We were married on 1.19.20 and Charlie was wonderful! He was quick to respond, gave us ideas/inspiration, and our ceremony was lovely. He was funny, kind, and, charming. We're so happy he officiated our wedding!

We got married on 08.08.2019. It was a small ceremony and that was what we meant. We wanted a fast deadline and nobody answered my phone. I wrote to Charlie and got a quick reply. We planned the wedding date the same day! Charlie is a very nice and competent person. We are very happy that he gave us the wedding.

Charlie was our officiant 5.17.19. We were blown away with the personal ceremony. We met him just hours before I do yet during the ceremony it felt as if we knew him forever. I found his voice calming as we were standing in front of 180 people saying our vows. He was very professional. I would recommend Charlie time and time again!

I hired Charlie for a non-religious ceremony (10/20/18) in Philadelphia. I was initially drawn to his personal statement on his website, and to his humble nature, both in name and personality. Charlie was professional and accommodating throughout the process; and while he was willing to meet with us in advance, I opted to communicate with him strictly via email. He promptly answered questions and provided sample ceremonies and readings to help guide us in drawing up our own ceremony. All in all, he was very professional and enjoyable to work with!

Charlie made our wedding so special. He was great to work with. We couldn't make our schedules work to actually sit down with him, so he discussed everything over email and phone with the groom. Charlie provided a few sample scripts and we got to edit them and make them work best for us. He was very flexible with last minute changes. And despite not having met either of us until the day of the wedding, he was so personable and during the ceremony connected with both of us. He was professional in every way and I'm so glad he was a part of our day.

Charlie officiated our mid-January wedding, and we have nothing but wonderful things to say about him. He was so easy to work with, and very flexible about accommodating our particular ceremony. He responded quickly, was very patient about our questions, and made the process of drafting our ceremony a breeze. Our ceremony wound up exactly the way we wanted it, due to his guidance and performance. Highly recommended!

Charlie did a great job on our 3.18.18 wedding day! We had many conversations via email, but didn't meet until the day of, and even though we had met him just moments before the ceremony, he was so comforting! After 34 years together, we decided to get married! Finding Charlie online was the most fortuitous thing that could have happened and he made our wedding day reflect perfectly who we are. We wanted a simple, secular ceremony with a few close friends in attendance. Charlie responded immediately to every question we had, made wonderful suggestions for how our extremely non-traditional wedding should proceed, and put us completely at ease with every little detail. I feel very lucky that Charlie was a part of our big day. He was responsive to questions, pleasant to work with, and he has a great speaking voice. I was a little nervous about standing and stating my vows in front of a large group of people, but he calmed my nerves and walked me through it. Charlie is one of the first wedding vendors that I booked and I am still so glad to have made that decision! Charlie was amazing. We changed our date, time and location at least 4..5 times. He accommodated every request we had, every time :) At some point I was embarrassed to call and inform him that we changed everything...again. Every time he was kind, understanding and helpful. Charlie was so easy to work with throughout the whole process. We were able to customize the ceremony so it was exactly what we wanted and Charlie was able to give suggestions yet allowed us to make all of the decisions. My husband and I come from religious backgrounds but are not religious personally so it was important to find someone who was both professional and communicated the importance of a marriage without having to include religion. Two weeks before our wedding, our original officiant backed out due to personal reasons. After seeing Charlie's profile on the Knot, we decided to reach out to him to see if he was available at the last minute. HE WAS!!! Everything went very smoothly. After emailing back and forth, we finally met Charlie the day of our wedding. No one ever knew that this was a last minute change and everything went off without a hitch. We are so grateful that Charlie was able to do our ceremony. It was simple, yet elegant. I would definitely recommend him as an officiant. He made a disaster into a dream.

I was a tad hesitant to book Charlie for my wedding. I was about 200 miles away from both him and my wedding venue when I contacted him first, so I was concerned about how the planning would work out. Being so far away, I didn't have an opportunity to meet with Charlie beforehand, but I called him over the phone the day before just to double check on details and directions which he was happy to do. But regardless of all that, I was so incredibly happy with how it all worked out! I planned out the entirety of my wedding mainly on my own, and after the hassle of dealing with caterers, strange practices for renting venues and everything else, Charlie was so easy to work with, and so nice! We communicated mainly through email which was a great help to me. He sent me examples of his ceremony, and was extremely accommodating of the changes I added to it. My husband and I have a wide variety of friends and family with different beliefs, and Charlie's ceremony was very sweet and touching, without overly favoring one religion over another - which is exactly what we were looking for! And the ceremony was fantastic - Charlie gave us a few cues to keep things rolling along, but it was the perfect length, and everything worked out wonderfully! If you're looking for a simple, low-key, and heartfelt -but still classy- ceremony, Charlie is the way to go! I highly recommend him!

Charlie married us last weekend and he was great! We wanted a short non-denominational ceremony, since neither of us are religious, and it was perfect. We were not able to have a rehearsal, so we were a little nervous, but Charlie guided us through flawlessly and no one knew that we were winging it. Overall, he's a great guy that doesn't try and steal the spotlight.

My husband and I were looking for someone to proside over our wedding, which had to be non-denominational because he is Jewish and I am Lutheran. We were so lucky to find Charlie Cooper- from the first time we met him he did a fantastic job of putting us at ease, and we knew he was the right pick. On your wedding day you are so full of nerves, you really want a friendly face who knows what they're doing to be up there with you. Charlie was there early, he let us know what to do and when, and he even read the reading we had chosen with meaning, which meant a lot to my husband and I as we stood in front of our family and friends. He was really fantastic, I would highly recommend him!

We had Charlie as the officiant in our wedding and he was great. My only complaint is that I wish he had been able to be more helpful in the planning of our ceremony. He sent us a list of his favorite ceremonies/readings for us to look through and thats it. It was very easy working with him, though. All we had to do was email a copy of the ceremony and/or readings that we wanted and no meeting was neccessary. We did meet with him once and he was right, it was completely unneccessary.

We met with him briefly and liked him immediately. He sent us some readings and ceremony templates and from that we crafted our own personalized ceremony. My husband and I were planning a Philadelphia wedding from over an hour away. We took off from work and planned a day full of vendors in the city...one of which was to meet Charlie so he could get to know us. We waited out our pre-determined meeting stop for over an hour and called him tons of times while we waited. Not only did he not answer his phone or show to the appointment, but he didn't call us for days before calling to say he simply forgot. This was 3 months before our wedding. Thankfully, it all worked out and we ended up with a wonderful pastor, but if you savor your piece of mind, I would NOT recommend Humbleman.
