The staff at the Basin Park Hotel are the kindest and most helpful people I have even met. Being so young I have met many venue people yet, but it’s safe to assume they are some of the best because they were so willing to help with everything. And our stay was great they took us to different places using their hotel shuttle even to places where the shuttle doesn’t usually go. Everyone in Eureka Springs is so kind!
We had our reception in the ballroom, and it was just beautiful! We had a smaller guest list, and I was concerned about the space feeling too empty. The team there did an incredible job in setting up the room so that it did not feel too big for our party. You have the whole upstairs for your use, which was great to have the food and the bar in a separate room, and gave guests more room to walk around or spread out. The natural lighting is beautiful and we were so happy with how everything turned out.
Amazing venue, though customer service for guests could have been better. Make sure people know where to park and how to get to the parking lot, and that there’s a shuttle. The people at the front desk were not clear when explaining this to some of our guests.
Accommodating for our 75 person wedding-bought a wonderful winter wedding package that took care of our ceremony, reception and catering. We planned this all 5 hours away-could not have asked for better hospitality!
No, even though the food was great and the staff was professional, the fact that the A/C was not working in the ballroom in July on the evening of my reception outweighed all the other good things. Everyone was hot and frustrated. I was worried about my grandparents getting too hot. It was difficult to enjoy the delicious food while we were sweating so much during the meal. I was so hot, I had to take off part of my dress so In the pictures I'm wearing just the slip that goes underneath. There was a 5gallon bucket in the women's restroom catching the drippings form the unit that was probably froze. The bucket wasn't catching it all. It was dripping on people as they walked in and all over the floor. Also, the space was supposed to be just for our party but their were groups of people doing ghost tours that kept coming through and strangers in the bar area. Honestly I thought the hotel would offer me some kind of partial refund for the inconvenience. I did not ask but everyone I've told has said the hotel should have given you a discount after all that.
Great
My girls and I had a bachelorette weekend in Eureka. We LOVED our stay! The staff was wonderful, and the facials from the in house spa were spectacular and reasonably priced.
The Hotel staff was great for the most part although the wedding coordinator was somewhat scatter brained and hard to get ahold of. Also we had some issues with the security guard being very rude.
We had our reception in the Barefoot Ballroom, and it was fabulous! They let us decorate the night before since the room wasn't being used. We were stress free with that. The staff was nice and the food was excellent! Our guests went on and on about that. I would highly recommend!
Terra at the Basin Park Hotel was excellent. She was patient with me as I had some last minute changes in catering needs. The rest of the staff at the hotel was awesome as well. The reception was in the Ozark Room. My wedding cake was made the morning of the wedding. It was so FRESH! It was probably one of the most delicious wedding cakes I've ever had. Would definitely recommend!!
This hotel is simply beautiful and the overall service was fantastic! I booked the Barefoot Ballroom package and it was well worth it. I did have one issue with the DJ who was contracted through the hotel wedding service. The DJ was late, as in he arrived at the time the wedding was supposed to start. The rest of the staff was wonderful!
Such a wonderful view! Enjoyed looking out over the balcony and listening to music play, live in Basin Park! :) Would definitely go back! And,,,a fantastic restaurant!
The Basin has been a favorite even before the wedding. Awesome architecture, hospitable staff and an amazing setting.
Planning a wedding 3000 miles away can be a nightmare, but not if you are dealing with The Basin and Crescent Hotel. The Basin hosted our reception and housed all of our guests for the extended weekend.
Every question was answered every nerve was put to ease. When we arrived we found that we received customer service above exceptional. The staff from both sites were always friendly, helpful and concerned with all of my needs no matter how small they seamed.
I feel in love with the historic side and feel of the hotel as well. It offered so much personality. My only complaint was that we could not stay longer then 3 days.
Everything about my day was perfect and the staff at the hotel is amazing!!! Everyone was so incredibly helpful!!
I had my reception at the Basin Park for my weddingin Sept. 2011. Everything was exactly as I hoped it would be and came out more beautiful than I imagined. I had 100 people so we used the Barefoot Ballroom, and decorated the tables with candles and small flowers. The staff really went out of the way to have everything set up for me, so I felt like I didn't have to worry about anything. Susan was my planner, and she took care of everything! The only thing I didn't like is that we couldn't by liquer by the bottle (only by the drink) but it ended up being no problem. I would tell anyone to use them!
All of the rooms were very charming. The hotel was old, and I loved it. The location was perfect, and all of my guest love it.
Everybody at the Basin Park was great! The service was great and the food was fantastic. The only problem we had was when the elevator broke and our guests had to climb up and down stairs all weekend (7 flights to get to the ballroom.) Obviously that kind of thing can happen in a 100 year old hotel, and the staff was very good about helping people carry their bags. Including ballroom rental fee, a buffet meal, and open bar service for 75 people our total cost was just under $5K which I thought was a pretty good deal for a beautiful reception!
So beautiful and fun environment...I also did my catering through their hotel restaurant and they took care of everything, serving cake even had an announcer and took care of our music too! They definitely went out of their way to make our reception wonderful! :-)
