Of all the places I went this one was by far the best, all the way around. The service was wonderful, the owner worked with me directly and had such a wonderful persona and great energy about her. I really appreciated the one-on-one attention, ...
that she had samples ordered in for me before I came in and that I was not rushed in the slightest. I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for an outstanding dress shopping experience. To top it all off - I found my dream dress (slightly under budget)!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

I ordered my dress in April for a November wedding, and at that time I had fantastic customer service. I truly believe they either never ordered the dress or used my down payment to pay off something else and ordered it too late. After twice ...
a week phone calls a month before my wedding, I ended up buying something off the rack at another salon. I NEVER saw my original dress. The owner gave us so many lies that I can't believe anything she said. As of now, it's 2 weeks after the wedding, and we are still FIGHTING for a REFUND of the dress I never received. She wrote my mom a bad check, so I think that says it all. The more I read online, the more I believe she'll be filing for bankruptcy soon, but how many weddings will she ruin by then?

The Wedding Works former location on Main Street in Binghamton (formerly known as Jo Ann's Bridal Salon) was the first place I went to look for wedding dresses. After trying on only 3 gowns I had found THE ONE!! They saved me a trip to Elmira, ...
Syracuse, or even PA because they had the lowest price for my dress style. However, I wasn't very pleased with my overall experience once the 2 stores had merged because written records and computer records weren't combined, and I was constantly asked to pay the balance due which had been done almost immediately after receiving the phone call stating my dress was in. The staff had a difficult time locating my dress every time I went to try it on. One staff member even went as far as arguing with my sister, who was my matron of honor, regarding what size dress she should order when she requested to order 1 to 2 sizes larger than what she normally wears. She had tried on every size 14 & 16 dress they had in-store and none of them zipped completely because they were too small, yet the girl arguing with her said she'd be fine to wear a size 12. I don't know if I'd recommend them to too many people based on my experience and other negative reviews I've heard from my friends with similar problems.

They helped me every step of the way, even from the wedding colors to the perfect seamstress to use.

My dress was gorgeous, but the service is horrible. My wedding dress came in 4 weeks before my wedding even though I had been told it would come in 2 to 3 months before my wedding. And when it did come in, it came in wrong so I have to do way...
more alterations than I should have. They offered to do the alterations, but I had to go to their seamstress which was 40 minutes from my house. The bridesmaids dresses came in only a couple of weeks before the wedding which made it difficult for my girls who were out of town to get alterations in time. One of the girls had ordered a shawl with her dress, which did not come in with the dress. When I called about it, they had no idea what I was talking about. I have also heard them talking about me when I was still in the store! They didn't even wait for me to leave until they started bad mouthing me. I do not recommend purchasing any major items from them unless you want way more stress added to your wedding planning. I was a very calm and easy-going bride, but they really upset me. Wedding Works is not organized or professional. I would go elsewhere.

l below the "average height" of 5'9" and it was a lace dress and you couldn't simply hem it. Already having set my heart on that dress I went ahead and paid $80 to have it special ordered and didn't save the 10% off the sample. When it came in it was not shortened for me and all of the sudden it was ok to hem it. They paid for the hem but I was still out almost $200.

nd. The only glitch, which was later remedied, was in the ordering of my shoes, which came in months after I ordered them. Apparently, since they were shoes normally worn by the women who modeled the shops' gowns, the were were snagged when the models came into the shop to make ready for an upcoming bridal show. The shoes had to be reordered. I don't think I was as accommodated as I thought I should be but everything smoothed itself out; however, it did put a crimp in my first impression.
On a more positive end note, I appreciated that The Wedding Works allowed me to store my dress there until my seamstress was ready for it and overall I had a good experience.
