We got so many compliments about our food! Everyone was obsessed with the cheese wheel and the donut station. The salmon and chicken were both stellar too.
We got married at Primrose Cottage and had A Divine Event food and WOW. This was the best wedding food we’ve ever had and not only that, every single one of our guests that we spoke to said the exact same thing. They said the food was amazing and really tied together such a fun, beautiful day! Every single thing people ate was delicious but the pasta - TO DIE FOR. We were obsessed and wanted to take it all home…so did our guests! We had multiple people ask for the recipe and honestly, we want it to!!! Amazing food!! If anyone reads this who works there, please please reach out to me - I’d love the recipe for that pasta!!!
One comment is that we were promised a to-go plate/box for us but we didn’t receive that (which we were SUPER bummed about). I don’t know if that’s the caterers or the venue issue but if this is something that’s important to you, make sure you remind them about that before the buffet closes - we wish we did!
My wedding at Flint Hill had two different stories: The wedding day was fantastic, but the planning was a nightmare. I suspect the positive reviews reflect the former. I will share advice that I wish I had received before making a 50% deposit. My rating is based on the planning. The day of would get 4 stars. My wedding was scheduled for The Atrium, but we moved it to Flint Hill, eliminating Atrium-specific problems. Unfortunately, corporate policies and staff difficulties were present at both locations.
- We were glad we had an outside wedding planner to be our ally. If you've never planned an event like this, you might not realize that you can easily be taken advantage of.
- They provide a lot of staff on the day of the event, but some of them were people we had never met. We had an eight-minute call with our “Day of Reception Director” the week before the wedding. She is a part-time (weekends) employee who doesn't even have a company email address.
- We were dazzled by Melissa's sales pitch. She spent 2 hours with us when we came in for a tour and it was great. We thought she would be a great ally in this process. She was super friendly and helpful through the contract process until we paid 50%.
- We needed to read every version of the updated invoice to catch price changes. The price of our dessert was $9 until one day it was $9.50. They charged us $150 for early arrival with a $150 credit to cancel it out. One day that credit had changed from $150 to $2. Laura from the design studio “accidentally” increased the price of some tablecloths by $5 each.
- Their contracts sometimes expire after two days, and they said we needed to sign before getting answers to our questions. This happened with 2 contract addendums. We asked questions. Melissa said “Any specific detail changes to this contract will be handled in the extended planning sessions.”
- They marginalized me while behaving towards my husband. We had a recurrent problem where I would send an email, no response, husband reminds them, and they respond quickly. One time they ignored my email for five days. When he replied to my note, they responded to him within the hour. I don't know if it's because he's a man, he makes more money than I do, or they simply didn’t like me.
- Menu changes come with an upcharge. You only get to put out one salad dressing. If you want your guests to have a choice, there is an $0.50 per person. Mashed potatoes come with no toppings. Want to add something as simple as sour cream or chives? One dollar per person for each topping.
- We paid more than 80% of the adult rate for children aged 4-9. Children starting at age 10 are charged full price. The menu says "reduced rate" for children, but the aren't mentioned until much later in the process. They get a 20% discount on the base price for the buffet, but they are full price for drinks, dessert, and add-ons. I don’t know if they would also be charged 100% for drink packages with alcohol.
I want to thank Kristin, the CEO, for her help. Two months before our wedding, she allowed us to switch from the Atrium to Flint Hill because it was a better space for our needs. We had to pay $3,500 in additional fees, but we needed to do it, so we cut costs elsewhere to offset the fee
I just got married at The Atrium, one of the venues A Divine Events works with, on May 2, 2025. The food, florals, and decor (all provided through A Divine Event) were stunning!
Our food was excellent! All the guests were very happy with the quality and selections. We had multiple mention how great everything was. It looked very nice as well presentation wise. They also allowed us to try a box of the items we selected so we had an idea of the food prior to the big day.
This company worked directly with my venue, Flint Hill, so planning went very smooth. They did my florals, decor, and catering. I worked with Emily Fleming at the Deign Studio, and she made all of my ideas come true. I'm not the most creative, but I had a rough idea for what I imagined, and she suggested the most amazing decor pieces and florals that went perfect with the theme I wanted. As for the catering side, there was a large variety of dishes to choose from; it was so hard making a decision. It was phenomenally delicious, and the guests continuously said how good the food was throughout the night. I ate my entire plate - which as the bride, I did not think I would be up for eating too much. Loved working with them throughout the planning process!
They did my florals and decor. AMAZING job everything looked STUNNING! The team is super sweet too and will be friends in the future for a very long time :)
A Divine Event made our experience a pleasant one. The process was so smooth for my wife and me. From the many food options to choose from to the private tasting that made us feel like queens. We enjoyed every moment. Not to mention we're STILL getting compliments from our guests about the food TWO WEEKS later. Everyone thought the food was DELICIOUS! Including our chef friend who is critical of EVERYTHING. She gave her seal of approval!
Working with Divine Event was a breeze. Since we were planning during Covid, we weren’t able to attend the showcase, but they allowed us to order a tasting plate instead! We went with cocktail style reception and loved it. There were so many amazing options for our dinner menu, and we did opt to add dessert bars. We have wedding caterers in our family and are big foodies ourselves, and all of our guests RAVED about how good the food was. Happy to have worked with this caterer!
Absolutely no stress when using a Divine Event, they take care of everything and put your mind at ease. The food looked and tasted wonderful. Received several compliments from the guests at the wedding about food!
I cannot say that the wedding planning process was made extremely easy or that I did not get stressed working with this team at any point. However, I am giving this team 5 stars. One, overall the group was great. Communicative. Calm. Patient. Mostly organized. What made my experience with this team great was working with one of their florists/designers. I don't know that I can provide their name here but he did a wonderful job. Let's be honest at your appt with a designer you can only see so much of your vision. It's nerve racking. There are lots of decisions. Lots of costs to consider. Lots of weird flower names and odd colors. You can really get overwhelmed. The designer took what little ideas that I shared with him and not only put it to paper within my budget he actually made it happen. I don't know that I can explain how he was able to take something that I could barely describe and only saw in my head and make it happen, but he did. The weeks before my wedding I was panicking and he was calm and reassuring and made it all happen. Not saying theres not a huge team with this crew but the designer was there on the wedding day and played a key role in my peace of mind and my ability to enjoy it all.
A Divine Event was recommended through our Ceremony and Reception location aka they were all owed by the same company Magic Moments. I elected to go with Divine Event for catering, including the cake, decor, and flowers in order to simplify the process and limit the number of vendors that I had to work with. In the end, I am really glad that I used Divine Event. The food for the reception was fantastic! All of my guests raved over it. I highly recommend the Taste of Thailand, the Waffles and Chicken, and the Peppercorn steak. The cake and donut wall was also a hit with guests. The decor was simple and classy, just the way I wanted it and the flowers were perfect! Jim was exceptional to work with and he really listened to our needs. He provided great suggestions and in the end the entire venue with decor and flowers looked immaculate. Furthermore, the customer service was excellent! A week before the wedding I learned that the officiant was allergic to wrist corsages and of course, we had gotten her one. A Divine Event created her corsage so that the flowers didn't touch the skin. Most importantly, everything was reasonably priced. The only suggestion I would provide is to have more cake samples. Jim did work with us to try to get as many samples as possible, but unfortunately, we were not able to taste all cake flavors prior to the wedding.
A Divine Event abruptly cancelled on catering my wedding in September, even though I booked them (signed a contract and sent a deposit!) last November. The explanation is that they will no longer be catering at venues they do not own, leaving those of us at outside venues with cancelled contracts and no catering. I am very disappointed at the lack of professionalism and poor customer service that A Divine Event has shown by cancelling signed and paid for contracts.
Everything was delectable! We went with the Southern Exposure menu and it was damn good!
The food and service were amazing!
A Divine Event was a preferred vendor of our venue, Little River Farms, and now we know why: THEY ARE THE BEST!
We were planning an out-of-state wedding and from the very first email, Laura was amazing, helpful, friendly and helped make our dream wedding a reality. She is an actual angel and we don't deserve her.
ADE is super hands-on, accommodating and proactive! One example of them being a step ahead is when I'd had a discussion about cake stands. I wasn't loving the gold stands they had so I decided to bring my own. Lo and behold the cake was too heavy for the stand I bought, but they had brought their cake stand as a backup! Their foresight saved the day!!!
They truly care and go above and beyond to make your event special. I could honestly go on and on about how great they are, but it will all boil down to YOU SHOULD HIRE THEM.
I worked with Laura and Lisa for a large at home wedding, and I cannot find the words grand enough to describe my experience! Laura helped me the whole way making sure my day was perfect!
The food was divine! The service was wonderful! They should be your first call before you look anywhere else. They made my day, and I will be forever grateful.
We worked with A Divine Event for our wedding at Primrose Cottage and they exceeded all my expectations. We did a brunch wedding with breakfast food and I wish I could eat that meal every day. From the omelet station manned with 2 chefs to the cupcakes everything was perfect. The servers were all very attentive and the presentation of the food was beautiful. I would highly recommend them for any event.
A Divine Event was AMAZING! They had fantastic food options and gave us the flexibility to make our own menu that fit our style perfectly. We enjoyed the to go box of food that was sent home with us as well! We got so many compliments during the reception on the food as well!
WOW!
We got the service we paid for, delivered by people willing to go above and beyond. I can say NOTHING bad about working with A Divine Event. Look they can make it happen. My wife and I drive semi trucks for a living. We had a really complex and dynamic idea for our wedding. They were able to accommodate procuring a hard to get drink from out of the country for our toasting. They helped out more than neccessary, providing excellent and friendly advice! We also did our reception through their design department, and we were MOVED by how well they helped us refine our vision, and make it a reality. These guys KNOW what they are doing, which is freaking great because nobody has any idea how to go about planning a wedding. These folks will be in your corner if you employ them, that I promise you.
My wedding at Primrose Cottage designed and managed by the team at Divine Events, was absolutely incredible!! From our walk through with Donna on Day 1 to our design meeting with the effervescent Jenny to every perfect moment of the Day-Of with Jennifer Newberry...our experience could not have been better. The venue was gorgeous, our dream design was articulated perfectly, and the management of the day was handled with grace, class and effeciency. Our guests are still raving about the food (omg...parmesan rissoto wheel and crab fondue) and how gorgeous the space was. I could not recommend them more. And THANK YOU Divine Events!
Their name suits them so well. Literally hands down the best food and service I could’ve asked for!
We were absolutely thrilled with our experience with A Divine Event! After doing a few tastings with other companies, no ones food and presentation/experience compared to ADE. In the days leading up to the wedding, Chris and everyone on staff was incredibly accommodating and responsive and made any necessary changes or advice/ideas on setup, colors, etc. The day of was as perfect as we could have imagined. The setup and decor, as well as the service team was stellar all night long--we have had several wedding guests come up to us and rave about how good the food was. Plus my new husband and I loved munching on the take home box the next day! I would absolutely recommend ADE to anyone looking to have a seamless, perfect wedding day!
Our guests said: The food was OUTSTANDING! They were talking about how good the food was for two days after the wedding. Now, my husband and I did not get to enjoy the food like we thought we were going to, because the box of food they packed for us was portioned extremely small. We were told we would be given a to-go box containing some of EVERYTHING. However we only got two or three selections from a plethora of food that was served at the reception. What we did get to nibble on during the reception was great.
The food was outstanding! Another vendor canceled and I planned the event the week of wedding. we did a rehearsal dinner for 80 and it was spot on! The mac and cheese balls were delicious and baked ziti was excellent. Expensive but worth it
Our food from A Divine Event was fabulous! It seems they are a very busy company - the only reason I gave four stars is because they were hard to get in touch with at times or would occasionally forget about changes we had asked about. The food was absolutely amazing though, and relatively speaking a good deal!
A Divine Event did a great job in making our day perfect! The food was amazing, the flowers were beautiful, and the decorations really added to our venue. Jenny helped us with flowers and decorations and we fell in love with her immediately! She was by far one of my favorite people to work with- she knew what she was talking about and didn't try to ruin our budget! We highly recommend a Divine Event!
The food was delicious! Especially the short ribs! The wedding and groom's cakes were gorgeous and exactly what we wanted. The decor was stunning!!
Three letters...Y-U-M! Divine Events catered my wedding reception at Flint Hill and they did an absolute fantastic job! The menu I selected exceeded my expectations and guests were asking for 2nd and 3rd plates!
wonderful food, decor, flowers & cake. would recommend.
Food was excellent and everyone is still raving about the cake! They did a wonderful job!!
From the delicious food that my guests raved about to the stunning decor and incredibly beautiful floral arrangements, everything this team touched turned out wonderfully! Their attention to detail was much appreciated, as well!
The professionals at A Divine Event are truly PROFESSIONALS! They know how to ask all the right questions to anticipate and prepare for any needs that you, your family, and your guests may incur on the day of your wedding. We worked most directly with Heather and Channing who both had excellent communication and were a pleasure to work with. The serving staff that A Diving Event employs are also top-notch, and they added to our wedding with their welcoming and friendly personalities. Our food was catered by A Diving Event, and we had many compliments from people saying how delicious everything was! We also worked with the Design Studio through A Diving Event. The design elements that Terry and his team created were stunning! Great staff, great food, great company!
Everything was perfect from the food to the flowers, decor and cake. My guests (and my groom and I) raved about the food and the cake was incredible. Every touch perfect.
I used A Divine Event for just about everything: cake, food, and flowers! WOW! I am still getting compliments on everything. The food was delicious and there were so many options. Extremely fresh! AND THE CAKE! I have never tasted a more soft, cremey, and delicious cake! My guests were raving about it. I can not wait for my first anniversary, so I can take a bite of the top layer! Everything was so beautiful and picture perfect! I would recommend in a heartbeat!
I worked with Divine for my March 12th wedding at the Atlanta Biltmore.
Honestly, Divine is perfect.
They seriously go above and beyond to make sure that your wedding is just what you had envisioned.
I worked with Diane Park and she is the most thorough and responsive person I worked with throughout my wedding planning process. I started planning my wedding right in the middle of the holiday season, so talking to caterers was very frustrating. They basically told me that they will not be doing any tastings or any consults till after the holiday season. Diane and Divine do not operate like that and will answer all and any questions you have promptly, despite being bombarded with holiday parties.
I had a very specific menu in mind for my wedding and Diane really went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect for the day of. We probably went through at least 5 menu changes and Diane really took everything in stride and was so patient throughout the whole process!
Also, the food is beyond amazing. They are not your typical wedding caterer. The food they serve is restaurant quality food. My guests are still talking about how wonderful the food was!
Their waitstaff is also amazing. Divine provides the bride and groom with their own personal server who basically caterers to your every need, which you will most definitely need. (Nobody tells you how heavy wedding dresses are!)
All in all, I cannot say enough good things about Divine.
Our wedding was at the Biltmore Ballrooms on January 30th. Divine did an excellent job on our catering and flowers. Everyone loved the food, and the decor was absolutely beautiful! Diane Park was amazing to work with. We had so many people commenting on how delicious the food was. Terry did a great job with the decor. All of our flowers turned out beautiful. It was perfect to work with you.
A BIG Thank You to A DIVINE EVENT! You made my wedding perfect! The food was delicious and the presentation was perfect. My flowers were amazing! The design team was fun to work with and exceed all my expectations. I have received so many compliments on the food and flowers! Thank you to Sara and the whole team for making my dream wedding come true!
It was my pleasure working with Divine Events. The food was outstanding and the presentation was beautiful too. Terry you took our vision and made it a reality. It went beyond our dreams. The flowers were perfect and the bouquet was amazing. Jill you were so helpful, patient and kind. I truly appreciate all of your time and commitment.
Jill and Terry – Thank you both SO MUCH for your help this year planning our dream wedding! Everything was beyond perfect and guests are still raving about the food (I even dream about the food!), the décor and about how friendly the staff was! There aren't enough words that can express our gratitude. I highly recommend A Divine Event to any bride. They will exceed your expectations and all of the food is out of this world melt in your mouth good! I want to relive that day forever!
I loved working with A Divine Event for my wedding! Their food was absolutely delicious, and their prices were very reasonable. The best part of working with them, though, was the people. All of the servers at our wedding were professional and helpful, and having a personal server for the bride and groom was fantastic. Also, they were incredibly easy to communicate with throughout the planning process, and they made sure that we had everything we wanted on our wedding day. The cake presentation table and the overall decor provided by them was also great. I'd highly recommend A Divine Event for any wedding reception!
We were married in a private home in Country Club of the South which made the entire wedding a bit more complicated. It took a small village of very professional vendors to make it special. A Divine Event did an awesome job for us. The guests thought the food was amazing. Not only were we pleased with that aspect, they had to flip a room from a ceremony to a dinner reception during a one hour cocktail party. The room and the food stations looked amazing. We had a chance to thank the chefs who cooked on site (in the garage) for their efforts. The entire staff was friendly, professional, and there to make our night special. We were assigned a person who made sure we got an chance to eat and drink too - I cannot tell you how important that was when you are talking to guests but want to eat too! Thank you to the team at A Divine Event - I would highly recommend them.
My son and his bride to be fell in love with this place the minute they saw it! Rustic yet elegant. They really had a hard time finding just the perfect venue they had in mind. Once we attended the tasting, we knew it was also a great choice because the food was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff is amazing and the event coordinator, Jill, easy to work with. They adjusted well for weather thoughout the day as it changed and really knew how to utilize all areas of the venue to the best advantage.
Working with A Divine Event was one of the best decisions I made while planning my wedding! I got married at Flint Hill on October 11th; A Divine Event came with the package for my wedding. That being said, if I could have chosen a different caterer, I wouldn't have.
All of my guests raved about the food! All of my menu selections were executed perfectly, even down to my options for picky eaters. This company is totally professional and truly wants to ensure that your big day is what you always hoped it would be. (And I'm still craving that amazing gruyere macaroni and cheese!)
Wow! Cloverleaf Farm was everything I ever dreamed of. I immediately fell in love with the beautiful scenic backdrop of the ceremony location and the history of the property. Taylor and I had the pleasure of working with the amazing-talented-hilarious-compassionate Jill Cunningham. She took my very detailed vision and brought it to life, answered all of my ridiculous questions, was available just to chat at all hours of the day, most importantly reminded me to breath moments before walking down the aisle.... Every detail was flawlessly put together, not one little thing left behind and she did it with a smile and her charming wit. The rest of the staff was amazing, let me just say that one of my (having-such-a-great-time) bridesmaids left her phone at the venue and one of the bartenders drove to downtown Athens to deliver it to her at 1:30am. No questions asked, by far the most dedicated group of people I've ever worked with and I'm an event coordinator! Thank you, thank you... -Natalie Crosby
My daughter and now son-in-law chose Cloverleaf Farm as the venue for their October 2015 wedding. The entire journey, from beginning to end, was absolutely a pleasure. There are always stresses with planning a wedding, but A Divine Event was not part of that. Jill Cunningham, our event planner, made all of us feel so at ease. She was so personable and knows what she's doing, but not the least bit pushy. The best part was her sense of humor. I really had a friend to stand by all along the way. Donna, our wedding director, was also a pleasure to work with.
The compliments on Natalie and D.A.'s wedding haven't stopped coming. Cloverleaf Farm is the most spectacular and appropriate we saw in searching for a venue. It was so nice having a "one-stop-shop" for the catering. They also allowed us bring our own alcohol, but provided the bartenders. There were no surprises. Everyone had a wonderful time, and both sides of the family were thrilled. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!
Booking A Divine Event to cater our wedding was a very smart decision. This business is one of the most efficient, dependable, well-oiled machines I've ever seen! They have weddings and events down to a science! The food was delicious -- I'm still having cravings. The service was impeccable.
A Divine Event, attached to my venue, Primrose Cottage, was incredible when it came to polishing my ideas for our wedding! Sara Gagnon knows flowers better than anyone I have ever met. She knew how to make the perfect combination for my bridemaids' flowers, every floral arrangement in the venue-it was amazing! She took her time with me, making sure every single detail was exactly what I wanted. She was also not afraid to "use my words against me" so that my vision was as clear as possible to carry out my vision. When we went to the Romancing the Bride event at Primrose, we tasted several of the dishes that we chose for our dinner. Keep in mind that this is your sole opportunity to have food tastings, and there will be choices that you will have to just hope for the best on. No need to worry, though- everything was flawless! The lobster mac and cheese was a must-have for us after we tried it at Romancing the Bride. My only complaint is that after asking a staff member to make sure that the lobster mac and cheese was in our to-go bag, it was never carried out! However, this was a very small concern after everything else went flawlessly.
We loved working with A Divine Event for our wedding. We cancelled all of our other tastings after meeting with them-there was no need to go anywhere else. We were looking for a fun, different menu which they offer in addition to the classics. Everyone on the Divine staff are the nicest people to work with. The food and service was amazing-highly recommend!
Sarah did a great job at evaluating my many pins on Pinterest and helping me decide the floral look for my wedding while saying within the budget. She also designed pieces for the ceremony that were reused for the reception and provided valuable input in figuring out the design of our nontraditional ceremony. The flowers turned out to be vibrant and I received so many compliments on my floral crown, a last minute add to our order.
