Jaime Buerger is a writer and editor with experience covering lifestyle-related topics. She has recently expanded into climate and environmental justice and personal finance topics. Jaime currently works as a contract Project and Content Manager for Fix, Grist’s solutions lab. She also continues to contribute to brands like The Knot, The Bump, ELLE.com, Etsy, Mental Floss, and MarthaStewart.com as a freelance writer and editor. Jaime lives in Brooklyn with her husband, cat, and corgi.
Experience
Jaime first worked as a US Weekly Staff Writer for Wenner Media. She wrote content for various sections of the brand’s website and secured celebrity interviews for both the magazine and website. She then joined About.com’s Celebrity Style Guide team. After this position, Jaime was hired as the Deputy Editor for Martha Stewart Weddings. She contributed posts, slideshows, and reported features to the website. Jaime spent over four years in the position before being hired as a Managing Editor for NationSwell. She was later promoted to Editor-at-Large. In January 2019, Jaime started freelance writing and editing for a variety of digital brands. In addition to this work, in November 2019 she entered her current position as a Project and Content Manager for Grist. She manages special projects and daily content for Fix, Grist’s solutions lab dedicated to covering emerging leaders in the fight against climate change.
Jaime has also written branded/sponsored content for clients such as Toyota, Fannie Mae, Ally Bank, Crate & Barrel and NBCUniversal.

Jaime graduated from Indiana University Bloomington with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and holds a Master’s Degree in Journalism from Columbia University.
