My overall experience can be summed up in two words, absolutely fantastic. I love these two! So where do I start?
I found Somer and Lisa off Instagram and loved their work. It was detailed, thoughtful and you could just tell they put the bride ...(and groom ;) ) first. I wanted my wedding to be elegant and classy but with details that set it apart from other weddings.
I’m a type A person that makes the to-do list, loves organization and likes to control things. I was planning our wedding in the midst of a hectic football season. Though I’m that person that likes control, I knew I needed to find planners, because it just wasn’t logistically possible for me to plan on my own since I was out of town.
Lisa and Somer instantly calmed any fears or concerns that I had. Both are approachable, honest and very organized. I wanted planners to spearhead my “vision” and do their thing so to speak. They did that and more. We scheduled weekly phone calls, direct emails back and forth and texts. I know they had other several weddings before us, but we never felt like we weren’t a priority. They were ALWAYS there for us. During the planning process, life got extremely hectic with some career changes and moves, Lisa and Somer didn’t skip a beat. They constantly kept me in the loop. My(now) husband and I view these two ladies as close friends and family. I understand that our situation is unique and may differ from others, but rest assure that they are there to help you plan your wedding even when life gets crazy.
As a bride, you want to see options. You want to be reassured that you are making the right decision. Lisa and Somer provided me with several options for vendors and pricing throughout the entire process. I loved the mood boards they created for every aspect of the wedding. You also want to make sure that your hard-earned money is being spent the right way (Amen!). Lisa and Somer were on top of all it. I cannot stress enough how helpful their organization and transparency were. Also, not every vendor is right for every wedding. These ladies sought out the florist, photographer, band, production company, linens etc. that fit best with the style & budget of my wedding. A Charming Fete is extremely well-connected with several vendors nationally and in Ohio. I incorporated both at my wedding because of them.
I entered my wedding day, so relaxed. Why? Because the planning was done. By done, I mean we walked through the entire day serval times, talked about what was expected and what I didn’t want etc. My wedding day was long (Catholic Mass) and very hot, throughout the entire day, the entire A Charming Fete team was there hands-on to help in any way possible. The execution and communication were seamless. Our wedding day was unique because we had an after-party, which added more to everyone’s plate from planning to execution. Once again, they showed how talented they were and the after-party was everything and more!
I whole heartily believe that A Charming Fete is THE best wedding planner in Ohio and among the top in the country. These two amazing women get to know you and your family, they find out what’s important and help in any way they can. They value you and your spouse, they value your trust. They are there to make YOUR day, truly yours.
