I loved traveler's joy! Great website that is easy to use. Help staff is super helpful as well. Stinks that they take a percentage but they've got to make money. FYI: some more older guests might not like the idea so you might want to do a traditional registry as well.

My husband and I decided to create a honeymoon registry and were not sure what sites to trust. We chose Traveler's Joy and were not disappointed. It was easy to use and we were able to add specific excursions offered in Aruba that we liked best. Receiving the monetary gifts using wire transfer was very easy and it worked well that we could receive general gifts as well. They also provided a "Thank You" List that made it easy to track who gifted us which excursion. We had success with dividing up the price of an excursion into smaller chunks and our entire honeymoon was augmented by daily excursions!

It was so great that so many people contributed to our honeymoon fund. We are planning the trip of a lifetime and are excited to spend some alone time together. Traveler's Joy made the whole process so easy. I would recommend it to anyone.

The only reason I gave Traveler's Joy a 4 (instead of a 5) is that it appeared to be a little confusing to guests as to whether they should print something out and wrap up the print? Or bring a card and assume we know what they gave? For the wedding, this isn't as much a problem, but at a shower where you're opening gifts in front of everyone, you want to be able to thank your guests and that's hard to do if they don't print something out, without bringing a printed list of TJ gifts with you to the shower. It's a minor glitch really. My only other suggestion would be to allow gift-givers to note for which event (shower? wedding?) they are purchasing the gift. In general, my husband and I were VERY pleased with the service. There are no "catches" and receiving your gifts ($) is very simple and convenient. Many of our friends and family complimented us on the unique and smart idea of using TJ. Thank you!

Traveler's Joy was a great way to register for our honeymoon and I would recommend it. I enjoyed that the site linked to my PayPal account, but you do have to wait 72 hours after your guest submits payment for it to reach your account. The site also takes a percentage of the gift, but again the convenience of linking to my PayPal and bank account was worth it. Easy to use and user friendly for the older crowd who wasn't as familiar with the idea.

This is a FABULOUS idea for those already living together - those who have all your pots and pans and other goodies! I registered at Target for some odds and ends we needed, but registered for our honeymoon at travelers joy. Now we will be able to go on the honeymoon of our dreams thanks to our wonderful family and friends!!!

My husband and I got married at 41 and 32, respectively. So with two full households and years of living on our own between us, we saw no need for a traditional registry and decided to go the route of asking our loved ones to contribute towards a once-in-a-lifetime honeymoon instead. It turned out GREAT. Travelers joy walks you through the whole process of setting up a site, personalizing it, and then sends notifications when things are purchased. They even have a link to a "Thank You" page for your registry so that you can thank each person for what they purchased, complete with their addresses! I can't say enough about how great Travelers Joy was, and I would recommend them highly to anyone.

We had a quick get away to San Diego right after the wedding and are saving up for a big trip to New Zealand later. Because of this wedding registry we our trip to Coronado Island was totally paid for by friends and we have a great nest egg for our next adventure. We didn't want stuff and the hassle of returning things we don't need. We try to live a simple, beautiful life and this registry really helped!

Traveler's Joy was so easy and fun for my guests to use - many commented on how much more excited they were purchasing scuba diving sessions than the typical blender or whatnot. ;)
Traveler's Joy was easy to use, both when setting it up and when collecting our money for the honeymoon of a lifetime. I did some research and it seems that TJ takes the lowest percentage of all honeymoon registry sights.

We used Traveler's Joy to support the perfect wedding gift - our honeymoon trip to Argentina. From large to small contributions we funded our whole trip and had an AMAZING time. We felt that experiences were more important than STUFF - and really got to spend quality time away with each other as honeymooners. I'd recommend this site to anyone - the navigation and notifications were easy, and I did my comparison shopping - Traveler's Joy came out on top in percentages and positive reviews. Overall a great experience.

My (now) husband and I really love to travel -- it's one of the key ways that we have grown as a couple -- so a honeymoon registry seemed like a natural choice for us. I'm so glad that we went with Traveler's Joy.
* The website is professional-looking
* Really easy to set up and add / take away items
* Easy to use for guests - easy to find, log in, and give a gift
* Very fast and easy notification and gift delivery
* Best fee structure vs. other honeymoon registries, but could be improved (see below)
Areas for improvement:
* Would really like more lay-outs for the overall website - particularly something that is customize-able for your wedding colors / theme
* I wish it had a flat membership fee rather than a percent of each gift
* I wish you could add actual items that you would use during your honeymoon (e.g., a camera, a backpack) rather than just adding a placeholder for these types of items. For example, an arrangement with a vendor like Amazon would enable you to add a camera and, once purchased, that same camera would be sent over. Currently, you would provide a description and amount and then you'd have to buy it yourself.
Overall, I would highly recommend having a honeymoon registry -- particularly if you like to travel and already have the basic things that a couple would need. I would also highly recommend Traveler's Joy as a registry for the reasons mentioned. We spent quite a bit of time researching all the different registries and are very happy that we chose Traveler's Joy.

I loved the fact that we could customize our own gift list and it was easy and accessible for all of our guests near or far. Plus it was really easy to link it to the rest of our viral information. I have recommended it to several friends who have up coming weddings.

This was a fast and easy idea for our guests to contribute to us. We live in North Carolina and guests are not as open to given cash gifts over material gifts. We were hopeful that we would receive higher funds, but I think Southern Wedding Hospitality is much different then hospitality up North. We loved the service, but we expected higher results in gifts.

Traveler's Joy is a WONDERFUL Honeymoon Registry service! They provide you with all the tools to create your own custom honeymoon website where guests can donate towards the trip of a lifetime. You can upload photos, create an itinerary, include excursions, dinners, airfare, accommodations, and even misc. items such as luggage and a camera in which guests can gift you money in order to fulfill your trips needs. We are a couple that does not desire a lot of "things". We have been together long enough to have acquired items like a toaster, blender, dishes, and flatware. We wanted an AMAZING vacation as a way to celebrate our new marriage but weren't sure we could afford it. Traveler's Joy made it possible for us to take a trip to Spain and Portugal and offered exciting gift choices for our family and friends to choose. We were able to think about our dear friends while on our vacation and come home without being in debt. It is a MUST for those who LOVE to travel and who just don' need another blender.

When it came time to create our registries, my husband and I knew we wanted to do a honeymoon registry of some sort. We had researched several but ended up going with Traveler's Joy because they don't charge your friends and families for giving you a gift. That was important to us. They do charge you a percentage of the gifts you received, but that is to be expected. It was easy to set up and we had fun creating the site together. When it came time to cash in our gifts, it was easy. We were able to send the gifts to our bank account so that we could purchase the things we needed to for our honeymoon and the money came in FAST, within two days. I definitely recommend this site if you are interested in doing a honeymoon registry.

My husband and I had been living together for a while when we got engaged, so we really didn't need much of the things you would find on a traditional registry, but we could really use some help making our honeymoon happen. This website was very user friendly, and people loved the idea of contributing to our special trip. We plan on sending pictures of the things people bought for us when we send our thank you's (pics of us zip lining or out to dinner, etc). The fees are low and we had an amazing honeymoon because of it!

My husband and I lived together before the wedding, so already had much of what was needed around the house. This was a great alternative to asking for money (tacky!)I got so many compliments on how unique of an idea it was and also how easy it was for guests to use. Between the website and the money we received, our honeymoon expenses- besides hotel and airfare- were paid for!

We already owned a house and lived together, so we did not need many more things for the house on a typical registry site. We had booked a luxurious two week cruise to the Mediterranean and really just wanted money to help afford it! This registry allowed people to give a "gift" that was tangible since people did not just want to give money, especially at the shower. This way we had a honeymoon themed shower and everyone donated to our trip which came to us as cash in the end! It was user friendly, our guests loved it, and we had no issues with it at all! The only downside is that they take 7% out of each gift, but all of the popular sites do this, and to us this was better than getting some china or silverware that we didn't need anyway. We're happy with our experience!

My husband and I had already been legally married for 2 years before we had our ceremony a few weeks back and since we already had the household essentials, a friend had recommended using a honeymoon registry instead since we hadn't gone on a honeymoon yet.
Setting up, customizing and finally getting our money from our registry was very easy and was pleased with the service. There is a 7% service fee for using Traveler's Joy but it's the best deal you can find (others charge up to 10%!)
Would definitely recommend to others considering a honeymoon registry!
