Offering a repertoire of songs that span several genres and decades, they play throughout any part of your wedding and can be accompanied by more musicians to form a trio, 4-piece, or 5-piece band. From beautiful slow ballads to danceable sing-along songs, the band has a versatile range for your individual needs. Suzie and Ben have played hundreds of weddings / venues and from cover songs to original songs, they have entertained guests of all ages. Their songs have been used on international TV shows including Dancing With The Stars, So You Think You Can Dance, and The BBC London. Their melodies have also been heard in various Starbucks around the country and their latest music received a rave review by Music Connection Magazine. Whether you require ceremony music or reception entertainment, The Side Project offers expertise to all key moments on your big day. Through consultations, Suzie and Ben can devise a playlist that flawlessly symbolizes your loving relationship. From The Beatles to Whitney Houston, their song list includes tunes to please any crowd. They can also learn new songs specifically for your wedding day. I cannot say enough good things about Suzie and Ben! They were so incredible and easy to work with. Our Alaska destination wedding required many logistical hurdles, and they just rolled with it the whole time, seemingly eager to make our wedding experience as headache-free as possible. When we said we wanted a horn in the band, they made it happen, even though they had never performed with a saxophone before! And they sounded phenomenal - everyone at the wedding told us later how good they were. The best part? They were the most delightful people to work with - thoughtful, kind, and professional throughout. Would absolutely recommend. The Side Project was the perfect wedding band.

The Side Project did an amazing job at our daughter’s wedding in August of 2023! They were at the venue for 10 hours and went above and beyond to make the event seamless. The music they played was BEAUTIFUL and fun and our guests were continuously asking us who the amazing band was! The Side Project played the music for the ceremony, the reception and then also did an awesome job with DJing late into the evening. The dance floor was always full of our wedding guests having a fantastic time! Honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a better band to play and emcee throughout the evening. The Side Project is top notch! We already looking forward to hiring them for future events!

The Side Project band was a phenomenal fit for us and I'm so thankful we found them. Of course the music was wonderful and they are truly professionals. It was such a relief to have one less thing to worry about by being able to trust their judgement and execution. Hopefully my friends will hire The Side Project for their weddings!

From the time the wedding began until the very end, The Side Project supported so beautifully the background music for every detail of the event. Their professionalism, sensitivity, handling all of the DJ parts of the event, and beautiful music blessed everyone in attendance. This is truly a music ministry. Also, Ben and Suzie are great communicators, very loving, very supportive of the wedding couple. I rate them A plus. You will never be disappointed in this wedding band. We will hire them again when our next granddaughter gets married.

This band was recommended to me from a friend in the Events business and listed several bands. Susie was responsive, the band's website was accurate and easy to navigate, and their lineup of songs fit the venue for my husband's 40th birthday party. We had guests of all ages and backgrounds, and of course, musical preference. They set up well in advance and were super low maintenance as the event organizer. They are GREAT at performing, can READ the room, and will DELIVER a great night!! Thanks to TSP for a memorable evening!

Suzie, Ben, and The Side Project are not only talented and professional musicians - they're also kind and thoughtful, and were therefore a pleasure to work with leading up to the day and on the day itself. The band provided a super smooth pre-ceremony and cocktail hour vibe for our guests. And, they also got the house rockin' while playing tunes that had everyone - young and old - singing and dancing late into the night. Amazing!! The Side Project is genuinely so good! They were professional and accommodating from the day we booked until the end of night. They’re incredibly friendly, talented, and learned custom songs that meant so much to us! They were our band, DJ, and MC. Throughout the night and to this day, we have people ask who the band is and where they can go watch them because they were such a hit. We weren’t big dancers but love music, and they got everyone dancing when we needed and were a pleasure to listen to and just enjoy when we needed that too. They read the room great and provided more than I even expected when we initially booked. My big day couldn’t have happened without them. They bring a great vibe and created the atmosphere I dreamed of through their beautiful music and friendly vibes. Highest recommendation!

We hired the Side Project for an outdoor summer wedding in Seattle, Suzie, Ben, and two other musicians. Their singing and music created the perfect mood throughout the day for us to celebrate, a beautiful performance for us all to remember. Suzy and Ben were amazing from start to finish! We hired The Side Project to play for our wedding and they did everything they could to make the process go smoothly for us. They communicated quickly and clearly, sounded amazing, and even let us use their sound equipment for the ceremony/speeches/DJ dancing at the end of the night. Suzie and Ben and the rest of the Side Project were so amazing. We originally thought we weren't going to get a band for our celebration but I am so glad we did. Suzie was super communicative pre wedding about song selections and how to make the nights music transition and flow smoothly. During the night of the celebration they set up early and helped out anywhere they could. We also didn't have a wedding coordinator, so Suzie was so helpful in getting people transitioned to dinner and later speeches. The music was so incredible! They played two live band sets and DJ'd for us in between. People were dancing all night long and I wish they stayed longer! I received so many compliments from guest about the Side Project. They definitely made our night even more special than it already was. AND they also were celebrating their wedding anniversary! Hope you had as much fun as us Suzie and Ben! Thank you so much for everything!

Look no further as the Side Project is a one-stop-shop for all your wedding music needs. They are a band and DJ all in one. They recently did our wedding and they played accoustic music for our isle and ceremony, then got revved up and added drums and electric guitar for the reception music playing rock music; and at the end of the evening we switched it up to top 40 hits and they became our DJ. They truly can do it all and it was the most fun we have had in years. Thanks Ben and Suzie you are amazing humans and incredibly talented.

Oh man. These guys are awesome. First of all, they are extremely good at what they do. Our guests just loved their music and kept commenting on how talented they were. They even learned our first dance song just for us and let me tell you, it sounds so much better coming from a live band who put their own sound/style into it! Second, Suzie is a delight to work with. Super responsive and enthusiastic despite the idea of having to drive up a rough mountain road to get to our venue and dealing with the limitations of a venue without power! Not only did they make it work, they made it great! They also provided audio support for non band related things like the ceremony, which I did not adequately plan for… good thing I picked such great vendors! Thank you all!
