2Shea Catering

We used 2Shea to cater our wedding in April 2024 and could not recommend them more. It was a pleasure to work with Deanna and her team; throughout the process she was extremely communicative, friendly, helpful, and made the whole process feel quite simple. Despite living ~150 miles away, we never felt like our lack of proximity posed any unique challenges. On top of that, the food looked great and tasted even better. If you need a caterer in upstate New York, look no further.

We knew we needed 2Shea as the caterer for our wedding after they worked on our friend’s wedding years ago, and they delivered beyond all of our expectations. Not only was the food delicious and presented beautifully, the staff were also all absolutely amazing. Deanna and Catherine answered all of our questions with endless patience and knowledge, and we felt so confident that our wedding would be perfection in their hands. We live out of town and had to make a lot of decisions for our wedding from what we saw online. That being said, we never did a tasting for 2Sheas. HOWEVER, the food that 2Sheas produced for our wedding exceeded all of our expectations and was something that our guests could not stop talking about. Huge thank you to Deanna and Catherine for helping the day run so smoothly. They kept a detailed list of our preferences, made recommendations on food and wine choices, and were always responsive to questions. And they were the only vendor of ours to ask for regular meetings to discuss details before the day! On the day of the wedding, 2Sheas brought us food and drinks throughout the cocktail hour, they left us a few items from the cocktail hour on our sweetheart table to eat during the reception, and made sure our main courses were everything we hoped for. My husband prefers his meat to be well done and the waiters made sure that it was cooked to his liking. Guests absolutely loved the sushi bar. Some guests thought the cocktail hour was the reception because everything was laid out so beautifully and they were already full and satisfied! For the main course, many of our guests told us they never had such great food at a wedding before.

You cannot go wrong with 2Shea! Deanna was a delight to work with. She made decision making easy and the wedding day execution was absolutely seamless. She even went above and beyond and offered to get food and drinks for myself and my husband and she even helped to bustle my wedding dress! Our wedding was 5 months ago and our family and friends are still raving about the food and how great the service was. The 2Shea staff are phenomenal at their jobs and made our wedding day a success! They exceeded our expectations!

From our tasting to the wedding night, Catherine and Deanna fielded so many questions so quickly and kindly. They were the backbone throughout the planning process and during the wedding night. Catherine was there for the duration of our wedding night to make sure everything ran so smoothly without a hitch. We received SO many compliments from guests about how delicious the food was and how amazing our bartending staff were. We recently used 2Shea for both our rehearsal dinner and wedding on 07/15/23. Deanna, Catherine, and their team were amazing start to finish! To start, they host one of the most genius events called "The Grand Tasting" where you and chosen guests can go and taste all of their offering for appetizers, late night snacks, etc. It was a perfect way to get to try all of the different cocktail hour offerings in addition to your private tasting for your meal. The food is absolutely incredible! I have been to over 30+ weddings and 2Shea hands down had the best food I've ever had at a wedding. During the planning process, Deanna and Catherine were always very quick to respond via email and happy to set up a call at any point when necessary. They were beyond accommodating, including my ridiculous request to add a pickle to the sliders and my last minute request to add a few specialty bottles to the bar. At both the rehearsal dinner and wedding the staff was so beyond organized, friendly, and made every single second run smoothly. The staff knew who my family and my husband's were by name and constantly were checking in with them throughout both events to see if they needed anything. Deanna personally checked in on myself and my husband throughout the events, so much so, that I never made it to the bar because I always had a drink in hand. My guests have not stopped talking about how incredible the food was and how smoothly everything ran! I cannot recommend hiring 2Shea for any event enough! We are already trying to come up with events so that we can use them again!

Deanna, Catherine, and the whole team at 2Shea was incredible all throughout the planning process and on the day of the event. Not only are they excellent at what they do (the food is SO good - especially the short rib), they are also incredibly kind, fun, and lovely people. Everything went so smoothly on the day of our wedding and everything was delicious. Highly recommend!

2 Shea catering in Albany, N. Y. Provided the dinner at our daughters wedding last week. Deanna is wonderful to work with, from the first contact, through the event, she helped us with choices, and recommendations. We had a number of options for the cocktail hour and dinner. The food was great!! I highly recommend 2Shea!

When we decided to get married at the Canfield in Saratoga (3 hours away from home) we were a bit nervous about finding a team that we could trust. After a disastrous experience with another caterer, we met Deanna and we were instantly at ease. She is kind, funny, and absolutely incredible at her job. She guided us through all of the options for our wedding, from the menus, to the bars, linens, ceremony set-up, timeline, and everything else that you would never think of. By the time the wedding arrived I felt like she was a friend and I trusted her and Chef Jimmy completely. Our ideal wedding went a tad outside their typical packages and they adjusted everything seamlessly without breaking our budget. They blew our guests away with the incredible food and service. Deanna was with us every step of the way including the night of the wedding. Their food is comforting, creative, and fun. Our cocktail hour was more interesting with mini buffalo chicken rangoons, chicken and waffles, and mini sliders and then they transitioned perfectly to a classic dinner with the most beautifully plated entrees. They even made a special plate for my husband with two entrees because he couldn't decide. The servers were so lovely and almost anticipated what was needed beforehand. I wish I knew the name of our bartender because he was fantastic! I've never had bar service that good - ever. Just as an aside, I am a professional event planner and work with some of the best and most prestigious venues and caterers in New York so my bar is pretty high at this point. Deanna, Chef Jimmy, and the entire 2Shea team blew us away and surpassed every expectation I could have had for our wedding.

I HIGHLY recommend 2SHEA Catering. They are so easy to work with and communicate with during the whole planning process. We had our tasting about a year in advance of our wedding and they made it so nice! Leading up to the wedding, we had to plan many little details, special things we wanted added, and the timeline of events. They were so easy to accommodate everything and worked with us making sure it was everything we imagined. We had many email and phone meetings leading up to the event, and it was truly a PLEASURE working with the team. Deanna is absolutely wonderful!!! We have gotten so many compliments about our food, cocktail hour, and drinks at our wedding. People would not stop talking about the cocktail hour stations and passed appetizers. The dinner food was delicious as well!!! We also got the open bar package and they did not cheap out! Everyone would not stop talking about how great the drinks and bartenders were! If you are looking for a catering company, I highly recommend 2Shea!!! They are truly amazing and we are so thankful we used them for our wedding day!

We hired 2shea catering for our wedding on December 10, 2022. Best and easiest decision we ever made. Julia will take care of every detail and make sure the evening flows without difficulty. My husband and I could not be more thrilled that we chose 2Shea Catering for our wedding. From start to finish they were an absoloute dream to work with. The team, including Deanna, Eddie as well as the wait staff were incredibly professional, kind and experienced. The entire experience was smooth and far exceeded our expectations. Plain and simple they knocked it out of the park in all facets. From being available at any given time, to assisting with our linen, cutlery etc. decisions Deanna and her team were incredible to work with. Needless to say I would reccomend 2Shea on just service alone, however their food also happens to be out of this world. From the cocktail hour to the late night station 2Shea has you covered. The Shrimp was a smash hit, something our friends and family are still raving about. The taco bar was de-lish, and don't get me started about the chicken and waffles. There were so many options for the plated meal. I happened to have the parmesan encrusted chicken and it was to die for. Also, how cool is it to end the evening with a New York Style warm Pretzel Bar? 2Shea is incredible and I would highly recommend you choose them for any of your catering needs. We can't thank them enough for the best night of our lives.

Everyone at 2Shea Catering were so wonderful and professional! Deanna was so easy to work with and everything turned out so incredibly beautiful and delicious! Our wedding was in May and people are still telling us they had the best food at our wedding!

We were always excited, and the tasting was great and we had heard good things, but we couldn't have been prepared for how incredible this team was. They were always on top of everything, the food was spectacular, and they kept the cocktail hour and reception right on schedule. For our meals we had the butternut squash ravioli and the macadamia nut crusted chicken, and both were superb. Deanna was lovely to work with.

When we first started planning our wedding, my (now) Husband knew he wanted 2Shea to cater since he had gone to a wedding where they were serving and he loved the food. We knew the food was going to be amazing, but what we didn't know was how important this team would be on our actual wedding day. We worked with Deanna, she quickly sent us over all of our options, answered all of our questions, and brought up a lot of things we didn't think of ourselves during the planning process. The pricing was very reasonable! We ended up going with the open bar, butler pass bites for cocktail hour along with a grazing table, three options for entree, and an awesome dessert spread. The filet mignon was perfectly cooked, cut like butter, and was delicious. The chicken marsala and gnocchi with pesto parmesan sauce were equally perfect and full of flavor. We can't say enough how perfect everything was from bar service, to cocktail hour right through to dessert. Our guests had the best things to say. The reason we were so in love with 2Shea was because of the people. Deanna basically turned into our wedding planner and is just the absolute best person. We ended up having to cancel our original wedding and turn it into a backyard wedding all within 2 weeks. My Father was very sick and would not have made it to our original wedding day. When I told Deanna, she assured me they would be there and that my wedding day would be perfect. She assured me my menu could be the same even though we were no longer at a venue. Myself and my family were actually away on vacation when we found out we needed to do this, so Deanna and Ed actually went to my house and scoped out to see how they could set up and make my original menu work. They went above and beyond in the short time period they had. They turned my garage into their catering space, they turned my pool house into a bar, our patio into a cocktail hour area, they worked with the hills on our property, and all with smiles and reassurance that it would be perfect. It was more than perfect. Our backyard wedding turned out to be the best thing that could have happened for us. I had no idea what my wedding day would look like and I had a million things on my mind in those two weeks, but because of this team and all the hard work they put in, I didn't have to worry. My wedding would not have been as incredible as it was without them. Myself, my husband, and my family are forever grateful for their flexibility and kindness. If you are between caterers, don't think twice. Food is one of the biggest things people remember about the wedding, and 2Shea is worth it!! Thank you Deanna, thank you Ed, and thank you to the rest of the team that was just amazing. From the bottom of our hearts. I wish I had more pictures of the food, but here they are carrying our wedding cake down a hill to get it to us, and Deanna and I hugging when I first saw her, which I was definitely crying like a baby because I love her so much.

My husband and I absolutely loved 2Shea!! When I say they helped make the day go so smoothly they truly did. Everything from setting aside cocktail hour food for us to helping bustle my dress mid-dance to getting all the specific requests we needed, they went above and beyond and made our day feel so special. They were all great to work with but I cannot put into words how great Deanna is she was my saving grace multiple times and was always available to help me even if it was a frantic late-night text message, she is the best! These are some of the nicest and most professional people you will work with. Oh, and the food is amazing (said many happy guests)! I would definitely recommend them because they did an outstanding job.

We cannot rave enough about 2Shea. The entire team is incredible (Deanna, Jesse, Catherine, DEANNA!!!!) and went above and beyond for my husband and I. They are skilled, professional, not to mention the nicest people, and a true dream team to work with. And the food!!! Everything was amazing from our cocktail hour to plated meals - every single guest complimented the food and how incredible everything was (that is usually never the case at weddings, and we had almost 200 people!). If you're lucky enough to be able to book 2Shea, look no further because they are the best.

We hired 2Shea for our wedding in June. Julia and the 2Shea were amazing! From our tasting to the day of our wedding Julia was beyond helpful and accommodating. 2Shea catered offsite and for 160 guest and they absolutely killed it! Our guest RAVED about the food and the quality. The filet, wow! It was unbelievable!! I would recommend 2Shea over and over again to anyone looking for a caterer!

Deanna and the team were amazing. Food was excellent, especially the appetizers and braised short rib. Late night pretzel bar was a huge success. Everything ran so smoothly and they were complete professionals. HIGHLY recommend!!!

The team at 2Shea were absolutely incredible for our wedding day! Deanna was very communicative and helpful. She even helped when we needed help finding vendors for transportation and florals. We enjoyed every aspect of our interaction from the tasting to the wedding day. As the bride, I had so few opportunities to eat or drink on my day, and Deanna made sure she or another member of her team came to where photos were happening to bring me nibbles from cocktail hour and drinks to keep me hydrated in the heat. They were extremely respectful of the dietary restrictions of our guests, and were very clear with us on how to help them to ensure everything went smoothly (providing us with a template to give them the information in advance). The gnocchi and chicken piccata dinners were hits with the crowd, and everyone loved the appetizers. We appreciated the flexibility with alcohol options as well. You can't go wrong with 2Shea!

Guests raved about all of the food 2Shea put together for us! The pretzel bar was a huge hit and everything from the appetizers to dinners were beautifully displayed and absolutely delicious. Deanna was with us every step of the way, thinking through details big and small and providing everything knew and didn't know we needed day of. We would absolutely recommend them to anyone considering making 2Shea a part of their big day!

It was important to us to have a lot of great food at our wedding. We did not want our guests to leave hungry! Deanna and the whole team at 2Shea really delivered, from the passed appetizers to the incredible charcuterie displays to our dinner, everything was amazing! I loved that we were able to include personal touches like our own signature cocktails and a skillet cookie and ice cream bar instead of a traditional cake for dessert. Deanna is such a pro and was really a delight to work with. I knew we were in good hands and I'm so happy with my experience working with 2Shea!

2Thumbs Up for 2Shea! As someone who doesn't do a lot of entertaining, planning a large wedding with my daughter and having everything go smoothly, had me nervous. Thank goodness for Deanna and the entire 2Shea team! Deanna's calm and reassuring demeanor every step of the way was so helpful. The team at 2Shea are true professionals and experts at what they do. From their beautiful display at the cocktail hour, signature drinks, and dinner service with a smile, we could just relax and enjoy the wedding. I marveled at how they were able to serve 180 delicious hot plated dinners at the same time! At the end of the evening, they were fast at work cleaning up and still smiling. Thank you, Deanna, and 2Shea team for all your hard work behind the scenes that allowed us and our guests to enjoy a memorable evening!

2Shea Catering was truly amazing to work with. We used Julia and Eddie along with their staff. With having to reschedule or 2020 wedding to 2021, they was so supportive and flexible. The food was INCREDIBLE.. from cocktail hour all the way down to the dessert. Our guests still rave about how amazing the food was and how big the portions were. I HIGHLY recommend 2Shea!

2Shea helped to make our wedding day perfect. Not only was the food amazing, but the service was unbelievable. One of the servers even assisted me while eating, so I wouldn’t get food on my dress! We received so many compliments on the food and service! Deanna was a pleasure to work with and went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect. She was quick to respond and always willing to help when any changes needed to be made. We are so happy with our decision to hire 2Shea and highly recommend them!!

Deanna and her team went above and beyond our expectations for our wedding. The food was phenomenal and the professionalism and hospitality was like no other. The staff continuously checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed and even brought us our own plate of hors d'oeuvres after cocktail hour to ensure we were able to enjoy it. Deanna did more than just worry about the food. She helped bustle my dress when we were struggling, she stayed around until the end and coordinated our Sparkler send-off and assisted other vendors in packing up their belongings. We can not recommend Deanna and her team enough!

This is delayed, and I should have written this right after my wedding in August but I'm awful at reviews - but I kept thinking about this because of how amazing 2Shea is. 2Shea exceeded all of our expectations, seriously. Deanna freaking SAVED our entire wedding, I'm not joking. In a year of extreme stress, and changing dates, locations, etc. Deanna was there every step of the way. She truly is incredible, kept me sane, and made me feel so supported. I wouldn't have made it through without her, seriously - she was our rock and we are forever grateful for her. Not only was she insanely helpful to me and my husband, but people raved about her at the wedding. She is SO sweet, helpful, smart, and on top of her stuff. We hired her for day-of coordinating and it was 110% worth it, I didn't stress at all knowing I had her running things. The staff at 2Shea was just amazing the day of our wedding, I mean they went above and beyond with absolutely everything. My drink was always full, they always made sure we had food, and had everything we needed. My guests commented to me how helpful and fast they were, and on top of that NICE! Next, the food was outstanding -- the cocktail hour, I still dream about that food. I'm not the type of bride to not eat, and I told the staff I was hungry and they brought me 3 plates of appetizers, I ate them all they were that great. The dinner was phenomenal as well, everyone loved their food so much. The biggest thank you ever to 2Shea and Deanna, I can't say enough good things about you guys. I would recommend anyone questioning which caterer to use, to use 2Shea and you won't regret it!!!!!! Food, service, everything is outstanding. Deanna, not sure you even know how much you mean to me and Josh, but you are the best ever and truly saved our wedding with all the last minute changes we had to do. There aren't enough words to say how good 2Shea is to be honest! Thank you for making our wedding day so insanely special.

I truly from the bottom of my heart could never say enough! We have gotten SO many compliments on the food and for a 260 person wedding I have to say, MULTIPLE people have complimented it on being the first hot meal they’ve had at a wedding in a LONG time! To every bride and groom out there, I have worked with multiple vendors in the past and I can say without question that you should absolutely consider (then immediately hire) 2Shea catering for your special day!

We can't say enough about 2Shea. Deanna, Eddie, Nicole and the whole team couldn't have been more incredible leading up to and on our wedding day. From start to finish, they went to every length to make our day what we wanted it to be. Deanna was also our all-star coordinator who went beyond above and beyond. We had a lot of moving parts and pieces - an offsite wedding with a big bridal party, lots of kids and stations and we honestly would not have been able to pull it all off without her and the incredible crew. They pulled it off and then some. Our family and friends raved about the food and couldn't get over how warm and nice the whole team was. They were simply the best, there at every turn to be helpful and see if we needed anything. And the FOOD! The miso glazed salmon. The sliders. The s'more station! They even made plates for me and my groom so we didn't miss a beat. We want to go back to our wedding so we can eat it all. We love 2Shea and can't recommend them highly enough.
