My husband and I, and our families and friends, cannot stop gushing about how beautiful and perfect our wedding was at the the Crescent Hotel. We worked on planning for about ten months, and Susan Dickson, our coordinator at the hotel, was a dr...
eam to work with. She is the best!! She answered our questions in a timely manner, provided helpful suggestions, and patiently let me change my mind a hundred times (as brides do). We had our rehearsal dinner in the Conservatory, and then our ceremony and reception in the Crystal Ballroom, and they were PERFECT for the events. The catering staff, along with Susan, met with us before the weekend started and it really helped ease my nerves. When it came time for both events, the catering staff did a PHENOMENAL job. Jared and Jesse were pillars of support for us, ensuring that everything went smoothly, and accommodated us more than I had even anticipated. It brings me to tears to reflect on how wonderful everything was, and I couldn't recommend the Crescent more! It was truly the perfect venue for our wedding weekend. I'm absolutely overwhelmed with gratitude for the team at the Crescent.

escent Hotel for the reception. From the first email, Jodie was wonderful to work with. She made the entire process of planning the reception & dinner so easy! The Crescent Hotel & Conservatory room are absolutely beautiful and the food was delicious. But what made the experience the best was their staff. They went above & beyond to accommodate the special needs we had with ageing Grandparents. We didn't realize until the reception was over, the many special things they did to make everyone feel special and comfortable. Jodie & the staff at the Crescent Hotel were amazing & made our daughter's wedding incredibly special!!

s I had repeatedly told her about with our wedding. But the weekend of, everything turned out perfectly. All of the guests thought it was a really cool venue as well. The only downside was that after quiet hours, the door between the conservatory and boardwalk had to be closed, which made the conservatory super hot during the reception. Bottom line: go for the hotel, but stay far away from the spa.

gh every step of the way. Jared was our event manager for the evening and he assisted with set up and all of our needs during the weekend of the event. We chose the Women's Conservatory for our reception and it was the perfect size and atmosphere for our celebration and a smaller option than the Ballroom. We even had full access to the boardwalk and gazebo outside. The weather that night was perfect so we could take advantage of the walkway and gazebo all evening. Please keep in mind that the hotel food and beverage service must be utilized for events booked at the hotel. This is standard practice but can be a little more expensive than outside catering vendors. The food and services are definitely out of this world so you won't be disappointed!!

usan was a big help while I was planning the wedding. However, the weekend of my wedding, I saw several other weddings and receptions taking place there, so the staff was too busy to give my wedding any attention during our reception. We were suppose to have waiters during and after the meal, but they were nowhere to ever be found. Alot of my guests left while we were waiting to do a toast because it took so long to get our champagne which was sad. If you do want to book this hotel for your wedding or reception, I would highly recommend booking it during the "off season" or during the week where wasn't as many weddings so they could focus more on yours.

g of what looked like trash!! If I'd been more on my toes I would have stopped him from carrying trash thru my formal wedding ceremony!! When it came time to toast I had to wait several minutes for a server to show up to open our bottle of champagne w every1 just standing there waiting looking at us. The hotel also messed up several guest room reservations. My guests told me that the tuna dollar rolls tasted horrible, how hard is it to mess up tuna salad!! When I asked the coordinator about doing a food sampling she told be to buy dinner at the restaurant but I was ordering buffet hor derves. We also paid for sparkling juice to be served to the kids instead of champagne & half of the children did not get served anything right before the toast (I had a pretty big kid crowd). The coordinator told me that they would fix me & the groom a plate b4 the pickings were slim & I had to ask the somewhen where that food was way later & 10minutes late they came back with food but didn't have the best items (bc they were already gone). If you are expecting the best in service on your big day DO NOT pick this hotel! If you want a gorgeous location with tons of history, this is your spot!!

nto another job and no one contacted me about it. After she left, many of the things I was promised, I was told they would not happen. Eventually we were able to come to a compromise. On the day of the wedding I met with the coordinator and I thought everything was set. I went to check on everything and my champagne glasses were missing, the favors weren't set up, and they pushed the grooms cake into a corner where no one could see it. Once we got there, we had to wait 20 minutes for the food that I had already asked to be ready for us. It was ice cold and only food for one, not two. The servers were no where to be seen. My guests were not being offered tea or coffee as I paid for. My mom had to go into the kitchen to get them out on the floor to do their job, and they told her she wasn't allowed back there instead of going out and taking care of my guests. They misplaced my champagne glasses and used some of theirs instead and didn't have any plates for the cake to go on. I had to tell everyone what to do because they didn't have a clue. While I was supposed to be having fun I was having to tell the servers what they were supposed to be doing and trying to get everything together. And to top it off we asked to save the extra cake and food, and after the send off my mom came back in and they had already thrown everything away. After my mother and I both specifically asked for it to be boxed for us. I would use the location over and over again, but I would never trust the service to do anything for me again. I might consider using them if there was a coordinator to take care of those kind of things for me.

the tables, chairs, linens, cake, bouquet, boutonniere, musician, champagne and punch (for 25 people.) The staff were helpful and courteous, however there was a glitch with the payment system so I suggest you mail a check for each payment instead of paying by card over the phone. There was a last minute crisis with the musician, the hotel said she over booked herself but the musician said she was never notified of us.... The Crescent took care of the problem and found us a perfect replacement! I have talked to other people who had issues with the musician there as well, the Crescent either found a replacement or offered a free nights stay. Other than that, it was everything we wanted! I would definitely recommend the Crescent Hotel to others, just be aware of possible glitches. The New Moon Spa on the bottom floor of the hotel did my hair, nails and makeup for the wedding, the ladies there did a fantastic job, I felt and looked beautiful!
