Summary: Coming here was truly a dream, so the business name is very fitting! Andrew is an angel and made this experience for me so magical and easy. I am very grateful that I came across this business on Google as this was the only place I had to visit to find “the one”!. He was very attentive, kind, and made the process fun and memorable not only for me, but for my family and friends that came with me! He is truly passionate in his work and really has an eye for choosing the perfect dresses. If you are a bride to be, I would HIGHLY recommend coming here. I was working with a budget of $1200 and Andrew made it happen! I feel beyond blessed to have met Andrew. He is so professional and made this so seamless and enjoyable. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
Long Version: This was the first and last place I looked for bridal dress shopping! It really felt like all the stars aligned for me. I made an appointment in advance online, and quickly received an email asking to confirm my appointment. I called in to reschedule timing over the phone and was warmly greeted by Andrew who took care of the changes.
Fast forward to actually going into the store, Andrew checked us in and reviewed my budget, wedding details, and dress style I was looking for. I am getting married this June in Julian, CA so I was looking for something that would work for an outdoor wedding. I am not too picky and was really open to anything he presented me since I trusted him as he had been doing this for 30 years! We really connected since the moment I called and felt like he truly cared about finding just the perfect dress for me that I felt beautiful in. Not one time did I feel like he was trying to “sell” me. He genuinely cared and honored my budget.
If you are a bride to be, you must pay this place a visit. I would recommend staying open to what Andrew suggests. He takes into account your wedding setting, your body type, and making sure that you feel excited about the dress. He picked out five for me to try in and I LOVED the first and third one I tried on. The other three dresses were nice, but he mainly wanted me to try them on so I could see different styles. I ended up choosing the third dress which was gorgeous! I wish I could post pictures, but I am not married yet and don’t want to spoil the surprise! Please save yourself time and at least pay this store a visit.
I am returning in a few weeks to get measured with the shoes I plan to wear at the wedding. I am sure this will go just as smoothly as finding the dress!
After searching what felt like 2000 bridal salons for my wedding dress, I finally found it here! I ordered my dress five months before the wedding and had it ordered at a custom length and was promised to get it a month before the wedding. We checked in with them every few weeks and they assured us that dressed from this designer had never been late. Well, the deadline came and went and still no dress. Apparently, the designer had forgot to ship it, which isn’t the dress shops fault, but I wish they had checked up on it instead of assuming it would be on time. Andrew did work tirelessly to get the dress shipped overnight, which I really appreciate. I finally got the dress, but had to get alterations done twice because the first alteration (shortening the straps) changed the way the rest of the dress fit. They do a good job on alterations, but will do the bare minimum so make sure they make it fit perfectly!
Andrew is amazing! I went in looking for a specific style of dress. After trying a few of those style dresses on and not liking how they looked Andrew suggested a different style. They first one was MY dress!! He is amazing at what he does and his staff is always accommodating.
Had a great experience at 2000 Dreams. Found my dream dress. The staff was not pushy and very helpful. I decided to buy off the rack for a cheaper price. All their dresses are kept clean and in great condition. I would recommend 2000 Dreams to any bride.
It was such a joy to buy my dress there. The staff is so nice and fun to work with. The alterations department did not let me leave until everything was perfect. The dress came out perfect. They had a great selection of dresses and designers and I am so glad we found this place.
I would give ZERO stars if I could. I bought my "dream dress" here which was perfect and what I was looking for. Sounds like a great place right? WRONG. One hour into my wedding, one of the straps literally snapped off of my dress while I was eating dinner. REALLY? I wasn't even dancing or moving around.
I had told them my concerns about the straps breaking because they seemed flimsy once we got to the alterations phase... I was assured that nothing had to be done with them because they were "so strong". Again, WRONG.
I contacted them after my wedding because this dress was almost 2,000 dollars with alterations (BTW do not do alterations there if you get a dress there... save your sanity and money and find a more competent person).
They took ZERO responsibility for this matter other than offering to fix it (Really, like I am going to wear the dress again after my wedding? How about a partial refund people?). They basically put all of the blame on me, their customer.
Incredibly disappointed with them and their "service" from the moment I paid for my dress up until I complained about my strap breaking an hour into my wedding. Save your money and go elsewhere... this place isn't worth it. I was warned by some friends and should have listened. Lesson learned!!! Sorry 2000 dreams.. you really shouldn't be doing business.
DO NOT ORDER YOUR DRESS FROM HERE IF YOU WANT TO MAKE SURE YOU GET YOUR DRESS ON TIME. I ordered my dress in September of last year, and my dress STILL has not arrived. The wedding is in October, three months from now. I have called a number of times, and the rude Chinese woman just yells at me and says that she has already told me that my dress will arrive before the wedding, and that she can't provide me with an exact date. Do yourself a favor and stay away. Or go in and try on dresses, and then order them directly from the designer's website, not this place.
2000 Dreams was the fourth bridal shop I visited, because it was one of the only ones in town that carried some designers I'd been eager to try. I'm the type of girl who is more comfortable in Marshalls than Nordstroms, if you catch my drift, so this shop was right for me. I think it's family-run, and they have incredible gowns by top designers, without any of the frill, stuffiness, or straight up rudeness that some bridal shops can have.
The consultant, Wendy, saw the style of dress I kept being drawn to and brought out a Justin Alexander that was THE DRESS. It was absolutely perfect, it had every detail I'd been wanting, from the scalloped lace trim to the buttons down the back. And it wasn't obscenely expensive! Alterations were costly, as they can be anywhere, and it was amazing that she was able to hem all that lace. I would definitely recommend this place for their wide variety of dresses and friendly staff.
I got my wedding dress here and loved it! The staff was so helpful. I went in with an idea in mind of what I wanted, but they pulled options that fit what I was looking for as well as ones that they thought fit my body type and shape. I ended up going with one of their recommendations instead. It was perfect! I knew it the minute I put it on and they added a veil.
2000 Dreams is AMAZING!
As a fair warning, it's a family owned business so please be patient. Everything is processed on paper (handwritten). There are no fancy couches or champagne glasses.
What makes 2000 Dreams amazing is they truly value your happiness in finding the perfect dress. There is absolutely ZERO pressure to make any decision which was such a relief as other bridal bouquets offered "limited" time deals. If Andrew offers a deal, that deal is good until you are ready to act on it. They have a huge selection of dresses for the bride and bridesmaids ranging from all different prices. It truly a one stop shop!
Yessman was my consultant.I remember the exact moment she stopped my fitting because she knew the perfect dress that I would love. She was absolutely right! Yessman was fantastic! She was so helpful, kind and extremely patient which I appreciated so much. Even when I went to the shop and Yessman wasn't there, the other consultants would help me with the same kindness and generosity as if I was their client.
Wendy did my alternations for my wedding dress. I wanted to take out all the tulle from underneath to decrease the puff. When I went to my final fitting, Wendy had taken out some but not all out. This could have been frustrating as I had asked for it to be removed and it wasn't. However, I'm glad Wendy did what she did because the dress turned out perfect. So please trust Wendy. She knows what she's doing and what looks good.
If you are looking for dresses, be sure to stop by 2000 Dreams!
My dress was absolutely beautiful. The prices are very reasonable, and they have each dress made to order. The tailor did an amazing job and my dress fit me like a glove with just one fitting and a final fitting. Great service.
Several friends got their dresses here so I felt confident walking in...and highly pleased walking out. Naomi was my sales assistant. She didn't try to sell me something that I could never afford. She has such a great attitude. She listened to my dream ideas and found a STUNNING gown in my budget in line with what I dreamt of that also was very flattering (I have a curvy body). I received many compliments on my dress. The experience here is not like larger chain dress shops with over-priced, poor quality gowns that every shop staff says you look great in (even when it's clear that you do not). The staff at 2000 Dreams know wedding dresses well and have reasonable prices, countless options within every budget and beyond all else, friendly staff. Naomi was so much fun to work with. I appreciated her expertise and her reality checks (cost, design, etc.).
One sidenote: I think the alterations (minor) and steaming cost(really necessary?) were a bit high (but I have nothing to compare that to).
Thank you 2000 Dreams!
Great store with a good selection of wedding dresses. My wife and I had shopped around a few stores, and actually did have some difficulty finding lovely "poofy" ballgowns. Ultimately, we came back to this store and picked one of the ball gowns that she liked. Afterwards she had about 4 fitting sessions where they had to add in a lot of extra layers as well as take in the sides multiple times to get the dress the way my wife liked. After alterations the dress fit very well (maybe even a bit too well). On day of wedding, she was complimented throughout the evening by multiple guests about the wedding dress and the chipao. She definitely felt very flattered by all the compliments. We definitely felt well-treated at the store and that they had a good selection of dresses.
A friend and I stopped by this shop without an appointment about an hour before closing time, after a disappointing trip to another better known wedding dress shop in San Diego. We were greeted and encouraged to look around and look through the dresses ourselves. I was able to select dresses off the rack and try them on. I found three that I loved but didn't want to make a rush decision. They were willing to hold the dresses so I could come back the next day when there was more time before the store closed.
Found a dress which was 40% off because it was the last one. Luckily fit me almost perfectly!
ok
What a winning shop! It is not upscale by any means, so do not go there expecting champagne or the royal treatment. What you will get is excellent service, tons of dresses that will look fabulous on you, and a rockin' seamstress for any tweaks that need to be made. They were quick and wonderful and I highly recommend going here. The dressing rooms are not great, but they are fine. The prices are great and the selection is vast. They only got a 4.9 because they do not let you take photos of any of the dresses unless you buy them. Not sure what this policy is for, but it is silly and kind of annoying. But all in all, I was very pleased with the shop and adored my dress! Try this place out!!
I bought my dress at a davids bridal in Hawaii and they helped me have my dress cleaned quickly before the wedding. It looked great!
I could have bought my dress anywhere and I thought this ghetto little shop on convoy next to one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants wouldn't have been it. I was completely wrong though! 2000 dreams has excellent quality branded dresses and the best service I experienced throughout my entire wedding-planning experience.
Make an appointment so that they are ready for you, you don't have to but should. Andrew has great advice that is useful and practical. He and Wendy are a great team that are honest and make sure that you are going to be absolutely gorgeous for your special day.
Highly, highly recommend this bridal shop.
I found this shop online after having searched 6 states for an Allure gown I found at a trunk show in OH that wasn't in a size I could fit into, to try on. While they didn't carry the gown I was after (not one of the 30 shops I called between NV and CA did), the shop owner enthusiastically encouraged me to come to her shop for a great deal as her first customer of 2012 (I called on Jan 2), and promised me free alterations and a free veil, all of which she provided! My Maggie Sottero gown was the first one I stepped into in her store - and I was in love. This was on a Thursday, and she offered to have the gown altered by Sunday (the day I was leaving to go back to Las Vegas), and again, she delivered. I didn't have my shoes yet so she altered the length a bit too generously - so rather than drive the gown back to CA, I just bought 5" heels and made it work - that is literally the only complaint I have. Well, service was a little rushed - the girl helping me in and out of the gowns only wanted to let me stare at them for a few seconds before moving on, but since I had found my dress, that really didn't phase me much. Their selection wasn't as great as some of the other stores I visited, but you never know where you'll find "the one"!
Found my wedding dress here ALOT cheaper than at a boutique in Upland came with free vail and alterations
This may not be the most glamarous bridal shop in town, but they are very sweet and patient. I tried on at least 50-100 dresses before finding my dress in this store. I shopped alone a lot because all of my family and bridesmaids were in another state - a sales girl named Angel was literally my "Angel" and helped me find my perfect dress. Great customer service and they also have some good sample sales. I got my alterations done here and my pictures of me in my dress dress don't look perfect, but I lost more weight in between the last fitting so I don't know what exactly went wrong.
It's 2 weeks before the wedding. I tried on my wedding dress for the first time since winter and realized that my dress is going to be too tight. Thankfully for Nancy, they only needed to let it out for 1/2 inch and can get it done rushed. <3 Nancy.
good service
didn't really like this place, although dresses weren't expensive
After being told my the designer themselves that my dress was not available, Nancy and the ladies at 2000 Dreams made my dream a reality. The dress I had fallen in love with was hanging on the rack waiting for me and the ladies at 2000 Dreams altered it to perfection!
I loved my dress that I got from here. Although the salon is nothing fancy, they have a lot of great dresses at great prices. They also have great service. I told the consultant what I was looking for, and seriously the second dress she pulled was the one I picked. I had previously gone to Bridal and Veil, told them what I wanted and they never brought me the dress I bought, although they had it in stock. Definitely go here over Bridal and Veil!
Great prices! Nancy is the only one who really speaks and understands English well. She is the owner and the one I dealt with mostly. She can be a little pushy. Overall, the dress was beautiful but I did have to be kind of assertive to make sure she made the alterations I wanted. My dress retailed at higher end stores for $1800. I was able to get it through her for $1100 and that included alterations and a free veil. The actual shop is a little dingy so don't be discouraged by it's appearance. Just remember your scoring a great deal on your perfect dress!
I bought my wedding dress from 2000 Dreams Bridal and they did all of my dress alterations. Nancy and all of her employees were wonderful to work with. She was so sweet and accomodating and the prices were very competitive. The store doesn't look like much from the outside but it has been there forever and they know what they are doing.
I went to other stores first but ended up buying my dress here because Nancy was so great!
I found my perfect dress! Not to expensive and alterations were done nicely and inexpensive as well.
I went to this shop for my bridesmaid dresses. Although they didn't have all of the dresses I wanted in store, they were able to order them. The owner and his wife helped solve any problems we came across. The woman there somehow made all of the dresses fit beautifully even when I thought there was little hope.
Helen was awesome. She knows her dresses and body type. She knows what works and is updated on her bridal stlye. I didnt want a veil but she insisted and gave me the veil for free.
Made an awesome dress for me and family. Good prices and very patient.
Many selections but the service was not too good, kind of felt pushed
They were friendly, professional, and affordable. They just didn't have my perfect dress.
This store has lots of chocies on wedding gown. However, the sales are not that friendly. It is also kinda messy in the store for the volumn of the dresses.
Nancy is super nice and efficient! We bought all our bridal party needs and got great prices because of it=].
I had started looking at bridal gowns in Sacramento, and had found one I really loved that I wanted my (now husband) to see and give his opinion on. Only one shop in the San Diego area had it - the 2000 Dreams Bridal. When we walked in, they had already pulled the dress, as well as another dress that the guy in the shop thought I might like, seeing as how the dress I wanted to see was a little unique.
Well, the dress I had originally wanted still looked great, and I still love it - but the one he had pulled for me (before even meeting me) ended up being "the one". I wasn't able to find this dress at -any- shop in Sacramento to show my bridal party, but it didn't matter - everybody fell in love with it and thought it was gorgeous. If you know what you want out of a dress, tell them! They'll find it for you.
After waiting a bit long to purchase my dress, I ended up being thrilled with a Maggie Sottero gown that I purchased as a sample at 2000 Dreams Bridal Shop. The staff was really nice and everything seemed fine, even up until my last alteration. Since it was a lace-up, I only needed alterations in the bust and hem. I left the gown at the shop for two weeks(1st mistake), then picked the gown up the day before the wedding without trying it on again(2nd mistake). Forty minutes before the wedding the back panel lacked 2 inches from snapping and the hem was 2 inches too long. I called the shop but all they could do was tell me to drive the dress over(an hour each way) and they would "try" to repair it. They also suggested I must have gained weight(I lost weight as most brides do!) and later when I sent the pictures of the dress with the 30+ safety pins and double-sided tape used by my coordinator to hem the dress, they claimed I must have worn different shoes(I didn't). I asked for the $350 back for alterations that didn't quite make it the two weeks the dress was out of my sight but they declined saying whatever happened to the dress happened when it was out of their shop. Whatever you do, don't have your dress altered there!! I feel sick every time I think of that last stressful hour before my ceremony and of the two times I stepped on the front of the dress walking down the aisle(before my coordinator came to the rescue). My otherwise perfect day was marred by the thought of this defective dress I was wearing.
I wasn't planning on buying a "wedding dress," however a friend who bought her dress here recommended I give it a try before getting something 'off the rack.' I went in with some pictures, they allowed me to go through all the racks in the store, and I tried on 10 dresses--#4 was my dress. They tend to have more ball gown/fuller dresses, but I bought my exquisite slim A-line ivory dupioni silk Maggie Sottero for a GREAT value as part of their sample sale. The staff was friendly and helpful and their alterations were perfect. My 'off the rack' dress fit like a glove and wowed all in attendance on the big day.
Nancy was nice, and helped me out, but definitely doesn't want to hear any complaints. She gave me a great deal so I can't complain. I got my dress there, bridesmaids dresses, groom's, and groomsmen tuxes there. She did my dress exactly how I wanted it. Everything came clean, pressed and ready to go. My only complaint was dealing with the tux's. They sent the wrong color for the groom's shoes and a couple of the groomsmen's shoes were not in great condition. I had to wait and go back to pick them up. A pair of shoelaces broke, one shoe was "talking" because it was ripped apart. Granted they came from Nancy, but they are shipped from Jims Formalwear so I know it's really not her fault, but theirs. Overall I would recommend her becuase all the dresses came out perfect.
The tuxedos looked great. I loved the khaiki color and it matched perfectly with the dresses.
Loved working with 2000 Dreams! They are great at what they do. I got my dress, veil, shoes and bracelet all at the shop and loced it all! The only thing negative I can say is my dress didn't looked pressed when I picked it up and was very wrinkled.
My first visit here was great, and she had the dresses that I was looking for. I went back to place orders for my dresses, and everything was perfect. She reassured me that everything would be perfect and there would be no issues with the dresses. Well that was not true....every dress was 2 sizes two big, which resulted in very high alteration costs for my girls. I was exteremly upset because she ordered the dresses too big so she could get alterations out of us. I will never go back to this store or recommend it to anyone.
I had an overall wonderful and easy experience at 2000 dreams. The sales people are friendly and competent, and the prices are good, although i didn't buy my dress here because i found the one i wanted somewhere else. I did however bring it back here for alterations because i'd heard good things. The tailor was very sweet and did a beautiful job on my dress, but it wasn't shortened enough and the bustle was long too...so it made it difficult to dance in and i had to pin the bottom up after the ceremony. I also couldn't do the first dance as we had planned because i was tripping on my dress. Otherwise, great experience. I should've accounted for the fact that we were outside on grass most of the time. Needed to be shorter.
I loved the dress. The value of the dress was great but the service was poor and the alterations overly priced. If I had the time I woulded done alterations elswhere.
Start here! I waisted a lot of time running around looking at designer dresses, when the whole time they had the most amazing dresses there for 1/4 the price. people were in awe of my dress.
First off, Angel from 2000 Dreams is the sweetest woman ever! She's so helpful and understanding and isn't trying to sell you to sell you...she really wants you to LOVE your dress!! The alterations were expensive, but very professional!! I took a size 10 down to a size 2/4 and you can't even tell! It fits like a glove and didn't alter the appearance of the dress at all!
This was the 1st and only shop I went to when searching for my wedding dress. I wanted to spend around $1000 dollars and had no problem finding something in this price range. The women who helped me were wonderful at their job and let me try on as many dresses as I liked. I ended up falling in love with the 2nd dress, and it only took 4 more to try on and figure it out. They only let you take pictures after you buy the dress, and that seems reasonable. The building and set up is not 5 star, and it has a faint smell of cigarette smoke inside, but other than that they were great to work with. No problems with alterations and I felt the value was top notch.
a great place for bridesmaid dresses. They have a variety of selections and companies to choose from.
I had a great time, thanks for the service
had a great service, thanks!
loved it loved it!
My dress fit like a glove and was so beautiful.
Love
loved them, great customer service
Great selection and the prices are very affordable
I wasn't too picky about the my wedding dress. All i wanted was a dress that fit and i looked good in. The quality of the dresses here are probably not as good as the quality of dresses at more expensive places, but this place worked perfectly for me. Nancy, who has been selling wedding dresses for what seemed like forever, really does know what kind of dress will look good on a bride. I tried on three dress, and picked one. The total for me dress and veil + alterations, was $450. For what I needed, a dress for my wedding (it's only one day) if fit perfectly! However, for people that are easily offended or what really good quality, this is probably not the place for you. Form the pictures of our wedding, the quality of the dress looks great!
The only reason why I gave them even two stars is because they gave me a free veil and free alterations. That being said, I did not enjoy my experience with them at all.
From the moment I first walked in, I was ignored. Then when I tried to look through the wedding dresses myself (near impossible), they instructed me to look through their books instead, saying I could pick out anything I wanted. Well, they didn't have any of the styles I chose instore, and instead brought me similar styles. I wasn't completely in love with my dress, but between their heavy pressuring and promising that they could turn the strapless neckline into a sweetheart neckline, I caved. I actually regretted my decision up until I saw the dress on me, and it was a beautiful dress. However, during my 2nd fitting, they told me they couldn't do the sweetheart neckline like I had asked becuase there was too much material. So basically I was stuck with the regular strapless neckline. Truthfully, while the dress was beautiful, I wouldn't have chosen it if I had known they couldn't fulfill their promise.
Long story short, there's only two people worth dealing with at that store - Nancy and Helen. The rest don't know English, and treat you like any other person. If you want to be treated like a bride and get special attention, don't go here. They lack in customer service and don't stand by their promises; however, a free veil and free alterations is a nice compensation for my troubles.
They steamed the dress but there were still crease marks on the skirt. The way they altered the bustline looked a little crushed. And she forgot to pack the veil. One of the girls from the store called to say I left it behind. Luckily I was already planning to wear my sister's veil.
I came here for the quality of service. All the dresses were amazing and at an affordable price. I went to tons of bridal shops and honestly other places charged a premium for a not-so-flattering dress. The one thing I loved about this place the most was the seamstress there really knew what looked good on you or not and wasn't afraid to be honest about it. I hated that the other bridal shops would tell me that EVERYTHING i tried on looked good on me. Like no way! But at 2000 dreams they were intent on finding us the best wedding gown and bridesmaids dresses tailored to both our tastes and body types. My girls all looked fabulous at the wedding.
