I am MORE than happy with the photographs that were taken at my wedding. My photographer was Mike. He captured so many great moments, looking back makes me want to cry. I have already recommended him and Life Gallery Studios to a friend of mine who is getting married next year. The photographs were the most important thing for me, but we didn't want to break the bank. We got million dollar photos without a million dollar price tag. Scott is great to work with. He will make sure to match you with a photographer that fits your style. And he is easily accessible and answers all your questions. I can't thank Life Gallery Studio enough for the icing on the cake for the perfect day. I am so glad I found them!!
We worked with Rhonda, one of the photographers who works at Life Gallery. We got to know her during an engagement photo shoot that came with our package. They were negotiable on the packages which was a huge plus for us, as we valued an engagement shoot over some of the other things they offered. They worked with us and what we wanted! Took many, many photos throughout the day, and Rhonda's expertise proved to be a huge asset the day of. The weather didn't cooperate, so she had some great back up ideas. And the pictures she took were amazing! By far the best price we could find for a professional photographer.
Life Gallery Studio was very patient with us and helped us out a lot. They have been easy to communicate with and respond almost immediately to any emails.
Rhonda, our photographer, was the best thing that happened to us on our wedding day!! She arrived promptly and was very patient, kind, and generous in her efforts to make the day progress smoothly. She shared gentle suggestions on how to make pictures better (e.g. smooth out that hair, adjust the strap on your dress, take the cell phone out of your shirt). She interacted quite successfully with the children in the bridal party and got some good photos!! She helped all the guys figure out how to get their boutonnieres on and was flexible when things didn't go exactly according to plan.
Our pictures are beautiful and have captured all the great moments of our day.
Thank you Rhonda!
Scott the owner is great!- super nice, professional and made us comfortable. The photographer we got the day of, i spoke to only 3 days before my wedding, was an ammuture to say the least, she took pictures in a way that i probably could have done better, she took pics of my accesories on a red printed couch so you couldnt see them, didnt crop any of the pictures she took (there is a mcdonalds cup in all the photos of me putting on my dress), she took what looks like a mug shot of my 8 year old nephew when i asked her to get him in pics, she didnt adjust anyone during the photos or even make sure people were looking, she cut off Jesus' head during the altar photos, and didnt take one picture of me with my dress unbustled or any of my husband and I looking at the camera. She took every picture extremely up close at the worst angles or extremely far away that you cant see faces. The venue we used was amazing and she didnt do anything with it, she chose the worst background for all the photos, like a white wall for me putting on my dress. At one point she was gone, taking family pictures of one of the bridesmaids with her family instead of shooting me with my bridesmaids. She was awful and had a bad attitude. IF you use them, make sure you meet the photographer they give you in advance or at least talk to them, give them very very specific dos and donts and hope you dont get the same girl I got.
Mike at Life Gallery Studio did a great job capturing all of the moments at our very unique wedding. Mike got wonderful candid shots of our friends and family enjoying themselves on the dance floor and just hanging out. He also captured the moments before the ceremony as guests arrived and mingled and also of the beautiful flowers. We especially love the black and white photos! Mike was easy to work with, had great ideas and listened to our ideas as well. He really got to know both of us. Life Gallery was also affordable, which is safe to say is rare with wedding vendors. I can't wait to see our beautiful wedding album.
I wrote a well thought out review on wedding wire that covered both the negatives and the positives of hiring Life Gallery Studio for our wedding. Life Gallery Studio disputed my review, claiming that they thought it was a duplicate. I'm a bit skeptical, but will keep up my fair review and add an extra star to the value because we did get some good photos at a decent price. The manager did try to fix our bad experiences, so we added a star to the review purely for that consideration.
I remember specifically asking Scott when we met if the photographers went to scout out photo locations at the venue before the day of the wedding and the answer was yes, of course. I asked Rhonda (our photographer) during our conversation on the phone if she was planning on checking out the Great Room and the surrounding area the day before and she said that she would google it. I let her know that I myself have googled previous weddings at that location and not too much is out there on the internet, so I was quite displeased that she would not be going beforehand. I also let her know that the area could be very confusing and that it would be best to at least look at the online map of the mill so she doesn't get lost. She was supposed to get there half an hour before our first look to scout out locations, but she got lost. As I was on my way to the Great Room the day of our wedding, Rhonda called me, panicked, because she was lost and no one could give her good directions. I really did not appreciate a panicked phone call 20 minutes before doing our first look - I did advise her to look at a map beforehand.
She called my husband a "ding-dong." Neither my husband nor myself were amused that a hired professional called a client names. It was not appropriate.
Despite this, we figured that as long as the photos turned out well, all would be fine. Unfortunately, we were very displeased with the photos. People have objects sticking out of their heads in group photos and it was difficult to find a photo where everyone looked decent at least. One of the most frustrating aspects of the photographs (especially in our portraits and ceremony pictures) is that in almost all of her photos, she has a slight upward angle which gives most people a double chin, a view up their nostrils, or is very unflattering to their figures. I'm not really sure why she choose this angle as her primary angle, as it tends to be universally unflattering.
We did get some good photos that we are happy with, but so many are, quite frankly, amateurish. I know that Life Gallery Studio has fantastic photographers (based on reviews about other photographers and other wedding photos), but Rhonda was not a good fit for us. Scott was great and offered us a free portrait session to make up for our poor experience. If we do take them up on their offer, I'll review Life Gallery Studio again, hopefully with a positive review because I know that they do have talented photographers.
I would not recommend them since they disputed an honest and fair review and asked us to take one down. If you are considering hiring them, I would suggest meeting with your photographer before hand to make sure that your personalities are not at odds. I would also suggest asking to see a complete album that your photographer has done to make sure you will be happy with more than 15% of the total end product.
Life Gallery Studio is very easy to work with and they contract with exceptional photographers. The business model at LGS makes it very simple and straightforward to determine what you need for your wedding. I liked how everything was clearly laid out and the entire process from the photographer to the album was all housed under one roof. Scott, the owner, was always accessible and pleasant.
Rhonda was my photographer and she was fantastic! Great attitude and very competent. She managed to get some great shots even though the weather was less than cooperative. Everything from the posed family photos to the candid dance floor shots were so full of life.
I have yet to order my album, but I am so happy with the photos I see online. Rhonda and Life Gallery Studio definitely get my recommendation.
Our experience with Life Gallery Studios was one of the easiest when it came to dealing with vendors. They were very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. They are willing to work with your needs through their packages offered and suggest additional advice to tailor your photos.
They have you flip through many photos online and have you flag your faves and assign you a photographer that way which was really appreciated.
Our photographer was flexible and shot every important moment without getting in the way of the celebration. Id definitely recommend them to any bride in search of a top notch photographer for the most reasonable price!
You really can’t beat them! In summary: Best value around, easy- going, detail oriented, high quality, very professional, responsive with questions and turned around photos in 2 weeks, and knowledgeable.
IMPORTANT DECISION: Everyone had called me the most laid-back bride planning my wedding. I picked our DJ, venue, invitations, flowers, etc. without batting an eye. Nothing caused me stressed…until it came to picking a photographer. After all, after the wedding is over, the pictures are all that you have left of that special day. I was pretty stressed about it and must have spent hours upon hours wading through websites in a minor panic. I finally narrowed my photographer vendors down to 3 choices.
PROFESSIONAL and ETHICAL: Scott at Life Gallery was my first meeting. After the meeting, I got back to my office and realized that there was no need to keep my other appointments. Yes, that’s right, he offered to meet me at a place close to my office so I didn't have to take off more than a lunch break. Scott explained to me their services and it seemed as he had EVERYTHING covered. They were a small enough company that you didn't feel taken advantage of, but were still a company, so you didn't have to worry about just hiring ONE photographer to do everything (set up, logistics, editing etc.). They also don’t charge extra for the images OR for more than one photographing location, which almost every other place did. They even have a back-up photographer available every weekend (although hardly ever used).
RESPONSIVE: After I made that easy decision, everything else got even easier. They were a delight to work with. Scott is incredibly responsive (I mean within the hour would get back to me whenever I had a question). He helps you organize everything and makes your wedding planning so easy!
PICKING THE PHOTOGRAPHER: The only thing that caused me ANY concern was that they are a company that works with several photographers. This means you don’t meet the photographer beforehand or know who will be taking your picture until a couple of weeks before the wedding. However, Scott assured me that all of the photographers he works with have been with him for 5-10 years! If there were complaints from clients, there is no way that he would have these photographers for so long. They also have a really cool way of matching your style and the pictures you do like to the right photographer. So if this is a concern for you, don’t let it be. Trust me. All the photographers are WONDERFUL and they found us the perfect, and I mean perfect photographer. Heather was so laid back and fun. She seriously even helped me get ready bc my bridal party was late. She rolled with the punches bc we were really 45 min behind schedule and managed to do our photo shoot quickly and still capture good images.
GETTING YOUR PHOTOS: We got our photos back, all 720 of them in TWO WEEKS! This is amazing. I hear horror stories all the time of places taking months!
VALUE: you just can’t beat the value. Life Gallery Studio was thousands of dollars cheaper than other companies and other photographers that I had researched. Do yourself a favor, avoid the stress, and sign up with Life Gallery Studio to capture your special day!
One of our top vendors. We loved working with Life Gallery. Really good quality and artistry. Everything turned out perfect and we are so happy with all if our pictures. Mike made us feel comfortable and put us at ease on such an important day in our lives. Thanks so much guy's
My husband and I are so happy that we selected Life Gallery Studio. Scott was organized, professional, and timely with responding to emails. Rhonda was our photographer and she was absolutely wonderful. She had so many creative ideas for photos and was a pleasure to work with. She captured so many candid moments and we couldn't be happier with our pictures.
We received our pictures quickly and were impressed with how beautiful they turned out. The hard part was selecting our favorites for our album!
We would highly recommend Life Gallery Studio. They provide a great experience for a great value.
We used Life Gallery for our wedding in September, 2012. We were very pleased with the results. There were a few pictures that we wanted to frame right away.
We were happy to find a studio that would take quality pictures in our budget. They have different options to choose from, like how long the photographer stays at the wedding, or how many photo books do you want, which we found very helpful. It seems like a lot of photographers only give you a "one size fits all" service, which did not work for us.
The photographer was right on time at the church, so no worries there. She just did her thing and we did not have to worry about anything. One thing we had requested was to have as many pictures taken as possible of our guests, and she definitely accomplished that mission. She even got action shots of my nephew swinging my other nephew around in circles, which was pretty hilarious. Right place, right time!
So we definitely recommend the Life Gallery. Another great thing is that if the photographer is sick that day, they have a back-up waiting in the wings. A lot of places did not offer that service, and we all know that illness and accidents happen.
I couldn't have asked for a better photographer. We had a hectic day that our photographer helped with so much. She captured the best moments we could ask for. Our florist showed up at the time our wedding was suppose to start and she calmed me down and helped make the time go so much smoother! She even got the guys to get dressed :) I would and do recommend Life Gallery Studio to anyone. The best service by far!
Life Gallery Studio was our photographer for our wedding, and we had a great experience with them. They were probably the most affordable of our vendors. They were such a pleasure to deal with. The customer service we received during the planning stages was excellent. The process of choosing a photographer was great. And our photographer Heather was polite, fun, friendly, easy-going...But most importantly, our photos were beautiful.
Heather was so easy going and relaxed, she captured every moment I wanted her to, without the photos looking forced and cheesy. We will love looking back at these photos for years to come.
The whole staff at Life Gallery Studio was an absolute pleasure to work with.
My photographer culled about 2 months before the wedding which lead me to life gallery. They were so nice and understanding. Heather was my photographer and she was amazing. The pictures turned out beyond my expectations. They really were a blessing.
Off the bat, we appreciated the many package options offered by Life Gallery Studio as we went about choosing a wedding photographer. We also appreciated that they had a philosophy behind the art of photography (in my own words, that is: these photographers are not just there to snap some wedding photos -- they are there to document a momentous time in a person's life and that the photographs are supposed to capture and reflect the sanctity and joy of the day).
In the planning stages, Scott gave us an opportunity to view and choose some photographs to help him determine what style was preferred by the Bride and Groom -- and by so doing, that determined which photographer was assigned to us from his team.
Rhonda was our photographer -- she took our engagement photos and our wedding photos. She was absolutely professional, responsive, punctual and fun to work with -- and she took some spectacular shots that we will treasure forever!
Life Gallery Studio comes with our highest recommendation to anyone looking for a wedding photographer.
Before signing the contract with Life Gallery Studio all the way up to the week of our wedding, we had actually received wonderful service from the company representative/co-owner Scott. However, on our wedding day, we found that our photographer, Rhonda, did not exactly live up to what we had come to expect from our communication with Scott. Although Rhonda seemed to be putting forth a bit of effort in capturing all of the special moments during our ceremony, once we were settled in at our reception venue, Rhonda settled in as well, in the back corner behind our table (where she remained for about 2.5 of the 3 hours she was there). When she was actually taking photos, she had the most difficult time pronouncing my name (which is only four letters, by the way) and started calling me by a completely different name, even seconds after my husband corrected her. (This may seem trivial and although we laughed it off in the moment, to consistently call the bride by the wrong name shows how little she cared and how poorly focused her attention was.) 45 minutes before my husband and I were set to make our “grand exit,” Rhonda asked us if we wanted her to stick around. Given that she wasn’t doing much anyway and it seemed that she did not want to be there, we told her that she could leave.
We were concerned that Rhonda did not take enough photos of our guests (we only had around 40 people in attendance, so we had hoped to have a few nice photos of everyone); however, we decided to give her the benefit of the doubt and wait to see the photos instead of going directly to Scott with our complaints. Once we had a look at the photos, not only did we find that there were hardly any pictures of our guests from our reception, but that a large amount of the pictures had people’s faces cut off or hidden by objects. We took our complaints to Scott and instead of receiving an apology, which was all we were looking for, Scott had an argument in favor of Rhonda for almost every issue we brought up, and those issues he did not have an argument for, he ignored completely. He even went as far as to blame the small size and layout of our wedding for the poor quality of the photos. As for remembering our names, he called my husband by the wrong name (Jason instead of Justin) in his response email to our complaints and made no apologies when I corrected him.
As I understand from other reviews, people have had great experiences with the photographers of Life Gallery Studio, including Rhonda. Our experience may have been an outlier. However, the way in we were treated by both Rhonda and Scott shows the complete disregard they had for how we felt. If proper service is important to you, it may be best to look elsewhere.
I worked with Life Gallery Studio for my wedding, and they were wonderful. Very easy to communicate with, sometimes responding within the day. The photographer we had was so friendly and energetic, and she captured some really great moments.
I think they're a little pricey, but honestly they were the most affordable photographer we could find. They offer different packages to suit your needs (album, hours, etc.)
They were great to work with!
From the very beginning Scott was so easy and thoughtful to work with. Our photographer was great. He got all of the pictures we wanted and they looked great. On top of everything the prices were so great!
We had such a great experience with Life Gallery Studio from our 1st appointment with them until we finally got our album. It made the whole process strees free!! Everyone had been very professional and quick to respond to our endless questions (-: Most of all our photos turned out GREAT!!!
