Katherine is an editorial production assistant at The Knot Worldwide, producing digital articles for The Knot's website. With experience in social media, copywriting, public relations and editing, Katherine is a communications professional who has a passion for service journalism and digital content creation in the lifestyle industry.
A resident of the Boston, Massachusetts area, Katherine is obsessed with all things beauty and fashion and loves looking at the latest wedding trends online. When not glued to her laptop, Katherine enjoys trying new restaurants, going to the beach with her friends and reading a good book.
Experience
From a young age, Katherine excelled in reading and writing and dreamed of working in the publishing industry someday. However, she found her love for the wedding industry from being a wedding server at a local venue in Massachusetts during the summer. She later began her career in the media industry during college by interning for Brittany Lo, founder and CEO of Beautini, a wedding beauty service company. After gaining social media and copywriting skills, she turned to the public relations field, interning for CM Communications and specializing in travel and hospitality clients.
It was at The Knot during her senior year of college that Katherine realized the wedding industry truly combined all of her favorite interests into one—fashion, beauty, food, decor and relationships.
Education
Katherine is a soon-to-be graduate of Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut, where she is pursuing a dual degree in Communication and Digital Journalism. During her college years, Katherine served as an Associate Editor for Dogwood, the University's annual national literary journal, as well as the Beauty and Fashion Editor of the Fairfield University Her Campus chapter.
