th the team. We started by stating what style cuisine we were looking for at our wedding and followed this conversation up with our first official tasting. We were presented with a variety of options that could fit what we were looking for and were able to make any comments or recommendations during this time. The food was delicious upon our first tasting, but we made tweaks to meet our personal preferences for the vision of our event (eg: cajun pasta came with chicken and we exchanged the chicken for shrimp, we tasted grilled snapper at the time of the tasting, but were advised multiple fish options due to the season of our scheduled event and ultimately selected triple tail, etc). At our second and final tasting we were happily surprised that all of our corrections were met and we were happy to finalize our menu. There were a few hiccups along the way relating to a change in staff and receiving final proposals. Paige directly remedied this issue and actually gifted us some alcohol for our signature cocktails in an attempt to make things right. The day of our wedding was nothing slight of perfect! Paige and the team over exceeded our expectations. We had many people point out how delicious the food was and complimented their staff directly. All in all, we would recommend Southern Flavor Catering for not only your future weddings but any other event you are looking to have show stopping cuisine.

and inedible and there were many missing dishes that weren't serviced, that were paid for! (37k mind you, not chump change) 9 courses were set to be served and our table received a whopping 5. All of which were sent back to be disposed of. Again, these dishes were largely inedible. Now, we fully understand that Vietnamese cuisine is difficult for any company to make if they don't have the experience behind them, Southern Flavor should have declined if they weren't confident in catering the dishes. Edited to add that Southern Flavor has now responded publicly on Facebook admitting no fault nor offering a resolution. Please look on TheKnot where they have MORE negative reviews from different catered events over the months. This isn't a one time mishap, in my opinion, it seems to be a common occurrence.

oup came out ! We just sent the food back because it was gross. It didn't even look up to Vietnamese traditional wedding food ! What a shame ! If you can't caterer correctly just don't take something you can't handle. Food came out very slow and service omg ! Food came out two minutes the waitress want to take it off the table .The best part is the wedding cake and desserts bar which they didn't make.

Note: the food was a very high expense given there were 400+ guests. Their service is equally as terrible because the owner is delusional and convinced guests enjoyed the food even though she was TOLD it was NOT good and the food was being sent back.. what a joke of a business.

but our food definitely suffered for it. We rescheduled and the food was great. However it tasted nothing like it did at our tasting at the wedding. The food was terrible at our reception. They promised "fluff" for the food tables and there was none. I asked about it because we would have provided it if they weren't going to. The worst part about it was several of our guests over heard the wait staff complaining about tips when hadn't even gotten that squared away yet. Needless to say we kept our tips. Terrible terrible terrible. I highly recommend paying a little more and going with another caterer.

hen it was MY wedding. More than once she set up a meeting with me and no showed. Not one detail that I planned nor that she had wrote in my folder was done at the wedding. The grooms cake was set out to early and destroyed , the alcohol I requested ran out within minutes, the food wasn’t ready on time, the bartender was rude to our guest, the TVs were broke for a promised football game, etc. we were also told we could use the venue as late as we wanted and at 8pm were told we were being kicked out. DO not hire them for your special day that is suppose to be flow and be stress free because it is far from that.

ot done perfectly. She went so far as to get out lasers to make sure the tables were lined up perfectly and even made sure the creases in the tablecloths were lined up. She wanted to decorate the kids food table with a different colored tablecloth in one of our wedding colors, so she pulled up different shades of green on her phone to ask my fiancé which one was most accurate and then sent a member of her team to the rental shop to get it on the morning of the wedding. She will even help you figure out how much alcohol you need if you are supplying your own and will teach you ways to save money, and she was spot on with the amounts! We had no trouble getting our leftovers from her, and she is even still storing the top tier of our cake in her freezer with no pressure from her to come get it. Paige also returned the cake stands I rented from another vendor for me, which is something I didn’t even ask her to do. She just did it out of the goodness of her heart so we would not have to worry about it after the wedding. She and her team are the only reason that setup and breakdown of tables and miscellaneous decor got done. We had our reception at a city building with no staff, and we could not find anyone to set up or break down for us. I mean, NOBODY would do it. We were so close to having to ask our families do it, which we really did not want to do when they are supposed to be celebrating with us. It was such a relief when Paige told us that we could pay them to do it. Paige and her team were the last ones to leave our venue, and they worked their butts off the entire 15 hours they were there. Every single member of her staff was so respectful, professional, and an absolute joy to interact with. They were constantly looking for any way they could help or serve us. I swear they would have walked over hot coals if they thought it would make our wedding day better. We cannot thank them enough for the generosity they showed and the hard work they put in to give us the wedding reception of our dreams. And as an added bonus, it was super affordable! We cannot recommend this vendor enough!

our leftover food and cake would be sent home with the bride and groom as well as groom's and bride's parents. If anything were to change, we were told we would be notified immediately. On the day of our wedding, we found out the secondary "team" was present, not the team we were promised. We also were told by various guests that the servers did not wear masks when serving food. Lastly, we did not get any of the food that was left over, as promised. A week later our venue told us the food had been left there with no communication to anyone from the catering team. There was a lot of miscommunication and it was incredibly disappointing. I understand things come up, just wish more communication had occurred.

contained soggy bread and NUTS even though it was clearly stated there was a nut allergy and absolutely no nuts were to be served. It was a struggle to get our leftovers from the wedding. I should have know from the lack of communication and unprofessionalism that she was going to make wedding day a disaster!

MAZING bartenders and they even coordinated the cake cutting! Definitely fun to work with, too!
