can offer especially pulling in a dessert truck at the night’s end! The space, having three distinct areas, allowed our guests to choose their own adventure. They could dance in the main space, hang out in the lounge, or mingle in the atrium which I think elevated our event. Andrea, Abby, Emory, and the entire 501 Union team are incredible, they answered all of my questions in a timely manner, kept a constant line of communication, and day of made sure our wedding went smoothly. The bar team was wonderful and many of our guests mentioned that to us post-party. All in all we are so happy we went with 501 Union. If you are looking for a unique, personalized alternative to a generic catering hall, this is your place.

nice, especially for those that wanted to get off the dance floor for a breather. The team at 501 is also wonderful -- extremely responsive, flexible, and professional! Our main point of contact gave us great recommendations for vendors, including catering and florals, and made the process fun instead of stressful. The in-house planning team, Starling, was incredible (and we only used them for the last few weeks!). We would absolutely recommend having your wedding at 501.

our New York-based friends and family, 501 Union also provided our out-of-town visitors with the perfect taste of Brooklyn cool. We hoped to show our guests the world-class aesthetics and attention to detail that New York City is known for, while also throwing the kind of bangers-only dance party we fell in love with at popular clubs and intimate house parties in the early days of our relationship. The dark-wood and brass-fixtures look of the venue reassured us that it would feel elegant and classic. But the eclectic and eye-catching wallpapers added a delicate, subtly classy eccentricity that really made the pasty feel unique. For example, the green-and-silver leaf pattern in the cocktail lounge made a great background for pictures and the silver textured waves in the main room came alive with flashes of light and colored reflections when we turned down the lights for dancing! We also found many of our vendors through 501 Union’s recommended vendors list and were largely satisfied with the recommendations made and the standards to which 501 holds those vendors it recommends as partners. It greatly reassured us to have a team of disparate vendors who nevertheless knew each other and how to work within the given space. The staff at 501 Union were super helpful throughout the process as well. From their hardworking bartenders amazing hustle during the actual wedding, to our venue contact Abby’s prompt and consistent responses throughout the process. Occasionally another vendor would miss a meeting or drop a ball, but Abby was consistently pitch-perfect professional the entire time we worked together, which provided us with a much-needed sense of stability throughout the process.

ly what we wanted - an intimate, romantic, Brooklyn vibe. We were worried about December since it wasn’t our first choice season. But it actually added to the spaces beauty. We had 108 people and although I think you can fit up to 160 or something, if you want dancing I think the max would be around 120/130. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. The great part of 501 is it has its own character. It’s beautiful by itself so when you add flowers it really shines. Plus they have their own greenery already for you to play off of! The only slightly annoying thing (which happens with every non hotel venue probably) is that you can bring anything into the space until the day of if they have another event the night before. We figured it out but just another logistical nuance. You are required a planner and to bring in vendors for mostly everything except the bar. Our wedding was perfect and the space was so special. Highly recommend.

I have been told by multiple guests that they are truly impressed by the venue the beautiful setting it provided for the wedding day. Working with the team at 501 Union was very smooth. My sales manager responded promptly to emails and answered my many questions. The bar staff and day of staff were fantastic!! Most vendors I worked with also had nothing but great experiences at 501 Union so definitely recommend this venue to all!

smooth sailing. They have clearly done this a few times and it felt like no request was too big for them. The venue itself is proper NYC! Great views in a quaint neighborhood, with an indoor space that's large, but still comfortable. Whether you go grand with the designs or keep it minimal, you will have a space that your family and friends will keep talking about!

were extremely happy when we told them we had booked 501, as their staff makes it extremely easy for outside vendors to be accommodated. The space is beautiful, and it really was a dream venue! My only notes are the getting ready bridal suite has extremely dim lighting so it wasn't great for getting ready. However, we all got ready in the front lounge which was perfectly fine and less cramped. Everything else was a 10/10! Thanks so much, 501!

We could not have been more pleased. 501 Union is a beautiful and unique space. The vibe is both vintage and modern and the space and building are well maintained. The best part is that not much decorating is needed. It's such an impressive space that you don't need to do much to make it look elegant.

The bar packages are a little confusing, so I’d make sure to ask several clarifying questions to ensure you are able to have exactly what you need. We received our security deposit back promptly.

t selling point. There are so many stylish places to take photos and the lighting (even on a dreary day like ours!) was phenomenal. On top of this, our point of contact Abby and her team were incredible to work with -- super responsive, super knowledgable and super nice. They were buttoned up and kept all the details straight and even let my bridesmaids, MOB and MOG get ready in the lounge area! Our bar contact, James and his staff were also fantastic. We live in Texas so couldn't attend a cocktail tasting so he held one for us over Zoom - told us what ingredients to buy, taught us how to mix, it was so fun and now we know how to make our wedding cocktails :) We also got tons of compliments on the speed and level of service from the bar throughout the wedding. Thank you SO much to the entire 501 Union team!! Cannot recommend this venue or this staff highly enough!

The venue itself is stunning on its own with a beautiful atrium, modern bar and large open dining and dancing hall. We did both our ceremony and reception in the space. If she wasn't sure of an answer she always got back to me with a timely response once she found out options. We worked with Andrea and Ares the night of the wedding. What a team! Andrea went above and beyond to check vaccine cards and ensure safety and cleanliness of the event space. She answered all my questions and offered help whenever she could. Ares was so incredibly helpful even though my requests were completely out of his job scope. He helped me hook up an extra camera and launch a virtual ceremony for guests who could not attend. He helped me troubleshoot with lighting and equipment. I am so pleased my clients chose this venue and my clients were thrilled with the ambience and beverage packages at the venue. Pthe bartenders were responsive and willing to work with the specialty cocktails my clients requested. Parking was easy in the neighborhood, and as a Brooklyn native, I know this is a luxury! The venue was incredibly accommodating to my clients, myself and all vendors. I've never worked with such professional and helpful people. I would recommend this venue to any couple getting married, corporate group or non profit event. The space is modern and fun yet professional. to get married here. It truly was a dream wedding for us, and we have to thank the 501 Union team who helped us achieve our vision. What was important for us when it came to our venue: 1) Overall vibe of the place. We were looking for "romantic," "moody," "chic," vibe - and this place was it! Especially because our wedding was in December, the venue helped turn our wedding into an intimate, cozy, romantic, beautiful ceremony. We decorated with flowers and many candles. The space was convenient for our guests, because the cocktail hour, the ceremony, and the main dining area were all in one place. Our guests commented how easy it was for them to move around the space throughout the night. 2) The flexibility to really design and play around the space to our liking. So I guess this really depends on what kind of a bride you are - but I didn't want everything to be "set up" for me. I wanted to be able work with the space to create the vibe/mood that I envisioned. 501 Union is so versatile. You can leave the door to the atrium open during the warmer season, bring in food trucks, have the ceremony in the main room, the atrium, play around with different types of decorations to really change the feel of the space, and we loved that (although it was.. a lotttt of work - but I'm a bit neurotic like that) - we could truly turn this place into a wedding venue that reflected who we were as a couple. 3) The People we'd be working with. We worked with Angelica (the venue manager) throughout our planning process, and she was absolutely wonderful. She was punctual, organized, kind, professional, and understanding. When I was interviewing vendors, one of the questions I'd ask each one of them was "We are considering 501 Union as our venue - have you worked at that venue, are you familiar?" and every single vendor I had spoken with would say that the 501 union team is the best - and that they truly love working with them. Trust me, the PEOPLE you'll be working with during this process will make EVERY difference. From first meeting, to the final walk through, from the set up in the morning, to the clean up in the evening - absolutely incredible experience with them. Ohhh my husband and I truly miss our day. Andrea, our day of contact, made sure everything was flawless and worked in perfect harmony with our wedding planners, Arch Events, which made everything stress free. The bar team was super fast and professional throughout the whole evening. Our featured cocktail, a passion fruit margarita, was a huge hit and super tasty. 10s across the board!

nue is gorgeous. The natural greenery (which they have a gardener for) is stunning. I love flowers but was actually able to save a little when it came to the arrangements given what was already in the venue. Not only was the venue beautiful, but the service was amazing! One of the most important things to us was great cocktails (we work in the industry). 501 Union did everytihng in their power to accommodate brands, create delicious cocktails, and make sure we had the time of our lives. Everything was easy and communication felt seamless (despite Covid!) I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for the perfect industrial chic venue with phenomenal cocktails, wonderful service, and beautiful greenery.
