ar paste magnolias cascading down the cake. We did a split layer with traditional white and strawberry all in one slice. Guests loved this! She also did the grooms’s cake with a Notre Dame theme complete with “touchdown Jesus”, think this was a first for Barb, lol, and it was great! Chocolate cake with chocolate icing, yum! Highly recommend! Barb is professional and easy to work with. We were able to do a fake layer in each cake when our guest numbers dropped due to the pandemic. We didn’t want to affect our design so she offered the fake layer and saved us some money too.

The icing and piping was of course perfection too. The groom's cake was a crowd favorite. My husband Dalton played bass drum at The University of Alabama and so his cake had to be a bass drum, but also LIFE SIZE. Barb's Cakes went over and beyond Dalton's dreams to truly make this cake look like it was a real drum. Inside the drum was delicious chocolate cake with peanut butter filling. It basically tasted like a giant reese's cup and everyone was okay with that! Barb is a true professional who bakes and decorates the most delicious cakes. We will recommend her to absolutely anyone and everyone.
