On November 12th, 2022, I used this service for myself and my bridal party. Red flags: - Lara called to remind me to bring a cash tip before even seeing the service. She said she couldn't use Venmo, cash app, or personal zelle, even though that's what the artists let me do. Don't tell me how to tip. She was very pushy before with tip. Mentioned it every time she contacted me before the service. I still left them each a $100 tip. I firmly believe in tipping, but let me take care of how I will do it AFTER THE SERVICE. -Lara found an error in each email I sent her -Rude, strict, PUSHY, uppity, and uptight. The make up lady was the only nice one, although her makeup was quite amateur. -They charge $10 for each person that has hair past their shoulders. lmao who doesn't have hair beyond shoulders? Nickel and Dime us like crazy. -Cheryl inappropriately yelled at my sisters who were children, making them feel super uncomfortable. It was awkward. -All of the lashes fell off before the ceremony. -Ceremony started at 3. Lara made the girls start at 7, they were done with everyone by 11:30 am. They rushed through each girl! There were 2 kids that did go on the beach after their hair was done. She was nice enough to throw their hair up into a bun the girls could have done herself. However, she yelled at them. Don't yell at my family. Just be professional and say you can't fix it. - My headband did not stay in and her lashes fell out too. Top lip was non existent on the lip stick. -Veil placement was included, but they left as soon as they were finished. They left around 12. That means they all had to wait around for 3 hours. At that point, they all stayed put in their room. No one was running around or messing with their hair and makeup (other than the two kids). Why make them all wake up extra early if you were going to leave at 12 anyways. -Very strict about printing out specific styles, but then just did what they wanted anyways. Huge waste of time created a spreadsheet of all of the girls. My wife spent hours on something they didn't even use. Lara was so pushy to have all of this. -All of the hairstyles we could have done ourselves. They were super amateur. -WE GOT RIPPED OFF. WE DID NOT GET WHAT WE PAID FOR AT ALL. DO NOT RECOMMEND. So embarrassing of their service. Absolutely unacceptable! I am not a picky person. They were the ONLY one of my vendors that did not get a 5 star review. I'm not hard to impress.

In a few words: too much money for what it is. The trial turned out good but it was an expensive trial Lara charged almost $400 for a trial. The day of the wedding day, the person that Lara brought with her (Mady) to take care of the makeup of the bridesmaids and mothers, wasn’t able to deliver the looks that each girl requested. Looks that Lara knew in advance, because she requested that information and provided that info many times and on time. My sister and 2 of my bridesmaids had to re-touch their makeup, because it wasn’t well made. My sister in law had to take care of her own make up, because what Mady did on her face turned out terrible: an orange face with dark eyebrows. Lara was in charge of the hair & makeup of the bride: the color pallet that Lara used during the trial (warmed colors), wasn’t the same one that she used on me for my wedding day (cold colors), which made me look pale. Thank to my sister & sister in law, my makeup was corrected, because the eyeliner was also uneven and the blush wasn’t a good tone for me. My hair didn’t turn as good as in the trial. In the trial we used my hair extensions, on the wedding day she refused to use mine and instead we used hers. So, she was able to charge for that on top of the rest of the services that were already paid. My hair bang turned out flat, I had to fix it myself. Lara had also to take care of the hair of all of the bridesmaids and mothers. The hair of one of my bridesmaids didn’t last the entire wedding. Lara also had to take care of the makeup of my mom in law, because she didn’t want Mady to do it for her when she saw the results on the rest of the girls. I paid for hair and makeup for 7 people, just 6 where able to be ready, because ofthe stress and the chaos during that morning while we were getting ready, becasue of the results. That morning turned to be stressful. Too much for travel fees when they weren’t even needed to be that much. One of the bridemaids left a comment here, and Lara gave a false statement in her response, saying that one of the moms and the groom and the bride were pleased and gave her compliments. Those compliments where after the trial, not for the performance and results during the wedding day. There's also no video that shows such a thing either as she also mentioned on her response.

Great company if you are looking for hair and makeup artists who can go to you and your venue which is what I did, and I loved the work that my artists did for me, but the management that they are under, Lara, is not that great to work with as a Bride. In the weeks leading up to my wedding Lara was quite micromanaging of me and of my hair and makeup artists. I am all for open communication, but Lara contacted me almost weekly, and as my wedding got closer she left me voicemails daily. When I was taking care of my final payments via Venmo she billed me for the wrong amounts, and I had to catch the mistakes prior to paying. Upon sorting that out I communicated to Lara that I wanted to tip my hair and makeup artists with cash on my wedding day and she told me via text that she does not recommend tipping my artists and that I should account for my tip in an addition Venmo charge so that she (as the company manager) could take a cut of their tip. Regardless, I still tipped my artists the day of directly so that they did not have to give any amount of their tip to the management as that is not customary with vendor practices. Overall, I would recommend the company if you are looking for a vendor to go to you on your wedding day, but I personally did not like feeling micromanaged by one of my vendors regarding my special day. A Bride's wedding day can be stressful enough, it wasn't helpful to have a vendor continuously down my throat leading up to the wedding just to "check in." My other vendors checked in once or twice before my wedding and that was plenty.

I never had a make up like this ever done on me . I could have let a 5 years old do it and they probably would have done a better job. She made me look orange , with black eyebrows and uneven and overly thick eyeliners that kept smearing . I looked like terrible ! I had to wash my face and so my make up myself . The brides make up was okay but her eyeliner was uneven. We had to tell them how to do their job! And for the money they are making during these events that should not be in our mind . The whole wedding parties make up was not at all good . Please do yourself a favor and hire a professional for your big day and not these people ! On top of it they will rip you off with their prices!

Worst make up service ever. Don’t even think of booking this service. First the owner called the day of the trial and told us the make up person was sick. We had to reschedule really close to my vow renewal ceremony. The day of the trial a hair and make up person were sent out to me. There were a lot problems. The make up was heavy and caked on and didn’t work on my skin the lipstick was bleeding and eye make up was all wrong. The make up artist didn’t seem to come up with any big solutions but she promised to work on it. The day of my vow renewal arrived and only the hairstylist showed up no make up artist. She attempted to do my make up but did an even worse job than the make up artist and she took forever. We were out of time, so my daughter had to redo my makeup. When I called to let the owner know she told me a service had been completed and it was not her problem.

The hair artist was nearly an hour late. She lied multiple times on the way about why she was late. Once she got to me she confessed that the company sent her to the wrong location. Even though I gave them the correct location, with address, THREE TIMES. Since she was late, she rushed though my and my sisters hair. All of my bridesmaids had to forego the “touch up” hour I had booked because we were all running behind. My sister and I have EXTREMELY thick hair that is difficult to manage in humidity. Although I expressed this to Lara multiple times, she ASSURED me that there would be no problems. She wanted my hair clean and dry but I thought I should apply some anti frizz when it was wet. She said not to. The stylist would use any products that were necessary to control the frizz and combat the humidity. On the day of my wedding, I told the stylist I needed more than just hairspray. She insisted that the hairspray she was using would keep my frizz in check and hold against humidity. I told her I didn’t think it would so she applied more. Within 15 minutes of being outside, my hair started falling and the curls started dropping out of my hair. It was immediately frizzy. One of my bridesmaids had to fix my hair but because Lara and Mikayla had told me NOT to use any products, it was difficult to salvage. My sister had to re-flat iron her hair as well. Because Mikayla rushed though and didn’t listen to us about our own hair, both of us were left with hair that was undone and fell within minutes of her leaving. When I contacted Lara after my wedding she refunded me only the touch up time that we didn’t get and listed the hair artists credentials as if that counteracted my experience with them. She has yet to respond to my additional emails. Very unprofessional handling of a legitimate complaint and unhappy customer. I’d never recommend this company or Mikayla to anyone.

I really liked the stylists, I had a problem with my allergies to some of the products but they were super responsive to email and I am happy with the way that everything turned out.

Our hairstylist showed up 40 minutes early. Thankfully, we had just gotten home from our nail appointments. Company requested selfies and pictures of how we wanted our hair and makeup to look. The hairstylist had just one of three pictures that I sent for how the girls wanted their hair done and how I wanted my hair done. Our makeup artist only had one color of makeup to airbrush on. My bridesmaids and I do not have the same skin color. She did not have any pictures that I sent of the looks we wanted either. Over all, final looks turned out well.

Jenny was absolutely extraordinary! My day would not have been what it was with out her. In fact North Captiva Island resort wants to make her and 5th Ave their recommended hair and make up for all the weddings they do!
