Wow! I mean WOW! I hired Live Art Photography sight unseen based off their portfolio and what other people were saying about them. After my initial call with them, I signed the contract right away to lock up our date and we’re so happy we did. The perfect combination of professional and friendly, Carl and team conducted themselves as total pros during our wedding. And at the same time, they were so friendly with our family. Carl is a natural born hypeman. He got all my cousins and friends pumped up during our reception. Everyone had such a good time with them. Now that I got my pictures, I can see the artistry. Our pictures are so beautiful! We had emailed Desiree some sample pics and some pinterests a year before the wedding to give them an idea of what we wanted. Not only did they execute our ideas perfectly they also did their style which came out so much better than the Pinterests that we sent them. My husband and I know we were so lucky to have Live Art Photography team do our wedding photos.

I cannot thank Carl and his team at Live Art Photography enough. My wedding pictures are dreamy and looks totally professional. Not only are my pictures so pretty, but they were the nicest people you could ask for. They were so great with all of our guests. I love the pictures we got from Carl and Des from Live Art Photography. We had interviewed 8 photographers before we met Carl and Des. When we met them, we knew they were the ones. Desiree and her team at Live Art Photography made my wedding photography dreams come true. I was so nervous about how everything would turn out but they came out so beautiful. More beautiful than I was expecting! We checked out their work online and we were hoping they could replicate it for ours. Boy did they deliver. We wanted everything to look natural and not staged and they took care of that. The candids looked like something out of a magazine. I also wanted some posed shots with family and friends. Those came out outrageously awesome. I compared their pictures to our family shots of the same posed shots and it wasn’t even close. Desiree’s photos looked sooo much better. We’ll be using them again this coming Thanksgiving for a large family gathering. Not just because we wanted to use Desiree again, but our whole family wanted her as well.

Stunning wedding pictures from Carl and Desiree! I hired Live Art Photography after a friend recommended them. I checked out their work and their reviews and I was immediately sold. They’re the most awesome people you’ll ever meet. And their photography is to die for. My husband absolutely loves the pictures and so does my mom. Anyone can buy a camera, but you have to have real vision to create. Carl and Desiree are true talents behind the lens.

I hired Carl for our wedding based off his Knot reviews. He was fantastic throughout the entire process. The communication was top notch. He followed up with us on a regular basis all the way up until the wedding day. He was really flexible too because we needed to add another hour, just as they were about to wrap up. We had no reservations about adding more time because we could already see they were doing a great job. Carl and his three other photographers were omnipresent. Everywhere we looked, we saw them posing guests and taking awesome candids. Everyone loved them! The proof is in the pictures, and the pictures they delivered were breathtaking. Seriously, you and your fiance have to consider Live Art Photography for your wedding. Desiree and her team were so friendly and professional. They made me feel so comfortable and the pictures came out amazing! They coach you on how to stand and position yourself so that it was all flattering angles. Our wedding pictures came out perfectly. We looked like polished models straight out of a magazine shoot. The candids also looked amazing. Our family looked like they were having the time of their lives (and some of them in real life are total fuddy duddies). But some how some way Desiree was able to also get them to loosen up and let loose. After receiving my pictures and seeing how wonderful they were, one of my friends that’s getting married in 2020 already reached out to and hired Desiree for her Malibu wedding. Yeah they’re that good.

Our wedding pictures from Live Art Photography blows away all our friends wedding photos. We know this because our friends told us so. Haha. Carl and his team really went all out for our wedding. There were 3 photographers including Carl. It seemed like they were everywhere the entire night. Now that we have our pictures, I can finally see everything that happened that night. They caught so many things that we didn’t see happen. The mark of true pros. Our portraits that we took immediately after the wedding were to die for. Incredible photography! If we could give 20 stars to Live Art Photography for the job they did at our wedding we absolutely would do it. Amazing is the word I would use when we received our pictures. Desiree and her team did such a good job that we’re having a hard time picking photos for our wedding album. At this rate our album would be 150 pages haha. Des was so kind and sweet throughout the entire process. Her partner Carl was a real hype man at our reception. It was very cool to see him pumping my friends up in order to get the best party pics I’ve ever seen. Worth every penny to have these pros at our wedding. We’re already talking about newborn photography when the time comes. I just know that they’ll be the ones we call at every life milestone.

As we scrolled through the never ending list of photographers on The Knot, we came across a unique image of a couple at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. It immediately caught my eye, and led us to open up their portfolio. We were so taken by the timeless look of their images, we called them to schedule an interview right away. During the interview, they had everything we were looking for for our special day, quality images, personality, calmness and … We will definitely be recommending them to all of our friends and family.

I am so happy that I chose Live Art Photography to shoot my wedding. After meeting with them I knew they were the ones! Carl and Desiree are so incredibly sweet and their album samples were stunning. They photographed our engagement session and our wedding day. Their communication was so good as they responded back to all emails and messages within an hour. We had a wonderful experience working with Desiree and Carl of Live Art Photography. They photographed our wedding in July 2017 so this review was a long time coming. I still remember the first time we met them like it was yesterday. My husband and I met with five other photographers, and spoke to numerous others over the phone. But as soon as we met with Des, we knew they were the ones. They embraced all the ideas we brought to them. And we had A LOT of ideas. They implemented all the shots we wanted, they also provide other incredible shots we weren’t even expecting. Weddings are expensive, but you get what you pay for. Live Art Photography isn’t about budget photography, they’are about premium photography. After all that’s said and done I’m glad we allocated more of our budget toward the photography because that’s the only thing that remains from our special night. And they did a masterful job with our pictures. Everyone tells us so. So blessed to have them as our photographers.

Stunning wedding pictures! Carl was so easy to work with from beginning to end. His friendly and funny demeanor made it so easy for me and my fiancé all the way up until the wedding. We had a really large wedding, so he and his team of four photographers made sure to shoot everything. We saw things in the photos that we didn’t even see during the reception. I love the coaching they provided during the day. There were times my dress would be out of position and they would whisper it in my ear so I can make an adjustment. I let them know I’m very subconscious about my arms so they would remind me to position my arms in a certain way using hand cues. That’s another thing. Brilliant! Besides my husband, Carl was the next best thing about my wedding. Lol.

Live Art Photography was exactly what we were looking for for our wedding. They were attentive, fun and calm under pressure. Desiree is absolutely the best photographer. We knew she was the one from the time we first met her and her partner Carl. When we talked through all the details it felt like we were dealing with friends and not just a business transaction. We hired Live Art Photography to do our engagement session and wedding. We also opted for their backup photographer option. So we had four photographers for our ceremony and reception. Desiree has a way of making me and my fiance to feel comfortable. This was a big deal for me because I didn’t want to the pictures to come out looking too posey. The results were incredible. The pictures are transcendent and it proves that she’s not just a photographer but she’s also an artist. Everyone told us how amazing our pictures look. They were hands down the best decision of the entire wedding process.

After an intense 6 month search looking for the perfect wedding photographer, we finally found the one, Live Art Photography (LAP). My fiance and I interviewed over 25 photography teams, and after a mere 15 minutes with Carl and Desiree, we looked at each other with the same idea in mind, they were the ones! It was their wedding pictures that first got our attention, then when we sat down for the initial interview, we immediately felt as though we’ve known them for years. Carl had us laughing from the get go. Our engagement shoot was at Disneyland, which was amazing in itself, because we're such diehard fans, but while we were there, we had such a blast, the fun really came through in the pictures. Not only did LAP make sure to photograph us at ALL of our most special locations in Dland, but they took us to spots we didn't even know existed. On ceremony day, LAP showed up early and began shooting right away. While Desiree shot me and my fiance doing final touches, Carl shot the details and event space. Throughout the night, instead of pushing us to get posed photos, they just took candid shots, and allowed us to enjoy the evening with our friends and family. Last June we got married in my hometown in Chicago and we booked Live Art Photography for a travel wedding. We really wanted them because I saw them working at another wedding I attended in 2016 and they were wonderful with everyone. Sure enough, they were just as wonderful at ours and our families loved them. Carl, Desiree, and their two backup photographers gave us memorable pictures that were perfect. And I mean perfect! Desiree is so talented! Our wedding pictures came out than the actual wedding itself. She and her partner recognized that we had a lot of shy guests. She was able to get them to not only take pictures for the camera but to also “let their hair down” and look happy in all the shots. My wedding coordinator only gave her 15 minutes of photography time immediately after the ceremony, but Desiree delivered the most amazing pictures. That 15 minutes went by so fast and I don’t even remember it. But in that short amount of time she was allotted she created amazing artwork. I guess that’s why they're called live art photography. Desiree is a five star high end photographer and is worth every penny.

Desiree and her partner Carl did such a wonderful job with our wedding pictures. They came out better than we asked for, and we flooded them with a big jumbled variety of pictures I found on Pinterest. They’re very talented photographers and the way they capture ambient light is dreamy. Our pictures came out so amazing. The candids of our friends were sooooo amazing. The best part is when my family saw the pictures. My mom’s emotions came out when she saw the photos and that was the cherry on top. I plan on hiring Live Art Photography for all of our family photos from this point on.

I've Hired Carl and Desiree on for 2 occasions for both photography and videography. I cannot give them I high enough star. They are very professional. Always arrive onetime with smiles on their faces. They interact with guests very nicely and always catch the best moments - that perfect look, handshake, hug and laughs. I cannot recommend them enough, I will always use them for all my events.

On our special day, we had very high expectations. Carl and Desiree from Live Art Photography exceeded them beyond what we could have imagined. We asked for classic elegance with a 1950s flair and got exactly what we asked for. They were so friendly, and photographed our friends and family without us even knowing they were there. Desiree and Carl of Live Art Photography are incredible wedding photographers. I found them for my wedding in Pasadena and I’m so lucky I hired them. They’re super friendly which makes for amazing candid shots. I can’t say enough about their wedding photography. It’s some of the most breathtaking artistic photos I’ve ever seen. I received my wedding photos today and I couldn’t wait to write this review for Carl and Desiree. I had family visiting from 4 countries and 8 states for our Malibu wedding, and I hadn’t seen most of them in a very long time. We needed everything to be just right and the photography had to be equally perfect. The pictures we got completely exceeded our expectations. It was a big wedding and they somehow were able to shoot so many amazing moments with off of them. I wasn’t sure if it was possible to get everyone and everything but that’s why I hired them. They totally delivered flawless pictures! The photos of my brides maids and husbands groomsman were so funny. There wasn’t any of the stale poses I see all the time. I let them know I wanted more fun and candid and they took care of the rest. I’m so impressed with the quality of their work. This is what it’s like to work with professional photographers. I know this is going to sound vain, but they made me look skinny. I told them that was a concern and they made sure I looked amazing. A lot of it was the pre-wedding coaching they gave us so we knew how to carry ourselves on wedding day. We really loved all the advise they gave us. The entire process of working with them from start to finish was so easy. They kept in constant communication and replied back to all communications quickly. They were the only vendors from the wedding that would get back to my emails and texts within hours. Sometimes within seconds depending if they’re shooting another wedding. They’re payment system is also appreciated. It helped me split up the payments and we didn’t have to pay everything all at once. Hiring Carl and Desiree from Live Art Photography was a no brainer. I’m recommending them to all my friends who plan on getting married.

Live Art Photography was the perfect wedding photographers for our wedding. After months of looking at portfolios and conducting interviews I had an intuition Desiree and Carl were the ones. I loved the fact that they have two completely different shooting styles. It’s amazing how different their shots are from each other but both equally stunning. They delivered the most beautiful pictures I’ve ever seen of my husband and I. It was really important to have plenty of pictures of our family, but not just staged shots. We wanted to see them having fun and the candids they photographed are timeless. I got my photos just this week and I cry every time I see the pictures of my mom and sister having a blast. I cannot begin to explain how AMAZING Carl & Des were as photographers. They were super communicative from the very beginning which we sooo appreciated. As couples who have planned weddings know just how hectic & stressful it can be, hiring Carl & Des truly relieved any and all fears or worries regarding the photography. I met Desiree and Carl at my friends wedding earlier this year. I noticed them right away as soon as I arrived because they moved so quickly from one spot to the next. The thing that caught my eye was how they moved together. When one would photograph one angle, the other would always move at least at a 90 degree angle. Like crossfire. Then during the reception they were omnipresent and seemed to always be at the right spot during the key moments. When i saw my friends photos I knew they were the ones. My wedding was earlier this month and I just received my pictures. My husband and I are blown away. The way the documented the day exceeded everything I was expected. I immediately started crying when I saw the pictures of my mom and dad dancing during the reception. I didn’t even see it happen but they somehow photographed it within the large group on the dance floor. They were exceptional to work with. Very professional and also very friendly. I cant emphasize enough how easy going and happy they both were. It really made a huge difference when it came time to do our portraits because we were very comfortable around them. We totally trusted them and they they over delivered. They coached us in how to carry ourselves so we looked great in the pictures. My husband was so impressed by their creative lighting techniques and ability to get amazing shots. I’m so happy with my pictures and I have Live Art Photography to thank for it.

My wife and I hate having our pictures taken, but we are so excited to receive our photos and videos that Carl and Desiree took. They made sure to get everything we were looking for. I can’t thank Live Art Photography enough for capturing all the pictures that were on my “most important photos list”. Once I received my pictures, I realized that, not only did they get everything that I asked for, but they captured images I didn’t even think of or knew were going to happen, like my 82 year old grandparents getting down on dance floor. What a moment in time! We first met Carl and Desiree at my cousin's "over the top" wedding. Anyone who knows my cousin, knows she's a VERY traditional Armenian woman, with VERY high standards. That night, my husband and I thought, if they could live up to my cousin's standards, then we better schedule a consultation with them asap. I’ve been called THE Bridezilla of all Bridezillas. On the morning of my wedding I was such a stress case but Desiree and Carl aka Live Art Photography, made me feel so relaxed. They were a huge reason all my wedding dreams became a reality. As I was getting ready, Desiree sat me down, and gave me a little pep talk. She advised me to “lock eyes with my husband, and just focus on him”, then she said, “we’ll handle the rest”. She was exactly right, everything else went off without a hitch. The artwork they produced with their pictures and videos were straight up amazing. They really took advantage of the reception hall and photographed us all over the place. I can’t thank them enough for putting my mind at ease, helping me let go of the things that I had no control over, and allowing me to simply enjoy the day. The photos, videos, and albums they provided definitely should’ve cost more. My husband and I are SO happy and blessed to have had Live Art Photography document our wedding.

We had our engagement session and wedding photos done by Live Art Photography and I have nothing but rave reviews for them. Desiree was our photographer and Carl was our videographer. The pictures were stunning and our friends always post the pictures everywhere. We had a rustic wedding in Temecula and we wanted to have a certain look and style to our photos. What Desiree gave us was something out of a magazine shoot. They were absolutely amazing. What we really appreciated was the instructions she gave. She made sure we were in the right positions. All the pictures were really flattering. I’ve seen pictures of myself in the past all glammed up, but they never matched up to the style and look as the ones Desiree shot for me. One other thing that we shot was a boudoir session the morning of the wedding. I’ve never had a boudoir shoot before but Desiree made me feel so comfortable and myself. Those pictures really came out exceptionally beautiful. Our highlight video that Carl produced for us made everyone cry. I knew he would do a good job since he worked in post production reality television, but I wasn’t expecting the type of story telling we received. My sister and I cry every time. I give Live Art Photography the highest recommendation I can possibly give!

Let me start off with how self conscious I am with having my pictures being taken. I never look good in photos so you can imagine the anxiety that ensued immediately after saying yes to my then fiancée’s proposal. I knew I had to hire a photographer but I didn’t really want to. My mom would’ve been so disappointed if we didn’t have our pictures taker during our wedding so I began my search. After half a year of searching I found Live Art Photography. I knew right then and there that they were the ones. Desiree and Carl are owner operators of Live Art Photography. I met them in person and they were the nicest most easy going people. They brought an album of their portfolio and I thought I was looking a professional models. Like some kind of staged wedding photo shoot. But they were definitely real clients of theirs. Then I even got anxiety about if I could lol as good as the people in their pictures but they gave me so much confidence. My fiancée didn’t let me hesitate and we hired them on the spot. We were so happy with their organization and prep leading up to the wedding. They have coaching tips and they leave nothing to chance. I’m not particularly happy with my arms but they had easy to follow instructions on how to walk and hold my arms so it wouldn’t be an issue. Fast forward to photo delivery day. OMG! The pictures were incredible. I immediately started crying because how great we looked. The pictures are so incredible that one of my girlfriends who had hired another photographer, asked for her deposit back so she can hire Live Art Photography. They are that good. I wish I had hired them throughout all my life accomplishments and events like graduations. The pictures they take tell a story. There isn’t anyone else who could’ve told our love story like Desiree and Carl. Thank you very much you two.

I love love love the photos and video Carl and Desiree took for my wedding! I wanted something creative and different. I had a mish mosh of inspirational photos we gathered online and my wedding photos were so much more breathtaking. The first thing I noticed about them was how comfortable I felt around them. I believe thats why the quality of the photos were of the highest level. They made me feel at ease and I knew they would take care of all the details. I could hear them in the background talking to my bridesmaids about how to stand and how to position their arms…I have friends who are very self conscious about their arms :) All my friends loved how they looked in their pictures too, and that’s because they coached everyone. We all knew we were in great hands. By the end of the night, everyone was asking for their business card. They’re not shy at all. They got into the thick of it during the reception and I’m so glad they did. They captured so many things that I didn’t even see during the wedding. Our family loved them because they would interact with them and get them to do fun things on camera. In fact, the whole day was a blur because we had over 500 guests and I was being pulled in every direction by family who traveled to be there. But Carl and Desiree managed to get everyone in the shots and document things that were happening throughout the entire night. We’re so thankful they were able to shoot those things since we can only be in one place at one time. We were able to relive that night and see how everyone was having so much fun! My husband is very stoic but he couldn’t help but cry when he saw the pictures. Some of the interactions they photographed were something out of a magazine. And the video was professionally crafted. Of course it had me, my sister, and my mom bawling our eyes out. They’re incredible photographers. Incredible! If you need professional creative photography, look no further than Carl and Desiree. I wouldn’t trust anyone else to photograph our family and friends’ events.

Everything went perfectly with Live Art Photography. Desiree and Carl are an amazing team that completely exceeded my expectations. My wedding pictures are so beautiful and stunning. My wedding was at 1pm at a ranch in Malibu. Many photographers told me that wasn’t the best time to do it because the light would be too strong and harsh. To complicate things I’m light haired/fair skin and my husband to be is Indian. So there’s a big difference in our skin tones. In our selfies I’m either too bright or he’s too dark. But Desiree and Carl said, no problem. And sure enough my ceremony and formal photos came out looking like magazine covers. Our skin tones were perfectly lit. I don’t know how they did it, except to say that’s why they’re professional photographers! The reception was indoors and the ranch provided decent lighting but it was still a little dark. We went from extreme daylight outside to a dark setting inside. I was worried it wasn’t going to look great in the photos but I was wrong! The inside reception pictures were timeless. It was fascinating watching them maneuver and manipulate their lighting to get such creative shots. A friend of ours who is also a photographer ended up picking their brains to learn about how to light a dark space. I think what makes them so special is how they are able to get people to relax. They are so friendly and so energetic, my family and friends couldn’t help feel relaxed around them. Its truly like having your best friends take pictures of you. And because everyone was relaxed around them, they were able to get the best candid shots I’ve ever seen. I haven’t even mentioned the highlight video yet. The story they told with the video is so emotional that I get goosebumps and cry every time I watch it. I love my video! My husband and I cannot express my gratitude enough to Desiree and Carl. Through their creative eyes, they gave us beautiful photos and video that will tell our love story to generations of our family for years to come. Thank you SO MUCH Desiree and Carl!

Our wedding photos are so stunning. Desiree and Carl have the magic photographic eye that we were looking for when choosing a wedding photographer. I wanted something special. I wanted something creative and artistic. They exceeded our expectations in a big way. I love the way they coached us through our portraits and how they put everyone in a flattering position for the formals. They don’t take a gazillion meaningless photos. They’re like hawks and I noticed that their cameras always went off at the right times. We had friends and family taking pictures too. Some with their phones and some with their cameras. And none of their photos came even close to Desiree and Carl’s. I’m not even sure how they got the bold and emotional pictures that they captured. But that’s why they’re the professionals. That’s how they carry themselves, as professionals. They’re also very happy and friendly while they’re working. Always with smiles on their faces. Even some family members who typically hate smiling, had huge smiles on our pictures. I’m so so happy with my wedding photos. I don’t think anyone else could have done a better job at creating these timeless photos. I give Live Art Photography my highest possible recommendation.
