I coordinated my best friend's wedding here and, as a wedding planner AND a MOH, my standards were extremely high. They were immediately surpassed! Katherine and her staff are so friendly, professional, eager to please the client, and most importantly, they hustle!! Most of my directions and mental notes were taken care of before I could even communicate them. I was sad when the night ended because I no longer had the venue team to read my mind. I cannot recommend 150 Sunset and their team enough!!
These event coordinators and the whole event team was SO amazing! I really gave them a Pinterest board and they made it a reality! Our wedding was so beautiful. Thank you girls 100x for making our big day so perfect!
The love of my life and I celebrated our wedding at 150 Sunset this past weekend and just wow...it was an absolute blast and huge hit...the staff was amazing and the event coordinator we were assigned (Gabbi) was God sent. My husband and I are both in the military and had a 6 month engagement to plan our El Paso wedding while he was stationed in Alabama, and I in Virginia. It was quite a challenge. One that we would not have been able to tackle without the help of 150 Sunset. They are the one stop shop for everything. We didn’t have to worry about booking a caterer, florist, or decor because they do it all! They catered to our ever request and were extremely available over the phone, text, and e-mails which was deeply appreciated by us given the distance we were at while planning our wedding here. We had a lot of out of town guest and they left with the best of impressions of El Paso thanks to the excellent service 150 Sunset provided. We had many people come up to us and tell us this was by far the best wedding they had been to. Everyone had a great time. If you want a low stress wedding with absolutely fantastic results this is the place to book!
The venue was stunning and the food was great. The day of coordinator, Gabbi and her assistant Leslie, were on top of everything. We had some last minute hiccups and they resolved them without me even stressing about it. I was to have an outdoor ceremony, but due to rain had to move inside. No one even knew it was a last minute change. I received so many compliments on everything and it was all because of Gabbi and Leslie. The DJ the selected was awesome. He played everything we had requested and got people up and dancing. It was as perfect as it could get.
Gabbi and Leanne did an AMAZING job. They delivered exactly what I had in mind for our wedding. They worked with my outside vendors and were so quick to help me with any an every change I made, provided great recommendations for our photo booth and cake, and they were so responsive with all of my questions and favors. I would highly recommend! I also got several compliments on how wonderful and beautiful the wedding was for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and the reception. Absolutely loved everything about 150 Sunset. I’m honestly sad that this is all over, because I felt like more than just a client, Gabbi and Leanne are truly wonderful people.
Absolutely AMAZING. We were looking for a venue to have our wedding at and came across 150 Sunset. Gabbi (the event coordinator) and Leanne (the event designer) did an amazing job in creating the vision we were looking for and everything from the ceremony space to the reception came out GORGEOUS. We couldn't be any happier with ALL the services offered and given before, day of and after. They were very attentive and organized in helping us keep our day less stressful. The day of our wedding, our server( i believe his name was Tony, i hope im not mistaken) was awesome. The bartenders and in house DJ Rick did everything we requested. Everything and everyone made our day one to remember. Thank you staff at 150 Sunset
We got married on October 5, value of our wedding would be a new used car I’d say and I was absolutely disappointed in the staff and service.
Guest book and such was on a table separate from the gift table which doesn’t make sense and resulted in us having to tell guests where everything was. At least put up a sign to point everyone in the right direction!
The DJ was extremely loud and had a horrible rotation of music. Didn’t get anyone’s name right despite having been given a sheet.
I definitely recommend picking your own dj and any other third party vendors allowed with the strict contract.
My mother in law put up a sign and it was immediately taken down so no one even got a picture of it.
The restaurant was still open during the ceremony and reception, random guests would even walk through while we were taking pictures! You’d think the staff or coordinator would do something to curb this if they insist on being open during an event.
Leanne, was my decorator/coordinator bc the other coordinator Gabbi took off to a friends wedding out of state.
My husband was running late due to traffic and not one staff member let me know when he arrived, a family friend is who let me know.
Since the traffic was such a huge issue I was asked if I wanted to wait a bit to give everyone time and none of the staff informed my wedding party so they were all wandering aimlessly, out of the loop. They eventually came back to the bridal suite and asked what was going on.
There’s no bathrooms in the event area. Why should we have to leave the area at all? It’s a big enough area.
Staff offered guests coffee then told us it was requested THEN proceeded to let us know there’d be a surcharge. $32 for friggin coffee, I mean cmon!
Honestly, I had a wonderful wedding. The memories will stay with me for many years to come but quality of service is desperately lacking. Coordinator had a disappearing act, staff was aloof, confused. I’m sorely disappointed.
First of all we would like to thank everyone involved in the planning of our wedding. A special thanks to Gabbi Rodriguez, our event coordinator. She truly made our wedding day and the days leading up to it an amazing, stress-free experience! She planned just about everything for us. To our event decorator, Julieanne Munoz, thank you for allowing our vision to come true. Our guests loved our beautiful wedding venue, delicious food, and friendly wait-staff. We HIGHLY recommend 150 Sunset to plan your wedding or next event.
150 Sunset – This venue was well worth the price!! Can fit about 250 – 300 people. All staff members were professional and polite. They work well with other vendors i.e. photographer, videographer, cake vendor, mariachi band, etc.
Food and drink must be ordered through the venue’s kitchen. We were able to taste test ahead of time to help decide what items to choose from including the alcoholic beverages – the mojitos and sangria are great! Instead of ordering plates for each guest, we worked with the event coordinator, Gabbi Rodriguez, to create a menu of finger appetizer foods at different stations with servers at each station, so that guests can mingle and choose their own food. We had a soup and salad bar, queso and tostadas, bacon wrapped shrimp, green chile chicken empanadas, AND a slider station w/ shoestring and sweet potato fries (my husband’s favorite food is burgers and mine is fries). For our budget, this was a more cost-effective method of feeding our guests. And everything was DELICIOUS!
As for the décor, Gabbi and the event design coordinator, Juliaenne Munoz, were amazing and asked specific questions of the vision we had for our reception. We were able to provide our own centerpieces and table numbers the day before, as well as our own desserts for our dessert bar. Gabbi and Juliaenne along with their team worked tirelessly throughout the night setting up linens, centerpieces with flowers, chair ties, dessert bar, etc. to create a wonderful atmosphere! I worked with Juliaenne for our centerpiece flowers as well as my bridal bouquet and bridal party flowers. We had a mock set up for our reception a few months prior to the wedding, and I was surprised at how perfect (even better than what I envisioned) the linens and flowers were. The day of the wedding, the bridal bouquet and my bridesmaids’ bouquets were so vibrant and beautiful!
A DJ was also part of our package for 4 hours. He did send me an Excel spreadsheet to fill out with any specific songs that I wanted for the night. He was polite and on time starting his services. He was able to make my request about merging two songs for our first dance and without practicing once, it turned out great! I do wish we had spent a little more time working on our list of songs and having more communication with DJ Ivan. (we left it a little too last minute)
I am originally from El Paso but live in San Antonio. There were MANY email conversations between myself, my maid of honor (sister), Gabbi, and Juliaenne. They were always professional and willing to answer my many questions and make changes with whatever I asked. If it was something that needed quick attention to, they were available by phone but were very prompt to respond to emails by the end of the business day or the very next day.
My husband and I were extremely happy with our choice of venue and would choose it again. You won’t be disappointed!
Gabby and her team did an incredible job with our wedding! The amount of time and communication they gave us was the most reassuring part of planning. There was never a question too big or too small for us to ask, and the week of our wedding Gabby was available for everything we needed. Their kitchen was incredible for our tasting, and we were blown away with how well everything came out, even with us have 250 guests! The venue is gorgeous, and the layout of the place is what dreams are made of! I loved that we could have our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all in the same place! During the reception there was an incredible flow, with guest being able to dance, sit and watch, or even socialize outside in the gardens area. It was a beautiful venue, and incredible staff that I would recommend for any event!
We held our wedding reception at 150 Sunset and could not have been happier. The venue was beautiful, the service impeccable, and the food was delicious! We planned the wedding from Austin and had anticipated this would make the planning process far more difficult, but with the help of Gabbi (event coordinator) the entire planning process was easy! She and Julianne (designer) were incredibly responsive and helpful. Gabbi even coordinated with our other vendors (photographer, mariachis, bakery) to ensure everything stayed on track the day of our wedding! The reception went smoothly, the in-house DJ was awesome, and our family & friends had the best time! We HIGHLY recommend 150 Sunset!!
150 Sunset is definitely the perfect place to have your wedding at. The staff is amazing!! Gabby was extremely helpful, and lowered my stress level by helping me with all the last minute details. She is amazing!! The food was delicious, definitely the best I've ever had at a wedding. The venue is gorgeous, there are so many options to make your wedding one in a million. I definitely had my fairy tale wedding!
Well worth the price! Very willing to work with me, and I did not have a planner. Attentive to detail, listened to what I wanted, and went beyond my expectations. Everyone loved the decor and the food. They even did floral arrangements for wedding party.
We had our 25th Wedding Anniversary Celebration at 150 Sunset. This venue was the perfect location for our event which took place in late November 2015. Thanks to Gabbi, Victoria and Chef David for working with me to achieve our vision for this special day. Planned and executed in just over a month. The venue staff and management were pivotal in getting our party off the ground. The early evening allowed for the elegant accents outside to lead the way to the beautiful settings inside. The decorations were exquisite and unique to the venue. The day of the event we had staff standing by to help with anything and everything we needed. They were attentive and reacted promptly to unforeseen issues. Needless to say our party proceeded the entire night without a hitch. The ceremony area was romantically perfect for our vow renewal. The reception area had the "WOW" factor we were looking for with the tables settings so beautiful. Truly the ambiance was just what we envisioned! The food prepared by Chef David was incredibly delicious. Our event was a great success. We definitely recommend this venue and its staff for future events. Thank you so much, we had an amazing time!!!

This venue combined affordability and elegance. We had a very unique vision (wedding on Halloween). We wanted an elegant wedding with a hint of halloween since our wedding fell on October 31. There were a few tiny bumps in the road due to changes in the people that were handling decor, but once the new person got there, she worked with us to get the exact design we envisioned. The chef designed several dinner options per our requests (fried chicken and waffles, pulled pork sandwiches, steak tampiquena, and fried catfish) and the food tasted great! Other than a small mix up with one of the sides, everything that was served was perfect. Our wedding was so much fun and we'll always remember it thanks to the people at 150 Sunset!
A great venue that is very different in El Paso. One stop shop! Great place that is very up and coming! Perfect for bigger parties
The wedding and reception venue at 150 Sunset is beautiful. It is especially nice for someone looking for an outdoor feel with indoor comfort. While the outside of the building has a warehouse look, it is compensated for by the pretty patio area attached to their restaurant, several fountains, and a small lawn. Inside is made up of a large space with lots of plants and rustic but elegant furnishings. Lorena, the designer, is excellent and did a great job with decorations for the wedding and reception. Gabby, the event coordinator, is very nice and helpful. The food served during the reception was excellent, though some portions were a little small. The only thing I regret is not asking if anyone from the venue would be in charge of coordinating the cake cutting, toasts, bouquet toss, etc. As a result, there were some awkward moments during the reception when cake plates and utensils were not out for the cake cutting, I had to turn off the music playing during the meal when it was time for dancing, etc. It was a bit of a "ship without a captain" situation, but I mostly blame myself for not clarifying this beforehand. This is the only reason I did not give 150 Sunset 5 stars, and I would definitely recommend them.
When we got engaged we looked at numerous ballrooms and they all just looked the same - the same decor - the same feel. As soon as we walked into 150 Sunset my breath was taken away. It is so beautiful and exactly as I dreamed our wedding would be - vintage garden theme but with the perks of being indoors. They were so helpful and took care of everything from the ceremony, food, drinks, decor, flowers for the bridal party. Lorena is so talented and has a great vision! We didn't have to worry about a thing except to pick and choose what we liked at didn't. Aside from a little misunderstanding in the contract everything was perfect! It was one of the best days of my life :)
The only thing that everyone said that attended our wedding was WOW! Some people said it was the best wedding they had ever been to! 150 Sunset did a great job hosting our special day. The food was OUTSTANDING and was no different from the day we did our tasting to the day of the actual wedding. The venue looks like it's just a plain warehouse, and it is, but it comes alive when Lorena and her team of designers bring all the twinkle lights and flowers together. Everyone there was so very sweet and easy to work with. Danny and Gabi (the owners) helped my family and I stay within our very strict budget and Gabbi, the event coordinator helped to make sure everything came together nicely.
We had our ceremony at 150 Sunset as well and that will really be the only complaint I have. The ceremony area is not very ceremony-ish (I know..it's a warehouse). There is a gazebo for the alter (which I did not like but would have been really expensive to take down) and behind the gazebo are just some white curtains as the back drop. When the pictures of us at the alter came out, I realized how much I REALLY, REALLY did not like the backdrop for the alter. The pillars of the gazebo were draped in a cream color and the curtain backdrop was stark white, and in our photos, those two colors clash pretty badly. Also, during our ceremony, there were people in the reception area (which is the same room as the ceremony separated by a curtain) setting up our tables. There was a lot of clanking around of silverware and glasses and while my husband and I didn't notice (I guess we were too nervous!), I had several family members that commented on that separately saying they had trouble hearing the words of our officiant due to the noise in the reception area. These minor details most definitely did not ruin our day by any stretch but if we did it over again, we would not have the ceremony there. Aside from aesthetics, and noise during the ceremony, everything else was great! I definitely would recommend them as a fantastic crew to work with and a fantastic wedding reception venue!
nice sweet place
LOVED 150 sunset! The venue is unique, beautiful and gives you the 'outdoor' feel while still having AC!
