We Make You the Star Entertainment was truly the DJ of our dreams. JC kept the mood elevated, hype, and so much FUN! I had guests compliment his work the entire day. We loved that he took time to review our plans for music the week before the wedding over the phone, meticulously mixed the music in advance, and came prepared, ready to entertain guests the entire day. He never missed a beat, literally. He was professional, respectful, hilarious, and so outgoing. He knew what to play and when to play it. I can confidently say that my wedding would not have been the same without this wonderful DJ - from the ceremony music, to the reception music, to the after party, he always knew what he was doing.

long post ahead - for anyone looking for a DJ I would stay away from we make you the star entertainment. this company did my sisters wedding about a year ago, and everything was amazing, so we hired them to do my wedding in August. Everything leading up was good, we had a call the week of the wedding making sure everyone was on the same page about the events. The day of the wedding was a whole different ball game. The dj “Scotty” showed up to DJ our wedding. The ceremony went well.. When we arrived to the reception you could tell something was off, he was sweaty and talking crazy, we thought maybe he was just trying to keep things light and flowy. It then goes on to the first dances where he mixed up songs for all the first dances. Once those were over we started our dinner where he played “sweet caroline” and for anyone from WV you know how we sing that song. I did not want that played during dinner as I wanted just soft music like a normal eating arrangement. After that the dancing began. At this point he would play a song and barely play any of it by interrupting it by screaming “eat shit pitt” the whole time. After the first hour of dancing he then began playing very vulgar songs. These consisted of colt 45 and my neck my back. We NEVER wanted those songs played and he would not stop playing even when we begged him to stop. I had older family and children there so I was absolutely horrified. We then asked him to please just play country roads (my last song request) to which he interrupted the whole thing by screaming “eat shit pitt”. We ended up cutting the reception short by almost 2 hours because my night had been absolutely ruined. We then come to find out he was sneaking alcohol from behind the bar and trying to fight the bartender as well as the management of the venue. Needless to say I was absolutely torn to pieces. He ended up leaving the place and leaving his assistant with no place to stay and no ride home. He stole all his belonging and he ended up staying in my family’s air bnb. The owner of the business Josh was made aware of the situation the night of to which we had called and he apologized stating I would be getting a full refund. I have now been trying (and am still in the process) of getting said refund back. I am in absolute shock of how this company has treated this situation of ruining what is supposed to be someone perfect day. We just want it over with, and want to warn people before booking with them.
