Emily was an incredible partner in crime for our wedding day! She was able to help two people who know nothing about weddings / are bad decision markers put together an amazing day. Emily went above and beyond just planning the day of - but was so helpful in design suggestions, vendor recommendations, scheduling considerations and more. Our day went off without a single issue and we credit so much of it to her. Also goes without saying her super friendly & warm demeanor is exactly what you need from a planner given how stressful everything can become. Extra bonus if you are getting married about Malibu Lake where she is an absolute expert.

As a wedding florist, I work with a lot of planners. Emily is one that definitely makes my job easier and is a person I look forward to doing weddings with. She is kind, down-to-earth, friendly, respectful, organized to a T, easy to work with, collaborative, an all-out lovely human being, and puts together an amazing wedding day! Emily was in every way the perfect wedding planner. She supported us throughout the entire process and made sure that the wedding of our dreams became a reality. 11/10 would recommend working with Emily! My husband and I had the please of working with Emily, for our wedding at the Adamson House. I was in love with the venue, but a bit nervous as you have to bring everything in, so it had a lot more logistics to it. Working with Emily made it a breeze. She made sure all of our vendors were in sync (Catering, Rentals, Liquor, Florals, DJ, Transportation, Photographer, etc. etc.), and seeing that put my mind at ease. The entire process was smooth - we had regular communications to ensure everything was moving along as needed, and day-of went perfectly. We didn’t have to worry about a thing and many of our guests said it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever attended. Highly highly recommend working with Emily for your wedding!!!

Emily was fantastic to work with. Extremely knowledgeable and helpful when prepping for the wedding and vital for the day of the wedding. There are not enough words to describe how amazing Emily is! We just had the most magical wedding possible and it was all because of Emily. Not only is she professional, knowledgeable and organized she can switch gears at a moments notice. Two months before our wedding, so many difficulties with our original venue (which we chose prior to finding Emily) had me at my wits end. I told Emily that I was so overwhelmed that I was ready to go to the courthouse but instead. She said don’t worry I’ve got just the place for you two. And she pulled THE PERFECT VENUE FOR US right out of her bag of tricks! Unbelievable! Not only was our wedding spectacular, it far and away exceeded all our expectations. Emily is the best! She's very knowledgeable and is always calm. She also has a great demeanor. We never felt stressed and she kept everything on track, before and during the event. We would recommend her for any event or wedding.

Emily jumped in early and really helped my now wife and I stay sane! Our wedding would not have been a smooth day without her help. Even though we threw her a few curveballs she adjusted well and was able to adapt quickly. Everyone has said it was one of the most beautiful days that they had experienced and Emily was a HUGE part of that! Her service is crucial and we highly recommend to anyone.

Emily is lively, energetic, and exciting to work with. We were very pleased with her assistance in helping us plan and carry out our wedding in Santa Barbara, CA. We live in Washington state and needed help planning an event of this magnitude. Emily was generous with her time and was willing to meet with us biweekly. This helped us keep on track with our timeline and goals. She also found a fantastic venue, Santa Barbara Woman’s Club, and a great list of vendors that we were pleased to work with: DJ’s Catering, Jenn Spain Photography, Second Song, and Party Central Photo Booth. Emily was on top of everything on the day of our wedding. The day went smoothly and much of it had to do with her preparation. There was little to no mental burden for my wife and I on the wedding day which allowed us to enjoy the celebration to the fullest. Her and her assistant knocked it out of the park with day-of table decorations, especially our sweetheart table. I would highly recommend Emily to anyone looking for a wedding planner for their big day.

Emily is the ONLY wedding planner you need to talk to. Before we hired her, I was so lost and stressed about keeping track of all of the details and building out a budget that truly accounted for everything. After contacting about 20 other wedding planners and feeling discouraged by vague pricing or weird, impersonal or pretentious vibes, we got on the phone with Emily and immediately knew she was the one. She instantly “got” us and understood what we wanted. I honestly can’t imagine having planned our wedding with anyone else. Emily is so kind and professional, and she did so much for us. When she says “full service”, she means it. She guided us so effortlessly through the entire process. She helped us identify our priorities and hit our deadlines. She provided excellent vendor recommendations and even handled a lot of communications on our behalf so that we could focus on the fun stuff. She kept everything relaxed, fun, and approachable. And she’s a real joy to chat with. We ended up having a wonderful wedding that exceeded my expectations in pretty much every way. It was beautiful and our families and friends have been gushing about it for weeks. I’m almost sad that I can’t figure out a way to work with Emily again. She is truly the best!

We’re so so glad we went with Emily. After dipping our toes into wedding planning shortly after we got engaged, we knew it was something we could not handle on our own and that we would want some professional help and support along the way. The first time we chatted with Emily over zoom, we were both struck by her calm demeanor and how easy and pleasant she was to speak with. We knew that was an energy that we wanted around us on our wedding day. We also learned that Emily frequently does weddings at a venue we were eyeing, The Lodge at Malibou Lake. It made sense for us that if we chose that venue (which we did) we should pick a wedding planner who knew it inside and out – and that was Emily Kay! Emily was super flexible and accommodating of us when we had some challenges picking a date. Once we finally settled on one, Emily was so key in keeping us on track with next steps. I had many moments where I was concerned that we might be behind in our planning, or missing something, and every time we met with Emily it was always re-assuring that we were right where we needed to be, or we didn’t need to think about a certain step yet. Once again, Emily’s calm approach to wedding planning was so crucial to help us manage what can be a very stressful situation. Emily was always available to bounce ideas off of. And her years of knowledge and experience with wedding planning was of course super helpful to us newbies. She was always very communicative, even when juggling a very busy year with many weddings taking place! On the big day itself, I was impressed once again how her calm demeanor pervaded everything. Everything happened exactly as Emily had planned out, there were no last minute emergencies or catastrophes, the whole event went off flawlessly – all to her credit! The only slight mishap was a tilting cake, which meant we had to cut the cake sooner than anticipated, but even with that slight change, everything still felt seamless, and like it was meant to be. It was so wonderful to have Emily’s re-assuring presence around us all day. Even our friends and family commented multiple times on her wonderful energy and how calm and happy she was the whole day. Another perk, is that Emily has several decorative items that she rents out if people need them: table numbers, candles, etc. These came in super helpful towards the end, when we were tired of making decisions, and when we didn’t want to acquire more items than we needed to. If we had to do it all over again, we would 100% pick Emily Kay! She was the perfect woman for the job, and I’m so happy we had her with us on our big day. She was exactly who we needed, and the day was a big success because of her! So grateful for making our wedding the smash hit that it was! We will be re-living this day for years to come, and we couldn’t have done it without her!

Emily stepped in and guided us after we struggled to find a planner, and has been a source of confidence and clarity throughout our engagement. Emily is a kind professional wedding planner! She handled a not so great venue and their staff as best she could and with respect. We had planning meetings that were helpful leading up to the event. The ceremony went off beautifully. The way the reception ended up, I wish had more structure and communication between some vendors, especially the DJ, since a few things I had to initiate myself in terms of timeline, which wasn't ideal. Overall, I had a very good experience with Emily.

Words cannot express my sincere gratitude and appreciation for Emily. Her kindness, creativity, dedication, work ethic and ability to remain calm amidst a storm not only preserved my sanity, but also contributed to creating an absolutely wonderful wedding. Throughout the entire planning process, Emily spent countless hours helping Kevin and I create exactly what we wanted. Candidly, our wedding was not easy. Our venue was a beautiful backyard, which made things far more complicated than I realized. We had numerous vendors, logistical issues and special requests. Emily managed all of these, and, importantly, she did this displaying a calm demeanor and a smile. As if the wedding were not complicated enough, we then faced significant weather issues five days prior to our wedding. Such issues were absolutely unforeseen given that our wedding was in early September and in Los Angeles. Nevertheless, the weather gods delivered a hurricane warning, as well as Saturday filled with rain. This is every bride’s nightmare, particularly one such as myself who is a certified “worrywart.” Emily immediately jumped into action by relying on connections to secures tents (which was not an easy task given the Emmys and numerous other weddings scheduled the weekend of our wedding) and strategizing how to ensure our BIG day still would be amazing, rain or shine. Kevin and I knew that Emily was handling the situation, which made that week a lot less stressful. She communicated regularly and assured us that the event was on course. Undoubtedly, unplanned “issues” will arise during the planning process. Rest assured, Emily will handle them. In sum, Emily went above and beyond in all aspects of planning and creating the best day of my life. Numerous guests commented that this was the “best wedding they have ever attended.” I only say this to emphasize Emily’s talents. I unequivocally and without reservation HIGHLY recommend Emily. Do not hesitate to hire her as your planner. She is professional, caring, driven, creative and kind. And, critically, she is an excellent communicator. During the planning process, this trait is invaluable. Vendors loved working with her, and Emily consistently updated Kevin and I throughout the process. Whenever I had questions, she made herself available. In a nutshell, Emily is the best coordinator I could have chosen and choosing her was the best decision Kevin and I made regarding our wedding. We will forever be grateful for her efforts and recommend and encourage all couples to select her. As someone who never dreamed about my “wedding day,” Emily changed my perspective and caused to understand just how truly special wedding days are. The effort and investment are absolutely worth it. Emily was wonderful to work with. I appreciated that she always answered all messages in a timely fashion, and made herself available for whatever we needed during the planning process and in the days leading up to the wedding. We went for the 3 month package, since we only allowed ourselves 6 months to plan the wedding! Emily was a fantastic wedding planner! She is an incredibly friendly person and takes time to get to know you while working with you. She is very knowledgeable about schedules, prices, venues, and vendors, and knows how to get the answers to any questions she does not know. When concerns or issues arose during the course of planning, Emily went out of the way to remedy the issues. Emily’s greatest strength in our view was her presence and influence on the wedding day itself. She was incredibly organized, knew just what we needed (often before we did), was very easy to find and receptive to our requests, and was pleasant and friendly throughout. We truly feel as though we made the best wedding decision in hiring Emily to help plan our wedding in July. From the very beginning, Emily was responsive, understanding, and really listened to what we wanted. It was a nice balance of letting us do what we wanted for our big day, but also directing us towards what she thinks would work best (based on her expertise). She saved us so much time in looking for vendors, and made us really comfortable in knowing that they would come through for us because she had relationships with many of them. From executing our detailed design vision, dealing with older guests's needs, to making sure the wedding moved along without pressuring anyone, and also ensuring we had time to eat our food. It was truly the best day of our lives and I don't know if it would have been as great as it was, had we hired anyone else. I am telling everyone getting married that having a wedding planner is one of the best investments they can make, and Emily was worth every penny.

We had the joy of working with Emily a few a months before our wedding and we can’t emphasize enough how instrumental she was in making our big day a success. The design plans for the decor/floral were exactly what we envisioned and finally seeing it day of was just special. I sought out wedding planning services as I was starting to feel overwhelmed in my wedding planner process. There were obstacles I was encountering that my fellow brides hadn't experienced, nor friends who dabbled in wedding planning had experienced. Emily was experienced in helping me navigate the pitfalls and really provided support when I most needed it. My fiance and I had wanted to plan something unique, with our own personal touches, and Emily came to our sessions with recommendations which resonated and aligned to our wedding day vision. She never skipped a beat and helped recommend vendors last minute as we were having trouble navigating Covid wedding planning. Finally, I would say the most meaningful statement I can place for you here - she'll go to bat for you. She'll stand up to vendors who are overcharging, or adding additional charges, and work it out with them as to not stress you out. She'll provide you with tools and resources to help you plan and sit on the phone with you for however long it takes for you to be comfortable in your decisions. Ultimately, my wedding day was flawlessly executed, and that I owe to the support of Emily and her team.

Emily and Alana are an amazing DUO. We could not have asked for a better team. With our large wedding party, Alana had her hands full on our wedding day but everything worked out smoothly (as expected). We chose the day of coordinator package. Emily and Alana came in to help around 3 months prior to the wedding. They smoothed out all the kinks, but if we could go back in time, we would have loved to bring them on sooner. I highly recommend Emily Kay for any of your wedding needs. I definitely suggest hiring them for the full package. Worth every penny.

I took on Emily as my wedding coordinator in one of the worst times to plan a wedding (thanks COVID!) not to mention I was doing so from across the country. Emily was so helpful in figuring out rescheduling the event and making sure all my vendors were on the same page. When it finally came to the event itself and Emily couldn't make it due to an illness, her colleague Alana did a marvelous job in keeping everything (and everyone) organized. They are both exceptional professionals and made my day so special.

We had a great experience with Emily. My daughter got married in October and I was a pretty involved mom in the whole process, so Emily got the added bonus of dealing with TWO stressed women! Lol But actually, there wasn’t much stress because Emily took care of everything. From sending us amazing vendor recs, looking over contracts, helping fine tune details and coordinating all of the wedding day tasks, we could just relax and be in the moment on the joyful day. Emily was absolutely FANTASTIC! We worked with her for over a year and could not recommend her more. She helped secure rental items faster than we could ever imagine because of her relationships with vendors; she knew our venue backwards and forwards; and she read through every contract to ensure we knew what we were signing up for. Emily was a wonderful resource in planning the day and navigating through the many changes due to Covid. She not only provides her clients with a very helpful software tool to assist in planning all the details, but was invaluable in putting together the timeline, providing vendor suggestions and offering decorating advice. Emily is reasonably priced, and was always very responsive to e-mails, quickly answering our many questions along the way. The result was a wonderful, fun wedding and we could not be more pleased.

As our 1 month wedding anniversary has passed, my husband and I are reflecting on what an amazing month it has been to be married. On May 8th 2021 we said “I do” in front of all of our friends family. To say our wedding day was the best day of our lives is an understatement. We really firmly believe it was great because we had such a great wedding coordinator. At the beginning of this whole process we had a firm budget and really wanted to stick to it. We contemplated even hiring a coordinator because We wanted to save some money but luckily we took a chance and hiring Emily was the best hire. I thank my husband for finding her... Emily went above and beyond, for example, There were some small details I hadnt thought of, our cake table. I had not put much thought into it, and day of Emily decorated it with such beauty it took my breathe away. I was so proud to walk out and see all the little touches she had done and In my head I said that’s exactly what I wanted but never even thought to ask for. My father even brought up Emily’s organization. When he had asked her a question she whipped out her binder that was beautifully organized with every single detail for our wedding. She brought so much knowledge and experience to our wedding you would have thought we hired a 10 person planning team. She even had many recommendations for vendors, and we ended up choosing our floral vendor through her, which was something that meant so much to me. My floral arch was so beautiful. I truly mean it when I say we had the perfect wedding because of Emily, I am so grateful to have had her. And we can’t recommend her enough.

I must have interviewed at least 5 different wedding planners before meeting with Emily. I immediately knew after talking with her that we had to hire her to plan our wedding. She made me feel calm and heard and gave me the confidence I needed to navigate being a COVID bride. Emily was amazing at following up with all our vendors and keeping them posted on the ever changing dates, venues and details. She worked with us on our timeline and made sure our vision was executed. Emily was incredible on the day of keeping us calm through some frustrating vendor issues and keeping us updated while also presenting solutions. Emily and her team are amazing and we are so grateful for all their hard work on and leading up to our big day.Highly recommend her for your event.

My fiancé and I had already met with and sorta hired another wedding planner when we met Emily. It was late Feb, 2020, and we were placed at a table with her for an amazing dinner at The Lodge at Malibou Lake. We all hit it off immediately and when we were leaving that night I had this feeling that we really needed Emily for our wedding day. Fast forward 15months later and holy cow, I don’t know what we would have done without her!!!! Emily was incredible. She kept in constant contact with us through what turned into an extremely difficult year and even through her own personal challenges was always one step ahead and on top of everything. Emily is kind, personable, organized, knowledgeable and the kind of person you want running the show on such an important day. I gave her the worst outlines of how I wanted things to look (my brain was fried!) but when I walked in to our intimate reception it was like she jumped in my head and knew exactly what I was thinking. It was perfect. Our wedding was so far from normal and presented many challenges from pandemics, postponements, location changes, confused parents, our sweet but exhausted 2yr old, zoom ceremonies and everything in between. Emily never faltered and kept the ship sailing with grace. We are beyond thankful to have had her!

2021 Update: We hired Alana again for our vow renewal and couldn't be happier that we did! Alana goes above and beyond for her brides right down to the last detail (who knew she's an experienced calligrapher! :D ). She always maintains an upbeat attitude, has a smile on her face, and sees every challenge as an opportunity. Aside from her can-do spirit, Alana provides a certain calmness that every bride can use from time to time. She reminds you not to sweat the small stuff and assures you that you are in good hands. My husband and I are so appreciate for all of Alana's help through our whirlwind of mid-pandemic wedding planning. She was there every step of the way, and we will always be grateful for her! 2020 Review: Where do I begin?...Like most COVID brides, 2020 threw every challenge at us that I could've ever imagined. From postponing our wedding from May to Oct, to down-sizing our 230-guest count to just under 50, our wedding coordinator, Alana, was our champion and guiding star every step of the way. She was always in our corner to help us talk through our options and to cheer us on, even taking the reigns with coordinating the initial postponement because I was too much of a wreck to face it. I'll never forget how she stepped in when I was feeling completely and utterly defeated. I can't say enough good things about Alana. And Emily - I don't know how many contract revisions she had to make for us, but I am SO appreciative of her flexibility given all of the never-ending restriction changes. Emily and Alana run a very well-oiled machine, and my OCD/Type A personality has a very keen appreciation of that :) ...fast forwarding to the day of the wedding: Alana NAILED it. She jumped in front of every issue that came up and GOT. IT. DONE. From steaming every single dress (unsolicited!), to curating an alternate photo plan given a sudden rainy/cold day, to handling a full timeline revision due to new COVID restrictions just 24 hours in advance, I could not have asked for better support. Alana played a critical role in helping my vision come to life while allowing me to sit back and enjoy all the hard work I had put into the day. There's nothing she didn't handle (even a crotchety photographer who didn't think the mask rule applied to him -_-). Alana gets 5 stars all around and a rave review from me - I couldn't have asked for more!! <3

What started as a very unique and beautiful whimsical dream wedding quickly turned into a COVID adventure. From the start Emily understood our Disney and quirky personalities and we bonded instantly. It was like we have been friends for years. We had so much fun with her at our tastings, venue tour, etc. Then COVID hit. She would message me frequently and check in. Listen to me cry, and share in the little accomplishments. She helped us turn things right side up again and have the most beautiful non-traditional wedding during a very unusual time in life. She was my rock and my friend and I miss her already. Anything I needed she didn't hesitate to help. She even let this OCD planner know when it was ok to wait on things a little bit longer. ;) Emily you are a dream! My only regret is that we didn't get any day of pictures together. Thank you for all of your hard work and support. We love you! 10 Stars!

This is sort of a "partial" review because we haven't had our big day yet, but Emily has been so gracious, flexible, and supportive throughout this process (particularly with the pandemic). Our wedding was scheduled for March 2020, RIGHT after the COVID safety restrictions on gatherings were put in place, and we had to navigate on the fly. Emily was a huge help with figuring out how to proceed, contacting the vendors as necessary, and just being a friendly person in our corner as our dream wedding got postponed by a virus we couldn't control. Prior to that whole fiasco, Emily was also really helpful with helping us figure out the layout (for a backyard wedding!), contingency plans, and vendor plans. She's warm, level-headed, and practical. Exactly what we need! We're looking forward to our big celebration still, with Emily, once we can have it safely.
