Josh was professional, communicative, and outlined his abilities and strengths as a DJ very clearly. He worked very well with our wedding planner and understood exactly what we were going for with the feel of the wedding. Despite the fact we are not a super dancy crew, he kept the floor going! His professionalism showed when, despite miscommunications and traffic, he still arrived and assembled his equipment in a skillful and timely fashion. We talked afterwards and it was a clerical error in the two platforms that are used - honeybook and vibo. We had changed the times along the way and one platform had inaccurate information and, because he was planning on arriving so early anyways, neither of us realized the miscommunication that the start time was at 3, not 4 until he was "on time" after the awful traffic that day. Like I said, everything still worked out according to the schedule due to his professionalism. In addition, he also went out of his way to tell me that he will improve his future system by verbally confirming and cross checking platform time information with the customer the week of. Additionally, he is very flexible, assisting us with fluid time tables for dancing and other activities toward the end of the night, and was receptive to requests made by us and others. Josh has very good pricing, especially considering he brings his own uplighting, dance floor, and other technology. No nonsense and very straightforward. Thank you for a wonderful evening!! Things didn't go according to plan, and your ability to adapt to that speaks for itself.

Josh was a pleasure to work with and exceeded our expectations with the music & organization throughout the process. I think every single guest was on the dance floor, we had a blast! We highly recommend Josh/860 Events to DJ your wedding!!

I don’t like to leave bad reviews because as a small business manager I know what they mean. So I’ll say this, ultimately the night was fun, everyone had a good time, and the sound for the ceremony/songs we selected for specific portions was decent (it did cut out outside a few times but not during the ceremony so that’s the most important part). But here’s the thing. We reached out and specifically asked how to change the order of songs on the Vibo app- clearly because we wanted the songs played in that order. And that didn’t happen. We also said no to the question about line dances but cotton eye Joe was played. For the record, we specifically chose 860 Events because of the ability to plan out playlists on the app. We spent hours timing and laying out songs in a specific order, some at the request of our guests, and we made a note to “please play these songs in order as much as possible.” It was immediately out of order. I know that as a professional DJ maybe he knows better than we do about what gets a party going but it’s not like we were trying to open the dance floor with a Gregorian chant. There were about 6 songs we did not pick that were played. There were also about 6 songs on our playlist that were not played. And after our bridesmaid asked that he stick to the playlist he mostly did- But then my brother went to make a request and he was told we were “Draconian.” Like dude this can’t be the first time you weren’t taking requests, you just say “I’m sorry the bride and groom asked that I stick to their playlist.” On the flip side he stuck so hard to our “dinner” playlist that some songs were played twice for time (and even then there were still a couple songs he didn’t play on our dinner list which would have filled time). Overall it would have been fine and I would have either not reviewed at all to not throw off the rating or given a good review IF he hadn’t referred to us as “draconian.” Wildly unprofessional and really not unreasonable for the people paying you thousands of dollars to want to hear the music they asked for.

This was the best experience I have ever had with DJ. They were so professional and so fun to work with! They were willing to go with all of our ideas and they were a huge piece of why our wedding was the best night ever. During the event they made sure to keep my timeline and helped us keep the event on schedule. I seriously cannot recommend them enough. DJ JOLT is awesome!!!
