Amy was Executive Editor at Conde Nast’s Brides Local magazines from 2006 to 2011, where she top-edited all content and produced fashion, jewelry, and lifestyle content. She was also a Senior Editor at Bridal Guide magazine, and was part of the editorial team at The Knot, where she helped launch The Knot magazine.
Amy has written four books: A Warm Welcome, Baby Showers, and A Passion for Charms, published by Ryland Peters & Small, and A Girl's Guide to Retail Therapy, published by Barnes & Noble Books. She is a member of the American Association of Jewelry Historians.

Amy graduated from Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English.
