Village are always a delight to team with as was their director (Events by Vivian). The couple did a terrific job of filling out our planning materials so that we had a really goo picture of what their vision of a terrific wedding day looked like and hopefully we were able to create that for them. Marcus, April and I really loved what they did for their guests and wish them every happiness in their future lives together. :)

s expectations. We want every couple to have the wedding day of their dreams and always make every effort to achieve that. Having said that, I'm not totally sure where to start. First, I've checked and every single song she requested for a specific dance or activity was played and we even custom edited a couple to make certain that the parts of the songs she wanted played first. Our performer wasn't just pulling these out of thin air. A week prior to the event we located and prepared every song and burned it to make sure our performer had them at his finger tips, and she even has them on the complimentary CD we gave to her as a gift. There was no static from the speakers, although she might have heard a bit of wind noise. When an officiant stands too far away from the mic and it's sensitivity is turned up, that can happen and is hard to avoid at an outdoor event. As for the "vibe" at the reception, most of the songs that we played were either from her request list or requests made by the guests. Of course, if she was looking for a wild party atmosphere, an outdoor event on a Sunday isn't necessarily the most conducive to that. The cocktail hour was certainly not skipped over. The DJ played the music styles that she had requested for that and only sent people to the taco food truck she had arranged for when the person acting as her director (a friend, not a professional) told the performer to make that announcement. I guess what baffles me the most is that our performer spoke to her during the event to ask if everything was going OK and she said yes. I personally stopped by not long after the dance floor had opened to check on things and asked her if he was taking good care of her or if we needed to change anything, and she said everything was fine. With a simple word at that point we could have changed up anything that she was dissatisfied with and would have. At the end of the event both her father and the groom approached our performer, thanked him and told him that they loved the music and that he had done a fantastic job. I guess the contradictions just confuse me a bit. But Chassity was great to work with during the planning of the event and we would be happy to discuss this further if she would like to give us some details that we can check on. We wish both of them every happiness in their future lives together and hope that they are still able to look back on the day as the beginning of a lifetime of love and happiness.

awesome couple to work with and Craig said that their guests were so much fun. When I stopped by, I had to wait through about two songs for Megan to come off of the dance floor so that I could say hi. Of course, success doesn't happen in a vacuum. We definitely want the thank the folks at Childress Vineyards for all of their help. Such a terrific venue. We wish Megan & Will the very best in the future lives together. 🙂

We hate to pester couples when they have so many other things on their plates, but the email we send out with the planning materials tells them that we will be reaching out to them one to two weeks prior to the event to make sure there are no changes and that if they need assistance before then to feel free to call us at any time. We outline the entire process so that couples know exactly what to expect and when they will hear from us, but always let them know to reach out if they need help before any scheduled calls. We received their planning materials almost a month prior and all of the basic information we needed was already provided in those. When we hadn't heard anything from them before the time for our scheduled contact to check for any changes, we assumed all was well. The week before the event there were a couple of minor details we had to ask them about, but those were only because there we some gaps of information in the time line provided by their professional wedding planner about where certain activities were taking place. Below are a part of the instructions that go out with the email when the couple first books us. We sincerely hope that none of this in any way detracted from their enjoyment of their big day and we wish them both a lifetime of love and happiness in their future lives together. Before we jump into the planning process I’d like to put some important dates on your calendar. This will help us stay on track to and complete everything in plenty of time so that we can properly prepare for your event.  Today: Reply to this email just so that we know if got to you and you’re all set to begin the process.  Eight weeks prior to your event: If you’ve been working on it all along, open up your planner to see what things are still pending decisions so that you can begin wrapping it up.  Four weeks prior to your event: Email your planning materials to us even if there might be a few things left incomplete so that we can begin our preparations.  About 2 weeks prior to your event: Find an evening that is convenient for us to call you to go over your planning materials and tie up any loose ends.

s special and there is always a little extra pressure to not only make it a perfect day for the couple, but also to help the guests have a fun and memorable occasion to ring in the new year. Their guests were so much fun and so easy to work with that they made it truly easy for me. And of course, a successful event is always a team effort. So I have to thank Andrew at T. Austin Finch House for always making us feel welcome and Lacy Gabrielle Photography who captured all those special memories for them. They were a beautiful couple and we wish them every happiness in their future lives together.

y had a phone conversation about the items mentioned. A couple of mistakes were made, but there were also some things that were beyond our control. 1) For their recessional our office staff did forgot to mention to our performer that we had a specially edited version of the song to be used, so he played the original; totally our mistake. 2) As far as the sound in the venue, they selected a venue with concrete flooring and a metal roof. Aside from a bit of echo which can't be prevented with those acoustics, there was a deluge of rain and with it pounding on the metal roof the noise was deafening and nerve racking for the guests I’m sure, and she was correct that although we had the volume up as much as possible, the guests we likely unable to tell where the song started. However, that was beyond our control and we tried to overcome it as best we could. 3) He did announce last call. However, the written time line from the director indicated that the bar was closing at 8:00 PM. He was never informed that they had extended the bar until 10:00, but it simply that meant some people rushed to get drinks before they needed to. 4) I'm sure it was difficult to tell with the rain noise, but the only version of Mr. Brightside he had was the original radio edit, so I'm not sure what they thought they heard there. 5) Our DJ did say that he played 3 line dances back to back, which is normally against our policy, but he said that he was responding to insistent requests from guests. 6) As far as his general "mix of music,” both he and Grace said that the dance floor was packed most of the night. That is the best sign a DJ has that their mix is working. Prior to the event we did tell Grace, as we do all of our couples, that during the evening if they wanted things changed up, not to hesitate to let our staff know. Not getting any feedback from them and the fact that the guests were packing the dance floor, he naturally assumed he was on cue. 7) The performer does use digital format for most of his music. He does, however, have several books of CDs for older less popular songs to make sure he can accommodate even the most obscure requests without having to rely on WiFi. They also serve as backup in case of a computer freeze. 8) The printer at our photo booth did malfunction and the back-up they had with them wouldn't work either, but the photo booth remained operational and although a little late, they did receive all of their photos, digital files and their memory book as well, so nothing will be left out. While some of these factors mitigate the cause for any issues, it in no way erases the fact that the evening was not perfect for Grace and Brandon, and that is always our goal. I told her when we spoke that I sincerely apologized for anything we might have done to contribute to that. She did say that they had a fantastic time and that these hiccups didn’t diminish their overall enjoyment of the evening and I found that to be a huge relief. We always strive to make certain that for every couple, their wedding day is the best day of their lives and we wish Grace and Brandon every happiness in their future lives together.

as actually there to run our photo booth, the couple did not have a professional director and with over 25 years as a wedding consultant herself, she couldn't just stand by when she saw some things that needed attention. Our goal is always to do whatever we can to make a couple's celebration a huge success whether is directly related to our function that night or not. I hope Brie and Jacob will keep in touch and wish them the very best in the years ahead. ::

e planning and with her background as a ballet dancer we had little doubt that the two of them would be on the dance floor, and they were. That, of course, made it even easier to have the guests join in the celebration. They had told us that they wanted their event to be FUN, and it definitely was. And Emily, Sanja and the whole staff at Starmount Forest Country Club always make our visit there a real pleasure. :)

ir celebration instead of just the entertainment. We are so grateful for their nice comments, but of course, a great event takes a great team and they had a terrific one. Becki and the folks at Adaumont Farm are always terrific to work with and we relied a lot on Alison from The Perfect Bride's Maid Events. It was great working with her again. Above and Beyond Catering provided terrific service as always and we can't wait to see all the photos from Sarah Sekaly and the video from Point 200. When you to a great team of professionals together, everyone's job gets so much easier. Of course, Meredith and Dakota made everyone feel so welcome. All of us here at A & A wish them every happiness in the years ahead and look forward to celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with them. :)

erceptions in the midst of a hectic event can be deceiving. I assured her that only the piece of music that was played for their entrance was the one that they requested. However. minutes before that, while they were out of the room, another short clip like a fanfare was played to get the attention of the guests as the MC welcomed them to make certain that they were focused and paying attention when we announced the couple into the room just a moment later. We also addressed her song requests submitted in advance. I assured her that if we had instructions to play any of them at specific times we certainly could have, but without instructions our DJs are trying to mix them in where we can get the best results from them and to maintain the energy on the dance floor. The readout from our computer showed that almost all of them were played within the first hour of the dance floor being open. I was so glad that I had the opportunity to talk to her personally to explain and apologize for any misunderstandings and mostly to make certain that none of this detracted from their enjoyment of their day. There are so many things going on in the background at events and the couple's attention is being pulled in a thousand different directions and we just wanted to make certain they knew that we were doing our very best to accommodate all of their wishes. Michael said that they were a great group to work with and so much fun. All of us here at A & A wish them the very best in the years ahead and a lifetime of love and happiness. ;)

They were both concerned when were first met that the DJ would also be their master of ceremonies and be able to manage the flow of events, which is something all of our certified MCs have been trained to do, so we felt we were a good fit for their needs. The most important thing to them, they told me, was to remember having a great time celebrating with their guests. I hope we were able to help them achieve that and that their future lives are filled with memories as joyful as the ones they created that day. Best wishes always. :)

they saw Jordan at a friends wedding and loved his style, but when he ended up having to self quarantine our of caution the week before their wedding we told them they would still be in good hands with his brother in law, Marcus. Having clear announcements and keeping the guests involved was important to them and I hope we accomplished that for them. They were a real joy to work with during the planning stages, but as I often say, events like this need a team effort. The Old Home Place Vineyard staff was great to work with as was On Time Catering. And I can't wait to see all of the photos taken by Allison Hammond Creative and the video from Inspire Aerial Photography & Video. relieved that their venue was able to work with them so they didn't have to change their date. I remember when I first met with them and they were very specific about not wanting night club type bass thumping at their event and that their main goal was wanting :"guests to walk away and say, 'Wow, that was a lot of fun and I enjoyed going to her wedding." From the feedback Marcus got from their guests, I believe and hope that we helped to make that happen for them. They were a joy to work with and we wish them all the best in their future lives together. :)

re such a joy to work with and really seemed to enjoy the planning of their day as well as the day itself. We totally enjoyed working with them and Jordan (their DJ / MC for the day) said that they and their guests treated him like family and made it a treat to be there. As always, great events do not happen in a vacuum. We have to thank Susan and Chandler at Graylyn Estates along with their staff for always being so accommodating to make sure we can do our best for our couples there. Jordan said he is sure we will want to see some of the terrific photos by Erin Creed and he also mentioned that the cake from Dewey's Bakery was as delicious as always. Great professionals working together as a team make for great celebrations for our couples. Wishing Katie and Chris all the happiness in their future lives together. ;)

le in the same family or for friends because we get to see those familiar faces in the audience. I love tracing these like a family tree. On October 13th of 2018 we traveled to Boone to do the wedding for Marie & Mark Janke at Chetola Resort who had found us at a wedding show. Marcus had did their wedding so when friends of theirs (Chelsea & Nick Smith) got married at the Barn at Reynolda Village on February 23rd of this year they requested Marcus since they'd seen him there. So when Hannah & Jacob Shaw had their wedding at The Barn at Zensield in Kernersville on Octover 19th, they wanted to change things up so we sent Michael. Jacob of course is Claire's brother. Claire called me and said that she loved Michael, but since her wedding was so close to her brother's, she wanted a different DJ, so we sent Marcus. It is such a luxury to have so the level of talent among our staff that no matter who we send, every couple can get the wedding or their dreams. All of us here at A & A wish Claire and Bennett a lifetime of love and happiness and we can't wait to do the next wedding in this chain. ;)

ly perfect in every way, being human does have some disadvantages. :) I am so glad that the few errors that happened did not take away from Matt & Pamela's overall enjoyment of their day and that they saw their overall experience working with us as a positive one. As our way of apology we will be sending a gift card to them to try to make up for a couple of oversights, but since I've been unable to reach them by phone I wanted to take a moment to explain what our research into things come up with. I first wanted to apologize for what seems to be a basic misunderstanding. When we originally met with them we discussed what was included with various packages and they booked (and paid extra for) a package that includes a higher degree of personalization. We explained then that the planner we would send them had questions about the two of them and their relationship and that we would use that information during announcements such as the introductions and others to make their event more about the two of them. They completed all of that information and provided it to us, so we assumed that they understood that we would be utilizing it. This tells us that we need to do something to make that even more clear to couples in the future to avoid any confusion, so I appreciate him letting us know. As for the ceremony music, from out computer records it didn't seem to be the bride's entrance music, but the processional where there was a mistake. They had requested two versions of the same song by the Talking Heads. An instrumental for the processional, and the original for later in the reception. Our performer evidently cued up the wrong one at the ceremony and when he noticed it was afraid that cutting it off abruptly would be more of a distraction. He wanted me to convey his apologies. Two of the three traditional dances we supposed to be cut short and were played in their entirety. Our performer said that in both instances, and particularly with the mother / son dance, the people seems so engrossed in conversation during the dance that he felt awkward ending it early and watched for some look or sign from them and when it did not come he made a judgement call that was obviously not the correct one. Once again, we simply want to make certain that Matt & Pamela know that we deeply apologize that in spite of our every effort some things were not exactly they way they would have preferred them. They were a fantastic couple to work with and we want them to know that all of us here wish them the very best in their future lives together. Larry Owner

ust 3 weeks before the wedding and had pressure on him since he was just about to leave to get Anja and bring her to the US from Germany, so everything had to be planned and organized in just those last couple of months. They had their event at Burke Manor Inn over in Gibsonville which is always a beautiful setting for any event. and Lori takes such good care of all of their couples. Marcus said that their family and friends were terrific to work with and treated him so graciously. we wish them a life time of love and happiness and hope to see them again in the future. Think anniversary parties. :)

seemed overjoyed with the excitement of the day . Summer of Coordinated Events kept everything running smoothly throughout the event. They are such a special couple and we wish them every happiness in their future lives together.

and dancing we assumed it would be a fun group to work with. According to Jordan that definitely turned out to be the case. Jordan said that their friends and family were a great audience and they put together a terrific team. We always love working with Grace at the Chapel Hill Carriage House. Jordan said that the food from Beau Catering as fantastic and we are anxious to see the photos from Beth Ely Photography. It was such a pleasure working with such a fun couple and I hope they know that we wish them every happiness as they begin this next chapter in their love story. :)

me friends of theirs (Marie & Mark Janke) last October and then Hannah's sister's (Chelsea & Nick Smith) in February, so it was like a family reunion for us. Since Marcus had done both of those we sent Michael to take care of Hannah & Jacob to change things up a bit. Of course, in December we will be doing the one for Jacob's sister, so maybe Marcus again? LOL. We love doing events where we have so many previous couples there. I stopped by to visit Hannah and Jacob at The Barn at Zanfield since I hadn't seen the venue before myself. It was really laid out well and had a nice rustic feel. Prissy Polly's BBQ provided the food and Chelsea Clayton of Toujours took care of the photography. Michael said everyone worked really well together to make it a great day for the happy couple. We can't wait to see them dancing at future weddings for their friends and family members and wish them the very very best in their future lives together.

lly into music and dancing automatically tells us that the DJs job will be much easier. I loved the way they got the family involved in the father / daughter dance. From our first meeting it seemed obvious to me that they wanted to make their celebration very personal, full of personal moments that they wanted to share with their guests, so I mentioned our Love Story Presentation to them and it was a huge success based on the video I have of the expressions on their faces as well as their guests. It really brought out the emotions of the day. Of course, events like this are always a team effort. The staff at Noah's Event Center did a fantastic job as always and went above and beyond to help us make use of unique features that their venue offers. Elizabeth from Elizabeth's Events help keep things running smoothly and Andy and the staff from Thyme 2 Cater made sure the guests really enjoyed their meal. I can't wait to see the photos captured by Justin of Nixon's Photography of the whole event since they always do amazing work and I'm hoping to see some of the video from Sugar Shack Films, especially of the Love Story segment. The only bad part was that now that this couple is married, we won't be hearing from them as much now and we really enjoyed getting to know them. Ashley & Eric, please keep in touch and know that April, Michael and I wish you guys the very best in your future lives together. ;)

Nathan's wedding and we were under the impression that everything had been great for them. I know people's perceptions can vary, but I can only speak to what I know. We log every phone call and email we receive and note our response to it because it matters to us. I personally received 29 emails from Caroline during the time leading up to her wedding. All but one were answered promptly. That one was received on Friday, May 3rd late in the afternoon and because we had several weddings that weekend my response didn't go out until the next Monday afternoon, for which I apologized, and her response email was that it was fine and she understood. Our phone log shows no phone messages received from her that were not returned in less than 24 hours, as is our policy. Michael and Caleb were her performers, but I stopped by the event near it's end to check on things and Caroline told me everything had been fantastic. With the training they receive I find it hard to accept that any of our staff would intentionally be rude in any way to a guest, but I would love for Caroline to have the wedding party member contact me. If their behavior was out of line in the slightest way we would want to issue a partial refund to make it right and issue an apology. I also called her wedding director and she assured me that she was not informed of any issues the night of the event and was under the impression that both Caroline and the guests were thrilled with the entertainment the received. I can not help but believe after all this time she is confusing us with one of her other vendors. In the meantime, we will investigate to assure that our staff's conduct was beyond reproach and make corrections if necessary. As anyone can see from other reviews we pride ourselves on our reputation and are vigilant to live up to the promises we make our couples. If we find evidence that we failed in any way to do that. we want to fix the issue immediately. In the meantime, I can only apologize to Caroline that she was left with this perception, for whatever reason, and assure her that we wish she and Nathan a lifetime of love and happiness.

t their event I was so happy that I was able to stop by there that evening to see them. She looked absolutely stunning in her wedding dress and it was obvious that both she and Lee were having the time of their lives. Noah's Event Center is a terrific venue since it was specifically designed and built to accommodate events like weddings and receptions and their staff is always great to work with. As a wedding professional, it is always great to work with people you know and every professional there was someone we'd worked with many times over the years. The venue, obviously, but also J. Darren Photography, and Christi with Above and Beyond Catering (I was told the food was amazing). Marcus said that Lindsay with Timeless Events helped to keep everything running smoothly. From our first meeting with them back in January we just knew that this couple was going to be fun to work with. Especially when Alicia answered the question "Do you dance?" with an exclamation mark. After our first meeting I was pretty sure that Marcus's personality would be a great fit for them, and it looks like I was right. All of us here at A & A hope that they will keep in touch and we wish them every happiness in their future lives together. :)

cally, if you look at reviews, everyone who has Marcus says to request Marcus, yet everyone who has Michael, Jordan, Caleb or any of our other staff always says to ask for them. That's because they are all outstanding and everyone of them are hired and trained by us and we supply their music and equipment so that every performance is top notch. We wish Kamy and Greg all the happiness in the world in their future lives together.

st year right up to the reception at The Liberty in Elkin on May 10th. She never seemed to let the stress interfere with the joy of the day. Michael said that her friends and family treated him especially well and April and Summer said her guests really enjoyed our "Ultimate Photo Booth Experience."
