In reflecting on our wedding, my husband and I have to say that it wasn't just an exceptional day, but an incredible weekend that started perfectly at our Rehearsal Dinner, all thanks to 23 City Blocks. We knew we wanted a family-style service, passing plates around just like we did at home, but specific foods weren't on our list. The team at 23CB sat us down and went through an extensive list, asking our loves and loathes, what we cook at home, what we eat out. After hearing and understanding their process, we were sold on giving them free reign of our menu, and we couldn't be happier we did. With a loose Italian theme, it started with stunning charcuterie board that almost doubled as decor, but was too delicious not to eat. Then followed four rounds of dishes that we couldn't describe wanting even if we tried, but they hit on all the perfect notes things like a burrata salad, a take on one of our favorite appetizers, an egg raviolo, a recreation of one of our fav restaurant dishes, and a halibut dish that even my picky dad adored. There was so much food , but our guests said they had to keep stuffing themselves because it was just that delicious. Thanks to the incredible staff, service was swift and continuous, glasses were never left empty, leaving our families and friends to focus on the things that mattered most. We have to give a special shout out to Sloane, our event manager, and Chef Brad, Executive Sous Chef, for putting together and orchestrating an evening we will never forget.

I had a very good experience working with 23CB. The staff (from our sales rep to the chef to the people on-site for the wedding) was professional and courteous. The food received great reviews from our guests and the overall execution of the event was near flawless. I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out. The only reason I am not giving them five stars is that the communication leading up to the wedding could have been better. We obviously had numerous questions before signing off on a sizable financial commitment, and it took anywhere between 4 days to 2 weeks to get a response. That said, I would still recommend hiring them, I think they're one of the best in town.

23 City Blocks Catering provided a wonderful experience for us as planners as well as our over 200 guests at our wedding reception event. The tasting gave us a chance to sample all the excellent food choices and make our selections. The food was served promptly and it was hot and tasty. The wine service and bar selection and service met all of our expectations. I would use them again for any event.

Easily the best wedding food I have ever had. We went with pork, scallops, and a veggie option and honestly my husband and I basically ordered all three. It was too difficult to pick because they were all so good. They specialized our first course and let us adjust the menu, which really added a level of personalization I did not expect. Plus the professionalism of how their servers deliver the entrees in a timed fashion. It was beautiful. Highly HIGHLY recommend.

We got married at The Caramel Room last month, and people are STILL talking about the food! The chefs/team at 23 City Blocks truly care about their craft, and it is obvious in the way the food tastes. We had a 225 person wedding with three entree options, and each entree was as delicious as the next. To say I was thrilled with the food and the service would be an understatement. The entire team had everything taken care of from top to bottom, and I couldn't be happier. I am very very grateful to them!!

It was a huge plus that the venue we chose included 23 City Blocks for catering. We knew from the day of our tasting that our guests were in for some spectacular food to celebrate our wedding, and our expectations were exceeded on the big night! There is an extensive menu to choose from, and the chefs accommodated all requests for personalizing our choices for dinner, custom cocktails, and even the dessert...we decided to skip the cake and go for something different, and we're glad we did. The chefs came up with 3 of the best fall pies I've ever had. My only complaint is they didn't share the recipes.

My husband and I had been to a wedding catered by 23 City Blocks before, so we already knew we were in for a treat! Not only are the hors d'oeuvres incredible, but the meals are to die for. I am usually someone who gets steak at every wedding, but our tasting had us both wanting all of the options... even my mom who is pretty picky. My husband and I are still dreaming abut the lamb lollipops too. I can't count the amount of people who raved about them after the wedding! Everything was 10/10!

We had a wonderful experience using 23 City Blocks Catering. The food set-up and staff were on time, organized and very professional. Shelby handled everything and was a pleasure to work with. The food was WOW delicious and we heard from many guests and vendors that it was the best wedding food they had ever had! We used 'chef selections' and was not disappointed. We could not be happier with the catering for our wedding. Stephanie and team helped us make a signature cocktail and a custom honeymoon inspired main course! The groom and I really enjoyed working with the 23 City Blocks team. It was such a fun experience, and they went above and beyond to make us feel special.

Not your average wedding food! 23 City Blocks lived up to the high bar reputation that preceded them. We had fun designing our Italian-Chinese food stations, almost as much fun as chef Aaron Cummings did delivering on our vision. A great experience, and a great team to work with.

We recently had our son and daughter in laws reception at Lumen. The food was absolutely amazing! When we went to our tasting to choose the entrees, it was very difficult because everything was delicious! Our appetizers were served so cleverly and were so amazing!! Can’t say enough good things about the food!! Loved it!!

We selected the Caramel Room with 23 City Blocks Catering for my daughter’s wedding and could not have been happier with the choice. Stephanie and her team made every effort to build the best night we could ask for. The menu the caterer designed for us was a perfect reflection of the couple and was some of the best food we have ever enjoyed. The perfectly synchronized service and the amazing food were some of the top highlights of the night. We particularly loved the tasty and really authentic spaetzle. Something one hardly finds in the US. Kudos to the Chef and his team. They also did a spectacular job with the beautiful decorated wedding cake and dessert bar! Not only did we think it was the best cake we’ve ever eaten (chocolate hazelnut), but many of our guests had exactly the same opinion! As with the Caramel Room we definitely recommend the caterer 23 City Blocks Catering.

Working with Shelby at 23 City Blocks made the catering planning process simplified. She catered to our wishes and needs. She was always prompt and fulfilled our special requests to make our wedding day meal wonderful. The guests were all pleased with the quality and taste of the food, especially the healthful aspect. All-in-all I would recommend 23 City Blocks to any bride and groom if they want quality food, great service, and a seamless wedding day when it comes to food delivery .

CAN YOU SAY UNBELEIVABLE! The service we received from Sloane and her team at 23 City Blocks was top notch! Sloane made sure that everything was perfect and all went off without a glitch. My husband Sean and I hosted our wedding reception at The Caramel Room on June 15th, 2019. If you're planning a reception/event, the first vendor you should hire is 23 City Blocks. Our event manager, Sloane, was thorough and enthusiastic from the start until the end. She dealt with my indecision by offering fresh ideas and suggestions. The evening of the reception, she was in every corner ensuring everything was going according to plan. Sloane is more than a logistical expert; she is a creative dynamite. The banquet manager, Katerina, is a fine-dining professional. Her and the staff offered an unbeatable experience for our guests. The Stanley Cup parade was on the day of our wedding and our families are huge Blues fans. She customized the song for synchronized dinner service to 'Gloria' while serving the head table. Our guests could not get enough of it! I know it is a fond memory for many of them now. We also had a signature drink but knowing my love for spicy offerings, she batched a jalapeno margarita and had it waiting for us when we arrived. It was delicious but also such a thoughtful surprise. The staff was not only detail oriented, but super fun too! They had incredible energy throughout the evening that simply made every experience a special one. We bought glow sticks to breakout on the dance floor, and the staff cracked them, wore them, and danced around as they pass them out to guests. FUN! Chef de Cuisine, Aaron (and team), truly outdid themselves. Our guests could not stop commenting that it was the best meal they'd ever had at an event of that size. I'm not kidding, our best man could not get over the beef tenderloin. I LOVE salads with beets in them, and Aaron totally ran with my idea and came up with the freshest beet salad you'll ever have in the month of June. It was truly impressive, and we are still getting compliments about it now. This team made the experience incredibly profound (some might find that word dramatic but there is no other word to describe it) from start to finish. Our day was an absolute dream, but it was truly made more magical because of the staff at The Caramel Room.

23 City Blocks did an outstanding job for our wedding on June 8th, 2019! The service was so organized and professional. The food was delicious! Casey was our event coordinator and was so kind and easy to work with. She was able to make the process smooth and fun. Casey was extremely knowledgeable and quick to reply to any of my questions or concerns. Overall, 23 City Blocks provided exceptional service and food for our wedding day. We definitely recommend them for any wedding or special event!

The barbecue was a huge hit!! It fed all of our guests and was affordable as well!!

Thank you so much for making Dani and Andrews wedding memorable. The venue was beautiful, I can’t believe how lovely everything was; the table placements, the food, the service and the attention to detail was outstanding. The singing and performance by the servers, was a surprise and very entertaining. Loved the appetizers and received great feedback from the guests on the entrees. The late-night snack was a good idea and brought some guests back inside to finish the evening. The outside rooftop and views of the city were stunning and a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the evening, mingle with guests and appreciate the beautiful ceremony. Sloane handled everything very professionally from start to finish. From the initial meeting to the end, we were confident we made the perfect choice and are very fortunate to have had Sloane for our Event Manager. After the event, I learned of issues that came up that were handled flawlessly. Sloane is a wonderful ambassador for the company. My sincere thanks to everyone at the Caramel Room and 23 City Blocks Catering who worked so hard to make this event a success.

This quote pretty much summarizes how we and all of our guests felt about wedding at Lumen. That was an event to remember! A few more details: planning, organization, personal approach, logistics, execution, timing were impeccable! For the parents of the newlywed you cannot ask for more.

WOW WOW WOW!!! The best food I’ve ever had in my life- not exaggerating. When we started planning our wedding, I was nervous about the food because my now husband is a bit of a food snob😂 he loves to cook and loves good food and wanted the best for our wedding. 23 City Blocks were incredible!! We gave them some ideas of food we knew we wanted and then let the chefs put their creative touches on it. Almost every single person at our wedding came up to us and told us it was the best food they’ve ever had!! Everyone was a joy to work with especially Sloane during the planning and Shelbi the day of!

We hired 23 City Blocks to cater our daughters wedding. We had extensive meetings about vision and expectations. The food and presentation was our number one priority. We did not want a standard buffet, so we developed a plan for a feast table with specialty serving pieces, risers to display food at different heights, food tucked into every little nook and cranny..a real wow. What we planned for and paid for was drastically different than what we received. The cocktail appetizers were delicious but there were not enough servers to get them distributed. There were more servers walking around to pick up empty glasses than there were serving food. Servers did not interact with guest making it easy or inviting to take appetizers. Served salad was small, did not fill plate and did not have all the extra yummy ingredients that were planned for. Buffet..not feast table was not available for 20 minutes after salads were served. The buffet was just one chaffing dish after another lined up on a straight table which is exactly what we didn’t want or plan for. The food was delicious, service and execution was horrible. We paid a premium price for sub standard catering

23 City Block had THE. MOST. EXTRAORDINARY. FOOD. Our tasting was incredible and the culinary team was great to work with. We were able to customize what we wanted for our different appetizers, our entrees, and our late night snack! All of our guests RAVED about the food we had!! I cannot stress enough how amazing the food was at our reception. (Potentially the best part of the day….. not including actually getting married)!!! Check out 23 City Block! You won’t regret it!!

We are really happy we decided to have our reception at Lumen Event Space. They were a pleasure to work with, the service at our reception was amazing, and the food was delicious. You definitely get what you pay for, not to mention the event space itself is beautiful.

I used them as the caterer for a charity dinner and couldn't have been happier. From the initial conversation with Sloane through the actual event, they were extremely professional. And the food was unbelievable! I gave the chef the freedom to select the food and I was not disappointed. All of the guests were thrilled with the dinner and the staff.

We worked with Casy and she was great! The food was amazing!! They customized to our tastes and special requests. Wish we could eat that meal all over again!

Food was the most important thing for me when planning our wedding - I have dietary restrictions and have been to countless weddings where the food was either inedible or all I could eat were rolls and potatoes. Not only did 23 City Blocks cater to our dietary restrictions, they did an AMAZING job catering our wedding and keeping everyone happy. I received nothing but endless compliments about the food. They are on the pricier side but well worth it. Our coordinator Stephanie did a great job with the layout of the reception and crafting a timeline with the venue. She was a life saver leading up to everything.

23 City Blocks catered our wedding on 8-18-18 and we could not have been more happy with the outcome! The food was AMAZING - from the pre-ceremony appetizers to the post-ceremony raw bar and appetizers, to the interactive food stations, it was all of the highest quality and so yummy. Our guests are still raving about our wedding food a month later! Amanda was just fantastic organizing our menu and she also coordinated our party favors (Bissinger's chocolate and wine!) as well. Chef was just unbelievable and he even made his famous breast pudding in lieu of wedding cake. It was all just perfect and we would highly recommend them to anyone! We are already planning an anniversary celebration catered by 23 City Blocks.

I cannot say enough about what a wonderful experience it was to work with all the excellent staff at 23 City Blocks. Amanda, Casey, Nick and Alan did the most wonderful job helping us plan and execute an amazing catering experience that fit with the vision of our event. Our wedding was three months ago and I am still constantly receiving compliments from our guests about how that was by far the best food they have ever had at a wedding! The menu was so fun and included things ranging from more traditional, like beef tenderloin and garlic mashed potatoes, to more festive, like mini tacos and fried chicken sliders with gravy on a biscuit. All of the staff working the event were so kind and helpful. One even went so far as to help a guest with an injured knee get a plate of food as well as an ice pack for his knee. The staff made sure everything went smoothly on the wedding day and it was overall just the most lovely experience! I cannot recommend them enough!

What really stood out was how creative she is. We got to have fun, create our dream menu items and really think outside the box. Something that was crucial was Amanda's attention to us at the beginning of the reception. She literally walked us to the table, brought us plates and kept us fed and happy, as the whirlwind of the day was happening. Amanda and her crew were professional, flexible, helpful, cheerful, and extremely creative. The delicious food and amazing presentations exceeded our expectations and delighted our guests. 23 City Blocks catered our wedding this past weekend, and it really was something magical. They are very detail oriented and really put on a show for our guests. My father-in-law was impressed with the attitude and presentation of the food and from the servers themselves. Our servers put on a show and laid each plate at the tables in unison. The food was so amazing, some of our guests said it was not only the best wedding food they had ever had, but for some, the best food they had ever had. Their food really is a treat. Our cocktail hour had great passed appetizers as well, I didn't hear one complaint about the food. Amanda, was sweet enough to box up some of their AMAZING white cheddar mac and cheese to take home with us for a late night snack. Everything was completely top notch and my husband and I cannot express enough how wonderful of a company this is, and all of their staff as well. They are so professional and just all around helped provide absolute perfection to our wedding reception.
