Helen was professional, helpful, and knowledgeable. I got my perfect dress at A Day to Remember
Outstanding service and quality.
Took my granddaughter today to buy a prom dress. I can’t say enough about the wonderful staff . They were so helpful and made my granddaughter trying on different styles dresses so stress free. Best prom dress shopping experience!
A Day to Remember (it sure was)
I had an absolutely horrible experience at this shop. The “stylist” kept saying things like “well OBVIOUSLY if you were to get this dress we’d need to size up QUITE a bit”. I told her I don’t mind what size I buy, as long as the dress fits, I don’t have a specific size I’m trying to be for the wedding. “Well I don’t want you to get your hopes up for a certain size” again, politely, I don’t care what size it is I just want to see what style I want and we’ll measure later for the size to order. She brought up me being too big for the dresses SHE was bringing me several times (again, she brought them to me…). Not once did I say that I was unhappy with my body, my size, or how I looked. She continually brought it up. “This dress is way too small for you” I didn’t pick the dress or the size to try… For reference, I’m a street size 8/10 so it wasn’t like I needed a “plus size” shop (even if I did…that would be totally fine with me). She kept bringing dresses that had a lot of lace on them even though I specifically said no to lace (after trying on 3 of them on and telling her I don’t like the lace). If this was my only experience trying gowns on I would have left crying and defeated. I would not recommend A Day to Remember. There is no reason to fat shame a future bride. Luckily, I had an appointment at Modern Bride right after and that was an absolutely amazing experience and the stylist was wonderful. She never once brought up sizing or made me feel less than beautiful. I would never recommend this place to anyone looking for a dress.
Tricia is an amazing and patient stylist! I have difficulty seeing myself in a wedding gown but Tricia was more than patient with me and knew which styles to choose that would best enhance my figure. I appreciated her feedback and the feedback from Helen, the salon owner, as well. The selection at this boutique is exceptional. You won't be disappointed with A Day To Remember!
I went into a day to remember to just “look” and try on dresses to figure out what I liked one Saturday with my mom. I had already scheduled two appointments elsewhere to attend with my MOH, MOB, MOG, and Husband grandmother. I was immediately met with nothing but kindness from the consultant. (I forgot her name 😕) she really listened to what I was looking for but also helpful and gave great advice on try on something completely out of my comfort zone to truly rule it out. Well.. the first dress I tried on was the one. I knew that from the moment I put it on. The consultant encouraged me to keep trying different ones on to make sure this truly was the one. So i did. They were are incredibly beautiful but she did such a great job picking out exactly what I described to her the first one was it. I still remember looking at my mom with tears in my eyes say “mom this is my dress. I don’t want to go anywhere else”. Thank you so much to a day to remember for providing me with the most beautiful wedding dress 🤍
Day to Remember was AMAZING. I had never tried on dresses before and was unsure what I wanted. They were kind, patient, and flattering. They pulled the most gorgeous dress and veil combo I bought that day. What a wonderful experience
After going to a few other bridal salons in NH we went to A day to remember and they were amazing!!! They listened to what I wanted and I did not feel pressured into one type of dress like I did at the other salons. Elizabeth was so kind and helpful even undressing just about every mannequin in the place to help me! I would recommend them 10/10 times. They even let me pick the music in the salon! :)
Shopping for a mother of the bride dress. Elizabeth was very helpful, patient, professional and enthusiastic.
I had a great experience at A Day To Remember Bridal Boutique. I was shopping for a Mother of the Groom dress and Elizabeth and her assistant were very attentive, friendly and very helpful in picking out the dresses for me to try on based on what I was looking for. Much to my surprise within 20 minutes I had found my dress! I will definitely be going back to look for a Mother of the Bride dress when that day arrives!! Thank you very much :)
We went to Modern Bride in Bedford first, and then a Day to Remember. I had a significantly better experience working with Brandi at A day to Remember. I really felt that she understood how to pick options for my body type, and translated my likes and dislikes into finding the perfect dress for me. I ended up purchasing my wedding dress the same day.
I met the owner at a bridal show. I was admiring a dress on a mannequin when she approached me asking for details of my day. When I told her my date (10 months away) she gave a negative and disapproving "ooh". When I questioned her gasping response she said, "well to have a stress-free wedding in a post COVID world I recommend ordering your dress 12-18 months in advance". While surprised by that, she followed up with "You know all those cargo ships that are trapped? Guess what's on them. Wedding Dresses". On first impression she was very intense so I tried to excuse myself with "ok thanks for your time I'll consider a secondhand or off the rack store then". Only then did she rope me back in with "Well if you ordered a dress today, I could get one for you in 6 months". No thanks. I don't need scare tactics to drive me into a store. I went with a much more supportive bridal salon.
I recently purchased my wedding dress From A Day to Remember and had such a great experience! Thanks to Brandi (Orent) I was able to find the perfect dress for me, which was not easy. I made multiple appointments with Brandi and she was incredibly patient and beyond helpful. Brandi genuinely listened to my thoughts, concerns, and desires. If it were not for Brandi, I am not positive I would have left with a dress. Thank you Brandi and all the other ladies at A Day to Remember. I will be recommending your boutique to all brides in the future!
Friendly and helpful staff, great selection
Elizabeth helped me find the perfect dress!
Had an absolutely wonderful experience at A Day to Remember. Elizabeth helped me out initially then Helen came in to help too a bit later. Ultimately they allowed me to take a new sample dress home that day to avoid any issues in processing and logistics (which have been sketchy with covid etc.) I had gone in solo with my mom in another state on videochat- a potentially awkward situation 😳, but Elizabeth was so kind tge qhole experience was very fun and comfortable, and I found the perfect dress! Thanks A Day to Remember, you rock!
I felt very uncomfortable coming here - a remark was made that "thats not going to fit you." After that we left. I felt they just wanted to sell me a dress not help me find my perfect dress.
My mom and I had the best experience here! Though I didn't find my dress here, I really wish I had because I had the best connection and felt so great coming out of my appointment here. I have been to 8 bridal appointments, most of which left me feeling worse than I went in and Helen was able to work with my mother and I and really give us a wonderful and refreshing experience. Even if you have to travel from further away like I did its worth it!
Best bridal experience EVER. Before walking into Helen's store, I went to BHLDN in Chestnut Hill. That experience made me so self conscious that I ended up purchasing a two piece that hid my whole body. Yesterday, I walked out of A Day to Remember with the dress of my dreams feeling absolutely beautiful. From the moment I began the appointment, the personalized touch and true dedication to finding my dress was there. They have an amazing selection of dresses. Helen walked me through their entire collection and pulled a few of her recommendations. Her recommendations were my favorite dresses. In fact, a dress I thought I never would try on was the dress I said "YES!" to. My appointment was scheduled for two hours and Helen stayed late with me to pick out accessory pieces and go over final details. If you are looking for kind, exceptional, personalized service you have to check them out!
We got our tuxes from here. Helen and the staff was really patient with our groomsmen--all who live and/or workout of town. Aside from one pair of short pants, everything fit great and they all looked awesome!
The line of dresses carried are very pretty. Overpriced because the quality of the lace I purchased did not justify the price. Alterations were not available for the dress I chose at the shop.
The sales'girl' tried to push an on the rack dress. Disappointed that she wasn't completely on board with the custom dress I wanted.
I was hoping for someone eager to satisfy my wants as a patron. Didn't quite get there.
Not sure I'll be bringing my daughter by for her bridal gown. We'll see.
I was hesitant to write this review because I'm an optimist and don't like posting negative things on social media. However, I had such a heartbreaking experience and hope to save other brides from similar situations. Before visiting A Day To Remember, I heard a few warnings from other customers about unpleasant experiences but brushed them off because I wasn't having luck finding a dress at other boutiques in the area. I made my appointment and found a dress I liked a lot; it was now at the top of my list. After time, I realized the dress from this store was the one. I brought my mother back to ADTR and we decided to purchase the dress. It came time to take my measures and after chatting with the sales associate, she suggested that it would be cheaper for the designer to do my custom dress length for $250 vs a seamstress doing it for potentially $400- so I decided to add that to my contract. Size wise, I was told I measured between a 6 and 8. That seemed very typically because that's where I feel in all my other clothes. I decided to go with a 6 because that was closer to my street size and thought I could save on alternations (and like most brides, started eating and exercising to be in my ideal shape for the wedding). I had this discussion in front of the sales associate and received NO suggestions to go a size up. I signed off on the document and made my 60% deposit. Months go by and I get the call that my dress is in. I go in to try it on and it's 4 INCHES TOO SHORT- without heels on and it was too tight. Trying to make a long story short, the store owner ended up ordering me a new dress but did not refund me the $250 for the custom length dress. The back and forth between the boutique owner was miserable- the worst customer service experience I've EVER had. They made me feel as though I did something wrong and they were correcting my mistake. I had never ordered a wedding dress before and received no suggestions on what sizing I should go with. ADTR did pay for expedited cost for the new dress and waived the petty $80 balance I had left. PLEASE save yourself the potential tears and avoid this salon. I do feel fortunate because this was the only, major hick up while planning my wedding.
I had a wonderful experience from start to finish! I showed up early for my appointment and was able to walk around and pick out any dresses that caught my eye. Andrea was fun, friendly and easy going and had a great sense of the style I was interested in. She picked out several dresses and I actually ended up choosing one of her suggestions. I would highly recommend A Day to Remember to anyone!
I went with my mother, aunt, and maid of honor during their sample sale and worked with the owner Helen! She was amazing. I walked in only knowing that I liked lace; she was able to take little comments I made about each dress I tried on and pulled dresses that fit my style and body beautifully! I am so grateful as I found MY dress! I would recommend going to A Day to Remember Bridal Boutique, they have a great selection and awesome supportive staff!
I have admired dresses in the window of A Day to Remember for years and finally had a reason to go inside --- my own wedding! Helen was absolutely perfect to work with. I truly can't speak highly enough of her. The shop is perfectly sized; it offers plenty of options without feeling overwhelming. And, I was able to change in and out of each dress in full privacy. I do not enjoy clothes shopping and was especially terrified to shop for a wedding dress since I am in my mid-fifties and can no longer wear all styles that appeal to me. Helen asked questions to get a sense of my taste and then pulled about six dresses. Four of them were very pretty and appropriate for my age and body type. One --- THE DRESS --- is perfect and I can't wait for it to arrive! The shop also has a nice selection of accessories to complete the look and Helen offered suggestions on those without any pressure at all to purchase them. Thank you, Helen, for making my most feared wedding task fun!!!
A Day to Remember was great! We worked with Helen, while her friend, Joyce, who was training helped. They were both the sweetest and most helpful people. I really wasn't excited for dress shopping. I don't like dresses, and I hate trying on clothes. I'm not girly and I dreaded this whole process. I booked an appointment begrudgingly, but was pleasantly surprised.
Helen asked what I liked and I was like a deer in headlights. Chiffon? Mermaid? A-line? What the heck did these things mean?! I did know what I didn't like...floof and sparkle. Helen worked with that and asked all the right questions. She found several dresses for me to try. She was an expert in finding what works for you-for example conscious of finding something that didn't emphasize that I'm only 5'0". She explained everything so well from seams to Petershams to the alteration process and cleared up any negative thoughts I had about dress shopping. Definitely give them a call and make an appointment, and don't be scared because Helen is amazing.
I was so happy with my experience with A Day to Remember! Everyone I worked with from the first visit to pickup was friendly and helpful.
This was the first and only bridal boutique I visited to find my wedding gown.
Helen was truly spectacular. She made my experience so comfortable. I did not feel rushed/pressured at all. Helen helped me pick out my perfect dress. It is obvious she truly loves what she does.
The boutique had a great selection of dresses and the prices were very reasonable.
I strongly recommend visiting here.
Thank you so much!!
I had a really nice experience at A Day to Remember. Just when I was at my frustration point of trying on dozens of dresses and not finding one I liked, I received a sponsored email from them through The Knot about their sample sale. It was so much nicer to be able to look at individual dresses myself and try on dresses in my own size. I appreciated that the sales team was hands-off and allowed me time by myself to try on the dresses, as opposed to some other shops where the team is with you the entire time and really pressures you. This was a MUCH better experience for me. Thank you!
I found the most amazing dress and everyone was wonderful. My dress was on sale as well and they let me do a 3 payment plan to buy the dress of my dreams!
As this was the first place I ventured to try on wedding dresses, I was feeling a little overwhelmed just looking through what dresses to try on first. But I was quickly and pleasantly greeted by Sarina, she helped me narrow down and sort out my likes and dislikes of a dress. She gave me great tips, insight, and was very patient. I must have tried on “the dress” at least 4 times! I just loved it so much! She let me make my own decision on every dress, there was absolutely no pressure. She gave me my own space when I needed it but was always there to help me with fitting into the dress or addressing any of my questions. I found the process pretty easy- and was pleasantly surprised I found the dress on my first day of shopping.
My sister, mother, and I went in just to look shortly after I got engaged, no appointment, just on a whim. We were told that if I saw anything I was dying to try on that they could get a room set up for us. I tried on 2 and the second one was the winner! My consultant was super helpful and made dress shopping a great experience for me!
Loved my experience! Amanda was awesome, she made me feel super comfortable and made the entire process super fun and helped me
Say yes to my dress!
Best bridal experience at ADay to Remember! I went to 2 bridal shops before going there and didn’t like any of the MANY dresses I tried on. At A Day to Remember, Helen helped guide me through their large selection and I ended up loving the first three dresses I tried on! Most of my bridesmaids ordered their dresses there and received a discount. Everyone on Helen’s team was friendly, helpful, and responsive.
My niece and I had a wonderful experience here. There is quite a selection of beautiful dresses in the store to choose from, and the consultants were very helpful. My niece found her dress here and absolutely loved it. The dress arrived in time for the alterations, which were done perfectly. We found the prices to be reasonable and would recommend shopping in this store.
Andy was amazing to work with and she made my family and I feel very comfortable. I went in without a clear idea of what I wanted and had so much fun trying on what she brought. For each dress I had things I liked and did not like and she was able to help me find THE DRESS from there. Her fun bubbly personality made it the best experience.
I was able to find the dress of my dreams on my first visit! Sabrina was so helpful and made the entire experience enjoyable!
A Day to Remember Bridal Boutique was extremely helpful in picking out my bridesmaid dresses! The employees of the shop were wonderful and the ordering process was very simple. The dresses came in perfectly and we are so happy we chose to purchase here.
As the Mother of the Bride, I am forever grateful to Helen and her team for making our experience so pleasant. Helen and her ladies helped us find the perfect Mother of the Bride dress and the most amazing flower girl dress (our granddaughter felt like a princess for sure). AND, add to the list the perfect dress for my daughter with just TWO WEEKS to wedding day because her original dress didn't make it to us as promised by the other bridal shop. Helen, your boutique is amazing and we cannot thank you all enough for going above and beyond to help us dress for what would be the most beautiful wedding. We are truly grateful for your support and words of encouragement during a time that became very stressful. I may be a little bias but have to say my daughter was the most beautiful bride and her dress - - WOW, her dress... extraordinary, beautiful, JUST WOW! Thank you again for helping us dress so beautifully for our parts on wedding day.
I was very happy with my experience at A Day to Remember! I had a chance to pick gowns I wanted to try along with having gowns picked for me. I felt as though I got the special attention I wanted while doing the bridal experience! A Day to Remember was the only bridal bouquet I went to and the only one needed! I ended up buying the first gown I tried on! I would recommend them to anyone!!
Awful. Second time I went in there and second time we were ignored. Nobody greets you at the door, nobody approaches you offering if they can assist, terrible customer service. The first time we were in the store for 20-25 minutes and nobody approached us so we left. Next time we were there we waited 10 minutes until someone asked what they could do, we said flower girls and they first shook their head no. Then came back and said they are over here, took us to another roomed and said "this is usually a no free zone, apparently we are not abiding by that today" as she looked down at our shoes. Who says that to customers?! Also, she pointed to the rack of dresses never to return to see if we had questions or if she could do anything. We left without even a goodbye or how did it go. I would never ever ever recommended this place to anyone or ever spend a dime in such a terrible mannered establishment.
What a wonderful group of people!!! I felt SO welcomed to be at A Day to Remember Bridal Boutique. I was not rushed in any way and was greeted with many smiles and genuine demeanors. The staff was super helpful (I tried on many dresses!). I purchased my dress and veil here as well as the bridesmaid dresses. Both my husband's mother and my mother purchased their dresses for the wedding here too. There's a good variety of dresses to be found. The whole process went very smoothly too from fittings, alterations and wedding dress preservation. If you're looking for a fun time and a place that won't stress you out, you should check this place out!
I did not have a good experience at A Day to Remember. The staff member I worked with was very rude to my mother and maid of honor; when they asked questions they were ignored. The no picture policy was not explained to me over the phone when I book my appointment; I would not have booked if I knew that policy. In my opinion, how you view yourself in a dress in the mirror and in a picture can be completely different. I did find a dress that i absolutely loved but I was so disappointed with the service I did not return to buy the dress.
My mom, sister, and I made an appointment at A Day to Remember on a whim. We had assumed we would shop for my dress somewhere in NYC, where I lived. But since I was home in NH visiting family, and my fiancé and I would be getting married the following summer back in NH, we thought we’d just see what they had. I’m so glad we went! I ended up buying the first dress I tried on (though Jill and Kat took the time to let me try about 10 other dresses, just so I could be sure I’d found the one). Professional, yet warm and personable, I felt in good hands with the staff at the store. They were also very kind and patient with us as we took our time to figure out the groom’s and groomsmen’s outfits and kept calling back to ask questions (What time were we supposed to pick things up again? Do you guys have studs?) The store was organized and on time with everything, and very reassuring throughout the whole process. We also ended up loving the woman they recommended to have the dress altered, Susana’s Sewing Studio, around the corner. I would highly recommend A Day to Remember to anyone looking to get married!
No stress wedding shopping! You can see all the dresses and pick out your favorites, as many as you can try on. Super helpful and non pushy help. Never felt so relaxed while shopping. So in love with my dress. Wish I went here first and saved myself the anxiety and stress at the other salons.
The ladies at A Day to Remember Bridal Boutique in Concord, NH are wonderful. They make you feel very comfortable and will select various gowns for you to try on that you may have overlooked. It almost feels like you are getting dressed in your own living room with close friends. I highly recommend this boutique as an option for shopping for that special dress on that special day.
I went to A Day to Remember to buy my wedding dress for my October 2015 wedding. It was a wonderful experience and it made picking out my dress so easy! It was my first stop when buying my dress. I told Kat what I wanted and she were very helpful. She picked out a couple style of what I thought I wanted, then picked out a couple of what she thought would look good on my. I quickly realized that what I thought I wanted didn't look as good as I hoped, but I really liked aspects of the dresses she pick out for me. She worked with me to chose a dress that had aspects from both types of dresses: a fitted top, but still the fluff and flair of an A frame dress. I fell in love with the dress, and ended up coming back to buy that dress after a couple of months. The service was so personal and responsive. She really listened to what I wanted and helped me be honest with my opinions of the dress I was trying on. She helped me pick out the aspects of the dresses I liked and the parts I didn't like so she could find me the perfect dress! I highly recommend A Day to Remember!
The staff at A Day to Remember are amazing!! I personally had help from Kat who not only found my gown for me, but was extremely helpful, friendly, and accommodated any need of mine. Along with finding my dress, Kat also assisted in finding the dresses for my bridesmaids in which I mentioned only the style and color I was going for. Highly recommend this salon to anyone! The girls at A Day to Remember truly made my experience pleasurable and comfortable.
They have a large selection, including plus sizes. The staff is knowledgeable and personable. They really treat you like you are the most important person while you are there. If you are looking for a clean, friendly place that gives you that "Say Yes to the Dress" experience, A Day to Remember is it!
My experience with A Day to Remember Boutique was truly a day to remember! First of all, they came in on a Sunday, which was the only day my entire entourage could come. Austin let us pull as many dresses as we wanted and offered great suggestions as to what I might like. She made sure that I had at least one dress in every silhouette to try on and I am so glad she did! I ended up picking a dress I that I never thought would look good. I looked like a glamorous Old-Hollywood star and felt absolutely beautiful! When I saw my future sister-in-law starting to cry as Austin put the veil on, I knew it was the one! The price was perfect and I came in under budget. Austin made sure that I felt beautiful and was extremely accommodating the whole day. I highly recommend A Day to Remember for any bride looking for a great bridal experience. If you can, schedule it for a Sunday and you might have the whole salon to yourself!
A Day To Remember was my first and only stop. Kat did such a wonderful job helping me find my dream dress. She was patient and extremely helpful. They truly made the experience wonderful. No stress just great help and advise. I got both my dress and my veil and it really made my special day that much better.
Dresses and shopping are two of my least favorite things in the world; but A Day to Remember made my wedding day wonderful. I love my dress, and often wish I could wear it again! Thank you for making the process painless, wonderful and being so accommodating. I am so thankful for my experience with this store.
Helen was kind of rude to my mother-in-law. The first person that I had worked with (I can't remember her name) was great but unfortunately she was not there for my second appointment. The no pictures until paid in full rule is ridiculous (my mother really wanted to show a picture to my grandmother who was on the other side of the country). There was barely any room for the two to sit, I didn't really feel welcomed there, it almost felt rushed, and I was assured that the dress only needed the bones to be trimmed and that it would fit perfectly. It didn't fix it. It took longer than the expected time to get my dress. I would not recommend this place to a friend.
I visited A Day to Remember to get an idea of what I might be looking for in a wedding gown. I worked with Katt and I gave her an incredibly vague, half-minded description of the sort of gown I was looking for. She was incredible; I left the store that same day with the intent to come back and buy the dress she found for me. Her ability to find a dress that fit my personality, budget, and design requests was unmatched. She and other consultants were always available for calls with questions or concerns and they were totally on top of getting my items to me in a reasonable time frame. These are the kind of people who made my dress-buying experience a joy despite delivery setbacks and time crunches. I would absolutely recommend them to any bride or bridal party.
The staff was helpful. It was a busy day for them, but they were still polite to all of the customers. I bought a dress off rack but I also had to find a dress quick. I think sale prices could have been better, but the prices were still fair/expected. The only things I wasn't crazy about was the small selection and I prefer to look around for myself a bit, which isn't discouraged there, but I did feel "in the way" a bit.
I only had 4 months left until my wedding so I started to get really nervous when I couldn't find "the dress". The bridal attendant pulled all different types of dresses for me to try on. There was one in particular that I didn't even want to try on. I ended up putting it on just to rule it out, and I fell in love! It was the most beautiful, classic, elegant dress I had seen yet. This was the one! From start to finish everything went smooth! I can't thank them enough for all their help in making my big day amazing!
Helen from A Day to Remember is truly an amazing woman. Not only did she sell me the dress of my dreams (which happened to be one of her personal favorite dresses) but she also rescued me from a dress disaster. An alteration had not been fixed, and while she was steaming my dress, she noticed all the pins intact. With only days before the wedding, she did the alteration herself, and did a wonderful job! Thank you so much for all that you did for me! I recommend this bridal salon not only for the quality of the dresses, but also the quality of the treatment.
Visited A Day to Remember Bridal Boutique expecting nothing more than to browse, and left with a dress that I loved! Katt made the process fun, and effortless with a no pressure atmosphere, while also providing individual one-on-one attention. She had the expertise to put me in styles that I never imagined I'd go for, and she helped me find THE dress. She also provided a lot of information on local seamstresses, and helped me cover the last few accessories on my list. Thank you Katt and A Day to Remember for making a great experience out of a special moment like finding your wedding dress!
I loved using A Day to Remember as the place to get my wedding dress. It's a smaller boutique, which gave it a more intimate feel than some big chain stores. Also, my bridal consultant was amazing about choosing dresses for me. I went in with a very specific idea and, on her insisting, ended up trying on a dress completely outside of my comfort zone--and it ended up being the one! The only negative part of my experience was she put me in a dress at the end that I absolutely fell in love with, only to find out it was double my budget.
But, that aside, they were great. They suggested local tailors and steamed my dress before the wedding for free. A great spot for sure--you just might want to check the price tags yourself before you try on a dress!
I had the best first experience here! The employees were so friendly and beyond helpful. They really went out of their way to help in anyway they could. There is no doubt I would recommend this to place to anyone looking for a bridal gown, tux rentals, or bridesmaid dresses!
Had such a fun time!! Katt really listened to my likes and dislikes. Great experience overall.
My experience shopping for my wedding gown at A Day to Remember was wonderful and completely free from the "pressure-to-buy" atmosphere: relaxed and so enjoyable. In fact, they were even asking about other places I intended to visit, and suggested I go check out their sister salon in Bedford. Very realistic and down-to-Earth. As a first-time shopper, I did not feel like I was an annoyance, as I have heard some other brides say they have felt at other salons. Quite the opposite. Kat instantly had all kinds of ideas, and helped me to sample all kinds of silhouettes and styles to narrow down my personal preferences. To our surprise (and a very pleasant surprise it was) I ended up finding my dress that day...on my first day of wedding dress shopping! I'm still in shock, to a certain extent, but could not be happier with my experience. Thank you, A Day to Remember, and especially Kat, for guiding my mom and I through the process, and providing us with a memorable and special experience. She went above in beyond, as far as I'm concerned!
I had had a terrible previous shopping experience and was losing hope. I called A Day To Remember and connected with Jill. She said we were running out of time and said she was confident that we would find something, I wasn't so sure.
When I went in she was so friendly and really listened. She let me look at dresses and explain what I was thinking. We pulled some to try and then she pulled one and said "I can barely get anyone to try this on, but it sounds similar to what you describe, any interest?" Knowing trying doesn't mean buying, I was up for it.
Long and short of it I ended up buying that dress. I walked out and my best friend looked at my and said "OMG are you ready for that much fun!?" I wasn't sure, but I took a leap and it was SUCH a hit. A month later people are still ranting about how gorgeous I looked and how stunning my dress was.
The best part was when I went in to find a belt for my dress, I ended up finding an 'after party' dress that people claim to have loved almost as much as the first.
When I went in to pick up my wedding gown I ended up finding the perfect rehearsal dress.
Everyone was so nice and helpful. I would go back there again without a doubt!
I went in during a sample sale on a friday night, I was the only one in the store which was fantastic and i was helped by Jill. I had no intentions of finding my dress that night as it was the first time I had tried on dresses. Jill selected a dress by essence of australia that i wasnt really sure about but tried on anyway....and fell in LOVE. I wasnt sure about buying it that night because it was only the first time i had gone shopping. Jill informed me that the dress was discontinued so i could no longer order it and it was the only one in their store. I was still indecisive and felt like i needed to sleep on it, so Jill gave me her cell phone number! She told me the next day was going to be very busy and that they couldnt hold the dress for me because of the sale but if i decided i wanted it I could call or text her and pay her over the phone. I texted her late that night and said I wanted to come in and show one more person the dress before i made my decision. The next day she came in for her shift early just to meet me and help me show my stepmom the dress, which i ended up purchasing. I cannot thank her enough for being so kind!
I cannot say enough about how wonderful A Day to Remember was with all of the hassle I had gone through with another vendor AFTER purchasing my dress from them! I know this review is long, but you really must read the whole way through to get a feel for how wonderful this small business is. It truly shows that they love what they do and put the customer first! I purchased my wedding dress at A Day to Remember and managed to find the dress of my dreams for so cheap! It was a $1,600 dress and I only paid $850 for it! The place was wonderful, but they don’t have in house alterations, so I decided to take my dress somewhere closer to home. When I got it back from alterations I was way overcharged for a horrendous job! I left crying because the woman messed the dress up so bad. It was not how I had wanted it and she made it very uncomfortable. She also created, and LEFT holes in the dress and left it missing a button. I was absolutely mortified, but I had already spent so much money I didn’t want to pay to take it somewhere else. So, my mom decided she would try her best at altering it. Although it wasn’t perfect and was done on very quick notice, my mom got it tolerable. I then called A Day to remember to see if they could last minute steam it, as this is a complimentary service that they offer. You are supposed to give 48 hours notice, but due to the last minute salvaging of my dress, I was only able to give them 24 hours. They still went out of their way to accommodate me. When I dropped it off, I told them the story of the horrid alterations. Later that day, I received a call from Jill, the girl I purchased the dress from, asking me if the woman that had messed up the alterations had also done the bustle. I said yes and that I wasn’t happy with it, but neither my mother nor I knew how to fix it. She said that the owner of A Day to Remember is a custom dress maker and that she would like to redo my bustle for me FREE OF CHARGE! I was so incredibly happy. Not only was this so much extra work, it was 24 hours before I needed to leave for my wedding and she was bending over backwards for me. Later that night, I received another phone call from the owner herself this time. She said that she had gotten into the dress and saw the horrible alterations, holes, and missing beads that the previous woman had left. She wanted to completely redo the dress for me – again FREE OF CHARGE. She must have worked for 24 hours straight on redoing my entire wedding gown. I cannot even begin to explain to you how sincere they were! And they would not take a penny of my money. They were just concerned that I was happy with my dress and felt beautiful on my wedding day. She just kept saying that there is no way she would let a bride walk down the aisle in a dress that she wasn’t 100% happy with. When I picked up my dress I was absolutely ecstatic about it! It looked like an entirely new dress and I was so incredibly happy with the entire outcome. I cannot even provide words to say how grateful I am for what they did. This store will literally do anything and everything within their power to make sure that your special day is just as you have always dreamed. They sure did for me! I would recommend to anyone!
Jill worked with me all morning to find the perfect dress. I braved an ice storm to drive to Concord from Nashua and it was so worth it! The dress fit me perfectly and they even let me buy the one off the rack with a discount! I couldn't have asked for better service if I tried. I literally felt like the center of attention the entire time I was there. It was definitely an amazing experience and I am so happy with this store. I recommend to anyone, even coming from Massachusetts. Drive the extra hour, I promise you it will be worth it!!! :-)
The dresses were beautiful, but a little out of my price range. The staff was very helpful and super nice!
We were pleasantly surprised when we walked into this small bridal shop. We were greeted by a friendly face (I think her name was Andrea?) and never felt like a burden even though we didn't have an appointment! She got us right in a dressing room and was there to help pull dresses based on what we said we liked. She even pulled dresses I didn't think I would like but ended up loving when I put them on. She was knowledgeable, friendly, warm, and welcoming and I would recommend this store to anyone! She even offered to come in on her day off and open up the store so we could show my Aunt the dress we loved.
Fabulous place!
I would like to thank A Day to Remember for assisting me in finding my fairytale wedding gown! I had been in search for the perfect combination of a fitted and ball gown silhouette with lace detail and A Day to Remember had exactly what I was looking for.
My mom and I made an unexpected visit to the store while we were in Concord one day. We were greeted with smiling faces and excitement despite not having an official appointment. The consultant working with us helped work through their expansive inventory and truly listened to my likes and dislikes of the gowns I had been looking at so far. I had shared with her that I have always been drawn to the Maggie Sottero designs from the magazines or online and she helped me select some gorgeous lace gowns with beading that fit the description I was going for.
We started to try some things on and I made my way into their next room where mirrors stood on each wall and chandeliers hung from the ceiling. The lighting and presentation of it all made me feel like a princess! After trying on quite a few different styles we were able to narrow down to my favorites and when I put on the "Isadora" by Maggie Sottero it was all over. I finally got that feeling I had been waiting for...the rush of excitement and overwhelming satisfaction that we had found "the one"! We then continued to accessorize with the gown and while we didn't make any solid decisions on the veil or jewelry at that time, mom and I knew we would be back to complete the look when my gown came in.
We had a wonderful and rewarding experience at A Day to Remember, one that I will be thankful for and cherish forever. Thank you again for all of your help in the pre-wedding planning process your patience and attention to detail has been outstanding!
A Day to Remember is very convenient for anyone living in or around the Concord area. They were accommodating and helpful when needed. The store is an older store, but I loved my dress that did not matter that much. They do not have a very large selection of bridesmaids dresses so if you are looking for something specific check with them to see if they have it first.
Got my dress at A Day To Remember Bridal Boutique. They were very helpful through the whole process. Although I did have to call them to find out my dress was in as well as the hairpiece I ordered afterwards. Othwerise, I have no complaints. My dress was beautiful!
I purchased my bridal gown from A Day to Remember. Itwas a sample and the price was not lowered much, but they did add a beautiful cathedral length veil. The one issue I did have was dealt with by the manager, who went above and beyond to help me.
A Day to Remember was perfect because they carried the perfect dress for me. Not only did they have the dress, they also gave me the 100% attention I needed to make sure that I got my dress on time.
first of all, their personal brand of gowns (House of Jackson?) was what my dress was and my students thought it was a vera wang. I got an amazing deal and the people there were honest and nice. My dress was definitely my dream dress!!!!
Helen and her staff are one of a kind. Helen knows her stuff when it comes to wedding dresses. She truely is excited for the bride and shows it. I bought my dress here because the staff made me feel less pressured than other bridal shops in NH. I never had one issue or worry...and Helen did an amazing job bustling my dress!
I found the perfect dress - it was picked out by the girl working with us (Erin). This place has lots of dresses, one for every budget. I can't complain at all!
I had a very good experience at A Day to Remember. Ana listened well and found me the perfect dress that fit my budget.
Helen was so great, she was kind, helpful and kept all my experiences personal, with 1 on 1 attention. She helped with all stages of the wedding dress purchase. The shop is clean and full of choices for brides, bridal party, tuxes and proms. The other employees were also very helpful and nice.
This place got the job done but it seemed like the ball may have been dropped a few times. Other than that, the service girls were great with getting the orders in on time and having the alterations done in time.
the ladies here are amazing and are so willing to help any whay they can
they did not select dresses anywhere near my budget
After some positive word-of-mouth recommendations, my future mother-in-law and bride-to-be took a drive up to this dress shop one morning to look for a dress for my mother-in-law. After trying many dresses on, she finally settled on one that would be perfect for the big day.
When we got to the register and saw the price, my mother-in-law was having some misgivings about the overall price of the dress (it was around $400). After quite a bit of back-and-forth, the saleswoman pushed her into buying the dress. We finally submitted and ordered the dress, to be told that it would be around 3 months before the dress came in. Luckily we had gone in early, early spring, so we figured that would be plenty of time to get the dress altered in time for a September wedding.
3 months goes by and she goes to pick up the dress only to realize that it was the wrong dress. She told them it was the incorrect dress and they simply replied that it was at least the right color. She was beside herself because now we were only a few months from the wedding and she was now without the dress she ordered and paid for. She asked that they order the correct dress with expedited shipping so we would have enough time to get it altered in time for the wedding. They made her feel that it was her fault for asking for quicker shipping, saying that it was going to cost more to get it to the shop faster.
Waiting 5 more weeks, she finally got the dress (on today, 7/28/11). Obviously it was the wrong size for her and they reminded her again of the cost of expedited shipping. Refering back to the initial consultation where she said that she was going to lose weight for the wedding, the sales person replied that everyone says they're going to lose weight for the wedding and never do. They then told her that they might be able to get her in for an alteration, but brides come first so they probably couldn't get her in. She cut her losses at this point and is going to another tailor for the alteration.
For a supposed "institution for downtown Concord" that has been open for 60 years, it is an absolute wonder that this shop can even operate. Steer clear of this horrible shop and its terrible customer service.
I ended up buying the very first gown I tried, and haven't had an ounce of regret. A Day To Remember is an average smalltown shop, and I went there just to try and start to get an idea of what styles I might like. But after 6 gowns I kept going back to the first one I'd tried. They offered it to me at a HUGE discount because it was from a few seasons ago and had just been brought back out from their warehouse. It was too good of a deal to give up. I had alterations done back in my homestate of NY. Although I wish that I'd had a longer experience of trying on lots of gowns, I'm quite pleased with this one. I'm afraid that I don't remember much about the staff, but there were no problems.
When I started shopping for a wedding gown, I tried this shop first since I live just outside of Concord. I figured it would be nice to support a local business and one that I heard had amazing service!
While for the size of the shop, they had an amazing selection, and were quite willing to help me get any sample in I wanted to try on... the woman that I worked with was particularly crabby. I was hoping that she would help me a bit more because she looked to be more my age (early to mid twenties) but she just had a lot of attitude like she really didn't want to help me at all.
I don't know what her issue was, but it completely soured me to the shop, despite the fact that everyone else looked to be having the time of their life.
Great customer service !!! Highly recommended!!
This shop has beautiful dresses and an awesome sales staff, however the owner which is always there is awful. She talks down to you constantly. They only do fittings pb Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11-5 which majesty it very hard for those who work. My appointments got messed up twice and just caused unneeded stress My bridesmauds went to Modern Bride in Bedford and they are great I would go there first anytime ..sadly didnt discover them till after buying mine here.
After having the worst experience at a prior dress shop, A Day To Remember saved my wedding day. They were amazing! I almost called off my wedding because of the previous dress shop I purchased a dress at, but thanks to the staff and owner of ADTR, I got the dress of my dreams just in time for my big day.
I got my bridesmaids dresses from A Day to Remember and they were great! The woman we worked with was great! I could not have picked a better person to work with at the store! She was so helpful and kept up on track! She had a great variety of ideas and was very honest with us, which I loved! I had gone a couple of times with my maid of honor to try on dresses and they were wonderful everytime!
