We could not have pulled off our big day without Stag & Lily! Having Nicole's help and expertise for the three months leading up to our wedding was extremely beneficial. She pointed us to all the right vendors, helped us hone in on what we needed to prioritize in planning, and was an extremely calming source of advice during what could have been an otherwise hectic process. On the day of our wedding, we were able to completely relax and enjoy celebrating the beginning of our new life together without having to worry about a single thing. Nicole and her team made sure that everything went off without a single hitch, and we are so thankful that Stag & Lily made our day perfect!

Stag and Lily was so amazing to work with for my wedding day. I’m a perfectionist and was blown away by Nicole. She was so organized and extremely detail oriented. She made sure to have every detail touched on and covered — from ceiling to floor and across all vendors everything was exactly how I envisioned. We had several months of planning and phone calls and at the very end, I think Nicole knew more about my wedding than I did. So extremely professional and my wedding ran flawlessly. Everyone kept telling me that the wedding may not be perfect and to just go with the flow, so I went in with that mindset, but Nicole absolutely killed it and it was perfect. Everything went exactly as planned.

From the first moment that I spoke with Nicole, all the way thru the planning process, and then afterwards, she has been nothing but amazing. I booked Stag & Lily to help with Management and Coordination and it was literally the best money I spent for our wedding. We already knew mostly what we wanted and already had a vision for our day, we just needed someone to help us bring that vision to light and coordinate day of. Boy did I underestimate the amount of work and planning that was going to be necessary and how badly I needed Nicole! She was like a lighthouse on a stormy night; she kept me focused and guided me straight to where I needed to go. We spoke for about an hour early in the planning process to get to know each other and went over every aspect that I already had planned or had an idea of what I wanted. She then directed me to my personal planning page on her website that included a very daunting amount of spreadsheets but boy were those spreadsheets useful! Nicole’s spreadsheets are AMAZING and a Godsend! I slowly started chipping away filling out everything from “what if this happens on wedding day, how would you like me to proceed?”, to seating charts, to decor inventory. By the time the 3 month mark hit I had my spreadsheets filled out as best as I could and Nicole really guided me into home base. She took over communication with vendors, built us a custom timeline (that was like GOLD on wedding day), arrived at our venue and managed our day like a BOSS, and then stayed until after 1 am to pack everything up and load all of our personal decor. At one point on wedding day, the 2 flower girls got a little rambunctious waiting for their moment and one of them ripped their dress, literally front and center. Of course it had to happen about 20 minutes before we were supposed to walk down the aisle and Nicole rushed in with laser beam focus, quickly patched up the dress so no one would know and buzzed right out and back to her task at hand, just as quickly as she had shown up. Little moments like that truly show how prepared and experienced she was/is. Nicole and her team really took the stress out of wedding day and I trusted her 1 million %. From our first venue walk thru, to every phone call, text message, and email, she was nothing but friendly, professional, and a wealth of knowledge. To see her interact with all of our vendors and see the relationships that she has built with all of them over the years is a true testament to just how amazing she is at her job. Everyone seemed to trust and respect her and all of my vendors were genuinely happy to know that I had chosen Stag and Lily as my coordination team. If you’re thinking about hiring a team to help or trying to figure out if you even need a team, the answer is YES, you need a team and Stag and Lily Event Company will not disappoint.

We used Stag and Lily for their wedding planning services! I had all of these ideas- but wasn’t sure how I would pull it all together. Nicole made our special day- the best day of our lives! The attention to detail Nicole puts into her clients is unmatched. I honestly could not have imagined our day without her! After we booked our day with Stag and Lily- one thing we noticed going forward was the reaction of our other vendors when we told them Nicole would be representing us- her experience, professionalism and detail speak for themselves! I approached Nicole for planning my wedding at Upper Shirley Vineyards this April after every Bride’s nightmare-the event planner we had previously been working with had been so inattentive and unhelpful, we had to part ways. My first call with Nicole, every concern I had about finding the right planner melted away. Not only is Nicole insanely organized (her planning tools are unbelievably impressive, and cover topics most people would never think of on their own) but she is incredibly kind, down to earth, and acts as a true partner throughout the planning process. I thoroughly enjoyed my daughter’s wedding and the wedding planning process because of Stag & Lily. Nicole is a master planner and kept us on track — stress free. There is no way my husband and I would have had the amazing wedding we did without Stag & Lily. We hired Stag & Lily as our day of coordinator and Nicole did a wonderful job! I 100% recommend getting a day of coordinator and especially recommend Stag & Lily. Hands down the best decision we made was hiring Stag and Lily. We hired Nicole for the guided partial planning upgrade and could not have enjoyed our wedding day as much as we did without her and her team. She asked us in the beginning what was most important to us, truly heard what we said, and kept us on track to achieve exactly that. She helped us find and secure vendors that fit our budget and aesthetic and handled communications and coordinating with them (and us!) expertly. Her attention to detail can’t be matched, and neither can her ability to ensure those details fulfill the larger vision. As just one example, we heard from a guest afterwards that a member of the Stag and Lily team helped to ensure our reception maintained the full benefits of the private event space we reserved even though the outdoor space wasn’t fully ours. Standing outside between our private event space and where other members of the public might spill over, the Stag and Lily team ensured our wedding got the full private event treatment (thanks, Matt!). Having fully enjoyed our big day almost entirely because of Nicole, our only regret is not having hired her for full planning services!

Nicole was a huge help in planning our wedding and - perhaps even more importantly - in making the big day go totally smoothly without a problem. She was flexible in working with us to plan the day to be exactly what we wanted, including a few things that we wanted done differently than a standard wedding. On the day-of, everything was so organized and Nicole was so familiar with exactly what we wanted and needed that we didn't have to make any new decisions or deal with any new stress - she and her team had it totally under control and we just went with the flow and enjoyed ourselves. We loved working with Nicole, and sincerely cannot imagine having done the wedding without her.

Is it possible to rate 10 stars?!?! Nicole/Stag & Lily were absolutely amazing to work with for my wedding this past weekend. I am so lucky I found Nicole through my vendor (Upper Shirley's Vineyard) preferred list because she is outstanding and made my wedding day absolutely perfect!! Nicole handled my day of coordination (she even provided feedback for vendor recommendations too since I am not from Richmond) and everything about my wedding went stellar. Her documentation, responsiveness, patience (I am a Program Mgr and I ask a TON of questions/like to plan), detailed timeline, attention to details, ability to plan so ceremony and reception flow seamlessly, decor plans and setup (it literally was perfect), etc. are just a few of the many reasons why Nicole and her team (Danielle) were magnificent! She addressed things that I had forgotten or didn't fully think through. I even had a dress mishap right after first look and her team fixed it no time, as well as handled everything with such poise and continuously checked in with me the entire reception. Her follow ups with vendors starting 60 days out were also helpful and always took time to answer my emails and calls (needless to say our planning meetings went long too!) so attentively and promptly, I am actually sad I won't get to work with her anymore and absolutely 110% recommend her for planning services!!! MUST HAVE!!!!!!!!

I had the pleasure of working with Danielle for the first time yesterday at a venue in Orange, Virginia. It was crucial that the wedding start on time as I had another wedding to officiate close behind. Danielle was aware of this and made sure all of the guests were seated and the bridal party was lined up by exactly 4:00 p.m. She was professional and yet very friendly and fun to work with. She was totally focused and calm amongst the chaos of the moments before the beginning of the processional. As a fellow wedding professional, I highly recommend this planner.

We found Nicole through our venue, North Point Plantation. We hired Nicole to do partial planning and day of coordination for our wedding. My husband and I were living over 2 hours away from Richmond while planning our wedding and we therefore needed a flexible planner to help us in person and over the phone. We had countless meetings with Nicole over our 2 year planning period and she truly helped to bring our vision to life. While planning, she helped us to choose a lot of our vendors for the wedding. Her connections to the wedding community were priceless and helped to make our day extra special. I would recommend Stag & Lily to EVERYONE that I know. Nicole is prompt, professional, honest, and I can't imagine our wedding day without her and her team! One of the biggest comments we got about our wedding was how seamless the transitions were from the Ceremony to the Cocktail Hour to the Reception Hall. Nicole ensured that anything we needed was taken care of before our big day, during our big day, and even the breakdown of everything after the reception ended. OMG! The preparation for our wedding day and the execution of the day was fantastic! Though we already had most of our vendors, her connections in the wedding market are invaluable. I had the pleasure of booking Nicole, owner and event planner of Stag and Lily. Words can not begin to describe how great of a job she did executing our ideas. We booked her for a day or coordinator, however Nicole was available and more than willing to participate in other activities such as picking out invitations months before the wedding. She has many resource and tricks to help save a dollar or two. Her fun and bubbly personality make it easy to work with her and stress free. She has impeccable organization skills as well. She is very flexible as well. My husband changed his mind on several small details on the day of the wedding. Nicole took it in stride and handled all communication and details. I also received compliments from my photographer and hair stylist that it was great to working with Nicole and having her coordinate timelines and communication. I would highly recommend that you have a wedding planner and if I had to do it over again I would choose Stag and Lily.
