I had my wedding ceremony at The Colonial Theatre in Phoenixville, PA. This theatre was opened in 1903 and is where the Steve McQueen movie The Blob was filmed. This theatre made a great unique wedding location. You have the abilty to access th...e movie screen (if you want a slide show or movie clip shown) and the theatre decor is amazing considering it is over a century old. For the wedding I decided to not decorate anything as I felt it would distract from the overall charm. The staff is very helpful and so nice. There is also a great getting ready area if you wanted to change into your dress at the theatre (which I did). The only thing to remember about this venue is that it is a movie theatre and while my pictures came out perfectly, someone with less experience taking pictures in a unique lighting situation may not photograph the wedding well. The price to rent the Colonial is very budget friendly. Overall I am SO happy I had my wedding at The Colonial Theatre! My husband and I and all our guests really enjoyed the unique quality of our ceremony. It's not often you go to the movie theatre to get married!
