Norma did an amazing job with our ceremony. From the moment we first met with her, we knew she would be a great fit for our wedding and couldn't be happier with the results. Our ceremony was incredibly personalized and touching — many people told us they shed a tear during it. We can't recommend Norma and One Heart Personalized Ceremonies enough!
We hired Norma to do our ceremony in July, and we are so happy we did. We wanted a ceremony that felt really warm and personal, and Norma worked with us to create just that. We had at least 2 zoom calls to discuss the ceremony, and she was really open to any changes we wanted to make. Would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for an officiant!

My husband and I are so happy we were able to work with Mark! We searched for awhile when looking for a wedding officiant - we wanted someone professional, personable, and able to put a ceremony together that reflected us as a couple and our values, beliefs, etc. Mark did all of this and more, giving us an absolutely beautiful ceremony that encompassed everything we wanted. My husband and I were very picky about who we wanted for our minister. We wanted someone who would deliver a ceremony with the gravitas of a church/temple ceremony without being overly religious. As an interfaith couple we also wanted a ceremony that reflected both of our religions. We're so lucky we found One Heart Ceremonies and Norma. Before hiring Norma, we had toyed with the idea of having a friend or loved on officiate, but we also wanted someone professional, someone who knew what they were doing.

Mark did a great job with our wedding. By the wedding day, I completely trusted him. We had several Zoom planning sessions where he asked really detailed questions to plan our ceremony in a way that reflected us.
I have known Norma since I was in my early 20's, and I always told myself that if I ever get married, I want her to officiate my wedding. She is one of the kindest people I've ever met. 25 years later, at age 48, when I finally proposed to my now wife, I contacted Norma to ask her if she was available, and luckily she was! We had an outdoor ceremony, and Norma made my wedding a day I would never forget. You will not find a genuine or more compassionate person.

We can safely say that without Mark, our wedding really wouldn't have gone as well as we had hoped for. He was like a stable pillar admits the chaos and thanks to his professionalism, kindness, and patience it all came together during the ceremony and we could not have been any happier. Beautiful & Highly Personalized Ceremony! Norma at One Heart was a key part of our making our wedding day truly special! She really took the time to get to know my husband and I to ensure our ceremony really reflected our love story. My husband and I have been together for 11+ years so writing a ceremony that captured all of our story was not an easy one. Ahead of the big day, we meet with Norma over Zoom to formally meet one another and talk about some of the key things we did and did not want in our ceremony. Neither my husband and I are religious, so we didn’t want any religious references in the ceremony and Norma did a great job accommodating that. The questionnaire she had us both separately fill out was very detailed and helped Norma get familiar with us individually but as a couple as well. A few weeks before the wedding, we met again over Zoom so Norma could share pieces and themes of the ceremony with us which we loved.
On the big day, her words were deeply moving and she did such a great job telling our story. It was as if she knew us for years! She also helped file our marriage certificate with the state, which was super helpful by taking that off our plate. I would definitely recommend using Norma at One Heart for a genuinely customized and heartfelt wedding ceremony!
Norma was an absolute pleasure and we were overjoyed to have her officiate at our daughter and son-in-law’s wedding! She seamlessly gave them the interfaith ceremony they discussed with her and so beautifully incorporated their personalities! Just fantastic! Mark officiated our wedding and did such a wonderful job. We had a few calls leading up to the wedding where we told him the background of our relationship and discussed what we were looking for in our wedding ceremony. He truly listened to everything we said we were looking for on our wedding day and exceeded our expectations the day of. He brought in religious elements we wanted to incorporate and suggested a few readings that we instantly connected with. I have known Norma for about 30 years, even before she became ordained and started officiating. We loved working with Norma for our June 2022 wedding! She is very knowledgable and guided us through every step of the ceremony. I personally hate public speaking and I was very nervous about writing my vows. However, I felt so comfortable during the ceremony and I believe it is because of Norma's reassurance and presence. She also suggested a reading for a ceremony that was so us! She also incorporated traditions from both of our cultures without one being more prominent than the other, which is what we wanted. “That was the best wedding ceremony I have ever heard!” After our long-delayed wedding in April of 2022, we heard the above from so many family and friends. And we’re both in our mid-40s, so it’s not like our guests haven’t all been to dozens of weddings. But Norma was just THAT good.
Our journey with Norma started three years ago, when we became engaged in 2019. Norma met with us and designed a beautiful ceremony … which didn’t get to happen, because it was scheduled for April of 2020. Instead, the pandemic forced us to cancel our wedding. When we told Norma, she offered to marry us right away in a socially distanced outdoor ceremony. She immediately revised the ceremony she had written for us, and the next day she gave us a beautiful wedding with only two witnesses instead of the 200 we had originally planned. Norma brought everything we needed and gave us a joyful day even as the world seemed to be falling to pieces all around us.
Two years later, we finally felt that it was safe enough to have the wedding we originally planned, and we knew we had to have Norma on board. And she DELIVERED THE GOODS! She rewrote our nuptials yet again, and delivered a ceremony full of love and good feelings and humor. It was so heartfelt and wonderful. Norma’s words and thoughts and delivery made sure there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
Both of our wedding days were among the very best days of our lives, and Norma Moutal helped make it so. We can never thank her enough.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about the amazing job that Norma did officiating our marriage. She was so great, she married us TWICE! (Thanks, Covid). Our first ceremony was August of 2020 when we eloped after our wedding had been canceled due to the pandemic. That ceremony was just Norma, us, our dog and a friend to take pictures while our families watched on zoom. Norma's words were so beautiful and so perfectly suited to us. Being able to have that special ceremony before our BIG day was truly a little silver lining of the pandemic. Next, in October 2021, Norma remarried us at Glen Island Harbour Club. This service was also absolutely spectacular. Norma took the time to get to know both of us and truly tailored our ceremonies to what we asked for; non-religious with reflections of the Christian values we'd been raised with. The process of actually making our large wedding happening with 3 reschedules and an elopement thrown in was long and daunting, but Norma was supportive and so easy to work with through it all. We would recommend her and One Heart Ceremonies over and over again, they were truly a 10/10!
Mark Giller gave us the most perfect wedding ceremony we ever could have imagined. He captured our love, our friendship, and passion, and created the most beautiful ceremony. We were blown away at how well he represented us. I can't even count how many people came up to us after the fact to tell us how beautiful our ceremony was. Choosing an officiant can definitely be a difficult task because most of the time you don't know the person and have to rely on reviews or recommendations. However, Mark makes you feel like you have known him forever and will deliver the most thoughtful ceremony. We are beyond happy that we found One Heart Ceremonies and had Mark officiate our wedding. Do yourself a favor and book him for your wedding also!
Love – it really is the only thing that matters and with Norma it comes in spades.
We met Norma through my son and daughter in law who hired Norma for their wedding and for us it was love at first sight. Norma offered a completely personal, warm and loving ceremony that was a truly a highlight of our son and daughter in laws wedding.
As contemporaries, we connected with Norma and her husband as personal friends and have had the joy and privilege of spending time with the two of them.
Since then, Norma truly has become part of our family and has conducted baby naming for both of our grandchildren and has married our younger son and his wife. Each time she joined us as an efficient, her words connected with us on so many levels.
But the most meaningful was a memorial service she conducted this past November. Finally able to come together as family and in person, Norma spent the time to learn about our mom and the service she performed was so heartfelt and beautiful. All our guests commented on how beautiful the service was and how each of them was touched by Norma’s words.
We look forward not only to spending time with Norma as friends but celebrating and sharing more family lifecycle events in the future.
Mark gave us a priceless wedding gift; the most perfect ceremony. To rewind, we knew just moments into our first conversation with Mark that he and One Heart Personalized Ceremonies were the perfect complement to our wedding story. We felt like he somehow already knew us.

Mark helped make our ceremony very beautiful and personalized! Our ceremony included some traditional Filipino rituals, and Mark not only knew about them, but was the one to actually recommend them to us for the ceremony. He was always very courteous and made us feel very comfortable leaving the officiating in his hands. He made an effort to get to know us on a very personal level to really make sure the ceremony reflected us. During the ceremony, he did forget one step (sharing of roses to the mothers) which we felt was important for our ceremony, but otherwise he did a great job of keeping us comfortable and keeping our guests engaged and informed. He also went the extra step in giving advice and proofreading our vows - that was a pleasant surprise!

Working with One Heart Personalized Ceremonies was a fantastic decision for our wedding. They came recommended by our venue, and we had such a great experience working with Mark and Debra. They were so organized and detail oriented, and we spoke several times before the wedding so they really understood us as a couple and to get all the details needed for the day-of. The wedding day was perfect and our ceremony could not have been better, it was exactly what we were hoping for!
Norma was a fabulous officiant! Our ceremony felt so personalized and truly spoke to who we are as a couple. She had great ideas for how to add special touches to our ceremony including a time capsule box and a flower ceremony to honor our loved ones. We had a few last minute changes that we wanted to make and Norma was very accommodating. She was responsive and available by phone and email. We would absolutely work with her again!

Mark was an excellent officiant for our wedding. We were super happy with how everything turned out. He did a fantastic job. My husband and I contacted Mark pre Covid for our May 2021 wedding. From the start Mark was so responsive and attentive to us. Unfortunately due to Covid we never got to meet Mark in person but we did get to have many FaceTime meetings leading up to our wedding day. We truly felt like Mark got to know us and was able to capture our love for each other. Our ceremony truly was better than we could have even imagined. I thought that finding and selecting an Officiant for our wedding would be difficult, since neither myself nor husband actively practice any faith. So, I turned to Google to find if there were people who dedicate their lives to officiating wedding ceremonies. Mark responded within 48 hours to my Contact Us request, submitted through the website to set up a brief Facetime call. Being able to see Mark during this first meet-and-greet was important to me and I was able to see his facial expressions that he truly did dedicate his work to love and matrimony. He clearly outlined the process for getting-to-know us as newlyweds so that he could curate a completely custom ceremony. I was even more impressed with the professionalism and passion Mark had for this industry. At this point I knew I didn’t have to look any farther for an Officiant. The months leading up to the wedding, Mark was responsive and helpful with guidance around obtaining our marriage license as well.
As Officiant at our wedding, Mark started our amazing day with a ceremony he carefully prepared that was completely tailored to us and our style. He set the tone for our celebration with a joyful and meaningful welcome for my husband and I, our families, and friends. Mark shared the biography of our relationship with insight and humor. This review is surprisingly challenging to write because there are so many things we want to say! Mark pieced together a fantastic ceremony for our wedding, it was definitely a highlight of the night! We were lucky to find Mark from One Heart Ceremonies for our 2020 wedding. We loved that Mark took the time to meet with us a few months before the big day, to learn about us and our relationship. It felt so great that he listened to all of our interests and the way we are as a couple, and then he took that and tailored a beautiful ceremony for us. Norma married my now husband & I in early November, and it was the most beautiful, personalized ceremony we could've imagined! Norma was so wonderful and easy to work with, we loved her the second we met her. She asked really great questions and got to know us well - we could easily hear our voices come through in the ceremony. She helped make the ceremony so incredibly special, unique and memorable! Mark officiated our wedding ceremony in August of 2019. He was so lovely to work with leading up to the wedding and on the day of. He was super informative and made us feel comfortable throughout the entire process. He has a great presence and gave us wonderful recommendations for our readings. We connected via FaceTime before the wedding, and he really put in an effort to get to know us so he could personalize our ceremony. Mark created some special moments for my husband and me during the ceremony, and he worked with our videographer so that the ceremony could be filmed. We are so grateful that he could be an integral part of our wedding day, and we will forever cherish the memories we made!
Mark was an absolute pleasure and delight to work with. After our first phone conversation with him we knew that we wanted him to perform our ceremony. He was kind, thoughtful, personable, professional, and truly invested in getting to know us both as individuals and as a couple. He took the time to get to know us and our story and when we spoke it was as if we were speaking to an old friend. We got engaged in March 2020 and decided in August 2020 to get married in October--of 2020! Neither of us have any official religious affiliation, so we weren't sure how best to find an officiant. After some research I found One Heart Ceremonies, and from our first conversation with Mark, we felt we were in good hands. When our initial plans for a traditional wedding fell through (due to covid), we reached out to local officiants to do a private outdoor ceremony. Mark was more than happy to fill that role! We had several phone calls and facetime meetings to make sure we were all on the same page regarding the personalized ceremony. Mark was kind enough to even great our guests "hello, good day," etc. in Russian as my husband's family was watching over a Zoom stream from Ukraine and Russia. Since there was no rehearsal, Mark surprised us with some cute statements from our wedding website making us laugh! He even took bits and pieces of our dating and engagement story and flawlessly weaved it into our ceremony. The ceremony was extremely intimate and sentimental. While not what we initially envisioned, overall we ended up a perfect ceremony held on Mother's Day for all of our family to watch near and far! Mark was absolutely amazing and saved our wedding day. When COVID hit, we were so sad that we could not have the wedding day we planned, but still wanted to get married. We went ahead and had a backyard wedding with a cut down list. Our church at that time was not able to host any gatherings, and we were left with no priest or officiant to marry us. We can across Mark's page and were so relieved when he said he was able to officiate. It was a pleasure working with him, he eased our nerves and walked us through every step of the ceremony. We cannot thank him enough.
My husband and I had Norma officiate our wedding. We had to change our plans for our wedding due to Covid, so we were married with a small group in my parent's backyard. Norma was easy to get and contact with and so flexible while we changed our plans. Our ceremony was very personalized. Our parents and grandparents still rave about how beautiful the ceremony was. When we called Norma to tell her that we had to postpone our wedding due to Coronavirus, she immediately offered to marry us the next day. Her quick thinking and decisiveness allowed us to get married before the clerk's office in NYC shut down for the pandemic. She met us at a mutually convenient (and also beautiful!) location with her husband and son and performed a personal and lovely ceremony for us. Her husband was our photographer and her son was our ring bearer and musician. They also acted as our witnesses to sign our marriage license. Norma's quick thinking and flexibility allowed us to get married before our planned wedding date, so that when it rolled around, we could celebrate our marriage, rather than mourn our postponed event. From our very first introductory call, my husband and I knew Mark would be an incredible officiant. In every single communication, he was professional and warm, and took the time to get to really know us both as individuals and as a couple. With Mark, we could feel at ease. He really delivered on all aspects, from creating an entirely personalized ceremony program that truly encapsulated us as a couple, to overall just being an indispensable part of our entire planning process and wedding day. After the wedding, we heard so many compliments from our guests about how great Mark was. We cannot recommend Mark and One Heart Personalized Ceremonies enough, and they deserve all the accolades they have already gotten over the last 10+ years.
Norma was the officiant for my wedding and she was AWESOME! She was very responsive and was incredibly easy to set up a time to chat with. We spoke with her mostly after work, close to 7pm, and we really appreciated her flexibility. Norma did a great job commanding the room and focusing on the love between the both of us at our ceremony. Neither my wife nor I are very religious and Norma did a great job learning about us before the wedding enough to accurately portray our love story to all our guests at the ceremony.
We were having some difficulty finding the perfect person to preside over our wedding this past September. Our venue recommended Mark and after having an initial phone interview with him we knew he was the right person to marry us.
