JK served as both our ceremony MC and reception DJ. Arriving early to set up, he ensured everything was ready. I didn't even see him until I walked down the aisle! Everything was ready perfectly. In the lead-up to our big day, JK's guidance was invaluable. During our planning meeting 1 month before the wedding, he helped us solidify timelines, select music, and plan entertainment, leaving us feeling entirely at ease. Thanks to his meticulous preparation, I enjoyed my special day without stress! His humor and charisma kept the atmosphere lively, ensuring everyone had a fun time. All of our guests loved our shoe game! JK has a good sense of humor. Even before we opened the dance floor, everyone danced and had so much fun with his great music choice. JK isn't just a talented MC and DJ – he's a wedding-day hero who goes above and beyond to ensure a flawless experience. After months of planning and deliberately managing all the factors - whether it be between families, money/budget, vendors, prizes, favors, dances, music (just for you Jimmy), and all the other little things... it surprisingly came to an end in an instant, almost like a blurry dream. In hindsight, I think the biggest stresses were from the ones you know you can't fix, like if the music will cue correctly or if all the attendees will arrive on time. That being said, meeting Jimmy was THE BIGGEST relief because he literally filled in all the gaps. This speaks volumes on his level of professionalism, ability to adapt (experience), and his passion for doing what he loves. I would say the best way to help Jimmy make your wedding/event to your liking is by just showing who you are/what you want, and he'll know what to do. We had several meetings prior to the wedding, and the very last meeting (about 2-3 weeks beforehand) was the most crucial and relieving. Thanks to my diligent wife, having a schedule really helped the critical people (Photographer, Planner, MC/DJ, Florist) all be on the same page so things can run as smoothly as possible. He reassured us, and we let it go (or to the best we could). In fact, almost all of our wedding party ran late due to issues at the nearby AirBnB we booked. This led to delays driving to the venue, and 5-10 minutes when we arrived I had to start walking down the aisle.. We had no idea if the venue was ready or not, and I was so nervous and out-of-mind because Jimmy and I didn't have any time to discuss nor rehearse last minute! Yet, he literally saved the day. I sincerely, truly, thank you. *My own advices - (1) Try to get a wedding planner - for both your sanity, (2) prep a detailed schedule, (3) try to have the venue the longer the better (Depending on the schedule but I'd say 4-5 hours), (4) and definitely TRY to be in the moment.* Whenever I love the service provided I always accommodate by ending off with a recommendation, and to anyone reading this.. I can CONFIDENTLY say you'd be a fool if you decided to pass Jimmy up. Thank you for everything again and hopefully we can meet again soon!!

I had a great experience with Jimmy Koh the owner of JK Entertainment. I wanted a Korean American DJ/MC because my parents were Korean speaking only so I needed both languages spoken during my wedding. He was thorough from planning to the end.

We can't really speak about his DJ and wedding planning services because we only hired Jimmy as the bilingual MC as our venue had an in house DJ, but I'm sure his wedding service is also great because of all the five star reviews as you can see below! We had a zoom meeting a couple months prior to the wedding where he would give us pointers about the wedding and had our final zoom meeting with our in house DJ approximately one month before the wedding which was all so helpful. I also reached out to him for any questions along the way and he was very communicative. He really made our wedding special by being funny and accommodating to our needs on the wedding day. Backed by years of experience in the industry, you can trust him to have the wedding go smoothly. Really enjoyed having him as our MC and would recommend to anyone on the fence about hiring him. I am originally from LA but moved to DC a few years ago and met my now husband. But as most Korean families, we had our wedding in DC however my parents wanted a 2nd wedding reception in LA for all my west coast connections. Planning happened in nearly 2 months right after my DC wedding and it was truly stressful esp because my family couldn't locate a bilingual dj/emcee especially during Thanksgiving weekend -- luckily Jimmy came to the rescue, and we were truly blown away. His organization, professionalism, attention to detail, empathy to ensure the family gets what they need, & his ability to interact with younger and older generations was what saved our event. If you need someone who is flexible, makes you feel comfortable, and is truly skilled you can't go wrong with Jimmy and his team. Thank you again so much!

We saw Jimmy performed as a DJ/MC for one of our friends wedding and immediately knew that we need to book Jimmy for our wedding. Though Jimmy had moved to California at the time, he still went above and beyond and travel back to Texas for our wedding. Jimmy took the time to understand what we wanted to have and guided us through the details that we couldn’t possibly think of. Jimmy worked with us on several zoom calls to reassure us and make sure everything goes according to plan on the wedding day. Honestly a lot of folks wanted a band for their wedding, but for us, a DJ/MC like Jimmy is all we needed and all our guests had a great time. I would recommend Jimmy again for anyone’s wedding.

Jimmy and Co were super awesome! They were responsive, super easygoing, positive, punctual, energetic, professional, and helpful. They made the whole planning really great! Jimmy played all the songs we wanted to hear at our wedding, and he helped translate for our Korean guests. The photobooth was great too! Everyone had a great time!

Jimmy and Sophia did a fantastic job at our wedding reception and I am so glad we hired them. We had a small wedding and a shy crowd, but Jimmy and Sophia were able to come up with easy to follow games and great music to make the entire night really really fun. We were lucky to select Jimmy to be our wedding DJ/MC. To put it simply, working with him was very pleasant throughout the entire process, and he really took care of us during our special day. He's a very kind person who cares about his clients and his job. Always smiling. Always quick to give his input in a gentle manner. We had no problems with him during the preparation phase. On the day of the wedding, he worked seamlessly with our officiant and wedding coordinator to set things up and make small adjustments on the fly. We really wanted a wedding that felt warm and fun, and Jimmy played his part to perfection. As an added bonus, his Korean/English bilingual ability really shined. It never felt awkward to hear him speak to everyone in both languages. He's just great at what he does! Because of how small our wedding was and because we didn't have a dance floor (my husband and I aren't big dancers), we were afraid that our reception would be super awkward. In addition, since we had already gotten legally married, we didn't want a traditional pastor; instead, we wanted to have an "officiant-less" wedding ceremony where an MC leads us through the ceremony. Jimmy was able to handle everything perfectly. During our ceremony, Jimmy smoothly handled both the music and guiding us through each step of the program. Without him, we would've been lost because were so nervous, we forgot the order of everything! During the reception, Jimmy managed to bring out a lot of energy and excitement with his singing and crowd management skills. He kept the planned agenda flexible, and when he felt the energy dying down, he bumped up one of our games to keep everyone engaged and in the room. This was all on top of providing constant Korean-English translation since many of my guests didn't speak English. Jimmy was the best, and I highly recommend him!

I don't usually write a yelp review but Jimmy was AMAZING!!! Our wedding was 5.12.2022 on a weekday! He choice of music was fantastic and he MC skill is so smooth!! His singing for our wedding was so beautiful that almost made us cry. Our family and friends enjoyed so much on our wedding and everyone can't stop talking about how lucky that we had him as our MC. I am very grateful that he came for our wedding and MC for us!!! He absolutely made our day more than special!!! Highly recommend him to our friends and family!!!

Jimmy is a dream DJ/MC! He was such a pleasure to work with and he is very kind, professional, and accommodating. He made our wedding so special and even spoke in English and Korean to make our celebration bilingual by request :) He is a perfect host and I would recommend him to anyone! Jimmy was phenomenal at hosting our wedding event in Dallas on October 17, 2021. He was everything that you could want in an MC/DJ and went above and beyond to ensure a memorable ceremony that lasts not only in the minds of my wife and I, but also of those of the wedding guests. I quote one of the wedding guests in saying that "it was the best wedding ceremony" he had ever attended. Another wedding guest continues to replay the events of the wedding in conversation with others and me due to how much fun he had. All this is to give credit where credit is due to Jimmy. He bilingual in Korean (very helpful for the parents/guests that flew in) and English and moves the wedding along at an even pace so no part feels dull, or too much time is spend unnecessarily on one spot. And if some things don't go according to plan (as is inevitable with any wedding), Jimmy is able to go with the flow and use that advantageously and in a way where no one would suspect that there was a mishap. He is highly professional, prepares ahead of time, allows for guests suggestions and is strongly entertaining. I highly recommend him, and you will not be disappointed!

We couldn't have picked a better MC/DJ for our wedding. Jimmy was one of the best vendors we hired for our wedding. His fee was higher for our very tight budget, but it was WORTH EVERY PENNY. Our guests were a tough crowd, but Jimmy was able to make them laugh and dance like crazy. They are still raving about how fun and beautiful our wedding was and we owe a lot of that to Jimmy. I added more details below. Jimmy was very professional and friendly. He was more than a MC/ DJ to us. We didn’t have a wedding planner and it was our first wedding. So, we were clueless. On top of that, our wedding was a destination wedding, and also a multicultural one, which added multiple layers of challenges when planning. But, luckily we found Jimmy from our photographer(YoungB), which was amazing, too. Jimmy had so much experience and knowledge in different types of weddings from his decade long experience and provided us with guidance every step of the way. He was always available for us and helped ease all the worries we had and worked with us to make our wedding day the best day possible. Jimmy knows how to entertain and engage audiences and he can bring them to the dance floor! We were in our 40s. So, our guests were mostly “older” Asians. It was a tough crowd as most of them were quiet, shy, and some were even uptight (our relatives). I warned Jimmy that probably we shouldn't play dance music as no one would dance. Jimmy said that leave it up to him. Then, a miracle happened. Jimmy was able to bring up the energy and made my friends show off their crazy dance moves that they never showed us before, not even in our clubbing days! Jimmy also engaged them in different fun games. His comments and jokes were so witty that everyone was non-stop laughing during the reception. Many people came up to us during and after our wedding to let us know how awesome Jimmy was. If you have a tough crowd, you should hire Jimmy. You won’t regret it. Jimmy was a rare Asian DJ/MC in the Dallas area if he is not the only one. It was very important for us to hire asian DJ/ MC as most of our guests were asians and we wanted our DJ/Mc to be familiar with our guests' cultural backgrounds. Without a good understanding of it, it would be hard to entertain them. Jimmy’s jokes and wits were very clever and well received by our guests, who were mostly from China, Korea, and Vietnam. It doesn’t mean that our american, European guests enjoyed it less. They laughed so hard and bore tears. Another big plus for us was Jimmy's bilingual skill. He can speak fluent Korean and english. That helped our non english speaking family from korea enjoy the wedding as equally as others. Jimmy is a DJ/MC who can sing. He probably could have made a big career just with his singing if he wanted to. He started our reception with his singing and mesmerized our guests. In the beginning we were debating between a live band and DJ/MC. But with Jimmy, it was like we had a live band, DJ and MC. Best deal ever.

This is such an overdue review for JK Wedding Events! I had my wedding in July 2021 in Los Angeles after two postponements during the uncertain Covid times. Despite such stressful times, wedding planner Rachel was so understanding and she was very professional in making sure that everything was going to plan. She constantly communicated with our venue and other vendors, and I honestly don't think I could have done it without her. JK was also such a great MC for the wedding. I received so many compliments from the guests on how organized and fun the wedding was! I am so glad that I found JK and his team. You really need a trustworthy and efficient wedding planning team like JK's to make sure your wedding is beautiful and look back and feel that it was a truly memorable experience. We hired Jimmy and DJ Swan from JK Wedding Events for our DJ, MC, Lighting and Photobooth services at our wedding. We were really satisfied with the end results and had an amazing time working with Jimmy and his team! Jimmy always responded to our emails really quickly and he knew exactly what we were looking for. He is also an AMAZING singer and MC! The crowds love him! :) DJ Swan was also super great and nice to work with! We had requested both American pop music and K-pop music due to our audience demographics, and he did great at mixing both genres and reading the crowd to ensure that everyone is having a great time! When reviewing our music sheet prior to the wedding, he also pointed out things that we should be aware of so we really appreciated that. The photobooth services were very streamlined and easy to set up as well! Overall, we really appreciated the fact that we were able to do a package to include so many services, which was super valuable and convenient!

I first met Jimmy and his team at one of my best friends' wedding and was AMAZED at his vocal and his bilingual MC skills making the whole reception so smooth AND fun. Since then, I always had JK Wedding Events in my mind and without any hesitation I decided to contact Jimmy for my own wedding! Our wedding got postponed due to pandemic but Jimmy kept our contract the same and helped us plan our wedding during the entire time. I didn't have a planner or a coordinator which could be very frustrating, but Jimmy guided me through out the planning with his expertise. Our ceremony without an officiant ran perfectly, thanks to Jimmy! He even came to our rehearsal to guide us. Super easy to communicate and he is the BEST bilingual Korean American MC I can ask for. Jimmy at JK Wedding Events was amazing DJ/MC at my wedding. They were flexible during the planning process, especially when I had changes up to couple days before my wedding. During the wedding, not only did they execute all the songs smoothly for flawless transitions but they also had great sense of humor not only as MC but also as the DJ played sounds during reception to make the crowd laugh and have a good time. We hired JK Wedding Events for MC, DJ, and complete Planning service. I had to plan my wedding from the other side of the country so having Rachel to guide me was the best decision I made in the whole wedding process. These guys are professionals and I was extremely satisfied, happy, and felt assured on my wedding day as these guys made the whole process so smooth, effortless, and beautiful. Jimmy is truly a unique MC, DJ, and a singer. Rachel attends to details and is always so calm, thorough, supportive even in your moments of panic/doubt/brideZilla. I really had NOTHING to worry about when the morning came because JKWE took care of it all and all I had to do was smile and enjoy. I hope to get married only once, but if I had to do any more weddings, events, or birthdays, I would hire these guys again in a heartbeat regardless of costs (they are actually really reasonable). What I appreciated even more was from JK was that Jimmy (DJ) was bilingual (Korean and English) and Sophia (MC) was bilingual (Chinese and English) and they both can really sing well! They were the best help as the wedding is a stressful already. Rachel, our wedding coordinator, was amazing and was the most professional and thoughtful person to work with. They truly made the hectic day less hectic and helped us celebrate our special day. Would HIGHLY recommend them.

Jimmy was our MC/DJ at our wedding this past weekend at Calamigos Equestrian, Los Angeles and he made sure the night went exactly as planned. He started off the night by showcasing his amazing singing ability, which grabbed our guests' attention. Then he introduced the wedding party with great enthusiasm. He played just the type of music we requested! We especially appreciated the fact that he is fluent in both Korean and English. We wanted to hold a Korean-American wedding and he was the perfect MC for that. The most memorable part of the night was our first dance. During our first dance, he encouraged our guests to hold up their cell phones and shine the cell phone light (similar to what you see at concerts). All of our guests participated and that really set the mood! Oh, we also got the photobooth! Overall, Jimmy was a pleasure to interact with throughout the planning process. We highly recommend JK Entertainment!

I had initially shopped around and potentially hired another company but came across these guys that had the whole package that I was looking for; emcee, DJ, coordinator, and photo booth! We also got our names on the gobo light projector and the wall colored lights that correlated with the music~ so you can just imagine; our wedding day was nothing but perfection! Not only did they make my life easier by providing literally everything that I needed, but they had the best rates/deal! Our coordinator, Rachel, was hired for the month of but she actually contacted me two months prior. She is very thorough, organized, and friendly with cheerful energy. She was so easy to work with and guided me every step of the way! Jimmy was an awesome bilingual emcee and really entertained the crowd. Everyone did a fantastic job and our big day wouldn't have been the same without them.

A short backstory - I'm Chinese and my now-husband is Korean. Two different languages, two different cultures, one wedding. We needed someone who could MC in Korean, Cantonese, and English. That's when we found Jimmy. We first met Jimmy at a friend's wedding where he was the MC. We thought he did such a fantastic job at our friend's wedding. We decided to meet with him and see what he was like. Jimmy was so friendly and approachable. He understood our needs and suggested that we have a Cantonese MC, him as the DJ as well as providing translations in Korean. His services also included lighting and photobooth. We ended up hiring Jimmy as well as a small ambient lighting package and the photobooth for the wedding. We almost didn't have a Cantonese MC as the original MC turned out to not be available. However, Jimmy was able to find someone else and we were thrilled. Jimmy made it worked for us! Throughout the months, we emailed back and forth with Jimmy with our choices of songs for the wedding. He was prompt with his responses and gave us his thoughts and suggestions. Jimmy worked well with us in giving us what we wanted even though the song choices weren't your typical wedding songs. Overall, Jimmy was awesome to work with. We're so glad we went with his services because he and the Cantonese MC were able to make the night special and include everyone despite the language barriers.

Jimmy is the ideal MC/DJ that I was looking for and I am so happy we hired him. He brought so much fun and laughter at my wedding and made everyone so happy. A lot of my guests were still telling me how much they love Jimmy's performance two weeks after the wedding. The communication with him leading up to the wedding was also smooth. I managed to put down my preference of songs and games on his worksheet and he handled them very well. If you want to find someone who is experienced, fun, and easy to work with you should hire Jimmy!!

Jimmy was extremely helpful, efficient and most importantly fun to work with. There were two things that were important to us as a couple when looking for a DJ/MC: 1) Ability to MC in English and Korean. As a Korean American couple we wanted to cater to both languages without it being too awkward. Jimmy did a great job at ensuring that everyone had fun 2) Efficiency! We're a couple living in NYC but my husband is from LA so we wanted to do our wedding in the SoCal area. If I had to choose the best decision I made for my wedding, I would say hands down it has to be hiring JK Wedding Events. My husband and I got married just a few weeks ago, so all the compliments of my wedding are still fresh in my mind. Almost all of the compliments from the guests were that our wedding was the most fun and joyous wedding they have been to. I believe this goes down to having Jimmy MC our wedding so smoothly. What I loved about his service, is he is not just a DJ, but he orchestrates all your wedding events very well, leaving no room for dull pauses. Even while guests were waiting to go get food for the buffet, he was going around having them compete for prizes. He is really involved in making sure everything runs smoothly, with humor and a great personality. There was so much going on during my wedding, Jimmy gave me the peace of mind of taking care of the events that I wanted, and making sure that they went down without a hitch. He is also a great singer, and before our first dance, sang beautifully before all our guests. I was shocked, as were most of the guests, at how great he sang live. The one thing I do recommend is to go with the uplighting. At first I was skeptical, because with the wedding, I tried to save on what I could. However, he did a wonderful job at making the inside of the church reception go from plain walls to have a pretty wedding look, and then they moved all the uplighting outside for dancing, with colored flashing lights to the music. It was really beautiful, and made for great pictures. I would say, for a wedding, it's a must. I'm just really thankful that we had a wedding better than what we imagined, and I believe Jimmy is to thank for this. He's such a great person, takes his time with you to make sure everything is covered before the wedding, and knows exactly what he is doing, so you don't have to worry the day of your wedding. **Also, just a tip. I would try to hire him sooner than later for your wedding, because we he seems to be popular. I am fortunate he was free for our wedding, but he almost had another wedding to attend on my date!**

I had great pleasure having JK Wedding Ent. (Jimmy) as my MC for my wedding recently. I believe JK is the #1 one stop MC + Dj directory you'll only need for any events. As I was planning my own wedding I've learned how important music, timeline, and especially pleasing all of our guests were until Jimmy took me on a one on one tour! Truly amazing! During my wedding we did have a little bump and right when I was about to freak out.. Jimmy came to rescue and totally saved the day for us! Well experienced and knows exactly what to do when things start to look rough! (thank you) As a detailed individual myself I was lucky to write down literally all the songs I wanted the Dj to place during our reception... we got just that! Perfect! (Future Bride & Groom... as long you know know exactly what you want and don't want..you'll be fine.. just make clear for the MC & DJ... they actually take it all in and play it out very well!) May I add... Jimmy does sing very well. Most of my guests thought he was lip syncing! ... but he wasn't!!! CRAZY! ^_^ For any events I highly recommend JK WEDDING ENT. Jimmy and Yoomin made a perfect team together! We hired them as MC/DJ/month-of coordinator for our wedding in La Jolla, and we couldn’t ask for more. Jimmy and Yoomin are such a friendly and professional couple. Jimmy is a humorous MC, a fantastic DJ and a great singer at the same time. He kept the crowd engaged and entertained throughout the night without any downtime. He even sang a wonderful song as a prelude to our grand entrance. How lovely! He listened to what we had in mind in terms of the music and MC service before the wedding, and he made sure to execute our requests along the way. Personally, I can’t thank him enough for translating my Dad’s Korean toast to English in real time using his bilingual ability. Yoomin is a thoughtful coordinator. I had countless conversations in a couple of weeks prior, and she never ceased to make me satisfied with my decision to go with her. Yoomin is responsive, detail-oriented, creative, and so trustworthy that I was able to count on her 100%. Throughout the process, she actively suggested what can be done better to make the whole wedding go smoothly, and every single one of her ideas was so insightful. Also, at our wedding, Yoomin and her whole team were wearing a uniform with a name tag on, and we loved it. They looked so professional and made it easier to spot them when we need them. It almost felt like I had my own bodyguards whom I can truly rely on lol. Thank you - Jimmy, Yoomin, and the whole JK team for helping us achieve the vision for our wedding!

Hiring Jimmy & his team for our wedding was one of the best decisions we made! I have read many reviews that you need a good MC for a successful & fun wedding. I have been to many boring weddings & boring was the last thing I wanted for our wedding. Therefore I had a few criterias when booking our MC & DJ. 1) They had to be BILINGUAL (Korean & English) bc most of our guests preferred English but we also had older adults who preferred Korean. 2) GOOD REVIEWS. The last thing I wanted was to be stressed with our vendors. I wanted someone who I can trust and not worry based on reviews from others. 3) TALENT. There are people that are just good on stage and can wow the audience. Unfortunately my now husband & I are not these type of people. Therefore, we needed someone else to do the work... hahaha. 4) DJ that can accomodate our song choices & keep our guests engaged. Jimmy & his staff at JK Weddings met my criterias & went above and beyond. 1) Jimmy spoke English & Korean flawlessly. He went back and forth so naturally. Everyone was able to understand and follow him. He just spoke so gracefully in both languages which was a huge plus for us. 2) Jimmy & JK Weddings has many amazing reviews on Yelp and other wedding websites that gave me the confidence to just go with them. I knew that if we were to hire him I could just trust him and that our wedding will be great. And honestly our wedding was nothing short of amazing. I never thought we would have so much fun at our own wedding. And all my friends have been telling me that it was one of the best weddings they have ever been to... and that says A LOT. Plus Jimmy was really easy to work with. He helped us come up with a timeline for our wedding & gave us song recs for our wedding ceremony. He was flexible when I changed up the timeline. He was even able to change things last minute on the day of... I wanted to add on dancing with our moms for the second end of our first dance and he just said OK and made it happen. He went according to our timeline & didn't forget even the small details I had written out for him. He literally did everything I asked him for & more! Plus he is extremely efficient in responding to emails & texts which I really really appreciated. 3) Jimmy is amazing when it comes to public speaking & just being infront of a crowd. He does it so gracefully with humor, sincerity & fun! Not to mention that he is amazing singer! I have actually watched videos of him singing before hiring him & honestly his singing was beyond amazing in person! Literally gave us chills. Everyone was commenting about how amazing of a singer he is. Per request he sang a song before our grand entrance & also sang our first dance song. He was very willing & never said no to any of my requests. 4) DJ Swan was amazing as well. Music flowed really well & he played songs/artists/genres I asked him to plus music he thought was appropriate. Music was great. It was also cool how he stuck with 90s KPOP towards the end of the night bc the friends that stayed until the end really enjoyed it. He was really good at sensing the atmosphere & vibe of the crowd and playing music to go with the flow. My now husband and I have never danced that much in our lives... let alone our friends. My wife and I decided on JK Wedding Events initially for MC/DJ services after seeing how well they handled those duties for my sister's own wedding. After meeting with JK, we noticed they also offered wedding planning services (day of- and month of- options). We went with the month of-coordinator option, as we knew it'd be hectic. Just how hectic, though, we were in for a surprise, to say the least. Our coordinator Rachel ended up proving to be a godsend. Her initial preparation and attention to detail were an immense help the month before our wedding as she reached out to all our vendors and kept them apprised of the standard wedding needs and timeline while keeping us in the loop. We're big on being kept aware of updates so this was great. As the date drew nearer, she unselfishly made the long drives from OC to downtown LA and our wedding venue in Malibu to meet with everyone and make sure we were on the right track. So far, so good, and we were very confident that wedding would go off without a hitch on Sunday. However, the night of our rehearsal, the Woolsey Fire erupted and on Friday morning, we got the terrible news our original venue would not be available. Rachel immediately jumped in and offered her help in whatever way she could, even though she had another wedding on Saturday. She notified all our vendors and helped keep them updated and screened us from their questions while my wife and I scrambled to find a last minute venue. After we finally found one on Saturday afternoon (20 hours before our Sunday 11 AM start), we let her know and she went into overdrive, juggling her Saturday wedding and working with the new venue almost simultaneously. Immediately after she finished her Saturday wedding duties, she stayed up until almost 3 AM finalizing all the details at this completely new venue and was up at 6 AM to check in on my wife and make sure she was ready to go. Long story short, Rachel was our MVP. If you have the opportunity to work with her for your wedding, you can be sure you'll be in good hands. We would be remiss not to give a shout out to JK, our MC, and Ethan, our DJ who kept a nice calm, light air about the wedding and smoothly transitioned from point A to point Z throughout the day. TL;DR: Pros: Very responsive company, and knowledgeable. Great DJ and MC. Best Wedding Coordinator - GET RACHEL IF YOU CAN. Great package values too! Cons: None. Really - NONE!

K wedding and Rachel my wedding coordinator made my wedding perfect . Working with Rachel and JK Wedding Events was hassle free and easy, they made everything so easy. Truly professionals in the industry, could not go wrong with JK Wedding Events. Rachel was great to work with, she made sure that I was not stressed out and helped out everywhere she could, she even went the extra mile and set-up my tasting at the venue. I love Rachel, she was so personal yet remained professional at all times, she noticed all the little details that we missed. Unlike most wedding coordinator, she was so easy to reach and she really listened to our needs/wants for our wedding. Even our guests noticed that she was on top of everything. I can't brag enough about the amazing job Rachel did for our wedding. She was worth every penny, and I highly recommend her!

Planning for the big day for a year or so, we were able to find the perfect MC and a day coordinator. Bilingual MC Jimmy and our day coordinator Yoomin and her team were very professional and experienced in all aspect. They were very organized and detail oriented that everything was perfect at our wedding. All of our family members and the guests complimented and they were satisfied. Jimmy and the whole JK team are complete professionals. They were more involved and specific than our wedding coordinator! (You should use their wedding coordinator - we made the mistake of using someone else). They made our wedding look amazing and fun! Their pricing is totally reasonable for everything they provide! Just got back from my honeymoon and had to write a review for the JK team asap! Having Jimmy and Yoomin onboard was one of the best decisions we made. Both are extremely professional and made our wedding day perfect. Jimmy executed being a MC perfectly, when the dance floor started to dwindle he would come on and get the crowd back he's also an amazing singer and very personable. Yoomin was amazing during the whole planning process from start to finish and made our vision come to life with the event design! She kept us in check and made sure we were taken care of. Honestly go with JK Wedding, you won't regret it! They are a great team. I'll start with Jimmy. We initially found him from social media, a lot of wedding posts had Jimmy listed as MC/DJ/Lights. After our initial meeting, he was a great guy with a good personality and we wanted to hire him on the spot. Jimmy asked if we needed coordination services and recommended his wife Yoomin. Jimmy's package came with DJ, lights, photobooth services and it was a great deal. We liked it was a one stop shop. The uplighting, gobo lights really brought the venue ambiance together. The DJ was great too, we filled out a form with music suggestions and all the songs throughout the night were great! The dance floor was more packed than I thought! Now onto Yoomin. She honestly made our wedding happen! We were so lost before and Yoomin recommended to us our florist, cake and videographer all who turned our great! Her recommendations helped us find reliable vendors within our budget. She even communicated and kept us in check while she was on vacation in Korea, now that is dedication. She honestly amazed us on the day of the wedding, we provided props and decorations to her and she made our entrance area come alive. She even stayed till after the wedding was over and packaged all our props and decorations neatly back in their boxes and delivered them to my parents. I also mentioned to her only once my MOH would take the cake stands back to our baker and after the wedding I panicked forgetting to remind them and not knowing where the stands were only to hear back from my MOH oh don't worry, Yoomin packaged it and gave them to me after the wedding! I already delivered it. What?! Yoomin has everything together and made our night. I was honestly extremely impressed how everything turned out so smoothly thanks to Yoomin.

I just had my wedding on July 7th, 2018, after planning for a year, and I must say I could not have done this without Jimmy’s help. We got the DJ, lights, and the day of coordinators for our wedding. Our biggest challenge was that we wanted our friend to MC the reception. We knew that our friend had lots of experience in public speaking and giving presentations and he is a smart, witty guy. But he had no experience in MC-ing a wedding reception. We lived in Seattle and our wedding was in LA, so we wanted to have a meeting with Jimmy to get to know him and his team’s service and ask some questions. He sat down with is for an hour in March when we visited LA and answered all our questions, basically worked out our ceremony and reception timeline for us, and made recommendations for our MC friend. He basically gave us a full on consulation, which was not part of service we got. He just did it for us out of kindness!! On our wedding day, our DJ Swan did an awesome job. We were not gonna have open dance because from my experience with Korean American weddings, we dont really dance. But he did such a good job that almost everybody danced including the adults. The day of coordinators were super helpful in tending to the guests on a very hot day. They were very attentive to the details and kept us updated on what to come next over the course of the event during thenteception. The only thing that could have made it even better would be if one of the two coordinators have helped the photographer in taking group photos after the ceremony. Our photographer had a bit of hard time gathering different groups of guests for pictures, and I thought that if one of them had helped giving guidance to guests, it could have been easier for the photo sessions. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with the service we got, and I will stick to JK team for any other future events. I highly recommend them, and I am so grateful to have worked with such an eunthusiastic and kind group of people. Many thanks to JImmy and his team!!

We had Jimmy MC/DJ our wedding and it was the best decision we've made! At first I was hesitant to have a professional MC cause they're expensive and I thought I could just ask my friends to do it for us. However my husband said MC was necessary and that it'll hit or miss your wedding depending on the MC, so I told him to take care of that. He yelped bilingual (Korean/English) MC and the first one he noticed was JK Wedding Events and after few meets with Jimmy, we decided to go with him. He is very talented and funny as well. He knows what he's doing and sings very well! We got many compliments about our MC and that it was fun with him. My brother has been to 3 weddings in the past 3 months and all of them were with Jimmy. As a person who had Jimmy as their MC, but even got the opportunity to experience his skills as a guest, I highly recommend having Jimmy as your MC! :)

We used JK Wedding Events for my dad's 70th birthday party. They were a hit! We used a smaller group during the cocktail hour and then the entire band for the dinner. They were really great! They had people out there dancing and having a great time. We had other entertainment, but really regretted having them at all and wished we had used Jimmy the entire time. Jimmy was easy to communicate with, punctual, and really a great singer. The other band members were just as great. I recommend them wholeheartedly.

Jimmy and team did an amazing job at my New Year’s Eve wedding this year. The dance floor was unstoppable thanks to the music and Jimmy’s emcee’ing. I had the wedding of a lifetime and all my guests did as well and know it was much attributed to the music and fun we all had. The countdown to midnight was brilliant with the video Jimmy made. We had a wedding with JK wedding events because we had a great experience with their service at our friend's wedding. They provide many wedding related services beyond just MC and DJ, we contracted our wedding coordinator and photo booth through them as well. Working with them has saved us SO MUCH stress and hassle and made my wedding planning and life so much easier. All of their employees including the wedding coordinator is super courteous and professional. They are very good in communicating with you and on top of every details. We hired Yoomin at JK Wedding Events for day of coordination for our wedding. Overall, we were very pleased with Yoomin's service, professionalism, and ability to get things done. When we met with Yoomin in person, we felt like she definitely had experience and we trusted that she would get everything in line. We had already done most of the planning, but she helped fill any gaps and actually caught some things we had missed. There were times where we wanted to stray from a typical wedding itinerary, and Yoomin was always flexible and wanted us to be happy with our own wedding. I personally think she did more than we expected her too, which is always a good thing. She brought a couple assistants to the wedding who were professionally dressed and both were experienced and did a good job helping. I would definitely recommend JK Wedding Events for wedding coordination. They can adjust to whatever you need help with planning.

Jimmy and his crew were the best I can ask for in a MC/DJ! Jimmy was very friendly and passionate about his job which is why I chose this company. He was there with his best DJ equipments on the day of of my engagement party and they were top-notch!! I absolutely loved the equipments they brought because it brought such good vibe and mood to the party. Jimmy was a bilingual DJ so he spoke both Korean and English the crowd at the same time. My audience was about 90 % korean and 10 % English speakers so he spoke mostly English but he was fluent in both languages which was also the reason I picked Jimmy over other DJ vendors. Jimmy was alive and vibrant during the party and kept different age groups/ audience all engaged and attentive during the four hour duration. The games he suggested were wonderful and he did a fantastic job narrating the games and keeping the flow of the party going. Overall, I was very pleased with Jimmy’s work and I would definitely hire him for other events and suggest him to my friends!

I just got married three weeks ago from today. We contacted Jimmy Koh from JK Wedding Events as soon as we saw a video of him singing our favorite wedding song. We asked Jimmy if he can sing our favorite song with Trixie, who is another Co-MC from the team and indeed, they did a great job! On the day of the wedding, he clearly knew how to entertain the crowd. Jimmy has tons of experience in wedding, so he knows what to do. He played this game at our wedding, which all of our guests enjoyed. If you tell him what kind of wedding you want, he will make it for you. We told him what kind of wedding we want, our love story, and some things that we pay a close attention to. and He did a great job! I highly recommend him.

I would give JK Wedding Events all the starts I can possibly give. I am seriously not sure how our wedding would have gone with out Jimmy. 1. I'm not going to further discuss about his amazing vocal skill. Look him up on youtube. 2. Have no idea how to schedule your wedding/reception/etc? Jimmy's gotchu. He's been in hundreds of wedding and he knows the latest trend/style of wedding ceremonies and receptions. 3. I'm a very detail oriented and a (sort of) perfectionist. I think my wife and I had well over 50 email conversation with Jimmy and > 2 in-person meetings, and ~3 skype meetings. This is probably not normal, but Jimmy was happy to do it and was very understanding. 4. Although Jimmy will make lots of suggestions based on his experience, he will always go with what YOU want. He is very flexible to last minute / unexpected changes. 5. I probably called every single Korean/English bilingual MCs in Los Angeles area. Jimmy is the most non-intimidating, honest and friendliest one. Trust me, I'm saving you hours of phone calls with other MCs. Just go with him.

We used JK Wedding Events for our wedding (early Sept 2017) and we loved working with them! The coordinator was great - on top of every detail and easy-going to speak with, which gave me peace throughout the whole wedding planning, prep process. The MC was great as well. As I walked down the aisle, I broke a glass vase along the way. But instead of having a bad vibe after that, the MC was very witful and he had made all of us forget it, by going on to tell everyone this fortunate phrase/saying: "they say that if 3 things happen at a wedding, it's a great sign- 1. If it rains, 2. if there's a baby's cry, and 3. If a glass breaks. And in today's wedding two of them happened (baby cry, glass breaking)." What a turnaround! I wish I had more than 5 stars, because I want to give more than 5 stars to JKWE and would refer anyone I know to work with them for their wedding. Thanks again JKWE!

We booked JK Wedding Events because we saw Jimmy MC at a friend's wedding and his singing alone made us think "we have to book this guy". While his singing was certainly great and entertaining, the details we didn't catch as audience members, we quickly appreciated upon booking JK Wedding Events. Jimmy met with us before the wedding and discussed what we might want along with how the makeup of our guests looked so he could give his input on how the wedding might flow. On the day of the wedding he clearly knew how to work the crowd and keep everyone engaged and having a good time (which was very evident from the view of the sweetheart table). We also had Yoomin as our coordinator and I have to say she was a godsend! We can't imagine trying to handle the wedding without her. She was on top of every detail and followed up with us whenever we were slacking. There were so many little things leading up to the wedding we hadn't even thought about and if she wasn't there, would have been lost. At the end of the wedding, the coordinator crew packed everything up for us and put them into our car so that we could just leave without worrying about anything. All the reviews rave about Jimmy (and rightfully so), but Yoomin and her other coordinators deserve equal praise. TLDR - Cannot recommend JK Wedding Events enough!
