We had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Fresh Connection Catering during one of the most devastating times of our lives. Our wedding venue was destroyed by Hurricane Helene, leaving us no choice but to cancel our wedding entirely due to the venue’s extensive damage and our own personal losses. We reached out to Fresh Connection Catering immediately after the disaster, explaining the situation and hoping for understanding given the extraordinary circumstances. To our shock and disappointment, they insisted on keeping a $693 "admin" fee. This fee felt completely unjustified, especially since the cancellation was entirely due to a natural disaster beyond anyone's control. Adding to the frustration, our family had gone out of their way to help by covering the cost of a bathroom rental for the event. Despite everything, Fresh Connection Catering initially refused to issue a full refund for this rental. After weeks of waiting and vague communication, they finally returned the full refund, but the delay and lack of clarity were frustrating and added stress to an already difficult situation. To make matters worse, the refundable portion of our payment was held by Fresh Connection Catering for weeks, with the company refusing to provide a clear timeline for when we could expect it. Every interaction was met with vague, unhelpful responses, which only added unnecessary stress to an already devastating time. Rather than showing compassion or flexibility, Fresh Connection Catering chose to prioritize profit over humanity. Their rigid policies, poor communication, and lack of empathy during times of crisis made a heartbreaking situation even worse. I would strongly caution anyone considering Fresh Connection Catering. Their unwillingness to adapt to extraordinary circumstances, failure to provide accountability, and lack of compassion for their clients in times of need speak volumes about their priorities.
