the blending of sides. There are no pictures of the US and South African families together which breaks my heart. My parents are divorced and do not get along. In this missing list, I explicitly explained what photos I needed separately with each parent. There was no photo received of my mother, my siblings, my husband and I. This devastated my mom. Once we got the photos back (TWELVE weeks after the wedding, not the eight to ten promised) and knew this photo was missing, she tried to get in contact with Nick but he was never available. Thankfully my mom was able to turn to PHOTOSHOP. When it came time to take bride and groom portraits, thank goodness our videographer (not associated with Blue Bend Photography) was there because he started setting up the shots. Maybe at one point they were this great experience I read about online, but they were not that for my family and I. This is the first time I have written a negative review, but I am still so sad about this experience six months later and want no one else to go through this.

did our wedding day - and worked so unbelievably well with our videographer - together as a team, i swear they made magic happen. We were out of towners and had never met Nick or anyone at Blue Bend. We would highly recommend him, his professionalism, timeliness, accommodation, style, expertise, personality - you name it. Thank you SO much Nick.
