Our food was excellent! All the guests were very happy with the quality and selections. We had multiple mention how great everything was. It looked very nice as well presentation wise. They also allowed us to try a box of the items we selected so we had an idea of the food prior to the big day.
This company worked directly with my venue, Flint Hill, so planning went very smooth. They did my florals, decor, and catering. I worked with Emily Fleming at the Deign Studio, and she made all of my ideas come true. I'm not the most creative, but I had a rough idea for what I imagined, and she suggested the most amazing decor pieces and florals that went perfect with the theme I wanted. As for the catering side, there was a large variety of dishes to choose from; it was so hard making a decision. It was phenomenally delicious, and the guests continuously said how good the food was throughout the night. I ate my entire plate - which as the bride, I did not think I would be up for eating too much. Loved working with them throughout the planning process!
They did my florals and decor. AMAZING job everything looked STUNNING! The team is super sweet too and will be friends in the future for a very long time :)
A Divine Event made our experience a pleasant one. The process was so smooth for my wife and me. From the many food options to choose from to the private tasting that made us feel like queens. We enjoyed every moment. Not to mention we're STILL getting compliments from our guests about the food TWO WEEKS later. Everyone thought the food was DELICIOUS! Including our chef friend who is critical of EVERYTHING. She gave her seal of approval!
Working with Divine Event was a breeze. Since we were planning during Covid, we weren’t able to attend the showcase, but they allowed us to order a tasting plate instead! We went with cocktail style reception and loved it. There were so many amazing options for our dinner menu, and we did opt to add dessert bars. We have wedding caterers in our family and are big foodies ourselves, and all of our guests RAVED about how good the food was. Happy to have worked with this caterer!
Absolutely no stress when using a Divine Event, they take care of everything and put your mind at ease. The food looked and tasted wonderful. Received several compliments from the guests at the wedding about food!
I cannot say that the wedding planning process was made extremely easy or that I did not get stressed working with this team at any point. However, I am giving this team 5 stars. One, overall the group was great. Communicative. Calm. Patient. Mostly organized. What made my experience with this team great was working with one of their florists/designers. I don't know that I can provide their name here but he did a wonderful job. Let's be honest at your appt with a designer you can only see so much of your vision. It's nerve racking. There are lots of decisions. Lots of costs to consider. Lots of weird flower names and odd colors. You can really get overwhelmed. The designer took what little ideas that I shared with him and not only put it to paper within my budget he actually made it happen. I don't know that I can explain how he was able to take something that I could barely describe and only saw in my head and make it happen, but he did. The weeks before my wedding I was panicking and he was calm and reassuring and made it all happen. Not saying theres not a huge team with this crew but the designer was there on the wedding day and played a key role in my peace of mind and my ability to enjoy it all.
A Divine Event was recommended through our Ceremony and Reception location aka they were all owed by the same company Magic Moments. I elected to go with Divine Event for catering, including the cake, decor, and flowers in order to simplify the process and limit the number of vendors that I had to work with. In the end, I am really glad that I used Divine Event. The food for the reception was fantastic! All of my guests raved over it. I highly recommend the Taste of Thailand, the Waffles and Chicken, and the Peppercorn steak. The cake and donut wall was also a hit with guests. The decor was simple and classy, just the way I wanted it and the flowers were perfect! Jim was exceptional to work with and he really listened to our needs. He provided great suggestions and in the end the entire venue with decor and flowers looked immaculate. Furthermore, the customer service was excellent! A week before the wedding I learned that the officiant was allergic to wrist corsages and of course, we had gotten her one. A Divine Event created her corsage so that the flowers didn't touch the skin. Most importantly, everything was reasonably priced. The only suggestion I would provide is to have more cake samples. Jim did work with us to try to get as many samples as possible, but unfortunately, we were not able to taste all cake flavors prior to the wedding.
A Divine Event abruptly cancelled on catering my wedding in September, even though I booked them (signed a contract and sent a deposit!) last November. The explanation is that they will no longer be catering at venues they do not own, leaving those of us at outside venues with cancelled contracts and no catering. I am very disappointed at the lack of professionalism and poor customer service that A Divine Event has shown by cancelling signed and paid for contracts.
Everything was delectable! We went with the Southern Exposure menu and it was damn good!
The food and service were amazing!
A Divine Event was a preferred vendor of our venue, Little River Farms, and now we know why: THEY ARE THE BEST!
We were planning an out-of-state wedding and from the very first email, Laura was amazing, helpful, friendly and helped make our dream wedding a reality. She is an actual angel and we don't deserve her.
ADE is super hands-on, accommodating and proactive! One example of them being a step ahead is when I'd had a discussion about cake stands. I wasn't loving the gold stands they had so I decided to bring my own. Lo and behold the cake was too heavy for the stand I bought, but they had brought their cake stand as a backup! Their foresight saved the day!!!
They truly care and go above and beyond to make your event special. I could honestly go on and on about how great they are, but it will all boil down to YOU SHOULD HIRE THEM.
I worked with Laura and Lisa for a large at home wedding, and I cannot find the words grand enough to describe my experience! Laura helped me the whole way making sure my day was perfect!
The food was divine! The service was wonderful! They should be your first call before you look anywhere else. They made my day, and I will be forever grateful.
We worked with A Divine Event for our wedding at Primrose Cottage and they exceeded all my expectations. We did a brunch wedding with breakfast food and I wish I could eat that meal every day. From the omelet station manned with 2 chefs to the cupcakes everything was perfect. The servers were all very attentive and the presentation of the food was beautiful. I would highly recommend them for any event.
A Divine Event was AMAZING! They had fantastic food options and gave us the flexibility to make our own menu that fit our style perfectly. We enjoyed the to go box of food that was sent home with us as well! We got so many compliments during the reception on the food as well!
WOW!
We got the service we paid for, delivered by people willing to go above and beyond. I can say NOTHING bad about working with A Divine Event. Look they can make it happen. My wife and I drive semi trucks for a living. We had a really complex and dynamic idea for our wedding. They were able to accommodate procuring a hard to get drink from out of the country for our toasting. They helped out more than neccessary, providing excellent and friendly advice! We also did our reception through their design department, and we were MOVED by how well they helped us refine our vision, and make it a reality. These guys KNOW what they are doing, which is freaking great because nobody has any idea how to go about planning a wedding. These folks will be in your corner if you employ them, that I promise you.
My wedding at Primrose Cottage designed and managed by the team at Divine Events, was absolutely incredible!! From our walk through with Donna on Day 1 to our design meeting with the effervescent Jenny to every perfect moment of the Day-Of with Jennifer Newberry...our experience could not have been better. The venue was gorgeous, our dream design was articulated perfectly, and the management of the day was handled with grace, class and effeciency. Our guests are still raving about the food (omg...parmesan rissoto wheel and crab fondue) and how gorgeous the space was. I could not recommend them more. And THANK YOU Divine Events!
Their name suits them so well. Literally hands down the best food and service I could’ve asked for!
We were absolutely thrilled with our experience with A Divine Event! After doing a few tastings with other companies, no ones food and presentation/experience compared to ADE. In the days leading up to the wedding, Chris and everyone on staff was incredibly accommodating and responsive and made any necessary changes or advice/ideas on setup, colors, etc. The day of was as perfect as we could have imagined. The setup and decor, as well as the service team was stellar all night long--we have had several wedding guests come up to us and rave about how good the food was. Plus my new husband and I loved munching on the take home box the next day! I would absolutely recommend ADE to anyone looking to have a seamless, perfect wedding day!
Our guests said: The food was OUTSTANDING! They were talking about how good the food was for two days after the wedding. Now, my husband and I did not get to enjoy the food like we thought we were going to, because the box of food they packed for us was portioned extremely small. We were told we would be given a to-go box containing some of EVERYTHING. However we only got two or three selections from a plethora of food that was served at the reception. What we did get to nibble on during the reception was great.
The food was outstanding! Another vendor canceled and I planned the event the week of wedding. we did a rehearsal dinner for 80 and it was spot on! The mac and cheese balls were delicious and baked ziti was excellent. Expensive but worth it
Our food from A Divine Event was fabulous! It seems they are a very busy company - the only reason I gave four stars is because they were hard to get in touch with at times or would occasionally forget about changes we had asked about. The food was absolutely amazing though, and relatively speaking a good deal!
A Divine Event did a great job in making our day perfect! The food was amazing, the flowers were beautiful, and the decorations really added to our venue. Jenny helped us with flowers and decorations and we fell in love with her immediately! She was by far one of my favorite people to work with- she knew what she was talking about and didn't try to ruin our budget! We highly recommend a Divine Event!
The food was delicious! Especially the short ribs! The wedding and groom's cakes were gorgeous and exactly what we wanted. The decor was stunning!!
Three letters...Y-U-M! Divine Events catered my wedding reception at Flint Hill and they did an absolute fantastic job! The menu I selected exceeded my expectations and guests were asking for 2nd and 3rd plates!
wonderful food, decor, flowers & cake. would recommend.
Food was excellent and everyone is still raving about the cake! They did a wonderful job!!
From the delicious food that my guests raved about to the stunning decor and incredibly beautiful floral arrangements, everything this team touched turned out wonderfully! Their attention to detail was much appreciated, as well!
The professionals at A Divine Event are truly PROFESSIONALS! They know how to ask all the right questions to anticipate and prepare for any needs that you, your family, and your guests may incur on the day of your wedding. We worked most directly with Heather and Channing who both had excellent communication and were a pleasure to work with. The serving staff that A Diving Event employs are also top-notch, and they added to our wedding with their welcoming and friendly personalities. Our food was catered by A Diving Event, and we had many compliments from people saying how delicious everything was! We also worked with the Design Studio through A Diving Event. The design elements that Terry and his team created were stunning! Great staff, great food, great company!
Everything was perfect from the food to the flowers, decor and cake. My guests (and my groom and I) raved about the food and the cake was incredible. Every touch perfect.
I used A Divine Event for just about everything: cake, food, and flowers! WOW! I am still getting compliments on everything. The food was delicious and there were so many options. Extremely fresh! AND THE CAKE! I have never tasted a more soft, cremey, and delicious cake! My guests were raving about it. I can not wait for my first anniversary, so I can take a bite of the top layer! Everything was so beautiful and picture perfect! I would recommend in a heartbeat!
I worked with Divine for my March 12th wedding at the Atlanta Biltmore.
Honestly, Divine is perfect.
They seriously go above and beyond to make sure that your wedding is just what you had envisioned.
I worked with Diane Park and she is the most thorough and responsive person I worked with throughout my wedding planning process. I started planning my wedding right in the middle of the holiday season, so talking to caterers was very frustrating. They basically told me that they will not be doing any tastings or any consults till after the holiday season. Diane and Divine do not operate like that and will answer all and any questions you have promptly, despite being bombarded with holiday parties.
I had a very specific menu in mind for my wedding and Diane really went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect for the day of. We probably went through at least 5 menu changes and Diane really took everything in stride and was so patient throughout the whole process!
Also, the food is beyond amazing. They are not your typical wedding caterer. The food they serve is restaurant quality food. My guests are still talking about how wonderful the food was!
Their waitstaff is also amazing. Divine provides the bride and groom with their own personal server who basically caterers to your every need, which you will most definitely need. (Nobody tells you how heavy wedding dresses are!)
All in all, I cannot say enough good things about Divine.
Our wedding was at the Biltmore Ballrooms on January 30th. Divine did an excellent job on our catering and flowers. Everyone loved the food, and the decor was absolutely beautiful! Diane Park was amazing to work with. We had so many people commenting on how delicious the food was. Terry did a great job with the decor. All of our flowers turned out beautiful. It was perfect to work with you.
A BIG Thank You to A DIVINE EVENT! You made my wedding perfect! The food was delicious and the presentation was perfect. My flowers were amazing! The design team was fun to work with and exceed all my expectations. I have received so many compliments on the food and flowers! Thank you to Sara and the whole team for making my dream wedding come true!
It was my pleasure working with Divine Events. The food was outstanding and the presentation was beautiful too. Terry you took our vision and made it a reality. It went beyond our dreams. The flowers were perfect and the bouquet was amazing. Jill you were so helpful, patient and kind. I truly appreciate all of your time and commitment.
Jill and Terry – Thank you both SO MUCH for your help this year planning our dream wedding! Everything was beyond perfect and guests are still raving about the food (I even dream about the food!), the décor and about how friendly the staff was! There aren't enough words that can express our gratitude. I highly recommend A Divine Event to any bride. They will exceed your expectations and all of the food is out of this world melt in your mouth good! I want to relive that day forever!
I loved working with A Divine Event for my wedding! Their food was absolutely delicious, and their prices were very reasonable. The best part of working with them, though, was the people. All of the servers at our wedding were professional and helpful, and having a personal server for the bride and groom was fantastic. Also, they were incredibly easy to communicate with throughout the planning process, and they made sure that we had everything we wanted on our wedding day. The cake presentation table and the overall decor provided by them was also great. I'd highly recommend A Divine Event for any wedding reception!
We were married in a private home in Country Club of the South which made the entire wedding a bit more complicated. It took a small village of very professional vendors to make it special. A Divine Event did an awesome job for us. The guests thought the food was amazing. Not only were we pleased with that aspect, they had to flip a room from a ceremony to a dinner reception during a one hour cocktail party. The room and the food stations looked amazing. We had a chance to thank the chefs who cooked on site (in the garage) for their efforts. The entire staff was friendly, professional, and there to make our night special. We were assigned a person who made sure we got an chance to eat and drink too - I cannot tell you how important that was when you are talking to guests but want to eat too! Thank you to the team at A Divine Event - I would highly recommend them.
My son and his bride to be fell in love with this place the minute they saw it! Rustic yet elegant. They really had a hard time finding just the perfect venue they had in mind. Once we attended the tasting, we knew it was also a great choice because the food was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff is amazing and the event coordinator, Jill, easy to work with. They adjusted well for weather thoughout the day as it changed and really knew how to utilize all areas of the venue to the best advantage.
Working with A Divine Event was one of the best decisions I made while planning my wedding! I got married at Flint Hill on October 11th; A Divine Event came with the package for my wedding. That being said, if I could have chosen a different caterer, I wouldn't have.
All of my guests raved about the food! All of my menu selections were executed perfectly, even down to my options for picky eaters. This company is totally professional and truly wants to ensure that your big day is what you always hoped it would be. (And I'm still craving that amazing gruyere macaroni and cheese!)
Wow! Cloverleaf Farm was everything I ever dreamed of. I immediately fell in love with the beautiful scenic backdrop of the ceremony location and the history of the property. Taylor and I had the pleasure of working with the amazing-talented-hilarious-compassionate Jill Cunningham. She took my very detailed vision and brought it to life, answered all of my ridiculous questions, was available just to chat at all hours of the day, most importantly reminded me to breath moments before walking down the aisle.... Every detail was flawlessly put together, not one little thing left behind and she did it with a smile and her charming wit. The rest of the staff was amazing, let me just say that one of my (having-such-a-great-time) bridesmaids left her phone at the venue and one of the bartenders drove to downtown Athens to deliver it to her at 1:30am. No questions asked, by far the most dedicated group of people I've ever worked with and I'm an event coordinator! Thank you, thank you... -Natalie Crosby
My daughter and now son-in-law chose Cloverleaf Farm as the venue for their October 2015 wedding. The entire journey, from beginning to end, was absolutely a pleasure. There are always stresses with planning a wedding, but A Divine Event was not part of that. Jill Cunningham, our event planner, made all of us feel so at ease. She was so personable and knows what she's doing, but not the least bit pushy. The best part was her sense of humor. I really had a friend to stand by all along the way. Donna, our wedding director, was also a pleasure to work with.
The compliments on Natalie and D.A.'s wedding haven't stopped coming. Cloverleaf Farm is the most spectacular and appropriate we saw in searching for a venue. It was so nice having a "one-stop-shop" for the catering. They also allowed us bring our own alcohol, but provided the bartenders. There were no surprises. Everyone had a wonderful time, and both sides of the family were thrilled. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!
Booking A Divine Event to cater our wedding was a very smart decision. This business is one of the most efficient, dependable, well-oiled machines I've ever seen! They have weddings and events down to a science! The food was delicious -- I'm still having cravings. The service was impeccable.
A Divine Event, attached to my venue, Primrose Cottage, was incredible when it came to polishing my ideas for our wedding! Sara Gagnon knows flowers better than anyone I have ever met. She knew how to make the perfect combination for my bridemaids' flowers, every floral arrangement in the venue-it was amazing! She took her time with me, making sure every single detail was exactly what I wanted. She was also not afraid to "use my words against me" so that my vision was as clear as possible to carry out my vision. When we went to the Romancing the Bride event at Primrose, we tasted several of the dishes that we chose for our dinner. Keep in mind that this is your sole opportunity to have food tastings, and there will be choices that you will have to just hope for the best on. No need to worry, though- everything was flawless! The lobster mac and cheese was a must-have for us after we tried it at Romancing the Bride. My only complaint is that after asking a staff member to make sure that the lobster mac and cheese was in our to-go bag, it was never carried out! However, this was a very small concern after everything else went flawlessly.
We loved working with A Divine Event for our wedding. We cancelled all of our other tastings after meeting with them-there was no need to go anywhere else. We were looking for a fun, different menu which they offer in addition to the classics. Everyone on the Divine staff are the nicest people to work with. The food and service was amazing-highly recommend!
Sarah did a great job at evaluating my many pins on Pinterest and helping me decide the floral look for my wedding while saying within the budget. She also designed pieces for the ceremony that were reused for the reception and provided valuable input in figuring out the design of our nontraditional ceremony. The flowers turned out to be vibrant and I received so many compliments on my floral crown, a last minute add to our order.
Let me just say three words: Mac and cheese. For anyone who has caught these guys at Atlanta bridal shows you'll know what I'm talking about. If there was one thing all of our guests came up and raved about, it was the food and A Divine Event didn't disappoint. Their presentation was flawless both for the cocktail hour and the seated buffet that we had but the food itself!? Summer salads, coffee braised short ribs, maple chicken and that mac and cheese that I seriously could have eaten a whole tub of if given the chance. If they had a restaurant I would eat there on a regular basis. Their customer service is amazing (thanks Diane Park!) and it was the easiest process we went through while planning our wedding. Plus their taster appointments are fun as you're all sitting around a table, getting served this amazing food and talking about the big day.
A Divine Event was awesome! We knew how important it was to have great food at our wedding, so we wanted the best caterer in town. We saw that A Divine Event was recommended by our Venue and that they were top rated on theknot and weddingwire websites so we knew they had to be good. Taylor was so helpful with planning everything and her upbeat personality and helpful attitude really helped us decide everything perfectly for the food that we wanted but that was still within our budget. Once we actually had our tasting where we got to try the food, we knew we had made the perfect decision on food choices, it was all so good! For the wedding, we had Diane help us and it all turned out perfectly. They all got there on time and we had plenty of food for our 300 guest crowd. Everyone was raving about it and loved the mashed potato martini bar! My favorite was the buffalo chicken spring roll served in a shot glass, such a creative way to serve such a delicious passed hor'deuerve. In addition, my husband and I had our own room to eat in with our bridal party upstairs at their own table away from everyone else so we all had time to eat. When the ceremony was over and we came upstairs, our plates were all already made at our seats, complete with appetizers and drinks! It was so nice to have that all prepared for us and waiting for us after pictures. We even had our own personal waitress who always checked on us to make sure we had enough to eat or needed another drink. It was so nice to be waited on and not have to worry about anything. All in all, spending a little extra on all the food was definitely worth it!! Definitely recommend this caterer to anyone who wants to make sure their event runs smoothly and the guests leave full and satisfied!
The food was to die for at the wedding. Every single person I talked to was amazed at how good everything was. The shrimp and grits bar is a MUST! It was melt in your mouth.
A Divine Event was recommended to us by our reception venue owner. We couldn't have been more pleased! From the moment my mom and I stepped into their building, they were warm and welcoming. Our representative listened to all of our desires and guided us on things we hadn't even considered. My husband and I went for a tasting and couldn't have been happier about the decision to use A Divine Event. They were easy to communicate with and worked hard to fulfill every request we threw at them. They were punctual and tidy. Their serving pieces kept it looking like the beautiful wedding we had imagined! The representative that we originally met with was there to supervise and that gave us great comfort! Everyone looked clean, professional, and very well put together. Our food was always hot and never ran out. My husband and I were assigned an amazing woman (whose name I wish I remembered). She guided us through the crowd, to the serving tables, and served our plates for us! She then seated us at a pair of comfy chairs near the heart of the action. This gave us a chance to eat and visit with people at the same time. It seemed that every time I turned to go get something, she was already there handing it to me. What incredible service! One of our guests manages a facility that regularly feeds 600 at a time and another owns a catering business in Knoxville. Both of them were extremely impressed by both the food and the service. That's high praise!
Can say anything else! the food and cake was amazing! It was really important for us to have a good tasting cake, and we got it !
Working with A Divine Event was a great experience. The food was incredible, the staff was very attentive and friendly, and the display of the food was great. A Divine Event makes sure to tie in your colors and theme in their presentation, and it was wonderful knowing I did not have to worry about how everything would turn out. My guests were raving about everything - especially the guyere mac and cheese and the dessert bar. It was also a pleasure working with Taylor Rhodes when setting up the tasting and planning our menu. She was always quick to respond to my inquiries, and was patient with my endless emails leading up to the wedding. She also took the time to go look at the venue ahead of time and plan out where everything would go. I would highly recommend using them as your caterer. I promise you won't regret it!
we worked with Taylor Rhodes and she was the best. Always available, ready to make any option work for us. The food was so delicious we had people asking it weeks after the wedding!
Working with them to get all our supplemental wedding needs was a great experience. Our wedding guests are still raving about the food, flowers and cake.
A Divine Event is the in-house caterer for The Atrium in Norcross. They provided the food and the cake for our wedding on September 21, 2013. We knew that the food was going to be a hit when we went to the Romancing the Bride event on July 25. We were so impressed with the options on the menu that this excited us even more. The food was so good that I was kind of disappointed they didn’t provided us with more take home trays for my husband and I. LOL, I wish we had food to last a few days. I kind of wish I ate more that day but with all of the excitement I was so caught up in the moment that I barely ate. When it came time to cut the cake my husband and I finished our whole slice at the moment. Our guests still rave about the food till this day. Thank you Divine Event for one of the most memorable experiences in our lives!
Now that we have finally wound down from the wedding, I’m excited to report that we sincerely appreciate the efforts of A Divine Event in helping to make our daughter's wedding day a truly wonderful day to remember. I congratulate A Divine Event for a well planned, organized, executed catering experience, and most of all, for a thoroughly enjoyable reception. Their staff was outstanding and the food, both in taste and presentation, was out of this world. Our complements to the chefs!
My only regret is that I was too full to be able to eat more of their terrific food, especially the to-die-for pies! And we received so many wonderful comments from our guests on the catering that I'm sure they will receive many more events for catering.
I don't know about other people, but 99% of the food I eat at weddings is awful, and I don't even consider myself that big of a "foodie". Almost 6 months later my guests are still raving about the amazing food that A Divine Event catered at our wedding at Flint Hill. I have two friends who have hired them to cater their special events just from coming to my wedding - one a corporate holiday party coming up that I would happily be her date to just to eat Divine's food again and the other for her wedding as well. I know decor and music and all that is an important part of your guests experience and the overall feel of your wedding, but don't skimp out and don't be fooled....if your food stinks it will definitely be something that your guests will leave with on their minds as they're looking for something still open to eat on the way home. I'm so thankful I made the choice I did! A Divine Event ROCKS!!! I recommend their Coffee Braised Short ribs and Lobster Mac n' Cheese. Yum.
A Divine Event was the caterer we chose for my daughter's wedding for many reasons. They have an excellent reputation and are very professional while giving the personal attention every bride deserves. The food was extremely important to us and ultimately what drove our decision to choose A Divine Event over the other caterers we considered. We chose three appetizers for cocktail hour and four stations for the reception. All of the food was not only delicious but beautifully presented. The staff was excellent, both friendly and professional. The walk through meeting before the wedding went smoothly. We left confident that everything would be perfect. We also feel that it was an excellent value. We would use them again and have happily recommended them to others.
I searched the internet for reviews on caterers for my wedding and found A Divine Event. From the moment I began working with them I knew it would be success. Taylor was flexible, knowledgable and always patient. The food was glorious - my guests are still talking about it. The staff was impeccable! My wedding was in my home and they came in, setup and cleaned up everything - I never worried about them. The staff were very pleasant and professional to all the guests and yet very unobtrusive. I would recommend A Divine Event to anyone and will absolutely use them again for other parties!
A divine event catered our wedding at Cloverleaf Farm in Athens. We got a ton of compliments on the food, and the execution was flawless. They also packed an amazing to-go bag of yummy food for us after the wedding, which was great because we really didn't eat a whole lot at the actual wedding. I would definitely recommend them!!
A divine event's design team took care of our floral and design aspects too. It was so much easier to have one contact team for the whole shebang. Terry was a dream to work with. He really is super creative, and put together a beautiful setting for us - rustic charm, hay bales on the farm, gorgeous! We really felt the whole team cared about us and how the event turned out. They set our minds at ease every step of the way!
The menu was extensive and very appetizing. There are so any cute and creative ideas that could create a lot of fun interaction for your guest. Every item we choose was exceptional and th portions were great. We were afraid we did not order enough food, and was surprised by the portions. We did not sample the menu because we chose them just 5 days before the wedding. The coordinator and staff were very helpful and friendly. She took good care of us on our wedding day.
My husband and I recently married and we are so happy that we selected A Divine Event to cater our magical wedding day. They offered several different menu options to choose from which made it hard because everything tasted delicious. The presentation of the food was excellent!
Hats off to the Steve Moore and his elite staff! Steve was very professional from the very first time we met for our menu selection, through the tastings on to the wedding day. Steve was always prompt with responding to any questions or concerns that my husband and I had. We are so glad that A Divine Events was a part of our special day.
The food was amazing and our guests are still talking about how delicious the passed hors d'oeuvres were during cocktail hour which included Buffalo Chicken Spring Rolls, Maytag Sauce, Carrot, Celery, Served in a Shot Glass, Sesame Beef Skewers, Handmade Crab Cakes, Wasabi Mayo. We choose to have a seated serve dinner that consisted of Artisanal Dinner Rolls with Piped Honey Butter, Autumn Salad: Mesclun Greens,
Cranberries, Toasted Pecans, Green Onions, Goat Cheese, Raspberry Vinaigrette, French Cut Herb Grilled Chicken with Garlic Infused Mashed Potatoes, Haricot Verte Wild Mushroom Saute, Chicken Jus. They raved on the way that Steve and his staff made sure everything was perfect.
We would recommend Steve and his staff at A Divine Events hands down. You will not be disappointed. We are so glad that they played an intricate role in our wedding!
A Divine Event in our opinion is the best in Atlanta, Georgia!
My daughter's wedding was truly a divine event. Steve and his staff did a marvelous job in ensuring that everything went very well. The food was amazing and the service was impeccable. His attention to detail was admirable. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the reception and are still talking about the event. I was my daughter's wedding planner. It was truly a great experience working with Divine Event and their team. I was impressed with the knowledge and experience Steve and his team brought to the table. The staff was also friendly and easy to work with.
I certainly would recommend them to any bride. The food was great!!!
All of our food so great! The guest are still talking about the beef tenderloin 3 weeks later. These guys were also willing to accommodate some of our guest with food allergies. Everything was fantastic.
The best food ever! We attended an open house at Flint Hill. The food they were sampling sold us on the location. My husband is a vegeterian and he LOVED all the options that were available. Two weeks later and guests are still talking about how fantastic the food was.
The food was amazing! The jerk chicken with mango peach salsa may have been the best I have ever had! EVERYONE loved the food!
Now that we have finally wound down from the wedding, I want you to know that we sincerely appreciate the efforts of Kristin, Laura, and all of your staff in helping to make our daughter's wedding day a truly wonderful day to remember.
We wish to thank and congratulate A Divine Event for a well planned, organized, executed catering experience, and most of all, for a thoroughly enjoyable reception. Your staff was outstanding and the food, both in taste and presentation, was out of this world. Our complements to the chefs!
My only regret is that I was too full to be able to eat more of your terrific food, especially the to-die-for pies! And we received so many wonderful comments from our guests on the catering that I'm sure you will receive many more events for catering.
Please give our heart felt thanks to everyone at A Divine Event for a very memorable experience.
As MOB, I am thankful that I found "A Divine Event" early in the planning process for both catering and decor. 1st CATERERING, Steve Moore was responsive to my inquiries even though it was the holiday season. The "sampling" appointment was the clincher and after the bride and groom voiced their "wants", Steve planned the menu. There were 3 stations - crab cakes, beef tenderloin, potato martini with toppings - and the main buffet. There was also a dessert station with wedding cake, peach cobbler in individual skillets, groom's topper with mini desserts and a coffee bar. Unbelievable!! Guests made a point of seeking me out to comment on the delicious food, presentation and attentive staff/servers and bartenders. Steve Moore and his staff were all about quality. DECOR - Terry Schwennesen - Using "A Divine Event" was a very smart decision on my part for a number of reasons other than my sanity. At the 1st meeting with Terry, the bride communicated her ideas and dreams for the decor. Terry worked with us and at the 2nd meeting, Terry and the bride were at a "meeting of the minds." The decor was unbelievably beautiful incorporating the bride's dreams and Terry's expertise. The smallest details were no less exquisite then the decor for the ceremony and reception. Terry designed an arch for the ceremony that was a showcase for the venue. Steve and Terry met again with us at the venue for a walk-thru a week before the wedding and they coordinated both the catering and the decor. On the day of the wedding, Terry stayed calm and cool even though the venue did not follow through with their responsibilities and allowed 2 functions to happen at a time when Terry and his staff should have been starting their work. While the FOB was about to voice his objections to the parties, Terry and his staff were calm and reassuring. They assured us that they could work with the delay. That delay had to put stress on Terry and his staff but they never let it show. The result of their planning and hard work was beyond my expectations. Thanks to you, Steve and Terry and your professional staff!!
The short review:
A Divine Event (ADE) catered my wedding 3 weeks ago. It was amazing. Their people were a pleasure to work with. I would absolutely use them again and would not even think twice about it. I very highly recommend them to anyone!
The long review for the detailed brides (like me):
From the beginning, ADE was awesome. I didn’t have a super amazing budget and they worked with me to get what I needed at a price I could afford. Steve Moore, their Senior Social Account Exec, was always quick to respond to my emails and answered my hundreds of questions with enthusiasm. The tasting was great. The whole staff was super nice and did not rush our tasting. The chef came in and explained all of the dishes to us. We were able to enjoy the food, ask questions and make changes, as needed. Steve helped us to develop a menu that was perfect for us. We had passed hors d’oeuvres during cocktail hour and three chef-attended action stations for the reception. More on the food in a moment…
When I arrived at the venue on the day of my wedding, ADE was already there setting up. The only person that I talked with that day was Marla, the server that ADE put in charge of making sure my husband and I were taken care of. She was awesome! She made sure we had drinks and took food to the bridal suite so that we could steal away and grab a quick bite before going back to our guests. I didn’t talk to any other ADE people because I didn’t have to! They took care of everything. My wedding coordinator and cake baker said that everyone from ADE was super nice, that they were really on top of things and just handled the event perfectly.
Now, onto the food. It was the absolute best. Our three action stations were amazing. We had a Tilapia Taco station. This was my favorite of them all. The tacos were so perfect and the sauce just set it off! We also had a pasta station with three different pastas: Penne Pasta with a Lemon Cream Sauce, Chicken and Spinach; Pasta Marinara with Mama Mia’s Meatballs; and Penne with a Vodka Cream Sauce with Roasted Cauliflower and Spicy Sausalito. All of the pastas were absolutely delicious. And lastly, we had a Southern Braised Roast with Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Stir Fried Collard Greens. The roast was a favorite of our guests. The food was so full of flavor, everything was very hot and the lines for all the action stations moved quickly.
They also put a bag in our driver’s car that had a good portion of food from each of our actions stations, two pieces of cake and a box of truffles. Since we didn’t get to eat a lot at the wedding, this was a lifesaver! I was so thankful to actually get to eat a full piece of our wedding cake!
Now, exactly three weeks after our wedding, people are still talking about the food! A few days ago, someone said that they never leave a wedding remembering the food and they still think about how good our food was. Another person said it was the best wedding food that they’ve ever had. Several of our guys said that they had two or three servings of the roast because it was “just that good.”
Overall, it was a major success. I cannot possibly thank A Divine Event enough for all they did to make our night perfect. I highly recommend them and cannot wait to use them again for my next event.
I used Divine Event to cater our engagement party in July and was very pleased! The food was delicious and the staff was amazing! The staff was extremely professional and very attentive even though it was really warm outside. I can't wait for them to be a part of my wedding in May!!
The food was done through Little Gardens sister company for our reception and it was excellent. I was nervous because you do not have the opportunity to sample the food beforehand, but it was absolutely delicious. My guests loved the food and the appetizers that night. The only downfall was that the passed appetizers ran out quick and some of my guests did not even get to try any of it before the dinner buffet opened, including my own mother and father, which was not good. Otherwise, the food was excellent!
All of our guests had said that the food was DELICIOUS, the service was PHENOMENAL, and the cocktails were EXELLENT. They made our day AMAZING!!!
The food was impeccable and the staff was phenomenal! All of my guests were and are still talking about how great the food was. It was the special touches and superb service that helped to make my day perfect!
I had a great experience working with Steve Moore and A Divine Event. They were extremely accommodating on their tastings and were able to help me stay within my budget. The food was tasty as well - especially the fried green tomatoes! The take home box was a great treat after a long, tiring day. They were very familiar with my venue, Fernbank, and setup went extremely smoothly. Overall, I would definitely recommend A Divine Event!
I hosted a family event in which Divine Event were, hands down, our first choice as the caterer! Everything from the decor to the staff was great, and oh my goodness, the FOOD was absolutely DELICIOUS! My family and I are still talking about it and those that weren't able to attend wish they were there. I would HIGHLY recommend Divine Event to anyone that want the absolute best service and food - let them exceed your expectations, you'll be so glad you did!
A Divine Event was the perfect caterer for my wedding. I spent a lot of time researching all of the vendors in Atlanta. I fell in love with their menu offering. The food was not only delicious at our tasting, but was incredible on our wedding day. After our wedding, we received many compliments from guests regarding the food. Several guests said this was the best food they ever had at a wedding.
A Divine Event was also very responsive and attentive to our needs in the planning process as well as on our wedding day. They went above and beyond to make sure our wedding was a beautiful day. The design and set up of all of the buffet tables and cake tables were amazing. The staff was very attentive to our guests during our cocktail hour and reception. This allowed my family to enjoy the evening without any stress. I would recommend A Divine Event to anyone planning a wedding or event.
A Divine Event was not only the best tasting of food of any of the preferred vendors they were also the most competitively priced. We received so many compliments that it was the best food guests had ever had at a wedding. I will be craving the mac and cheese in the future. Their entire team especially Steve helped us with the best table set ups and linens. When I came in the room they had put together my vision and created magic. They made everything so stress free we were able to enjoy our wedding day.
As parents of the groom we contracted with A Divine Event to cater the wedding eve rehearsal dinner. We could not have been more pleased or proud of the way the evening turned out. Working with event coordinator Chris McCommons was an absolute pleasure. I know this company is very busy but she was always so patient and made me feel as if I were her only client every time we had contact. When I had to make a last minute increase to the number of guests who would be attending Chris very smoothly pulled it off without a hitch!
Another important detail of an event is the waitstaff. Every single one of the staff was exceptionally nice, accomodating, professional and, most importantly, personable. I have never worked with more pleasant people. Many an event has been ruined by rude staff and ones who act as if they'd rather be anywhere else but where they are. No worries here. We all hated to leave them that evening! The good thing was that we knew we'd see them the next day because A Divine Event also catered the wedding!
I can't say enough about the food at the rehearsal dinner and the wedding. It's been almost three weeks since the events and guests are still raving about the cuisine! "Unique" would best describe the menu at both events. This is what impressed guests the most...how different and wonderful the selection was. I've had several guests get in touch with me and want me to see if I can get the recipes!
I would highly recommend using A Divine Event for your special day. You will be thrilled with the results.
Quality: Everything was very well done from the flowers to the decor etc. The one slip up was with the food. Everything was great except the filet. It wasn't superb at our tasting and was just good at the reception. All the other food was exceptional though.
Responsiveness: Overall they were very responsive but there were a couple occasions where it took them longer than I expected to get in touch with us when we had questions, especially for what we were paying.
Professionalism: Very professional and respectful the whole way, this was their biggest asset.
Value: Our budget was significant and still had to go over budget to get what we wanted. They are definitely a luxury service provider, not a value brand. However, you get what you pay for and we got an exceptional wedding, it just wasn't a "value" service.
Flexibility: Overall they were very flexible. However, the one drawback was scheduling appointments for our decor meetings. They were very inflexible which was very difficult with me and my wife's schedules.
Overall: We had an exceptional wedding that went very smoothly. We had one of the best days of our life because of A Divine Event so I would definitely recommend them. Could they have done some things better? Certainly. However, if you can afford it, they are great to work with and you should get everything you want (but obviously it depends on what that is).
My wedding day with A Divine Event was absolutely perfect. They set me up with an incredible designer (Genie Chamberlin) who also coordinated the flowers and decor at our ceremony as well as the table arrangements at the reception. She took our music/rock and roll theme to the next level, with vinyl record centerpieces and really imaginative, personal touches and surprises tucked all around the room.
The Divine Event staff on our wedding night was incredible. We felt totally pampered and cared for all night long. No matter where my husband and I were (taking photos outside, chatting with family at the reception), they would come find us, check on us, and bring us food and drinks. When we got back to our hotel room at the end of the night, there were chocolates waiting for us and a box of leftovers. Everything just felt so easy… and everything was there, waiting for us and ready when we needed it. I didn't feel the need to even check on the wedding setup-- I relaxed with my girls all day, and when I made the walk down the aisle and then down to the reception, everything was in it's right place and it all looked beautiful.
And THE FOOD… Wow. We were delighted at the tasting, but I know sometimes when you make food in mass quantities the quality goes down. This was not at all the case here! EVERY dish was amazing. Many of our guests said it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding, and we totally agree! The fish tacos were my favorite… the stuffed pork tenderloin was also mouth watering. My dad was crazy about the chicken, my mom loved the pasta salad… everyone had a favorite dish. Our coordinator/sales manager Chris McCommons even accommodated very last minute when we found out, at the reception, that two of our guests had dietary restrictions were were previously unaware of.
If I have any complaints about A Divine Event it would be that there were times during the planning process when we had to email or call multiple times to get a response/update, but I know A Divine Event is juggling many clients at once. At the same time, when we did sit down and meet with Chris, she was a pleasure to work and incredibly patient and helpful.
In retrospect I wish we had planned a way to reserve a few tables for the wedding party which was a minor oversight (the bridesmaids/groomsmen ended up spread out around the room), but that was really not a big deal… they spent most of their time on the dance floor, anyway!
I highly recommend A Divine Event for your wedding in Athens, Atlanta and beyond.
It's been 3 weeks since my wedding and people are still telling me how great the food was!! They offer a big tasting event that allows you to taste several different items (cooked in bulk!!!) and the only problem is choosing which ones! You will want them all!
We really expected more from the caterers. They told us they were comfortable with vegetarian cuisine, but it didn't taste that way. We ordered salmon for our non-vegetarian guests and were told that it was overcooked and dry!
We had mixed feelings about Divine. Our original POC was phenomenal and took care of every question promptly. She left and we were handed to another sales rep, communication became difficult with her and waited DAYS for emails to be returned. The staff at our reception was very helpful, although we never met our catering manager and our floor plan was set-up incorrectly. All that said, the food was very good, and our guests enjoyed it.
Our guests can not stop mentioning how great the food was. We hit some bumps during the tasting, with efforts to create a unique menu with some traditional family recipes, but Steve and his team were awesome in their efforts and when we finally reached our happy place, everyone was satisfied and the stations were GREAT!!! The mac and cheese and risotto station (2 of their staples) were a hit! They were very accommodating with all of our requests and pulled off an AWESOME night. Our VIP service was great---they really took care of us as bride and groom all night!
A Divine Event provided the food for my wedding and it was absolutely delicious! Every dish tasted fresh and flavorful. Several of my guests said that it was some of the best food they had tasted!
We were very pleased with A Divine Event. The linens and centerpieces were included, and they had great selection to choose from. We had a seated served meal, and the food was hot and delicious for everyone!
I used A Divine Event for my wedding this October and it was nothing less than perfect! My guests are still raving about how DELICIOUS the food was and how gorgeous the centerpieces were! Lacy was a pleasure to work with and the staff the day of the wedding were amazing! We had one staff member who was just dedicated to me and my husband so if we needed anything, it was always there! I am SOOOO happy we chose A Divine Event! It was the wedding of my dreams, thanks to them!
My brother had his Summer 2010 wedding catered by A Divine Event. They offered an innovative menu with delicious and unexpected options, which totally set the tone for the overall event. The quality of the food was the topic of conversation in our family for nearly a month after the wedding. I would highly recommend A Divine Event for your next function.
I attended an event this October that A Divine Event catered and I can honestly say that it was the best food I've ever had at a wedding. The shrimp and grits were definitely my favorite but everything tasted amazing! I would absolutely refer them to anyone who wants to impress their guests with OUTSTANDING food at their event!
One word to describe my overall experience and quality of food with A Divine Event: Perfection. From the wonderful staff, specifically our coordinator, Lacy Wilhoit, elegant decor and the scrumptious food, A Divine Event made our wedding a memorable experience for who all attended. If anyone is looking for a caterer with food that will leave your guests wanting more then A Divine Event is for you. They catered my bridesmaid luncheon, our Irish themed rehearsal dinner and the buffet dinner reception. It is hard to imagine not using them for all our wedding catering needs! I just cannot say enough good things about this company. You will certainly not be disappointed with any aspect of what services the provide.
