A Different Bloom

Holly was absolutely amazing! After our first meet, she was extremely helpful in working with my budget to get the price down and still get everything I wanted! She was on time for delivery and everything looked absolutely amazing! I got her contact from when she did the flowers for my friend’s wedding so I was able to see her beautiful work twice! I got tons of compliments from all of the flowers and am so happy I went with Holly!

My full review is on google since the knot doesn't allow for super lengthy reviews. I will just post about the actual wedding day on this review, which should be enough to give you an idea of how Holly treats people. The Wedding Day. When she brought my bouquets, I was very happy with them. I did not have too high of expectations since florals really aren’t as important to me as other wedding details, but I was happy with how they turned out. When I walked into the reception, the greenery was very sparse, so I re-sent the initial pictures that I had sent Holly to my mother in law and asked if she could maybe add some more to some tables like the pictures showed. Evidently that flew over like a lead balloon with Holly. She told my mother and my mother in law, “I am basically working for free” and “It would be nice if some people would let us do our job and not keep telling us what to do”. I completely understand that they are professionals. This isn’t their first wedding to do. I am also sure that they get brides and mothers of the brides micromanaging their every move all the time. I imagine that can be incredibly frustrating dealing with that on a regular basis. HOWEVER, if you are paid to provide a service, you are provided pictures of what it is supposed to look like, then just honor what the pictures show. Additionally, my mother and my mother in law deserve to be treated with respect. Evidently more was said and done by Holly to both my mother and my mother in law, but they haven’t told me as they do not want to tarnish any of my memories from such a special day. The two comments that I was made privy to were disrespectful enough. I do know that the wedding planner had to step in and be a buffer for Holly’s poor attitude. I only allotted $2000 for florals since we had a strict budget for the wedding. Our actual bill was $1812.49. I guess if you plan on spending $2000 or less on florals, don’t hire Holly as she sees that as “free labor”. Perhaps if you have a larger budget, she’s your girl.

I had a troublesome time initially getting a hold of Holly. But once our schedules matched up, she was more than willing to answer my dozens of questions prior to our first meeting. She was professional, accommodating and stuck precisely with my budget. The flower arrangements looked unique and amazing, adding a beautiful atmosphere to our wedding ceremony and reception. Holly did the flower arrangements for my sister’s wedding at Town Hall Texas and she did my flowers at Magnolia Bells as well. She worked with me to stay close to my budget and offered great suggestions for cost efficient options. The bouquets and boutonnieres were exactly what we envisioned. My bouquet was exceptionally stunning. She was even able to include gardenias, (a special flower I specifically wanted), even after the first flower vendor we met with, (HEB Blooms), said they could not provide those. We did not go with traditional table centerpieces, but instead had wine bottles on the tables for stems. Holly arrived on time and set up the stems in the bottles herself. It looked so perfect! Highly recommend!

We were absolutely blown away by the level of service given by Holly with A Different Bloom at our wedding! Her skill in flower design is absolutely amazing! Every flower arrangement turned out better than we could have hoped for. From our first phone call with them, they made sure to put all of our concerns at ease, Holly was a dream to work with! Our wedding flowers turned out better than planned, and smelled like they had been picked that morning! Their incredibly friendly staff were a joy to talk with, and they made us feel at home from the first moment we walked through their door. A Different Bloom made sure to take all of our wants into consideration, and a gave us a variety of choices that fit within our budget. This allowed us to find the perfect flower arrangements for our wedding without breaking the bank. We can't recommend them enough!

I just had my wedding at TownHall Texas and A Different Bloom was one of the vendors included in the all inclusive package. Holly was a pleasure to work with. She offered very helpful suggestions and was very accommodating. The floral arrangements turned out way better than I imagined! Highly recommend!

Holly SAVED MY BUTT when we had a flower emergency for my wedding! I came in not really knowing what I wanted, and she was able to look at some of the pictures I had and figure out what I wanted, which really helped take stress and pressure off of me. She is such a sweet person and I would HIGHLY recommend her and her business to anyone!

Our flower arrangements were absolutely beautiful. Holly was a breeze to work with and really let us guide her on what we wanted. She took our ideas and transformed them wonderfully. Everything arrived just as we expected at a very affordable price.

I used Holly for all my flowers for my wedding on 6-20-15. She did an AMAZING job!! The flowers made the entire reception look come together. She was reliable, easy to work with and flexible with scheduling. She gave me good advice when designing everything and created exactly the look I was going for. We had so many compliments on the flowers. She is the best!!

Holly did an excellent job. Let's just say I'm a little "Flower Dumb." Holly was able to work with me on my lack of knowledge and really put together flowers that I was trying to imagine. With the bad weather in the North, she was able to pick flowers to substitute the original ideas... and her picks turned out looking WAY better than the original idea. I worked with Holly at A Different Bloom to make my bouquets. I brought pictures with me when I initially met Holly. She was very upfront about pricing and suggested flowers that would look similar and cost less. She also advised me on how I could decrease the cost of my flowers since I was working under a budget. Holly was very attentive and listened to what I needed. She gave fantastic suggestions and showed me her portfolio when I first met her. She worked diligently to give me different options of flower and thereby giving me different cost options. When we decided what to do, she kept in touch with me and even re-discussed what we had planned before she ordered flowers. I had decided to make my own boutonnieres and corsages and she sold me matching flowers at market value, and offered me additional supplies that I would need to make them. She gave me tips and pointers on how to make the boutonnieres and corsages, and reassured me that she would provide any assistance I needed at no additional charge. She was everything I could ask for in a Florist and was by far the best vender that I worked with during my wedding planning.
