My husband says David's humor and easy going nature put him at ease throughout the big day! We are beyond excited to see the footage from our wedding. We were thrilled to have Almond Leaf shoot pictures and video for our wedding this Spring. All of our family and friends raved about the beautiful pictures and video. I am not exaggerating when I say that we had SO many people comment on what a great job they did. You will not be disappointed at all with these guys. They truly are both artists and professionals, they excel at what they do and they are a joy to work with. Elizabeth's pictures were dreamy, romantic, classic, timeless, professional, artistic and oh so beautiful. Exactly what I was looking for and so much more. What made them a joy to work with was what a vibrant energy they brought to our wedding - they were in the moment with us, they were oohing and ahhing over the wedding day details right along with us - I could tell they were honestly happy and buzzing with excitement to be doing what they love to do. Elizabeth drafted an entire almost minute-by-minute play book for the day of the wedding and walked us through the entire thing on the day of. I was SO incredibly nervous on the actual day - you would think I never had my picture taken before in my life - but they were calm, sweet, and lighthearted and knew how to direct me through the motions to get the shot they needed. Our video that David made was amazing. It is nothing short of magical watching your day come to life on film. We were so thrilled with David's work... it was a video made by someone we hardly knew but he was able to tell a story that captured our personalities, our love for one another and the overall feeling of the wedding so well. I think the thing I loved most about David is that he is an amazing storyteller. I watched a lot of his videos before our wedding and the one thing that really sold me is that no two videos of his were alike. He does not create copy and paste videos. He really has a gift for capturing and translating the unique story of your wedding to film - the energy, the look, the emotions, the feelings, the love you have for one another - everything that made your wedding personal, beautiful and unique. My husband, who was wincing with pain at the extra cost of having a videographer finally conceded that David's video actually turned out to be his absolute favorite memento of the entire wedding and thank goodness I insisted on hiring him. We just LOVED everything about David and Elizabeth. If you are able to book them, I would recommend them whole heartedly.

We were very disappointed in the outcome of our photos. The photographers didn't seem to take direction well when it came to our special requests and also didn't offer feedback during photo sessions to ensure the photos looked nice. Out of all our photos, we got very few that we were pleased with.

Elizabeth from Almond Leaf Studios was wonderful! She got all of the shots that we wanted and did an excellent job of getting various "in the moment" shots as well. The pictures turned out amazing and she had all of them to us within only a couple weeks.

First I must say, Elizabeth and David Hasenmyer are lovely people. Picking a wedding photographer was an extremely difficult task for me and my, now, husband. Having worked in the wedding industry myself for many years, we knew the talent pool to choose from in North Carolina would be overwhelming. However, the first time I spoke with Elizabeth on the phone, I was immediately at ease. She described her work style and aesthetic in a comfortable and confident way. She showed great interest in what we felt was most important to us on our big day. Also, one of the appealing things about Almond Leaf was that their business model has a wonderful philanthropic element, which a portion of the profits from our booking went to others in need. Like I said - lovely. people. Elizabeth's flexibility in arranging our engagement session, and even rescheduling due to a major rainstorm, was something we greatly appreciated. Elizabeth’s second shooter at the wedding was her awesome husband, David. Most importantly, their presence the weekend of our wedding went beyond photography. They were respectful of space, but also were willing to take risks to get incredible shots for us. I’m pretty sure David climbed a tree at one point! Elizabeth was efficient in getting through a large number of family pictures. We had a tight timeline and they kept the mood light, as wedding day tensions can be high. The email and phone correspondence was always quick. The booking process and payment process was incredibly easy and done via their website. We received our engagement pictures in a very timely fashion. The images of the wedding they have sent us so far have been stunning and we cannot wait to see the rest! If you are looking for a talented, kind, fun and professional wedding photographer, and for beautiful images you will hold dear for the rest of your lives, we could not recommend Almond Leaf Studios more! Elizabeth made our day so easy going and wonderful. She guided us through the day. She was so involved in everything that day! The pictures are absolutely gorgeous!! I would recommend them to anyone and everyone!

I just happened to find Almond Leaf Studios online on a wedding planning website and decided to book them because I was so impressed with the example photographs on their website. My expectations were exceeded by Elizabeth and her team throughout the entire process. Elizabeth was very professional and clearly concerned about what my husband and I wanted out of our wedding photographs. She was so easy to work with and delivered a beautiful product. Elizabeth flew out to shoot my outdoor wedding in Flagstaff AZ. She was everything we were hoping for and more! Her unique perspective is invaluable. She captured so much LIFE at our wedding...fun shots of kids playing with each other, the wedding party goofing around, the Bride's father taking the Bride for a ride in a golf cart! She exceeds traditional expectations for a wedding photographer. Expect amazing photos and professional service. She's a load of fun to have around!

In looking for a photographer we were interested in finding someone who could capture the emotion of a time in our lives, Elizabeth and April did just that. They have an amazing eye and we have become huge fans of ALS!! For our engagement session Elizabeth was flexible to fly up to NYC to capture our lives in the city and on the day of they were everywhere capturing every moment of our big day at the Biltmore. I would highly recommend using them for every aspect of your wedding. We have become such raving fans that we plan on using ALS for all of our professional photography needs. Not only are they amazing photographers, but they are incredible people to and we are blessed to have met them.

I was beyond pleased with my experience with Almond Leaf! Elizabeth did such an amazing job and is the sweetest person you could have by your side for any event. When researching photographers for my wedding I kept coming back to Almond Leaf due to so many recommendations by different individuals. Style, price and a great personality were 3 factors I kept in mind while searching around. I loved the fact that 10% of all profit goes toward the non-profit, Silent Images, that Elizabeth is a part of. She really has a passion for what she does and it shows in her work. She is super sweet and really took the time to get to know my husband and I so that our wedding photos would reflect us and our love for each other. My bridal photo shoot with her was the most fun! We traveled to so many locations in the heat, and she was prepared the whole way and my photos came out great! Everyone compliments them and wants to know who did them. She even sent us a little gift a few weeks before the wedding so that my husband and I could take a night out to relax amongst all the craziness. You really can't find anyone better and I look forward to doing more with her in the future!

Our experience with Almond Leaf Studios was wonderful! Elizabeth was diligent about communicating about the details of the wedding ahead of time. So when the day of the wedding came, it was all under control, not to mention fun. She captured our personalities in fabulous ways, and it was a true joy just to have her around throughout the day. I'm so happy with the beautiful memories Elizabeth caught in all the images from all the little details to the faces of our friends and family. Everyone has been very impressed with the pictures. I worked with Elizabeth Marx for my engagement session and wedding. She was fabulous! My fiance enjoyed working with her at the e-session and said she put him at ease. By the time we go to the wedding, he said he actually enjoyed the photo shoot with the groomsmen! She has an amazing ability to put as at ease, and make the pictures look unbelievable, even when we still felt a bit uncomfortable being in front of the camera! I've never looked better than in the pictures she took. Her attention to detail makes her work stand above the rest. Plus, she was very flexible and willing to flex her package pricing to fit what I wanted. Loved her and will work with her again in the future!

My family worked with Elizabeth for a portrait session on the beach. Although it was not a wedding, we were still able to experience all that Elizabeth has to offer first hand. She is a delightful person and made the whole experience relaxed and fun - even with 7 adults and 4 energetic kids. Which was a huge improvement over previous portrait sessions we have done. She kept everything going smoothly and the end results were wonderful. We were very happy with Elizabeth and the resulting photographs and would highly recommend her to anyone.
