Sweets & Meats BBQ is family owned and operated. We specialize in smoked meats, homemade sides and desserts using family recipes. Everything we serve is made from scratch daily, using quality ingredients. We are easy going and flexible to work with. We're able to customize a menu to meet your needs and always do our best to suggest items that will stay within your budget, providing multiple options. We offer buffet catering or service with our food truck or food trailer. We also launched a new catering division, All Occasions Catering, in 2023 and offer a more extensive menu with our sister company if you are looking for a variety of options. In 2023, Sweets & Meats BBQ took home 1st Place Dessert at Taste of Cincinnati and we were recognized as Ohio's Best BBQ Caterer in Cincy's Magazine. In 2022, Sweets & Meats BBQ took home the 2nd & 3rd Place Entree at Taste of Cincinnati. In 2019, Sweets & Meats BBQ won the 1st place Entree at Taste of Cincinnati and Taste of West Chester. We have also been recognized by the U.S. Small Business Administration as the Ohio Small Business of the Year in Washington, D.C. We're very proud of all of our accomplishments, but nothing excites us more than being asked to cater weddings - we take great pride in what we do and it is an honor each time we get to do it. We also offer drop off catering and catering service with our food truck, if you're seeking other options for an engagement party, bridal shower, or rehearsal dinner. Tastings are scheduled by appointment at our restaurant in Avondale near Children's Hospital. We also invite you to check us out at one of our public events. Our contractual agreement allows for price adjustments up to the date of the event, with the card on file used for the final invoice. The original contract noted a 10% discount with a $100 maximum, and an administrative error initially applied a flat $100 discount. When this error was discovered, the contract was corrected, and you were notified by phone and email before the final payment was processed. After reviewing your concerns, we honored the original $100 discount and issued a refund, asking you to drop the dispute with Amex. We regret that despite this resolution, you still felt compelled to leave a poor review. This review is twofold: we love Sweets and Meats, and we recommend their catering! We have stalked this place for years in our neighborhood because their food is so good. We were very excited that they offer catering for parties as we knew we wanted them to cater our wedding. We sought them out because we love the food, but I have been so impressed with the professionalism and care with which they run their business. The website and print materials are high quality and thorough—easy to navigate. Even though we had already had their food, we went to a tasting event just so we could enjoy an extra meal. The event allowed us to see how they run catering, to try different options, and to meet with a representative. Everyone was so professional; they even took time to advise us on some important changes to makes sure the food was fresh for our large outdoor wedding. Finally, everyone raved about the food! We recommend Sweets and Meats highly and enthusiastically. Support local businesses—especially this one. We are so happy for them; it has been exciting to watch them grow.

We had Sweets and Meats as our wedding catering team and they exceeded expectations and then some! The catering team was on top of communication from first inquiry to when they were breaking down after dinner was served. There was a mix up (on my part) about timing of dinner and they quickly were able to adapt the day before and were kind about it. THE FOOD!! We did appetizers during cocktail hour and then a full buffet for dinner. We have been getting nothing but great feedback from our guest about how amazing the food was, especially the mac & cheese and pulled chicken. The team was wonderful with helping us figure out the quantities needed and we still had some left over- which my husband and I are not mad about! And they even packaged it away for us so that we could take it home after the wedding. I think for the service and quality of food provided that it is worth every penny and would recommend Sweets and Meats for your catering needs!

Billie was great to work with! She felt like I was talking to an old friend while planning the details! The food was amazing! I had family from out of state that were blown away by how great the food was! My husband smokes briskets all the time and said it was the best he’s ever had. The team who was on site was extremely helpful and professional. They packed everything up for us at the end as well. I’ve already shared their info with others I know who are getting married! If you are looking for a great team and even better bbq, book them now! And make sure to get the brisket and the Mac and cheese!!

We loved working with the Sweets & Meats team for our wedding! They were so helpful and even created a custom hors d'oeuvres menu for us that was a big hit with our guests! I was nervous to serve BBQ because...wedding but it was absolutely the right choice! We enjoyed the food so much and we had several guests tell us it was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding! In fact, one guest even asked for the caterer's info for a wedding they're currently planning. We did have a couple of very minor glitches with them (we think they accidentally cut the top tier of our wedding cake that we wanted to save because it is MIA and we did not get the Uber containers of leftovers to take to our wedding night hotel with us) but we were SO busy during the reception that we didn't think about these little details until it was too late. Would absolutely hire them all over again. The food, the service and the experience was top notch!

Kristen and her team at Sweets and Meats were beyond accommodating for our wedding. Kristen truly went above and beyond to make things easy for us and she was the most friendly, professional person to work with. The food absolutely can’t be beat and all of our guests have continued to comment on how great everything tasted at our wedding. Kristen kept everything moving smoothly on the day of and feeding all of our guests was efficient and free of any issues. We cannot recommend Sweets and Meats more for anybody looking for a caterer for their event.

Sweets and Meats did an phenomenal job catering our wedding!! They were reasonable, on time, organized, friendly and super easy to work with! Not to mention the food was delicious!! We used Sweets & Meets BBQ for our micro-wedding reception. We had buffet style. They delivered all of the food, set it up with the food warmers and all. The food was great! We got compliments on the food from all the guest. I can't wait until they open back up for regular service. I'll definitely be patronizing. Kristin is very professional as well.

I can't say enough good things about these folks. The food is amazing, full stop, and people were raving about the BBQ all night long. Kristen and her team are thoughtful, thorough, and were a dream to work during the entire process. We were even able to pay them extra to do some simple clean up after the reception so my husband and I didn't have to worry. They were insanely cost effective as well, especially for our 170+ wedding.

All our friends and family loved the food provided by Sweets and Meats BBQ! The brisket, pulled chicken, mac n cheese, and banana bread pudding were the rave. The staff and presentation were fantastic. Kristen was extremely professional and personable. We love they are a local small business. Our party was for our 25th Wedding Anniversary with 170 guests. Obviously, we would highly recommend!

My husband first tried Sweets & Meats at a food truck rally, then we had it shortly thereafter at a wedding. It was so delish and the staff were so friendly and down to earth. When it came to planning our wedding, we used Sweets & Meats to cater our rehearsal dinner - and we couldn't have be happier! Timely, hot, tasty, and was a great option for us with a larger party to cut down on expenses. Folks raved about the food and couldn't stop asking us information about how we found them, where they can find them. It was wonderful! I couldn't have been happier with my experience with them!

Great experience from pre-booking the tasting, to follow up, execution day of our wedding and even relationship after our big day! People still rave about the food.
