The cake from Cakes by Gina was truly exceptional! Each flavor combination was a delightful treat, and I’m genuinely sad that I didn’t get to enjoy more of it on my wedding day. I’m already looking forward to savoring more on our anniversary and wish I could indulge in this delectable creation every year.

Ordered a 2 tier wedding cake from Cakes by Gina. The cake looked great and tasted even better. We did 2 flavors, amaretto with strawberry filling and chocolate with hazelnut filling. Your order comes with a separate anniversary topper. Everything is done online in their portal and organizing delivery was easy and we had no issues.

Delicious and beautiful cake! The whole process was pretty seamless; we scheduled a tasting, it went well, and you get extra cake to take home. The placement of the flowers on the cake looked great. Delivery to the venue was on time and uneventful. The cake was just as good at our wedding as it was at the tasting! Definitely recommend this bakery for a wedding cake! We loved our wedding cake from Gina! We did our tasting a few months before the wedding, and it was the piece we were most excited for on our big day. We didn’t have any problems with delivery, and our guests loved it. We were so grateful we had leftovers to enjoy! The team was so friendly and helpful!

We were so impressed with Cakes by Gina! Our experience started with prompt communication to schedule a cake tasting. The cake tasting was fabulous! They gave my fiancé and I each a huge plate of cake flavors to try and let us customize the flavors and fillings/icings to sample! They also provided complimentary mimosas! Both the samples and our actual cakes on our wedding day were delicious and moist which is SO important for wedding cakes. Our cakes truly tasted as good as they looked! I loved that our consultant free-hand sketched our wedding cake designs as we described to her our vision at the cake tasting. Even more impressive, they flawlessly brought our visions to life! 10/10 would recommend!!!

Absolutely loved working with Cakes by Gina from beginning to end! When we went in for our tasting we could not decide on flavors because they were all so good, so we got each flavor as a layer! And since weddings are mostly about what bride wants my husband got a Grooms Cake of a yeti decorated with all things he loves. He even had stickers added to the side of the yeti that looked awesome! None of our guest could believe it was a cake because of how realistic it looked! We also added little figures of our 3 dogs so that they would be incorporated into our big day! We had multiple guest tell us how awesome the cake was and let me tell you the cake went FAST! Guest wanted seconds and thirds because it was delicious! We were so thankful they packed some for my husband and I without us even asking, so we could enjoy that amazing cake! I will definitely be ordering from here for events for now on! The best cake!!!! It tasted incredible and it was exactly what we wanted. We had our florist add flowers to it and it turned out beautiful. I highly recommend Cakes by Gina -- worth every penny!

We absolutely adore Cakes by Gina. Our wedding planner (Stephanie with En Vogue Events) introduced us to Gina and her team, and we are so grateful! Our cake was DELICIOUS as well as beautiful. We were so happy, it was perfect and was a wonderful part of our big day. I brought some inspiration photos with me to our cake tasting/planning meeting, and Gina knew exactly what to provide for a custom design. She was creative and listened to my ideas. Gina and her team are fabulous! Another sweet note - when my husband, my mom and I went to our cake tasting, Gina sent us home with our leftovers from the tasting, and even sent my mom home with a tasting box for my dad since he didn't attend the tasting! It was such a sweet gesture. Final note - we received instructions for how to freeze our top tier so we could eat it on our anniversary - it froze perfectly and it was a great treat to have to celebrate our first wonderful year of marriage.

We recently had our wedding cake done with Cakes By Gina & can say the cake was beautiful! Especially the cake stand we added on! However, they didn’t put the greenery we had wanted along the sides (which was provided) they only put the white roses - so that threw off the final touches of the cake & look we were hoping for. I didn’t get to see the cake before the wedding because I was forbidden to come out of the bridal suite. We had gone over the sketch & I did show them pictures. Other then that.. working with the team was fun/easy & they were punctual. They make beautiful cakes! Thank y’all.

Our wedding cake and groom's cake were BEYOND perfection!! Not only were they so beautifully designed, but they tasted amazing and our guests could not stop raving about the cakes!! My husband wanted his groom's cake to look like his golf bag, and the cake looked so real that some people thought it was truly his golf bag sitting on the table. Cakes by Gina was such a joy to work with throughout the entire process! They were so attentive to our vision during the initial tasting and flexible with our changes we had made prior to the wedding. 100% recommend Cakes by Gina, and we will definitely be using them again in the future!

Would highly recommend. My original bakery baked out 20 days before our wedding and they stepped up to the plate and squeezed us in. They did amazing design wise an they cake tastes even better! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Gina and her team did amazing for my wedding! On the way to our venue, the cake was damaged in a car accident and her team immediately stepped up and created me a new cake from scratch. I would have never known there was a problem if my family had not told me after the wedding. Not only was the cake beautiful and what I asked for, but it tasted amazing too. My father-in-law keeps trying to find excuses to order another cake from Gina and her team soon.

Gina nailed the exact look we were going for! It was understated yet stunning! Better than either of us envisioned! And it goes without saying, it was the tastiest cake I've ever had (sorry mom!) People were raving about how good it was, and there was barely any chocolate hazelnut left, so if you're looking for a crowd-pleaser, you know what to pick.

We enjoyed all the cakes at the cake tasting. Our guests loved and enjoyed all four flavors we chose for our wedding.

Cakes by Gina was our first cake tasting and we immediately knew it was the only one we had to do! The staff was so nice and helpful. The tasting itself was so much fun. They let you sample every flavor you’d like to try and even give you mimosas! They designed and created our wedding cake and groom's cake so beautifully. And to make everything better, they were delicious! We went with a four layer butter cream off white wedding cake with a combination of strawberry, white and chocolate cake and a variety of fillings. We incorporated flower details on some of the layers as well as our monogrammed initials. For the groom’s cake, we went with two flags draped over a sheet cake. An Argentine flag that represents my husband’s background and a UH flag to represent his alma mater.

9/10 We ordered two cakes and they were amazing! They looked exactly how we wanted. The cakes also tasted great so no complaints there. They have all of the basic cake flavors and icings, nothing out of the ordinary The tasting was fun and they sketched out our designs and ideas. You are able to make changes up until like a week before the event and it was so easy to do so. They are also on the pricier side but one of the most sought after bakers for wedding cakes.

Cakes by Gina did such a fabulous job for our wedding day. Both our wedding cake and grooms cake were beyond amazing, both visually and taste wise. They turned out even better that I was imagining in my head. They were so easy to work with and Rachael was so helpful during our planning session. They paid such close attention to detail and really worked to help us meet our exact vision. They came highly recommended from our wedding planner at Whimsical Events and Cakes by Gina really lived up to their reputation and more. Would absolutely work with them again and am recommending them to all my engaged friends.

CAKES BY GINA IS THE BEST IN HOUSTON! Best design, best cake, best team. I loved the lace details to mimic my wedding gown and there was no cake left at the end of the night. I will continue to recommend gina to everyone and contact them for all of live's sweetest events!

Our cakes was simply gorgeous!!!! By no surprise was it delicious as we enjoyed all the cakes during the cake tasting. Both of our family bakes, but everyone including my Auntie who bakes cakes for every family event was in love! She was like "Girl, I need their information! It's not often the cake is beautiful and taste good!" We ordered the White/Naked Whipped Pineapple Tres Leches (four tiers) and the 5th tier was Bavarian Cream. The cake was to die for!!!!!! Will definitely order again!

I don't have enough words to describe the artistry by this amazing baker. The wedding cake and groom's cake for my daughter's wedding were both stunning and delicious. I always felt like the wedding cakes were the focal point of a wedding and guests couldn't wait to see the cakes. Well, if you have a Cake by Gina, you definitely won't be disappointed. Cakes by Gina made the most beautiful & delicious cake for our February wedding. It was perfect!!

Amazing & so delicious. We went with classic vanilla and marble cakes with cream cheese frosting -- yet it was so beautiful and tasty. We had the tasting over a year before the wedding but it was still as amazing as I remembered!

We chose Cakes by Gina to do our groom’s cake which was an Aggie Ring Box that served 50 people. The cake came out beautifully and tasted delicious! We did vanilla cake with vanilla icing, and the cake was moist! Gina is such a talented artist to say the least; my husband and I loved our experience at her bakery as she has so many amazing cakes that are honestly pieces of art on display in her shop. If you are looking for a baker that will execute exactly what you want that will be a signature part of your wedding, choose Cakes by Gina. She is a bit pricey, but my husband and I agree that it was worth it! So many of our guests LOVED the grooms cake not only for the taste but also for how amazing it looked!

The wedding cake and grooms cake baked by Cakes by Gina were absolutely the best cakes I have ever tasted! They were moist and flavorful as well as beautiful. The groom's cake was so cute! It depicted my son in law's research with little mice running up the side of the cake. It stole the show! I highly recommend Cakes by Gina because the quality of the cakes is unsurpassed, and the artistry is very clever.

- I have so many GREAT things to say about Cakes by Gina! They did our traditional bridal cake and a themed groom’s cake. They are seriously the BEST tasting cakes with such a variety of flavors to choose from. My husband and I had the best time at the cake tasting! The bridal cake was STUNNING!! It is exactly how we pictured it. Now, the groom’s cake was AMAZINGLY designed. It was Kyle field and they were able to incorporate a picture of us on the jumbotron. We have gotten SO MANY compliments on both the designs and the tastes of each cakes! I will be using Cakes by Gina for future cake needs, I highly recommend them!!

Cakes by Gina created our wedding cakes and truly allowed our vision to come to life! These cakes were absolutely beautiful and completely exceeded our expectations. Not to mention how incredible the flavors are! If you are thinking about ordering a cake from them, do it! You will not regret it!

I don’t have enough nice things to say about Cakes by Gina. We had two cakes for our wedding – a tradition bridal cake and a themed groom’s cake. Our running joke is the only thing that was photographed more than my husband and I was the cakes! People could not get over how perfect and delicious they were. Melanie made the planning and tasting meeting so fun! The groom’s cake required empty beer cans so when we dropped those off at the bakery, Melanie gave us some cake to-go. I thought that was so awesome! Their communication, execution and customer service surpassed any expectations I had. We are so grateful and happy with our decision to choose Cakes by Gina!

We have nothing but praise for Cakes by Gina! As a wedding that had to be rescheduled multiple times over a 3 year process due to COVID, they were extremely accommodating and flexible, willing to work with us on whatever date we ended up having! They were professional while also being friendly, laid back, and super easy to work with. The communication was quick and thorough. As I have to be gluten free, they were diligent about providing gluten free options for me (in addition to our "normal" cake), which was amazing! They asked for lots of specifics and details to make sure our cake turned out exactly as we were envisioning. As our guest count changed frequently also due to COVID, they happily changed the guest count often to make sure our pricing was updated. We received TONS of compliments on both our wedding cake and the groom's cake I had them design to surprise my husband with. They both looked absolutely incredible! Not only did they look amazing, but the cake options and taste were second to none. My cousin LOVES dessert and he kept raving that this was by far the best wedding cake he's ever had- and he's been to a lot of weddings! We were impressed with Cakes by Gina from start to finish!

Cakes By Gina had the most amazing cake!! We did marble layers and a red velvet layer. Both were so yummy and the tasting appointment was the best appointment! So many different options we got to try with our families!

If you need a cake for ANY event, you must try out Cakes by Gina. My husband and I are huge 'cake' people, so we knew we needed a slam-dunk cake, focusing on flavor. We tried several bakeries before coming to Cakes by Gina and were frankly underwhelmed. The cakes were good, but something we could've made. Then we came to our tasting with Cakes by Gina and, to start, we tried over 5 types of cake, and they were INCREDIBLE. We ultimately purchased our wedding cake (a more classic - amaretto cake with raspberry filling and lemon cake with lemon curd tiers) and our groom's cake (Tres leches - a must-try!). EVERYONE was amazed by not only the flavors but also the design. We were so grateful for CbG and cannot wait for our next excuse to buy a cake!

If you haven’t checked out Cakes by Gina, you seriously do not know what you are missing. It is, by far, the very best tasting cake of any we tasted with such a variety of flavors to choose from. Our guests devoured it and some went back for thirds. Now for the design, what can we say? These people are truly artists. They have the ability to see the bride’s vision for themselves and produce it. My daughter wanted her two Golden Retrievers incorporated subtlety into the cake design. She got exactly that. Two fondant pups taking a “bite” from the side. How precious! Guests loved it! The Groom’s cake was a Masterpiece!! The Office themed cake featuring Big Tuna, the Teapot and an even a stapler in Jello was a hit!!! Who knew you could do so much with fondant?! What a wonderful conversation piece and truly delicious, as well. Please do not select a baker until you visit with the staff at Cakes by Gina. The showroom alone is worth a trip just to see what these artists can do with cake and icing, but be sure to get a taste, too. Amazing!!

If it was possible to give more than 5 stars on this, I would. My husband specifically wanted an alligator cake for his groom cake and they were able to bring that to life, PLUS it was delicious! Best wedding cake I’ve ever had, and I will be using them for future cake needs.

Cakes by Gina came with our venue at Agave Estates and made everything so easy. The tasting was great and the cake tasted absolutely fantastic! If we could have picked a cake company/vendor this would have been the one to go with! So thank you to both Agave Estates and to Cakes by Gina for working together.

This was hands down the best wedding cake I've ever had. That sentence is basically all you need to know. My husband and I worked with Jimena and she was an absolute sweetheart through the whole planning process! I love how organized their business is and how friendly the staff is. You cannot go wrong with Cakes by Gina!!! I had an idea for a cake design/setup that was pretty simple but they way the execute our idea was FABULOUS! The taste of every tier was even better! They delivered and setup our cake on time and their payment portal was a huge plus since we were always on the go!

Cakes by Gina not only make beautiful and delicious cakes, but they are so great to work with. We had to postpone our wedding twice because of covid and they were very understanding. Our cake turned out perfect!

Cannot say enough nice things about Cakes by Gina! We waited until fairly last minute to even start looking at cakes. Cakes by Gina was quickly accommodating with a tasting, were very receptive to ideas, drew out a sketch that they brought to life perfectly, and were great to work with throughout the whole process. The cake I chose was an amalgamation of multiple different designs put together and it was everything I could have hoped for. The flavors were absolutely delicious and they even gave us an anniversary cake that was a separate flavor! The grooms cake was a 3D twenty sided dice and it came out so life-like. I could not be more impressed and would go back to them for any cake needs in the future!

The cake is delicious and the planning/drawing process is so fun and personalized. They looked at all my examples and came up with a custom cake for our wedding. They were flexible when I had to call and cut down the amount to match our rsvp-ed guests. It's tasty and beautiful! A little pricey, but if they're in your budget, I highly recommend

My cakes for my wedding were absolutely INCREDIBLE!!!!! From the first stage with designing the wedding cake and groom's cake, to the patience and grace Gina's staff had with me having to move my date due to COVID, to the absolutely exquisite final product. Just WOW!!!! THE CAKES WERE THE TALK OF THE EVENING!!! The best, most delicious and always moist!!! So perfect!!!! Thank you for everything you did to help us have our wedding cake visions come to fruition!

Cakes by Gina is the best cake baker in Houston. They always provide the best service and the yummiest cake. My sister used them for her wedding in 2010 and it was so yummy and memorable that I knew I had to use them for my Wedding in May (I’ve also used them for my college graduation cake). I highly recommend them to anyone getting married in the Houston area - I know I’ll be using them for other events down the line in the future!

Would give a 5 for Most Delicious Cake and Fun tasting. Giving a 3 because you need to watch and pay attention to pricing and pay close attention to your quote. *Our cake was many flavors. We had funfetti cake, the chocolate turtle, vanilla, and strawberry. All of them were delicious. The chocolate turtle cake at our wedding was not as filled with nuts and caramel as when we had tried it. *We did the tasting with my mom and grandma and I like the portions and time that we had to try everything. We went to another company where it felt like a speed eating competition and it was too hard to keep all of the flavors straight so this was wonderful. *We were given the option and recommendation at our tasting to add a fake tier because it would look nicer. When it was recommended there was no mention of it being an additional charge. Not to mention 250 dollars additional. Their pricing is not itemized so in the end we didn't realize that price included 250 additional dollars for iced cardboard/plastic. We realized this later when we added a grooms cake and tried to add another fake layer with not much change in the price we were shocked! All that to say pay attention and ask for the price break down. *At our tasting we asked for a textured icing finish and then would put fresh flowers on it for decor. When we looked back at the quote later the texture was not written down correctly, nor were the flavors. At the wedding, the cake was just a plain white cake with no texture or design! Although it was still beautiful and delicious it was a little frustrating to pay that much for a cake and not get what you asked for. * Delivery was on time and easy.

WOW Cakes by Gina really are the absolute best of the best. They create art out of cake, which also TASTES just as good as it looks. They seriously will take any challenge and add any and all personal touches and are the kindest people to work with. We did a groom's cake and a bride's cake and both were incredible in every sense of the word. We also did cake balls and they were addicting to say the least. My father in law was astounded by how amazing they came out, and we can't thank the team enough for giving us everything we could've wanted, and more. They are worth every cent!
