Based on the incredible food and superior performance of the staff, we could not have chosen a better venue than Sala One Nine to hold our wedding reception. From our very first interaction with Shahla (co-owner, manager, event planner, everything under the sun), we felt prioritized, and cared for with the utmost respect. We felt special, and as if our business was appreciated. Unlike other venues we visited, we felt like we were not just money signs, but rather we were treated like our business meant the world to them. Shahla went out of her way to meet all of our needs by patiently providing us with many delicious tastings, including a "taste-off" when we had difficulty deciding on all of our favorite food selections. Moreover, she added a number of special touches. Shahla decorated the restaurant in such a romantic and beautiful manner so that it reflected not only the season of the year, but also the theme of our wedding. Her performance was superb especially considering she was there on our big day, working tirelessly to ensure everything ran smoothly, all while in her last trimester of pregnancy. The servers, bartenders, and managers also assured us that we had made the right choice by their hospitable, friendly, and calm dispositions. Every time we went back to the restaurant for planning purposes, members of the staff, whom we had interacted with, always remembered us by name and treated us like friends. On the night of the wedding, the staff worked tremendously hard to accommodate everyone in the venue. For example, when the kitchen staff learned of two guests who were vegan and could not eat a large portion of our food selections, they immediately cooked something separate for them to accommodate their needs. Throughout the night, there was not an empty glass or hungry guest. All night we heard praises from everyone about the deliciousness of all the food. Among the favorites were the datiles (bacon wrapped dates), pan tumaca (tomato spread with Serrano ham on bread), solomillo (grilled filet mignon over goat cheese spread on bread), and seafood paella (just writing this review is making my mouth water)! Many of our guests raved about the unique idea of having tapas in place of traditional American food options. The large variety of Spanish wine, and both white and red sangria were also among the favorites of all of our guests. It is difficult to fully convey in words our overall pleasure and appreciation with the way Sala One Nine handled our event. Our reception turned out to be better than we ever imagined it could be. To this day, we continue to hear from our friends that our wedding was one of the best they have every attended! Sala One Nine will always hold a special place in our hearts, and we look forward to having all of our future anniversary dinners there with our new friends.
