A Kansas native, I moved to Austin dreaming of sunny days + beautiful weddings. I truly believe that all things in life happen for a reason. My career started as an intern with the founders of 36th Street. My loyal, driven personality (+ lots of hard work) lead me to purchasing the company I’ve loved since my early days in the industry.
I’m a hopeless romantic who married her high school sweetheart. I feel blessed with an adorable daughter and two ornery pups at home. I could spend hours walking around Anthropologie, just the smell of coffee makes me smile + I am a creative at heart!

Hiring Jodi as our wedding planner was by far the best decision we made! From the moment we connected she was incredibly responsive and attentive to our needs. Jodi has an amazing ability to understand your vision and translate it into reality. She just got our vibe from day one, and all her recommendations were spot on. Jodi connected us with amazing vendors, helped us stay organized and on budget, and ensured that our wedding weekend was absolutely perfect. We had zero worries on the wedding day knowing that Jodi was taking care of everything behind the scenes. She allowed us to fully relax and enjoy the greatest weekend of our lives! And to top it all off she is such a fun person to hang out with, which made wedding planning truly a blast. We love Jodi so much and we know you will too!

Impossible to express how much we loved having Jessika as our wedding planner. Throughout the wedding process, my husband and I kept repeating that hiring 36th street events was the best decision we made. Not only did Jessika understand and execute our vision beyond our wildest insane dreams, but she also became a friend to us along the way! If you love organization, and want to feel heard by your planner then 36 is for you. Oh and our wedding was the best wedding ever, not that I'm biased or anything. Jessika & Jodi, thank you for everything!! We love y'all!

I cannot recommend 36th Street Events enough - they are amazing and gave us the wedding of our dreams! My husband and I are both working professionals and initially felt overwhelmed by the wedding planning process. We were so lucky to find Beth from 36th Street; some planning services force you to pick from a standard package of planning services, but Beth really listened to us and designed a custom plan for our needs. She helped us with specific design, planning, vendor, and event management elements we were looking for and was an expert across all of these areas. She is highly organized and responsive, has a demeanor that is calm, kind and easy to work with, has a ton of knowledge and experience, and always made sure our interests were reflected on the wedding day. The wedding day was gorgeous and ran so smoothly; Beth and her team were on top of every detail. I felt so relaxed the whole day and all of my guests commented on how great our planning team was. We couldn’t be more grateful to have had Jessika from 36th Street Events as our wedding planner! From start to finish, she went above and beyond to make our day truly perfect. Her remarkable attention to detail, expert organization, and genuine care for every part of our wedding planning stood out from the start. When we faced issues with our venue, Jessika stepped in and took the lead, instantly putting us at ease.

There are not words to express how amazing Jodi Wycoff of 36th St is as a wedding planner. She is extremely organized, works well with vendors, wedding party, brides and moms! Her incredible patience and calm demeanor goes a long way in the final weeks. Because of inclement weather, , we had to go to plan B and Jodi had it under control. The wedding truly was like a fairy tale and Jodi made all of the bride’s ideas and vision come to fruition. Thanks Jodi, you are the best!

Jodi is the absolute best!! We worked with Jodi Wycoff to plan our Austin wedding and highly recommend her for full-service wedding planning. She made the whole process so seamless. She sourced great vendor suggestions and managed all vendor follow ups, while keeping us on time and on budget along the way. Her friendly, upbeat and calm demeanor made it so easy to work with her and we formed a great friendship along the way! We were so at ease leading up to our wedding, and when the week came we were able to relax and enjoy time with our family and friends because Jodi and her team were so on top of everything.
Before we had even signed on with Jodi, she jumped into action, digging into a concern we had with a potential venue and guiding us to a solution. Our parents live out of town and were helping from afar. That could have felt overwhelming, but it never did because Jodi was such a calm, confident, reliable presence who was there for us every step of the way and joined meetings to provide her perspective. When it came down to the wedding weekend, she and her team were total pros; we didn’t have to worry about anything because it was clear they were on top of it. We hired Jodi Wycoff as our coordinator and cannot say enough good things about her! As our event was out of state, we quickly became overwhelmed with the options and brought Jodi in to help. When things were told to us by vendors they weren't possible, Jodi had a magical way of making them possible!
Any of the stress we previously felt, she quickly eliminated. She's punctual, experienced and on top of everything - she made our entire event as stress free as possible, and we would not have had such a successful event without her.

My daughter was recently married at The Grand Lady in Manor and Jessika was the only reason this mother of the bride could sleep during the months leading up to the wedding. From our very first meeting, we could tell that we were in very capable hands as she created the wedding of my daughter’s dreams, understanding my daughter’s vision while at the same time, being respectful of budgetary considerations. I am an extremely detail oriented person but Jessika is even more so, which was very appreciated. On the actual day of the wedding, Jessika had vendors coordinated down to the minute and I was able to sit back and enjoy my daughter’s beautiful day. I am filled with so much appreciation for her, I am tearing up as I write this. Thank you, Jessika for creating a magical day for my daughter. We will never be able to thank you enough.

I don't even know where to start with 36th St Events and especially our lead planner Beth. Firstly, we were planning our wedding from afar (Philly to Austin) and this could have been a nightmare but Beth made every step as easy as possible. We were not familiar with any vendors or event spaces so we were really starting from square 1. Beth's unique ability is that she can turn your thoughts/desires into a VERY organized and prioritized reality. If I wanted disco balls that looked like they were exploding from the ceiling, Beth knew exactly the florist to go to. If I wanted a ranch vibe in the city, Beth easily came up with 5 options and made our itinerary for the one day we were in Austin to see everyone. I didn't have to speak to a single vendor (unless of course I wanted to!) because Beth dealt with EVERY logistic (and even logistics I didn't know existed!). Leading up the wedding we had monthly calls with Beth during which she would tell us what we had accomplished and what we needed to do next. We always felt cared for and heard and she just understood us so well. The day of the wedding is when she REALLY shined!! Everything was so incredibly organized and she was prepared for every possible misstep - high winds - no problem! She reorganized our chuppah into a gorgeous floral arch, moved our welcome table and stand so it didn't blow over, and made sure guests were seated promptly. I forgot to buy chips for our dip for my pre-wedding gathering?? Didn't even notice because Beth's team had already made a run for us to the grocery store without being asked and bought them and set them right next to the dip! Ran out of tequila? Obviously no problem - extra bottles appeared like magic. She shuttled us around and made sure we got every picture, video shot, were always in the right place at the right time, and made sure everything ran smoothly. It was the best day of our lives. We cannot thank Beth enough. If you're even considering getting a planner - you better ask for Beth ASAP because she will book up fast!!!!

Jodi Wycoff is the absolute best! Our personalities just clicked, even from when we first spoke on the phone! She is so calm and organized, and it really puts your mind at ease when you get into those crazy final weeks before the wedding! She took over all communication with our vendors at the 1-month mark which allowed us to stay focused on all the final details. We were also a DIY couple (brought in all decorations ourselves / no rentals, really) — so it was really up to her & her team to bring our vision for the reception to life — and they absolutely killed it!! We had the most unbelievable wedding day & Jodi (& her team) had a huge hand in making it such a success!!

Where do I even begin?!! Words don't describe how unreal Jodi was planning our wedding. She came into a highly opinionated, fiery group and did not miss a beat. Through out the process leading up to the wedding day she did a great job professionally advising us on different decisions we had to make. Her years of experience really shined. On the wedding day she pivoted quickly due to rain and made every decision with care as if it was her own wedding. Jodi became a part of the family and embodied true class! There is no better feeling than giving your planner full reins and truly trusting in them. Simply put Jodi is the best and we are already figuring out what other events we can throw so we can continue to work together!

Jodi Wycoff is a phenomenal wedding planner. We converted a venue on our ranch into a sparkling facade. Jodi picked up immediately on our vision and made it a reality. Our caterer passed away late in the game and she immediately recommended awesome caterers. She was patient, remained calm and low key and immediately responded to emails and questions. Her recommendations throughout were perfect. The day before the wedding and the day of the wedding she took total control behind the scene so that we had nothing to do but enjoy. From day 1 Jodi had us at ease with planning. We decided to get married 5 months after getting engaged so we needed a lot of help. Not to mention, we were also planning the wedding in another state and with our 2 year old son involved. Jodi's expertise and great eye for design and detail helped curate the perfect day for us. Even with our short turn around time, not once did we feel rushed or pressured into making decisions. Jodi's ability to adjust to many different personalities involved in the wedding is a true super power.
Our "elevated dinner party " wedding was a dream come true. Full of elements I would have never thought of; elements that took our wedding for ordinary to truly one of a kind and memorable. We would have never pull of this event without Jodi and Beth!

If you're wondering whether or not to go with a day of coordinator, do not hesitate to go with 36th Street Events! Chanler Camp was a real champ :)
There's not a single thing we could think of that we didn't like about her. She was great at organising our month-of our wedding. Having her present on our wedding day was absolutely essential and couldn't have gone so effortlessly smooth without her. They really mean it when they say that your wedding day is over in a blink of an eye. She ensured that we had the opportunity to enjoy every bit of our day. Another thing we appreciated was making sure we ate and always had a margarita on hand :). We appreciate everything she did to coordinate the biggest day of our lives so far and ensured that we were happy throughout! You won't regret choosing her to plan your day!

Chanler Camp was the absolute best! She was so well organized and helped us make sure our decision making was on track leading up to the big day. On our wedding day I did not have to stress about one thing as she and her team did a wonderful job coordinating with all the vendors and ensuring everything went smoothly. Chanler also was gracious enough to support a last minute special surprise request from my husband with the band. The surprise was incredible and was possible because of Chanler's expert coordination. I could not have asked for a better experience working with a planner - I'd recommend her a thousand times over!

Beth Walker was our wedding planner and she was incredible. Seriously best of the best. Not only is she great at her job (so organized and knows everyone!), she is also incredibly kind and calming. Not only did we deal with rain but the temperature dropped dramatically in the days before our wedding. I wasn’t stressed at all because of Beth!!! Believe me when I say Chanler Camp is an absolute life saver! I went into planning a wedding with no idea what I was doing. My husband and I live in South Florida currently so I planned the whole thing out of state. While we were familiar with Austin as my husband is from there, we of course were not familiar with any vendors or the wedding scene in Austin and were unable to visit often. Chanler gave me all the information I could ever need!She was SO supportive and knowledgeable throughout the whole process. The part I loved most is that she helped make sure I got my tasks done and and was all the while fun and stress free!
I am not sure how she pulled it all off but the wedding was STUNNING! My venue was large and had a unique set up and she handled it brilliantly. I never imagined the day of my wedding would be so stress free but she seriously made it that way. My only worry in the world was being a fun, beautiful bride (which I totally was).
After the wedding I had multiple family members and friends sing Chanler's praises and our wedding parties loved working with her as well.

Jodi Wycoff is simply phenomenal From the first consultation to the last detail, she asked the right questions to really understand the vision that I had for our wedding. I always felt that she was truly listening and she constantly found ways to meet requests, while also bringing in her knowledge and experience at every step. When I asked her honest opinion, I always felt that I got exactly that, and it was always delivered through the lens of what she knew my priorities to be.
I needed a LOT of help from beginning to end and she did a great job of filling in the gaps of my vision, as well as taking off so much from my plate.
Lastly - we planned a full outdoor event and we were met with rain and 40 degree weather. Jodi calmly pivoted multiple times and negotiated with the venue to pull off a truly stunning event. Her level of communication, professionalism, creativity, and experience allowed me to keep calm and carry on :).
Hire Jodi if you want to truly enjoy your wedding rather than stress over it.

Wedding planners are the best and Chanler was the best of the best! My husband and I (fiancé at the time) had a hard time finding direction for our decor and she helped us effortlessly. She helped with decor and the day of. We literally had zero concerns/worries on our day. We just showed up and she made the magic happen! We will definitely be using her again for any big event!

I interviewed a few planners before deciding on Jodi Wycoff. From the start, her calm and collected way of speaking told me she'd not add to my stress during this process and that carried true throughout my wedding planning and day of. I loved knowing that Jodi had a team behind her with 36th Street Events so if we needed to get other vendor options or ideas (my wedding only had a 6 month lead time so some of the well-known vendors were already booked), there was a wealth of Austin experience and resources for her to lean on if need be. She helped me get an awesome band on short notice and the florist and photographers she found for me were just the right fit for us.
Jodi did an excellent job keeping us on track so I didn't have to be up at night wondering if I missed anything. When I changed my mind or told her I wasn't into something, she never made me feel like I was inconveniencing or stressing her out...she truly kept me and my fiancé and our wishes as priority. She was able to make quick pivots when needed, come up with creative solutions based on constraints, and keep pushing for more reasonably priced options when the first quotes came in high. When I wanted to do something because of price that would have added stress for that day without saving me much money, she expertly navigated it by allowing me to entertain the idea and gently suggested common sense at just the right moment. :)
Worth every penny to have Jodi and 36th Street Events help us plan our wedding...too bad I only plan to have that one wedding, otherwise I'd hire her again!

Jessika was such a lifesaver for our wedding! We had moved away from Austin and were functionally organizing a destination wedding from afar, so we hired her for day-of services plus advance planning for three months before, We simply couldn't have done it without her. Before the big day, she helped us think through logistics and did such a stellar job of walking the line between helping us realize our ideas...and gently nudging when we needed the professional guidance to steer away from some of those ideas.
The thing you want on the day of is knowing you're in good hands so you can focus on the moment, and we were only able to do that because of her. Jessika and her staff handled a thousand tiny things to make the day go smoothly and we didn't even notice anything was awry, which is the highest compliment. She even transported a carful of decor to and from the venue, really above and beyond. We highly recommend her!

36th Street was unbelievable. I knew Beth from when I used to live in Austin and I didn’t even consider reaching out to any other planner after getting engaged. Beth has such a calming and kind demeanor which was a huge comfort on more than one occasion through our 2.5 year engagement. Her personal values shine through in the way that she runs her business and we were so appreciative to work with a company that puts compassion and kindness first. We hired Beth for “day of” but I definitely felt like she was an incredible resource for “2.5 years of.” Once we got to the month, week, and day of though it was so obvious how good she is at her job and how much she loves it. I was very into the weeds on a number of details about the wedding, but I completely trusted Beth to take over, to confirm all the last minute things, and to handle any issues that popped up - and she did all of these things with such grace. On wedding day, multiple family members and bridal party folks commented to us about how lovely she was and how impressed they were that she was handling everything and still looking fab (she’s a beauty in and out <3)! The groomsmen specifically commented about how she wasn’t mean to them which I guess has been a common occurrence for them in other weddings, lol. Beth and her little army of superstars were just that - superstars. The day was literally perfect and that is in HUGE part to them. Also, Jessica joined us at the hotel for getting ready and at our after party for a few hours. It was such a relief to know we had an extra hand to lean on. So thankful for all of these ladies, and can not recommend them more highly!

Jessika was easily my favorite part of planning our wedding. We had to postpone our wedding one year due to COVID, and Jessika made the entire process so much less stressful. We had a small issue come up the week of our wedding, and she called us to let us know and already had a solution ready. That's exactly what you need the week of your wedding. Jessika is the absolute best at what she does, and I loved working with her to bring our wedding vision to life. If you are considering wedding planners, you can end your search now. If I could give her 10 stars, I absolutely would!

Planning a wedding is hard enough, but doing so during covid comes with even more difficulty. I reached out to several wedding planners, but 36th Street was my first pick after doing endless research on wedding sites and Instagram (as I’m sure most brides can relate). I was so happy when I met Jordan (our planner), and I do not think I could have planned our wedding without her. My husband and I did not disagree on much during planning, but the few things we did disagree upon, Jordan was a neutral, objective shoulder on whom we could rely. My husband even commented how pleased he was that he did not feel like she ever took sides between us, but worked to find compromises that helped us achieve our goals. She is also great at calligraphy, and she did an awesome job working with us to design invites, decor, etc. Any time something came up, Jordan was all over it and got everything fixed. On the day of the wedding, I could actually relax and enjoy it because I knew Jordan would take care of everything, and she more than delivered! I cannot recommend her and 36th Street Events enough!

We worked with Jordan for about 13 months planning our wedding, which was on 9/24/22. When I say it was TRULY the most gorgeous, special, well-planned day of our lives, I mean it. From shielding me (the bride )from the minor snafus of the day to ensuring that we had time to eat, time to mingle, and time to make the day exactly what we wanted it to be, we appreciate every single thoughtful touch and planning skill that Jordan used to bring our wedding day to life.
Every guest we've chatted with said ours was their favorite wedding (ever!) and so much of that credit is owed to Jordan and the 36th St. team. Things came together better than we could have EVER imagined, and for that we will be eternally grateful. It was absolutely amazing and between 36th St. and the vendor squad Jordan assembled for us, we'd recommend everyone one million times over.

36th Street Events is definitely one of the more well known wedding planning agencies in the city, and it's obvious why. They make the planning process seamless. Coming from an events agency background myself, it was important to me that I didn't need to worry about anything and that the planner had processes and procedures that made the event seamless. I truly was able to throw all of my already planned details, not so planned details, and details I didn't know about yet at my planner (Chanler). She was as involved as she needed to be as a month of planner (as in, she wasn't all over me, nor did she ghost when I needed - she was perfectly accessible). And she took all of my details and executed the event flawlessly and with a smile on her face! I'd like to think I was easier than most as I didn't have a ceremony, but I'm certain she would have handled that with grace and ease as well. I'm truly grateful for Chanler - and the pricing was competitive too, so I know I chose correctly!

Jessika Hassenzahl and the 36th Street Events team was nothing but WONDERFUL to work with during our entire wedding planning process. Jessika went above and beyond to work with my husband and I (who live out of state) to make the process of planning a wedding from afar as seamless as possible. Perfection! Beth was amazing from start to finish. She has the most easy going temperament...So positive with a major can do attitude!! Her team anticipates your every need and jumps to it the minute you need something. Beth was the go between with every vendor and guided us thru every step of the process. We are so grateful for Beth Walker and the whole team at 36th Street Events. Because of COVID, our wedding date was delayed by a year, and Beth was so helpful during this time, making us feel comfortable with our decision, putting all of our worries to ease, and quickly rescheduling all of the vendors we had already booked. She curated the most amazing group of vendors and absolutely nailed the aesthetic that I had envisioned for our wedding weekend! Her years of experience and relationships with vendors not only made planning easier but also extremely efficient. She focused our spending on things that actually mattered and kept us from overpaying one vendor by $5,000! Our main objective was to provide the most fun and enjoyable experience for our guests, and Beth always had the best advice on this! Our wedding weekend could not have been more perfect, and if we had to redo it all, we would choose Beth and her team again without any hesitation!

I am very happy with the services offered by 36th Street Events. We worked with Chanler Camp as the lead coordinator and Jordan and Jessica came along as the assistants on our wedding day. I had already planned a whole lot and I am an organized person and needed someone to see my vision come to life on our wedding day. Chanler and her team definitely exceeded our expectations with professional behavior, organized project planning and kind and assertive delivery.

I cannot even begin to describe how incredible Jordan Welch and the entire 36th Street team are! We were planning our wedding from almost 1,200 miles away and Jordan made everything so easy and as if we weren't so far away. Our weekly (and sometimes daily) emails are something I already miss dearly. Jordan immediately became apart of the family and my father, who is a hard man to please, sang PRAISES about how much he enjoyed working with her. She listened to what was important to my now husband and I while also making sure we were staying within our budget. On the day of the wedding, Jordan and her team came incredibly prepared with everything we might need and made the entire evening run so smoothly! I cannot thank Jordan and the entire team enough for making all my dreams come to life!!

Our coordinator Chanler Camp, and the entire team at 36th Street events exceeded our expectations in every way, and if I could get them a 10-star rating, I would! My fiancé and I had just moved to Austin from NYC when we were planning our wedding, and when we were meeting with coordinators, we wanted someone who was calm, cool, cultured, fun, organized, and knew all the best places/vendors/tips for Austin. Chanler was all of those things and MORE, and towards the last few days of planning, it really felt like Chanler had become our best friend. To be honest, when I was meeting with other planners, some stressed me out, and others didn't vibe with us as a couple, but Chanler was an instant match. On the day of our wedding, the 36th Street team was so, so professional that even our guests were complimenting us on how elite and organized everything was. Chanler and this entire team are so lovely, I will continue to say the best things about them to anyone that will listen.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Chanler from 36th Street Events - she is truly an angel that made my wedding day so perfect. Don't even think twice, and book her 😊. She will truly make your day so special and worry-free. I got to really take in my wedding day and live in the moment which is really every bride's dream. On top of that, she felt like a best friend which was really comforting. My husband also couldn’t believe how amazing she was at her job, and our entire wedding party was just so impressed.
My wedding venue, Ma Maison, requires you to book a day of planner and I did A LOT of interviews with different preferred wedding planning companies and their planners, but most of them felt so intense and honestly stressed me out. I wanted my day of planner to feel like one of my friends since they are literally with you every step of the way on your wedding day. As soon as I had a call with Chanler I knew right away she was the wedding planner I wanted to book. She has a calm but very cheerful demeanor, and brings such a positive vibe to all things. While Ma Maison did require me to book a day of planner, looking back I would book Chanler whether it was required or not because she took so much stress off my plate during the pre-planning process & made my wedding day run smoother than butter!
Let's talk details:
--> Pre-planning process:
While I booked the "day of planning" package, services actually start ~6 weeks out where Chanler took over all of my vendor & contract communication (so helpful!). Even before the 6 week timeline, Chanler and I met for coffee so that I could tell her my wedding plans and ask questions. From there, Chanler put together an initial timeline that we were able to make changes to along the way. This was extremely helpful because I had no idea where to start with a timeline. Chanler also provided me with pre-planning documents and checklists which was kept us on track. She did this in a shared excel/word doc which made it so EASY to make comments to eachother & have timely communication. Every bride knows how stressful wedding planning can be, and Chanler made the process organized to help me not get over-whelmed.
-->Rehearsal:
My wedding party was SO IMPRESSED with Chanler! She is spunky and professional & did an amazing job getting our large wedding party (20 people total + parents) to follow instructions. Chanler did a great job getting our wedding party to listen and have a successful rehearsal but to also enjoy it (other weddings I’ve been in, it can sometimes feel like a chore). EVERYONE LOVED CHANLER!

This is where the magic happens! Chanler and her team were just out of this world amazing on the wedding day. They are so professional, and helped us follow the timeline. It was truly like MAGIC. Not once did I feel stressed with the timeline or was thinking "what's next". I just got to live in the moment and enjoy my wedding day with my husband, family, and friends. My Mom, and bridal party just kept raving about how wonderful Chanler and her team was, they made the day run so smoothly!

I had the pleasure of working with Jordan directly leading up to the wedding. She was absolutely great. Knowledgeable, organized, and overall wonderful character. Wedding planning was fun and easy with 36th street. I knew I had a group that I could trust. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Beth Walker is a wedding superhero and an all-around amazing human. One of the few good things to come out of TWO Covid postponements was being able to work with her over the course of nearly 3 years. I believe we were her first ever covid postponement when we had to move our wedding just six days out back in March 2020. She handled every curveball with such grace and successfully guided us through a process that was brand new to everyone involved.
I already had a fully-fledged design/vision in mind for the wedding and most of my vendors already booked when I hired her. Not only did she help me find any vendors I was missing to complete the vision, she effectively communicated with vendors she was familiar with and new ones to perfectly execute the wedding of my dreams. I am admittedly a control freak so being able to say I was very relaxed on my wedding day, knowing that Beth and her team were taking care of everything, is not something I say lightly.
Beth was a bright spot during wedding planning and I'm eternally grateful for her kindness, expertise, organization, and encouragement. I met with two or three other planners and am so, so glad I went with 36th Street Events.

I hired 36th street events for partial planning and day of planning for my wedding in September 2021. I worked with Jessika and she is a pleasure to work with! Before the event she gave us all the tools we needed to plan our layout, track meals and understand the schedule of the wedding day events. She made sure all of our vendors were informed of the production schedule and were all on the same page. On the wedding day itself Jessika and her assistant made everything go completly smoothly and even grabbed me a new pair of shoes from my room when my original ones were killing me. They were professional and had a great positive attitude. Highly reccomend I don't know how we would have done it without them!

Thank you, 36h Street and Jessika!! We are based in NYC and basically had to plan our entire wedding remotely until the weekend of the wedding. Jessika went above and beyond to be our eyes, hands, and feet on the ground -- she looked at rentals, helped us connect to vendors (including managing last-minute changes), and even went to our tasting!! I don't know how she juggled everything so professionally, with all the other COVID-impacted weddings she was managing AND a baby on the way. Beth Walker is an angel! I could not have dreamed up a better wedding planner. From the first conversation we had, I knew I couldn’t plan my wedding without her. Beyond being the sweetest human and a badass female business owner, she created the wedding of my dreams. I knew I didn’t have the eye for design which was my impetus for hiring Beth and she went above and beyond the call of duty. She attended all the meetings with my vendors since my mom didn’t live in town. She made suggestions for vendors to use and every single one of them worked out amazing. She maintained a positive attitude and helped me re-plan my wedding two times through COVID related postponements. When we lost my father-in-law days before the wedding, she supported us through it all to give us the best day! She kept up with every single detail along the way so that I didn’t have to. Hiring Andie from 36th Street Events was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day. We got married in Austin but live out of state and were nervous about planning a wedding from afar. There was no need to be nervous once we had Andie on board, from the moment we started talking to her about our wedding it felt like a weight had been lifted off our shoulders. She was so organized and asked all the right questions. The day of our wedding went so smoothly thanks to Andie and her team. We had our wedding during COVID and Andie didn't bat an eye when we explained all of the social distancing/safety precautions that were important to us. Jessika is a STAR. As a project manager/perfectionist/enneagram type 1, I felt a lot of pressure about getting my wedding right and having a plan. There was a lot I wanted to do myself but I needed an expert to keep us on track and on our timeline. Time and time again, Jessika read between the lines for what I wanted and delivered beautifully - like contacting rogue vendors, and keeping the vibe chill (though I am so not chill).
Tragically, I had a family death ~20 days before my wedding and had to change course on a dime. My nerves were shot and I was in a grief fog. Jessika graciously stepped in and helped reorganize where necessary, working gently and thoughtfully. I don't think I would have gotten through the day without her.
I recommend Jessika and the 36th Street team very highly -- as they are intuitive, caring, experienced and organized.

Jessika and 36th Street were the absolute best. Planning a wedding alone was not something we wanted to do, so we made the decision to hire a wedding planner, and we made the right choice. After we had everything planned and ready to go, Covid threw a wrench in our plans. Jessika jumped in and made it stress free for us, making sure everything was moved to a new date and handled the details with the vendors.
The day of went fantastic as well. Jessika and team were so involved in everything and made sure that we could focus on each other and not on everything going on around us. I CAN NOT recommend her enough.

Jessika with 36th Street Events was absolutely the best and extremely well suited for her job. She does not stress or overreact, she stays steady and calm and has all the right answers. My daughter did a lot of research to find the right wedding planner for us and she totally hit the jackpot with Jessicka. She was always organized and professional, kept us on track, schedule and budget. She listened and she produced. She promised all along that she would take care of everything so that we could relax and enjoy the wedding weekend and she did just that! Jessika with 36th Street Events is our go to girl! She coordinated both or our daughter’s special days. One was in Austin at a lovely venue and the other at our family ranch outside of Austin. Both were dream days and we could not have done it without her! Her attention to detail is top notch and she has such a calm personality! WOW! I cannot say enough good things about 36th street and Jessika specifically! I am an absolute perfectionist and Jessika knew exactly what to do & what to say, before I could even stress about an answer :) Jessika truly made my dream wedding come true & better than I ever imagined! Everything was perfect (down to every little tiny detail that would only matter to the bride and her mom ) and I can honestly say I was truly able to enjoy and take everything in and cherish my wedding day without a care in the world! There's not enough stars in the world to accurately portray how much I loved working with 36th Street Events! I have been dreading writing this review because it really means that wedding planning and working with Jessika from 36th Street Events is really over - but with how phenomenal this company is, it was the least I could do!
Where to even begin? Jessika was not only my wedding planner, but she was my friend, therapist, confidante, and biggest supporter throughout the process of not only the normal wedding planning stress but add on planning a wedding during a freaking pandemic. When I called her tearfully to postpone our original May 9th wedding date, she acted so quick to make sure all my vendors would be onboard with our new date - I never had to lift a finger. She was always in our corner constantly asking us what would make US happy not our guests, but US - she continued to ground us when we were getting overwhelmed with the choices we had to make.
It makes me emotional to write this review because there’s really no words to express how absolutely grateful I am to have met Jessika during this process. She was my angel that rescued me from the constant stress and tears that I was dealing with near everyday. I would text her late at night, bombard her with e-mails and each one she responded with such grace and kindness. She was on top of COVID safety guidelines for events and made sure to communicate that with me to ensure that our wedding would happen with all the right safety protocols. Being a COVID bride and moving forward with our wedding despite the state of the world, you really do need someone to be your support system and be in your corner - and Jessika was exactly that.
On our actual wedding day, she made sure to fight to ensure that the vision I had dreamed up, I would be able to keep. I can absolutely say my wedding day was the perfect day because of Jessika and her team. From keeping all my vendors in line, building out our timeline, set up, making sure I was hydrated and breaking down our wedding at 12:30 in the morning, Jessika freaking did it all. Her only instruction for me was to be in the moment, and enjoy our special day.
If you’re currently looking for a wedding planning group, look no further. It was absolutely worth every penny. If you luck out with getting Jessika as your girl, know that your wedding day is going to be amazing and you won’t have to worry about a single THING. I’m beyond lucky to have not only met Jessika, not only my wedding planning angel - but a true life friend. We love 36th Street Events!!!

As this pandemic is upon us, and we are ALL self-quarantining (hopefully), my husband and I wanted to sit down together and pen a little message that is dear to our hearts regarding the incredible wedding planning industry that may need a smile right now.
Ren Newey at 36th Street Events was the MOST amazing, thorough, thoughtful, business-minded but caring, tasteful, professional, detail-oriented, positive event planner. When our wedding was over my husband said, I quote “What are we going to do without Ren?”
From the beginning, she identified how, when, at what pace we wanted to plan our wedding. Looking back, I don’t know what we would have done without her with us each having full-time jobs with really inflexible hours. She was available late at nights if we needed, conference phone calls, quick lunch break briefs. She made the process so flexible, yet incredibly structured, and that alone alleviates so much stress.
The tools, resources, contacts, input and advice, and knowledge that 36th Street sets you up with is invaluable. I remember in so many situations saying “How am I supposed to know what I want? I’ve never been married before, ugh,” Ren was our light and guidance on just about every detail, and even was there to show us and check off the list the details that we didn’t even know we were forgetting.
As I think most couples do, we definitely had parts and pieces of a vision for our wedding in the beginning. Ren took all those great things and seamlessly wove it together, with all the other things we never knew we needed or, more importantly, had to have (like a silent generator, who knew). We chose a downtown Austin atypical, historic venue that wasn’t your all-inclusive wedding venue. Ren had every single element in check, and exactly what we dreamed. We personally had a request to be able to flip our ceremony space to allow the historic home to be a beautiful nighttime backdrop to our reception and dance floor. Ren did her magic and was our voice between vendors. She made all possible, and we were even able to use our rentals and floral arrangements in multiple areas.
From the inception of our planning process, Ren always presented Plan A with a Plan B, and maybe even Plan C in the back of her mind. She can evolve anything, idea, disaster or pandemic, into just the wedding you were always envisioning. Emotions run high on your wedding day, small things all of a sudden matter, but she was there and grounded for me (and in turn my husband, mother, MIL, and so on) – she’s was attentive to every detail and made everything truly just right and perfect, our ideal evening, timely but relaxing, gorgeous and aweing, and the best night of our lives.
Ren & 36th Street Events have done so much good couples & families, and are so incredibly talented. Wedding planners make weddings go round, we’re more than convinced. All our love, Camille & Shea.

Run, don’t walk and hire Ren Newey from 36th Street Events! My now husband and I hired Ren to assist us with our incredible wedding at Mattie’s at Green Pasture in November last year. We live in New York and neither of us are from Austin, so we were lost when it came to the process of executing our own wedding. From the moment we initially video conferenced with Ren, to her helping to send us off after our reception, hiring Ren was one the best decision we made when planning our wedding!
We hired Ren to step in a few months out before the big day to help lock in all of the details and also coordinate the run of show on the day of our wedding. Here are some of the main reasons why we absolutely loved and would recommend hiring Ren for your wedding:
• From the start, Ren was/is completely genuine and has developed some really strong references from florists to photographers, and also had experience at our venue, all of which was extremely helpful throughout the process. I’m admittedly a control freak but Ren was absolutely crucial to plug in the gaps and ensure we were covering all of our bases in the weeks leading up to our wedding. When we were two months out, Ren stepped right in to take on most of the conversations with the band, photographer, florist, etc. and it took a HUGE amount of pressure off our backs in the lead up to the event.
• As with any wedding, there were some unexpected issues that came up right before the wedding and during the reception, and Ren and her team’s ability to help on the fly was unsurpassed. For example, my husband actually knocked a full glass of red wine all over my wedding dress during the dinner portion of the night (don’t worry, we laugh about it now!), and Ren and her team snapped into putting together an action plan. They coordinated with my bridesmaids, got the key to our hotel suite in downtown Austin, sent one of her people to retrieve a back up dress, and got back in time so I could change and play it off as a planned outfit change. Simply amazing and we were so thankful for Ren’s calmness and planning throughout this portion of the night.
• On the day of, we were so happy with Ren and her team’s professionalism and their attitude about the wedding itself. They were so incredibly on top of the run of show, helping with herding guests, and were genuinely fun to work with as we proceeded through the night. It was wonderful working with a collective group of powerhouse women who obviously love what they do and have a true passion for weddings!
Ren, we can't thank you enough for helping us throw one of the best days of our lives so far!

Words can not describe the wedding planner godmother that Ren Newey and 36th Street Events is!! She made all of our dreams come true. Ren's attention to detail, taste, eye for design, overall attitude and expert opinion was unmatched! She made our wedding beyond perfect and we could not have asked for anyone better to lead our vendors. Planning a wedding can be stressful and yet Ren made it fun and stress free! Jessika Knight was the planner for our wedding on December 29, 2019 at South Congress Hotel, but she was much much more than that. She was a visionary, designer, project manager, advocate, negotiator, team leader and supporter. She did it all with a smile and a warmth that put me at ease from day 1.
Ours was a very short engagement - only 5 months - and Jessika exceeded our expectations at every turn. She really understood us and what we wanted and found the right vendors at the right price to execute our vision. She made excellent recommendations and was so so knowledgeable.
It was truly a perfect day! I can't imagine how we could have improved on it. If anything went wrong I'm certainly not aware of it (as it should be)! Jessika deserves all the credit for making our wedding dreams come true.
