hey played during our ceremony and cocktail hour to set the fun+classy vibe we wanted for the wedding, and also kicked off the dancing portion of the night. They were so helpful over the phone in the months leading up to the big day and were responsive to our ideas while also offering great suggestions based on what we said we wanted. My husband and I absolutely loved having these guys be part of our wedding day - doing our first dance while they played was a huge highlight for both of us. Our guests wouldn’t stop talking about the band, either, even weeks later! 10/10, would book them again in a heartbeat. Thanks, guys!

They were very professional, accommodating and prepared to adjust their sound volume as needed. They started playing on time, took timely and well deserved breaks, and finished on time. It was a marvelous evening. Our guests were absolutely thrilled by their performance. I'd hire them again in heartbeat!

If you're unfamiliar with this era of music, the Stompers will make you a fan. They're gracious and very easy to work with--in the planning stages and on the "big day."

be mitigated, as we were lucky enough to hire the group for my boyfriend's 30th birthday party. It was an excellent choice! Our guests very much enjoyed the music. The band had a fantastic knowledge of early jazz, and they were even able to fulfill a very particular request of mine. I had hoped to jump out of a cake and sing a modified version of “Baby’s Birthday Party,” popularized by Guy Lombardo's orchestra in 1930. After I found and scanned the sheet music, the band agreed to learn the song just for me. I choreographed the number independently, meaning that the dancers did not have any rehearsals with the band before the event. Even so, the performance went off without a hitch! The band was not only cooperative and willing to help us realize the spectacular event we'd imagined, but also talented enough to learn a new song and pull off a complicated performance through just email correspondence. If you are seeking thoroughly danceable (and quite affordable) jazz and would like to work with a very cooperative and personable group, I highly recommend the Holly Street Stompers for your upcoming event.
