The Tallest Tulip is a florist that provides floral design services for weddings and events. Working with their clients, the team helps to bring the visual ideas you have for your wedding to life. Artistic and creative, as well as deeply professional, the florists love transforming spaces to suit your occasion’s theme.
Ashley Wallace is the owner of The Tallest Tulip. She runs the company along with her team: Susan Noland (Lead Designer), Emily Bridges (Operations Coordinator), and Lauren Leonetti (Events Assistant). Ashley, the owner, holds a certification from the American Institute of Floral Designers, along with completing a number of other courses. She is also a member of the Texas State Florists’ Association. The idea of starting the company began when she lived in New York City where she passed a flower shop every day. Those petals and stems behind a shop window's glass are where her own dream first bloomed.
The Tallest Tulip not only provides the basics, such as bouquets and boutonnieres but also whole installations and designs. This can include elements other than flowers, such as vases, lanterns, and additional rental items. Delivery and setup are included in their full-scope package, alleviating some of your wedding-coordination stress. In order to give each couple acute attention to their floral-design needs, the team only takes on a select number of weddings a year.

A little more about me. I live in Sienna Plantation in Missouri City, TX with my wonderful husband Jim, daughter Charlotte, son James and our adorable dog Anabelle. I have a Bachelor’s in Corporate Communications from The University of Texas at Austin. After college, I moved to New York with my best friend Kristin . Every day I walked by a flower shop in our Upper East Side neighborhood on my way to the subway. As I stopped there each morning to gaze into the windows full of tulips, peonies and daffodils, my dream was born.

We loved working with the Tallest Tulip! I love flowers, so having an excellent florist was important to me and Ashley did AMAZING! I shared a Pinterest board with her and she made it come to life! She was also super helpful in coming up with design options for a few areas where I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted. The florals from Tallest Tulip made our wedding day feel like a dream!

The Tallest Tulip was the most communicative vendor that I booked; I absolutely loved how we had intermittent check-ins and design calls! They understood my vision right away and even offered ideas for things I hadn't thought about. They were very reasonably priced and even worked with me for solutions on how to stay within my budget. Overall, they delivered the most amazing flowers and decorations, and I knew I didn't have to worry about anything! They were the sweetest people to work with!

Lauren and her team did an amazing job with our wedding flowers! Throughout the wedding planning process, they were very responsive, provided lots of flexibility, and gave us reasonable prices. We provided inspiration photos for the bouquets, and the final product looked almost identical to the inspiration pics. Our flowers were beautiful and the process was easy. Definitely recommend The Tallest Tulip!

Ashley took my ideas for our wedding and made them easily come true. Our flowers perfectly complemented our venue, Nouveau with all its Tiffany-inspired lamps, and just added to its beauty. The bouquets, boutonnières, and flowers for the cake were absolutely perfect. Honestly, everything was just stunning. I’ve decided I needed bridal portraits and I’m getting a duplicate bouquet made because I’ve got to have my pictures with it! Can’t recommend them enough.

We could not have asked for anything more in a florist! Ashley and the entire Tallest Tulip team were beyond fantastic with our wedding floral design from start to finish. Our flowers were beyond what I could have imagined and I am still swooning over my bouquet. Ashley and my now husband Mike put together a fun surprise for me, too. We loved working with Ashley and her team for my daughter's big, magical Houston wedding at The Astorian. She had great ideas from the start and handled every detail related to floral and decor with such professionalism and creativity. Honestly, we never worried about it all coming together once we hired Ashley...we relied on her experience and creative talents to help pull everything together as envisioned by the Bride, groom, Mother and Step-Mother of the Bride.
We loved how she knew all the right questions to ask to achieve our vibe and vision. Her experience from handling previous weddings at the Astorian was on point for knowing how to create a unique, elegant floral and decor plan that literally made the wedding and reception absolutely magical. We also loved that her inventory of decor items helped us get so many additional items and details checked off our list. Ashley has such a sunny, enthusiastic energy, and we absolutely loved every aspect of working with her. She's a pro at taking a vision and executing it to perfection. The florals were important to me but we didn't want to go overboard with the budget, and I could not have been happier with how things turned out!!! They did a great job of adjusting my vision to fit the budget and create absolutely gorgeous centerpieces. It was amazing, I gave them some inspo pics and they made my ideal bridal bouquet that I was just so happy with!!! 10/10 recommend!!!

If you’re looking for an extremely talented florist, but also one of the kindest people, you MUST hire Ashley and her team. My husband and I hired Ashley for our March 2023 wedding, and it was one of the best decisions we made. Ashley listened to my vision and created an even more beautiful design than what I imagined. The Tallest Tulip went above and beyond for our special day! Our flowers were absolutely stunning and received so many compliments. They listened to and executed our vision flawlessly, and were so pleasant and responsive to work with throughout the planning process. We had a great experience with The Tallest Tulip for our wedding back in Feb 2022. I met w/ Susan in person to look at the flowers to get an idea what I would like for our wedding. It was a nice experience to see what was in season, the different options and colors. They had beautiful floral options: peonies, ranunculus, etc.. for our bouquets. They also were able to create a fallen floral piece for the mantle at our venue that I had wanted. We were able to re-use it for our table. They were basically able to design exactly what we wanted and put together a beautiful color palette. Everything went smooth with set up and we were super happy with the team! Our guests loved the floral and we got many compliments.

The Tallest Tulip was a dream to work with! I worked with Susan to figure out exactly what I wanted for our flowers, and she and the team were nothing short of amazing. I knew of a few flowers that I thought I wanted to use, and had seen a few bouquets on Pinterest that I liked, but definitely needed a lot of guidance in the process. Susan was so patient, and walked me through the best options, even adding in some boutonnieres at the last minute when we added some people to the wedding party. The flowers turned out incredible, and I am so happy I chose this company!! They are all so sweet and I can’t say enough good things about them!

My husband and I absolutely hit the jackpot with our florist, The Tallest Tulip. Ashley and her team were incredible to work with. She listened, understood and executed all our desires. I will never forget the feeling I had when I walked into our ceremony and reception space – I was in disbelief of how absolutely perfect everything was. It was exactly what we had dreamed of!!! My husband and I kept asking each other “Is this really ours?!” as we walked through the reception space before our guests came in from cocktail hour. My face had a permanent smile that entire night and that is partly due to The Tallest Tulip’s incredible work. I was recommended to The Tallest Tulip by a friend and my MIL. Turned out to be one of my best decision. My floral budget was pretty moderate, even on the low end I would say and Ashley nad her team literally blew me away! It was so beautiful and exactly what I was expecting. What I think is better is the team really tried to understand your vision by looking at your pinterest board having a ton of previous weddings and portfolios on their website that you can grab inspo from as well. Working with them was an amazing experience!

The best of the best! Ashley and the team were just the nicest people! We talked through my endless inspiration photos and created the most beautiful color scheme. The bouquet they created for my bridal photos got so many compliments from friends! They checked in closer to our wedding to double check numbers - which I really appreciated! I made a few changes throughout the planning process and they were responsive and sweet about it! Even with last minute changes like me wanting to add a bouquet charm - they were able to accommodate. The moment my husband and I saw the venue and the tables decked out we were just over the moon. We were even getting photos while on our honeymoon from family and friends who had taken centerpieces home. They complimented us on how beautiful the arrangements looked days later. It was so great to work with The Tallest Tulip for my wedding florals! I didn't have a super clear vision, but I knew I wanted to add some COLOR to my venue which is painted bright white. I also knew I wanted to do something different than just classic arrangements. The team at Tallest Tulip was not just accommodating of my non-traditional ideas, they were excited about them! I found the Tallest Tulip on Instagram and instantly fell in love with their creative arrangements. After my first video conference with Ashley I knew I found my floral vendor! Ashley and her team took my Pinterest inspiration photos (and indecisiveness) and me helped navigate my vision to reality! From video calls, many (MANY) emails and texts, visiting the floral market together, to the actual day of, I felt so secure and taken care of. It also helps that they are the sweetest group ever! I didn’t plan on having a ton of flowers at my wedding, so The Tallest Tulip was perfect because they have an a la carte menu. Ashley was so helpful and ever stayed to help set up some of the garland and whatnot, even though it wasn’t part of our agreement. I really, REALLY appreciated that. I had the best experience working with Ashley! She was so on top of everything, even when my wedding got changed over and over due to Covid! She invited me to go to the flower market and I got to pick out my favorite flowers and she really blew me away with all the arrangements. She even gave me a bouquet for my covid wedding! We clicked with Ashley from the first conversation, and frankly did not feel the need to interview other florists. She understood our vision (or more specifically lack thereof), and got it that we wanted a simple but elegant presentation. She worked creatively with our budget, and there were no surprises. Ashley and lead designer, Susan, executed each step as promised in their proposal - and there were some demanding time requirements to transport arrangements from the church to the reception and convert in less than an hour - and never caused a worry. We recommend highly and give them a top rating.

Ashley did an incredible job with our florals! From our first conversation to the wedding day, we was so helpful and gracious, even with all of the COVID changes. She made an amazing floral hoop for our backdrop and lined our aisle with greenery and votives. It was such a dream! The centerpieces for our tables were stunning and so were the bouquets.
